7 May 2023 - Clothed With Power From God - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence Lim7/5/2023 7 May 2023 - Clothed With Power From God - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence LimNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lawrence preached a powerful message about spiritual warfare, emphasizing the importance of putting on the whole armor of God, especially through believing the Gospel and praying in tongues. Praise and worship songs performed: 1. Rain Upon My Life - New Creation Worship 2. Majesty - New Spring 3. Holy Forever - Chris Tomlin 4. No Other Name - Hillsong Music 5. Worthy Of It All - David Brymer There will be a great end-time revival. Many souls will be saved. God wants to heal your mind in 2023. Isaiah 59:14-17 - We still live on a fallen earth. Sometimes untimely events happen, even premature death. This is not God’s will, but sometimes things like that happen and it hurts. We have the strong consolation that our departed loved ones in Christ are with Jesus. It is not a loss but a win for them either way. “Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has fallen in the street, and uprightness can’t enter. Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Yahweh saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness sustained him. He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head. He put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.” (Isaiah 59:14-17 WEBUS) Ephesians 6:10-13 - When you put on the armor of God, you look like God and strike fear into the hearts of your spiritual enemies. God wants you to wear His armor because there is spiritual warfare. Make sure you put on the whole armor and don’t miss out on any pieces. “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:10-13 WEBUS) Ephesians 6:14-20 - You put on the armor of God by believing. It is about faith. Salvation is what Jesus did for us, to deliver us from sin’s penalty and power. The “word of God” here is referring to “rhema” (what God is currently saying), not “logos” (the word of God that has been revealed). When you pray in tongues (praying in the Spirit), the enemy trembles in fear because it is how you activate the sword of the Spirit. “Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints. Pray for me, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” (Ephesians 6:14-20 WEBUS)

2 April 2023 - Unpacking The Passion Of Christ - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence LimNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lawrence Lim expounded on the sufferings and death of Jesus Christ and how it affects us as believers in Him. This Gospel message is important for us to understand the finished work of Christ at the cross! Praise and worship songs performed: (I missed the songs before this)
Exodus 32:3 - In this verse we find “Aleph Tav”. It is the divine signature of Jesus Christ. In the Book of Revelation, He calls Himself “The first and the last”. Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet and Tav is the last letter. The golden rings in the ears represent hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is meant to be received by hearing it. Every time you hear the Gospel preached, something good happens to you. “All the people took off the golden rings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron.” (Exodus 32:3 WEBUS) The anointing of God is primarily for you to preach the Gospel and to heal the broken-hearted and sick. To know the will of God, we look at Jesus and what He did and said. Romans 1:16-17 - We receive the power of God by hearing the Gospel of Christ, not by doing with our hands. “For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek. For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”” (Romans 1:16-17 WEBUS) God’s word is life and health to all your flesh. The “Passion” refers to the sufferings and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. There is nothing you can do to make God love you more. To suggest that means you’re saying that God held back in loving you. No, He loves us to the uttermost, and He will never love us less. Luke 22:44 - Just the anticipation of becoming sin at the cross caused Jesus to sweat blood. Doctors call this condition “hematidrosis”: when one is under extreme stress, the blood capillaries burst and intermingles with perspiration. Jesus sweat blood to redeem us from the curse of sweat that was pronounced upon man in the Garden of Eden. His sweat also dripped onto the ground that was cursed as well. Thanks to Jesus’ blood, blessings come easy to us and wherever we walk is favored ground. “Being in agony, he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.” (Luke 22:44 WEBUS) Jesus said “I AM” and the temple guards who came to arrest Him in the Garden of Gethsemane fell back to the ground. Jesus was not captured because He was helpless. He willingly gave up His life for us. In the midst of the chaos, Peter severed Malchus’ ear. Jesus who is always full of peace, picked up the severed ear and restored the ear to Malchus, healing him. He healed a person who wanted Him dead. Jesus lived by His words of “love your enemies”. Let go of grudges and forgive those who have hurt you, just as God has forgiven you in Christ. At supper on the night of Passover, Jesus already knew that Judas was going to betray Him, and yet He still washed Jesus’ feet. Back then, washing a person’s feet was the job of the lowliest servants. It was an act of love that Jesus did. Don’t punish yourself and live in condemnation. God loves you and has forgiven you. It is a new beginning today. God’s compassions fail not. Peter boasted that even if all the disciples forsook Jesus, he wouldn’t. Jesus told him that before the rooster crowed, Peter would betray Him three times. Peter denied Jesus with cursing and swearing, and when the rooster crowed, Jesus turned to look at Peter with eyes of love. That is why Peter cried. Even if you have failed, God can still use you. Peter denied Jesus three times and yet Jesus restored him to the ministry of apostleship. Peter was used to preach to multitudes on the Day of Pentecost and three thousand souls were saved. 