12 Apr 2020 - Sit and See your Enemies Defeated by God - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesGod will give you victory over your enemies—you only need to rest in your position in Christ. Your spirit man is seated with Him in Heaven, far above all principalities and powers. Don’t be afraid of lack—just see the supply by faith and walk with the Holy Spirit, one step at a time. Praise and Worship Songs Performed: 1. Anthem of Grace - New Creation Worship 2. My King - New Creation Worship 3. Forgiven Much - New Creation Worship 4. How Great Thou Art When there is a sermon in the Book of Acts recorded for us, the emphasis is on Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. Jesus was not resurrected to die again like Lazarus or the widow’s son. He was raised in a new body, never to die again. The Rapture refers to “harpazo” which is the snatching away of the church. It is a mystery revealed to the church. In the twinkling of an eye, we will be changed and be caught up to meet our Lord Jesus in the air. There will be no trace of sin in our new glorified bodies. Paul said “those who are alive and remain” twice. It is one thing to be alive, and another to remain. To remain denotes power. In the last days, the church will have the revelation that they can remain alive until Jesus’ return. Elderly Simeon in the temple was promised that he would not see death until his eyes see the appearing of Israel’s salvation (Yeshua). “So much the more as you see the Day approaching” means that this coronavirus pandemic will end and we will be able to gather physically to worship God as a church again before Jesus’ return. Matthew 24:36-39 - This passage implies the idea of crowds and gatherings before Jesus returns for His church. This means that the coronavirus pandemic will end. Pastor Prince believes that this passage cannot be referring to the Second Coming of Christ because once the Tribulation begins, you can count 7 years to predict when Jesus will return again. So this passage is talking about the Rapture. “But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only. “As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and they didn’t know until the flood came, and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:36-39 WEB) God has released a new ‘strain’ of anointing and healing for His people. The devil released the coronavirus as a counterattack—the devil tries to play catch up to what God does. As a spirit being, the devil can see what God is doing, but he doesn’t know the future. Anything that is visible and tangible is temporal. With God, the things that are invisible are eternal. God’s spiritual blessings produces that which is material and temporal. Psalms 91:1-2 - The word “dwells” comes from the Hebrew word “yeshav” which means to sit. You cannot remove yourself from the secret place of the Most High, because the secret place is being in Christ Jesus. You are seated with Christ in the heavenly places. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”” (Psalms 91:1-2 WEB) Ephesians 2:4-7 - You have a special interest in Jesus’ resurrection, because what happened to Him also happened to you. Your history in Christ begins at the cross. Your “old man” was crucified there with Him. To your experience, the old man seems to be still here, but to God and faith, it is gone. We have been raised far above all principalities and powers, including the coronavirus. Our identity is in Christ Jesus. For God to remove us from Christ is to remove Christ Himself—it’s impossible that this will happen. Jesus is our righteousness. He is the measure of our righteousness. Grace is not just a dispensation. Grace will continue forever. There is a “show” coming and you’ve never seen any show like it before. God will present the riches of His grace to us in the ages to come. God doesn’t want you to just mentally know that you’re seated with Christ. “Use” the secret place of the Most High by actively resting in Christ and believing that you’re seated far above all principalities and powers. How can we be seated with Christ now if we are still here on earth? God is outside of time and space. That’s why Jesus could die for the sins of the world throughout time. The cross is outside time. Your spirit man is now seated outside of time, with Christ in the heavenly places. We are tripartite beings—spirit, soul and body. “But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus;” (Ephesians 2:4-7 WEB) When a believer dies, it’s not really death but “falling asleep”. He steps out of his body immediately, being more alive than before since the encumbrance of his sinful flesh is gone. Proverbs 18:14 - A Jewish rabbi, Yonatan Ben Uzziel translated the oral law—the books of the prophets Malachi, Zechariah and Haggai. In