How you are cut down to the ground, who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, “I will ascend into heaven! I will exalt my throne above the stars of God! I will sit on the mountain of assembly, in the far north! I will ascend above the heights of the clouds! I will make myself like the Most High!” Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the depths of the pit. Those who see you will stare at you. They will ponder you, saying, “Is this the man who made the earth to tremble, who shook kingdoms; who made the world like a wilderness, and overthrew its cities; who didn’t release his prisoners to their home?”” (Isaiah 14:12-17 WEB) Hi dear reader, the passage above is God’s prophecy of judgment against the King of Babylon, not Satan: “that you will take up this parable against the king of Babylon, and say, “How the oppressor has ceased! The golden city has ceased!”” (Isaiah 14:4 WEB) Another proof that Isaiah 14 is not directly talking about Satan is because it says that the souls in Sheol (hell) will ponder and ask “is this the man”. Man - not devil, fallen angel or demon. However seeing the pride that oozes from the five “I will” statements in the passage, it’s undeniable that Satan was working behind the scenes, using the King of Babylon for his own demonic agendas. I believe that each of the 5 points of the pentagram (star) which the occult uses for their magic spells, represents each one of the arrogant “I will” statements. The star itself represents “morning star, son of the dawn”, in reference to Satan, the false god which those who practice the occult knowingly or unknowingly worship. Through the passage, we can also infer Satan’s main mission: He is working to develop a way to gain access to heaven on his own terms, so that he can usurp God’s throne and change his fate (of being thrown into the lake of fire at the end of time).

The Book of Life, Books of Remembrance and How God Predestined us for Salvation“And I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them [for this heaven and earth are passing away]. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the Book of Life; and the dead were judged according to what they had done as written in the books [that is, everything done while on earth]. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and death and Hades (the realm of the dead) surrendered the dead who were in them; and they were judged and sentenced, every one according to their deeds. Then death and Hades [the realm of the dead] were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire [the eternal separation from God]. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was hurled into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:11-15 AMP) Hi dear reader, the passage above teaches us that there are at least two types of books about us that God has in heaven: Books of Remembrance which records the deeds of every person, and the Book of Life which records the names of every person who will have eternal life. Additionally, we learn that the only criteria for someone to be thrown into the lake of fire is that his name is not in the Book of Life. These two types of books are written at different points in time. Who are the Two Witnesses during the Great Tribulation? Moses and Elijah is the Wrong Combination25/7/2018 Who are the Two Witnesses during the Great Tribulation? Moses and Elijah is the Wrong Combination“And I will grant authority to My two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days (forty-two months; three and one-half years), dressed in sackcloth.”” (REVELATION 11:3 AMP) After my pastor friend asked me about my opinion on this topic, I dug into God’s word to study about the identity of the two witnesses who will rise up during the Great Tribulation, and here are my findings. Many people believe them to be Moses and Elijah, and I’ve ever read articles online saying the same thing, leading me to believe that before. This is probably due to the fact that these two witnesses will be moving in the same judgment anointing as Moses and Elijah when we look at the nature of the miracles they performed: “And if anyone wants to harm them, fire comes out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way. These [two witnesses] have the power [from God] to shut up the sky, so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophesying [regarding judgment and salvation]; and they have power over the waters (seas, rivers) to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every [kind of] plague, as often as they wish. (REVELATION 11:5-6 AMP) The fire and shutting up of the sky to have no rain reminds us of Elijah’s ministry. The water turning into blood and striking the earth with plagues reminds us of Moses’ ministry. However now after studying deeper into this topic, I don’t think that Moses can be one of the two witnesses anymore. 22 Feb 2017 – The Rapture is Your Blessed Hope in Dark Times – Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online – New Creation Church Midweek Service Sermon Notes OnlineTaste and see that the Lord is good. It is for us to experience and enjoy. It’s not just a concept, it’s a reality. God’s goodness will lead us to repentance. His goodness, if experienced first, will bring us to victory. Under the Old Covenant you have to repent before you see God’s goodness. Today, God says “Take as much as you can”. Even the capacity to receive His goodness, is goodness itself. Take God’s goodness first and you will repent without realizing it. The devil is outplaying his hand – By causing the focus to be on Israel in these last days, he is actually fulfilling Bible prophecy. Jesus said “your house is left to you desolate”. About 40 years after that, the Romans came in, destroyed the temple, and the Jews were scattered to the four corners of the earth. The Bible says that the Jews will come back again as a nation. We have seen Israel come back as a nation in our generation. God wants us to realize and to be alerted to the fact that we are in the last days. The Lord is our Bridegroom and He is coming back for us (His bride). Before the worst happens, the Lord will come back for us. The Great Tribulation is coming. It is also called the time of Jacob’s trouble. Many people are confused as to whether the Rapture will happen pre-Trib, mid-Trib or post-Trib. Some people say that they are “pan-Trib” – what does that mean? It means it will all pan out. That shows ignorance. The Lord doesn’t want us to be ignorant about His coming. After Jesus died, Mary Magdalene didn’t believe that Jesus rose from the dead, but she loved Him. Like Mary, we got to have a heart of love for Jesus. It’s better to have a heart full of love without having perfectly correct doctrine, than a mind full of Bible knowledge but with a heart as cold as ice. King Herod asked the Chief Priests and the Scribes where the Messiah will be born. They told the king that the Prophet Nahum said that the Messiah will be born in Bethlehem Ephratah. They used Bible knowledge to come against the Lord. Why do we want Bible knowledge? To tell our friends that we have more information than them? That’s pride. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. The Lord can teach those with a heart of love and take care of their doctrine. 24 August 2016 (Midweek Service) - Powerful Truths From the Book of Revelation - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineEven if you don't understand what the word of God is talking about, it is still cleansing you and you can receive healing through it. There's no such thing as the gospel on one side and the message of grace on the other side. There is only one gospel - the gospel of grace! This gospel is as old as the Apostle Paul! Christians don't like mud. A sheep may fall into the mud but it doesn't like to be dirty. A pig on the other hand, will be wallowing in the mud, having a great time. It doesn't mean that believers don't sin anymore, but it's not a believer's nature to sin. The more you identify with your new nature (you are the righteousness of God in Christ), the more you will be victorious over sin, and you will sin less and less. We are not identified with sin but we are identified with righteousness! The world is afraid of contagious diseases. With Jesus, wholeness, life and health are contagious. It doesn't mean we won't fall sick, but it means that we will get sick less and less. Matthew 5:1-2 - Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount while seated down. It's a good idea to do that to prevent fainting or falling down (haha). “And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:” (Matthew 5:1-2 NKJV |