4 December 2022 - Filled With The Spirit As You Praise - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence LimNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lawrence Lim taught us how to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit. When we praise the Lord, we receive power, wisdom, and the blessings of God! Praise and worship songs performed:
Ephesians 5:15-21 - We need to be careful about how we live our lives. The days are evil so we need to walk wisely. “Filled” is in the present passive imperative tense. The Amplified Bible translates it as “ever be filled with the Holy Spirit”. You can keep on being filled with the Holy Spirit when you sing praises to God. Give thanks in all things. God will make all things work together for our good. We praise God who is good, not our circumstances. When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will receive humility and wisdom. “Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ.” (Ephesians 5:15-21 WEBUS) We can learn something from anyone and anything. Don’t feel entitled as though the world owes you anything. 1 Samuel 16:14-16 - Even the servants knew that anointed music has the power to drive away the evil spirit. “Now Yahweh’s Spirit departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from Yahweh troubled him. Saul’s servants said to him, “See now, an evil spirit from God troubles you. Let our Lord now command your servants who are in front of you to seek out a man who is a skillful player on the harp. Then when the evil spirit from God is on you, he will play with his hand, and you will be well.”” (1 Samuel 16:14-16 WEBUS) 1 Samuel 16:21-23 - Music is God’s gift to man. It can refresh you. God will impart wisdom to you when you are refreshed. “David came to Saul and stood before him. He loved him greatly; and he became his armor bearer. Saul sent to Jesse, saying, “Please let David stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight.” When the spirit from God was on Saul, David took the harp and played with his hand; so Saul was refreshed and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.” (1 Samuel 16:21-23 WEBUS) 2 Kings 3:9-19 - Elisha didn’t want to help Ahab because Ahab was evil. But for Jehoshaphat’s sake, he was willing to help. Elisha understood that when anointed music is played, the prophetic word of the Lord will come. “So the king of Israel went with the king of Judah and the king of Edom, and they marched for seven days along a circuitous route. There was no water for the army or for the animals that followed them. The king of Israel said, “Alas! For Yahweh has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.” But Jehoshaphat said, “Isn’t there a prophet of Yahweh here, that we may inquire of Yahweh by him?” One of the king of Israel’s servants answered, “Elisha the son of Shaphat, who poured water on the hands of Elijah, is here.” Jehoshaphat said, “Yahweh’s word is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him. Elisha said to the king of Israel, “What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father, and to the prophets of your mother.” The king of Israel said to him, “No, for Yahweh has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.” Elisha said, “As Yahweh of Armies lives, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I respect the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward you, nor see you. But now bring me a musician.” When the musician played, Yahweh’s hand came on him. He said, “Yahweh says, ‘Make this valley full of trenches.’ For Yahweh says, ‘You will not see wind, neither will you see rain, yet that valley will be filled with water, and you will drink, both you and your livestock and your other animals. This is an easy thing in Yahweh’s sight. He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand. You shall strike every fortified city and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all springs of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.’”” (2 Kings 3:9-19 WEBUS) 2 October 2022 - It Is God’s Will To Heal - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence Lim2/10/2022 2 October 2022 - It Is God’s Will To Heal - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence LimNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lawrence Lim showed us from the Scriptures how it is surely God’s will to heal today, and how we are at the brink of a great healing revival in these end times! Praise and worship songs performed:
