16 September 2018 - Surround your Problems to Possess your Inheritance - Pastor Lim Lian Neo Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed: (I missed other songs before this)
Joshua 6:2 - Giving into your hand is not the same as possessing something. Joshua had to go in to possess Jericho. “And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.” (Joshua 6:2 NKJV) Joshua 5:2 - Why is circumcision the key to possessing Jericho? To know, we must look at the first mention of circumcision. “At that time the LORD said to Joshua, “Make flint knives for yourself, and circumcise the sons of Israel again the second time.”” (Joshua 5:2 NKJV) Genesis 12:1-2, 4 - Abram at 75 years old was promised the land and a great nation. Just like Joshua, the land was given into his hand. “Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing... So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.” (Genesis 12:1-2, 4 NKJV) Genesis 17:9-11 - Abram was 99 years old here. Before Abram started to see the manifestation of the promises that God made to him when he was 75, God introduced the sign of circumcision. “And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised; and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you.” (Genesis 17:9-11 NKJV)

1 October 2017 - Secrets of Youth Renewal: A Tale of Two Old Men - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineGod’s supply of grace for you is always greater than the situation that you’re in. We can rely on the grace of God everyday to keep us in all our ways. When you believe in Jesus, your sins are forgiven and you remain as the righteousness of God in Him. God is not imputing sin to you today. He does not see your sin, only your righteousness. Christ is your righteousness. In 1967, Jerusalem was taken back by the nation of Israel after the Six Day War. The times of the Gentiles as mentioned by Jesus have been fulfilled and we are about to enter into a new Millenia. We become Christians not to suffer for Jesus but to enjoy His blessings. God swore by Himself (there is no one greater) that He will surely bless us. II Samuel 17:27-29 - The first old man in this sermon is Barzillai. Barzillai was a blessing in David’s time of need. “Now it happened, when David had come to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash from Rabbah of the people of Ammon, Machir the son of Ammiel from Lo Debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite from Rogelim, brought beds and basins, earthen vessels and wheat, barley and flour, parched grain and beans, lentils and parched seeds, honey and curds, sheep and cheese of the herd, for David and the people who were with him to eat. For they said, “The people are hungry and weary and thirsty in the wilderness.”” (II Samuel 17:27-29 NKJV) 18 December 2016 - Hearing the Word of God Produces Life - Pastor Mark Ng Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineChina is receiving the gospel. Believers in China have a heart to bring the gospel back to Jerusalem. Wherever the gospel goes, civilization is transformed. Jesus is our only Way out of our troubles. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Jesus' body was broken for us so that we may be whole. We partake of His body through the Holy Communion. It is possible to have right believing in one area of our life and wrong believing in another area. For example: A person can believe in healing but have the wrong mentality that God wants him/her to be poor. To rest doesn't mean doing nothing. To rest means to listen and feed on God's word. 4 December 2016 - Hearts Transformed by Love and Grace - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineOne of the most precious things that we are praying for is the salvation of our family members. The Lord will do a marvelous work for us in our lives. Great blessings await those who serve the Lord. There is a special honor for those who serve the Lord. Isaiah 9:6 - Our God is called "Wonderful" and "Counsellor". What we need is wisdom from Jesus. “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6 NKJV) In five days, God created the universe and everything in it, and He said that it was good. On the sixth day, God created man and He said it was very good! We are the crown of God's creation, and we take His breath away. Genesis 1:27-28 - The very first thing that God did after creating man is to bless him (without condition). His heart is to bless us. We have a good God. God's heart is to bless the family unit of man and the marriage of man. “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”” (Genesis 1:27-28 NKJV) 20 November 2016 - Trust God and Let It Go! - Pastor Ray Bevan Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineLuke 2:8 - Many pastors are shepherding their congregations without a full revelation of the gospel of grace. It's not good enough to preach grace a lot - pastors should be preaching grace ALONE. “Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.” (Luke 2:8 NKJV) God speaks to us while we're doing our normal day to day stuff. In the fight of life, when the devil knocks you down, Grace will keep on counting (without disqualifying you) until you get up and finish your cause. Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trusting God is sometimes so difficult because we are human. There is a battle going on for your trust - The Lord, versus your reasoning and your emotions. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV) 30 October 2016 - Thanksgiving: The Key to Receiving Multiplication and Increase - Pastor Lim Lian Neo Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineAcronyms: DEAR (Drop everything and rest) and DEAR (Jesus has done everything and restored). John 6:1-14 - Two hundred Denarii wasn't even enough to feed the multitudes a little. But when Jesus multiplied the loaves, they ate AS MUCH AS they wanted. This miracle is significant as all four gospels record this incident. Jesus showed Himself as the Bread of Life. Jesus is our Supply, our Source and our Everything. “After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He performed on those who were diseased. And Jesus went up on the mountain, and there He sat with His disciples. Now the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near. Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do. Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.” One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?” Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”” (John 6:1-14 NKJV) John 6:23 - John found it significant to repeat that Jesus had given thanks. If you need an increase and multiplication in your life, thanksgiving is the key to it! Thanksgiving is not a formula to earn blessings. It is a fruit produced from having a relationship with God. God loves to bless us because He loves us and when we give thanks, it gives Him great pleasure. “however, other boats came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate bread after the Lord had given thanks—” (John 6:23 NKJV) 9 October 2016 - Understanding the Four Gospels - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineWe freely receive healing from God, so don't put a price tag to it. Freely receive, freely give. People who are not freely giving are people who don't know that they have freely received. Praying in Jesus' name means seeing yourself as His beloved and seeing yourself as deeply loved by Him. Joseph Prince is not preaching the message of grace - He is preaching the gospel of grace! The gospel is the church's weapon! The faith that pleases God in the New Testament is seeing God as love and as Savior. Pontius Pilate was hoping that the people would choose to free Jesus, but they chose Barabbas the robber and murderer instead. Barabbas' name means "Son of the Father". The true Son of the Father, Jesus, was standing next to Barabbas. Jesus died so that we could also become sons and daughters of the Father. Judas delivered Jesus up to be arrested and he was a thief. Jesus said that "those who come before me are thieves and robbers". 21 August 2016 - Be a Spiritual Warfare Champion! - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineWhen you prepare to preach a sermon, the easy part is preparing the sermon. The difficult part is preparing your heart - you cannot preach while angry, bitter, etc. II Corinthians 10:3-5 - As Christians, we are engaged in spiritual warfare. Our adversary is the devil. The warfare is waged in our minds, through our thoughts. The devil wants to manipulate our thought-life. He wants to plant evil thoughts in our minds to drag us down. When you believe something internally, you will act on that belief and what is internal will be expressed externally. Our adversary is small. He (the Holy Spirit) who is in us is greater than he (the devil) who is in the world. II Corinthians 10:5 does not say "bring every thought into captivity to the obedience TO Christ". It says "obedience OF Christ". “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” (II Corinthians 10:3-5 NKJV) Romans 5:19 - The obedience of Christ refers to what Jesus has done for us at the cross. We are saved because of His obedience, not because of our obedience. “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” (Romans 5:19 NKJV) |