the first century AD, he translated the word “sickness” in the verse below as “coronei” in Aramaic which is also corona/crown. The word sustain in Hebrew is “cul” which means to protect or defend. A man’s spirit will protect him from “corona”. This is prophetic of our times. When you rest in Christ, that's faith, and you're protected from the coronavirus. Our spirit man is seated with Christ in heavenly places. God wants us to rise up higher and see from His perspective. You’re seated with Christ, so Abba God is just on your left hand. Pray knowing that God is so close to you. You don’t have to ‘bombard the gates of Heaven’ with your prayers because you’re not outside Heaven. “A man’s spirit will sustain him in sickness, but a crushed spirit, who can bear?” (Proverbs 18:14 WEB)

John 1:16-17 - This is Pastor Prince’s favorite verse. It defines his ministry — to differentiate Law and Grace. Many Christians are mistaken that God is stern and angry with them. God the Father does not look like an old man. Up in heaven, no one is old. Pastor Prince heard God say in his heart, “Up here we are forever young”. Growing old is because of sin. If you live in Him, you’ll be forever young. Those in hell also live forever, but not with the quality of life like believers have: eternal life. Moses is a servant but Jesus is the Son. A servant doesn’t have the same standing and position as the Son. The Law was given from a distance — God gave it from a mountain and through intermediaries: angels. The mountain was shrouded in darkness, fire, thunderings, causing even Moses to fear and tremble. But we are not under Law. We are under Grace. Grace came — that speaks of closeness and being personal. The first miracle of the Law done by Moses was to turn water into blood, resulting in death. The first of miracle of a Grace done by Jesus was to turn water into wine, resulting in celebration. Under the Law, God visits the sins and inquiries of a person up to the third and fourth generation. Under Grace, God remembers our sins no more. There has been a change. At the cross, the Law’s holy and righteous demands were fulfilled and God’s love for man was magnified. The Ten Commandments is to be obeyed in both in the actions and in the heart. The Law was given to bring man to the end of himself, so that he would know he needs a Savior. Don’t mess with sin — sin will cost you more than you’re willing to pay. “From his fullness we all received grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:16-17 WEB) We were all born in sin. Our lives are intricately linked to our ancestors — we received sin in our blood from them. God made a garden and placed the first man and woman in there. God told them that they are free to eat from any tree except for 1 tree: the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God made man with free choice. That tree existed in the garden to allow man to exercise their free choice. Man chose sin — you can choose sin but you can’t choose its consequences. The wages of sin is penalty. If God forgave man without a righteous basis, He would be loving, but not righteous. He can’t just sweep our sins under the rug and say that boys will be boys, and just acquit us of our sins. Jesus wept at Lazarus’ tomb because He knew that it’s not God’s plan for man to die. Death is foreign to us. We hate to talk about death. Death has been conquered for us. Jesus didn’t rise up spiritually — He rose bodily! Sin has been put away, in the body of Jesus. God hates sin, but God loves you. Sin is destroying everything good in your life for you. God hates sin so much because God loves you very much. 1 April 2018 - Resurrection Sunday: Our Leprosy was Perfectly Cleansed - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlinePraise and Worship songs performed:
Jesus conquered Death, grave and Hell and rose from the dead. It was never God’s plan for man to die. God loves man and gave him free choice. Man can freely choose their actions but they cannot choose the consequence of their actions. God calls Death an enemy. The shortest verse in the Bible says: “Jesus wept”. Jesus wept at Lazarus’ tomb because it was never God’s plan for man to die. God is a Judge. He is a loving and generous God but He also has to exact justice. God is Love but He also has to preside as a Judge. Man chose to sin against God so Death, sickness and every bad thing came into the world as a consequence of the sin. God hates sin but He loves the sinner. To the degree which God loves us, He hates sin. No one could dream of God’s plan to send His Son to die for us so that He can be righteous in making us righteous. Man sins because they are sinners. Sin is hereditary in the blood because of Adam’s sin. A child doesn’t have to be taught to lie - they know it already. |