Matthew 24:5-8 - We are living in the end times. These things that Jesus prophesied are happening on a frequency and scale like never before. “For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will lead many astray. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places. But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.” (Matthew 24:5-8 WEBUS) 1 Thessalonians 1:10 - Our Christian posture in the end times is to look for Jesus’ return. New Creation Church’s belief is that the Rapture will happen before the Tribulation. “and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead: Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.” (1 Thessalonians 1:10 WEBUS) Titus 2:11-14 - We are looking for the blessed hope and appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.” (Titus 2:11-14 WEBUS) Isaiah 66:8 - The United Nations came together and decided to give Israel independence because they had endured through the Holocaust. On 14 May 1948, Israel became a nation again in one day. This prophecy was fulfilled. “Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she gave birth to her children.” (Isaiah 66:8 WEBUS) Luke 21:24 - This prophecy has been partially fulfilled. For the first time in 2000 years, Israel has regained control of many of its ancient sites. “They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” (Luke 21:24 WEBUS) Hebrews 10:14-18 - God does not remember our sins anymore (the charges have been dropped because Jesus paid for them). “For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,” says the Lord, “I will put my laws on their heart, I will also write them on their mind;” then he says, “I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more.” Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.” (Hebrews 10:14-18 WEBUS) Hebrews 10:19-25 - The veil in the second temple was torn from top to bottom when Jesus died at the cross. It means we have access into the Holy of Holies. Draw near, not shrink away. An evil conscience is when you don’t believe that your sins have been forgiven. God has promised to bless us so we can believe His word and hold fast the confession of our hope. Let us keep encouraging each other to do good works as worship unto the Lord. Gathering as a church on Sunday is great. We are instructed not to forsake our assembling together even as we see the Day (Rapture) approaching. “Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh, and having a great priest over God’s house, let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and having our body washed with pure water, let’s hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful. Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:19-25 WEBUS) 5 June 2022 - God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence LimNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lawrence Lim explained what it means to seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness. When we understand this clear and liberating truth, we will see God’s abundant blessings added to us! Praise and Worship Song Performed: 1. Jesus Loves Me This I Know 2. Wonderful (Grace Made Real) - New Creation Worship 3. Build My Life - Brett Younker 4. There Is None Like You Today is Pentecost Sunday. On this day back then, the Holy Spirit came as a mighty rushing wind and filled one hundred and twenty disciples in the upper room. Acts 1:4-8 - The “promise” is the infilling of the Holy Spirit—the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. The power of the Holy Spirit has never diminished or stopped throughout human history. “Being assembled together with them, he commanded them, “Don’t depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which you heard from me. For John indeed baptized in water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Therefore when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, are you now restoring the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It isn’t for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set within his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.”” (Acts 1:4-8 WEB) John 14:12-14 - When Jesus says “most assuredly,” it is time to pay attention to what He says next. The church will do greater works than Jesus did. This is what He promised. No man ever raised a man who has been dead for four days until Jesus did it. No man’s shadow ever healed the sick until Peter’s shadow did it. Open your mind to the possibility of God doing something new. “Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father. Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:12-14 WEB) Healing is our inheritance. If we ask for healing, our Father will not give us a stone. He is good. 10 April 2022 - God’s Fullness In The Church - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon NotesNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lawrence Lim taught that we will see greater miraculous works than Jesus did two thousand years ago, and that there will be a huge end-time revival and harvest for the church of Jesus Christ! Praise and Worship Song Performed: 1. Raise A Hallelujah - Elevation Worship 2. Worthy - Elevation Worship 3. Jesus At The Centre - Israel Houghton God does not just have love, He is love. You will receive your awaited breakthrough as you hear the preached Word about Jesus Christ. Matthew 25:35-40 - This is why the church is involved in good works like alleviating the suffering of refugees in Ukraine. “for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’ “The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” (Matthew 25:35-40 WEB) Matthew 5:16 - Sometimes we do not have the opportunity to preach the Gospel directly to a person, but through our good works, people will glorify God. “Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16 WEB) Galatians 3:13 - God has redeemed us from the curse. “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”” (Galatians 3:13 WEB) Ephesians 1:3 - God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ;” (Ephesians 1:3 WEB) John 10:10 - It is the devil who kills, steals, and destroys. God’s heart is to bless man. It is even better for one to be a blessing to others than to be a receiver. “The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.” (John 10:10 WEB) 20 March 2022 - Washed By The Love Of Christ - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon NotesNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lawrence Lim preached about two significant incidents of washing feet in the New Testament. When we see God’s great love revealed, we can also extend love and forgiveness to the people in our lives! Praise and Worship Song Performed: 1. Peace Be Still - The Belonging Co feat. Lauren Daigle 2. Fall Afresh On Me - New Creation Worship 3. You Alone - Don Harris 4. Goodness Of God - Bethel Music Romans 8:37 - We will receive our breakthrough through Christ who loves us. “No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37 WEB) Luke 7:36 - Jesus was gracious even to the Pharisee by accepting the invitation to dine at his house. He honored and loved Simon the Pharisee, despite all the faults and hypocrisies of the Pharisees. “One of the Pharisees invited him to eat with him. He entered into the Pharisee’s house, and sat at the table.” (Luke 7:36 WEB) Luke 7:37-38 - The woman is believed to be a harlot. The flask of oil was very costly, about a year’s worth of wages. The woman ignored all the condemning looks and stares of all the self-righteous people around. She only wanted to focus on the one who loved and forgave her of her sins. The Jews considered the feet dirty because the feet come in contact with filth on the ground. The washing of feet was reserved as the lowest task for the lowliest servant. The woman expressed such extravagant love because she had first received such extravagant love through Jesus Christ. “Behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was reclining in the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster jar of ointment. Standing behind at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and she wiped them with the hair of her head, kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.” (Luke 7:37-38 WEB) Mark 1:7 - John the Baptist spoke so highly of the Lord Jesus. “He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.” (Mark 1:7 WEB) Luke 7:39-50 - Simon did not honored Jesus as a guest but the woman honored Jesus exceedingly. The Jews knew that only God can forgive sins. Jesus was implying that He is the God who forgives sins. “Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, “This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner.” Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” He said, “Teacher, say on.” “A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they couldn’t pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?” Simon answered, “He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most.” He said to him, “You have judged correctly.” Turning to the woman, he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, and you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head. You gave me no kiss, but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet. You didn’t anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” Those who sat at the table with him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”” (Luke 7:39-50 WEB) 6 February 2022 - Abounding Hope In The Resurrected Christ - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence LimNew Sermon Notes: God wants us to abound in hope and confidently expect great things from Him. We can be full of joy and peace even when we are still waiting for our breakthroughs because Jesus has been resurrected and we know that all our sins have been forgiven. The saving power of the Gospel is working in our lives as we keep on hearing it! Praise and Worship Song Performed: 1. Glory Honour Power - Influence Music 2. There Is None Like You 3. Glorious And Beautiful - New Creation Worship 4. I Give You My Heart - Hillsong Music Psalm 122:1 - David was glad just to hear words spoken about going to the house of God. During his time, the temple had not been built yet. Today, under the New Covenant going to the house of God is about attending a gathering of believers. “I was glad when they said to me, “Let’s go to Yahweh’s house!”” (Psalms 122:1 WEB) Matthew 18:20 - Christ is in our midst to provide, heal, and save when we are gathered in His name. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.”” (Matthew 18:20 WEB) Psalm 107:1 - We must believe that God is good. We can always expect great things from God. As we have received from Him, we can attempt great things for God. “Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.” (Psalms 107:1 WEB) Romans 15:13 - Our God is a God of hope. Even when the answer to your prayers has not arrived yet, you can still be full of all joy and peace in believing. God wants us to be overflowing with hope in every area of our lives. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13 WEB) 26 December 2021 - Praise Our Good God - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence Lim26/12/2021 26 December 2021 - Praise Our Good God - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence LimNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lawrence Lim taught about a unique phrase used to praise the Lord. Every time Israel used this phrase, good things happened for them and they were strengthened. Praise and Worship Song Performed: 1. How Great Is Our God - Michael W. Smith 2. You Alone I Praise - New Creation Worship 3. Blessed Assurance - Fanny Jane Crosby Prophetic word: You will only see an increase of favor, provision, health, etc. in your life. God is a God of increase. Your path will shine brighter and brighter in Jesus’ name. Psalm 33:1 - You look especially beautiful to God when you praise. “Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful.” (Psalms 33:1 NKJV) Psalm 147:1 - Your praises are pleasant to God. “Praise Yah, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to praise him.” (Psalms 147:1 WEB) Matthew 21:12-16 - When the house of God (the church) is a house of prayer, healing miracles will happen. Prayer does not make you fit for the greater work—prayer is the greater work. The chief priests and scribes were envious because the children were declaring that Jesus is the Messiah. “Jesus entered into the temple of God, and drove out all of those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers’ tables and the seats of those who sold the doves. He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers!” The blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them. But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children who were crying in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the son of David!” they were indignant, and said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” Jesus said to them, “Yes. Did you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing babies you have perfected praise?’”” (Matthew 21:12-16 WEB) Psalm 8:2 - This is the verse that Jesus quoted from. However, here it says “established strength” instead of “perfected praise”. Praise causes you to be strengthened. Whatever your challenge may be, just praise the Lord. Something good happens when you praise the Lord. When you praise Him, you will silence the enemy and the avenger. “From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.” (Psalms 8:2 WEB) 14 November 2021 - The Great End-Time Revival - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon NotesNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lawrence Lim taught about Amos’ prophecy about the great revival coming in the end times. A time of great prosperity for the body of Christ and abundant harvest of souls for God’s Kingdom is imminent! Praise and Worship Song Performed:
Our God does not only have love—He is love, and He keeps on loving you. Romans 8:31-32 - When you are in Christ, you are forgiven and God is for you, not against you. If God delivered up His Son for you, there is nothing good He will withhold from you. God wants to meet all your needs. “What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:31-32 WEB) Proverbs 17:22 - A merry heart is good for our health. “A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22 WEB) Isaiah 60:1-5 - The time for God’s people to shine is during a time of darkness on earth. There will be a great end-time revival. There is an end-time wealth transfer from the wicked to the righteous. ““Arise, shine; for your light has come, and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you. For, behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but Yahweh will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather themselves together. They come to you. Your sons will come from far away, and your daughters will be carried in arms. Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.” (Isaiah 60:1-5 WEB) We are not here to live for our own pleasures. We are here to serve the Lord, to live a life that glorifies Him. Amos 9:11-12 - This is a prophecy of an end-time revival that will happen. The Tabernacle (tent) of David is very different from the Tabernacle of Moses. The common people could not access the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle of Moses. Only the high priest could enter into the Holy of Holies once a year on the Day of Atonement. However, the Tabernacle of David has only one piece of furniture: the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark of the Covenant is a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is made of incorruptible wood, and covered with gold. This is a picture of divinity and humanity together in one. In the Tabernacle of David, everyone has access to the Ark of the Covenant. This represents the church age today where every believer has direct access to Jesus. “In that day I will raise up the tent of David who is fallen, and close up its breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old; that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations who are called by my name,” says Yahweh who does this.” (Amos 9:11-12 WEB) Acts 15:15-17 - The apostle James quoted the prophecy by Amos. “This agrees with the words of the prophets. As it is written, ‘After these things I will return. I will again build the tabernacle of David, which has fallen. I will again build its ruins. I will set it up, That the rest of men may seek after the Lord; all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who does all these things.” (Acts 15:15-17 WEB) Hebrews 4:16 - There is no more barrier between us and God. We can boldly go to His throne via prayer. “Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16 WEB) Amos 9:13 - The prophet Amos prophesied of a time where there is such a great, abundant, perpetual harvest. This harvest will be an end-time harvest of souls and also a time of great prosperity for the church. ““Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the one treading grapes him who sows seed; and sweet wine will drip from the mountains, and flow from the hills.” (Amos 9:13 WEB) |
