Rev. Col Stringer has a new book: “From Stressed to Blessed”. Out of all the books he has published, "On Eagles Wings" is still his personal favorite. 

2 Timothy 3:1-2 - The word “grievous” is only used twice in the Bible. It means ragingly insane.
The other time is when Jesus was speaking to the Gaderene demoniac. 

“But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,” (2 Timothy 3:1-2 WEB)

We live in an self-obsessed world. Everything is about “I”. The solution to your problems isn't to go on vacation. When you go overseas, you still bring your biggest problem with you: yourself. 

It’s not just about what you eat but what eats you. Stress is a dangerous toxin in your life. 

Hebrews 4:1-3 - We all want to experience God’s rest.
Those who believe enter the rest of God.
What you believe in your heart will determine where you spend eternity. 
You have a choice of what you believe. God has set before us blessing and cursing. 
God simply wants us to believe. 

“Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest. For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard. For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest”; although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.” (Hebrews 4:1-3 WEB)

Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 
What we believe in our hearts will eventually come out in the words we speak. 

Smith Wigglesworth was a man of faith who shook the world. He even raised people from the dead. 
The only book he read in his life was the Bible. He didn’t even read the newspaper.
His secret was that he believed God’s word.
Once, he prayed for a man with a cancerous growth on his face and the tumor just dropped right off onto a plate. This man walked in faith and believed God's word!

If you don't like your life, change your heart!

​Mark 6:1-6 - Jesus did nothing wrong but they were offended at Him. 
Unbelief blocks the power of God from manifesting in our lives.
Rev. Col Stringer believes that signs and wonders are for unbelievers. Believers should just believe the word of God without needing proof first. 

“He went out from there. He came into his own country, and his disciples followed him. When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things?” and, “What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands? Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judah, and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” They were offended at him. Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house.” He could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people, and healed them. He marveled because of their unbelief. He went around the villages teaching.” (Mark 6:1-6 WEB)

Proverbs 23:7 - The language of the heart isn’t words - It’s images. The word of God gives us pictures to keep in our hearts. 
If you don’t like your circumstances, change the images in your heart. 

“for as he thinks about the cost, so he is. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.” (Proverbs 23:7 WEB)

Proverbs 4:20-22 - Worrying is the opposite of Meditation. 
Meditate on the word of God - it will be health to all your flesh. 
Let the word of God play all night even while you sleep. Your spirit doesn’t sleep. 

“My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body.” (Proverbs 4:20-22 WEB)

Joshua 1:8 - When you focus on the finished work of Jesus, you are changing the images in your heart and thereby changing your life.
The cross makes all the difference - We are complete in Jesus. 
We have to believe in Jesus first to experience the benefits of that salvation.

“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.” (Joshua 1:8 WEB)

You are already healed. You must receive a revelation of what has already been done for you at the cross.

Psalm 1:1-3 - It doesn’t say meditate 10 minutes a day. It’s day and night. Your health and provisions will prosper. 
Meditate on the finished work of Christ - it’s done. Jesus did it. 

“Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.” (Psalms 1:1-3 WEB)

Jews have a rite of passage from boyhood to manhood at 13 years old called “Bar Mitzvah”. It doesn’t matter whether other see him as a man. It only matters the way he sees himself.

Ephesians 1:15-19 - We need the spirit of wisdom and revelation. 

“For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints, don’t cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might” (Ephesians 1:15-19 WEB)

The greatest revelation you will ever have is knowing how much God loves you. 
Love is the greatest power in the universe - love never fails. 

I John 4:7- 8 - God doesn’t just have love. He is Love. John encourages us to press in deeper to the love of God. 
This passage is not to condemn us but to inspire us. 

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God. He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.” (1 John4:7-8 WEB)

Hebrews 4:3-12 - Words convey images into our hearts. If you don’t like your life, change your heart. 

“For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest”; although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, “God rested on the seventh day from all his works”; and in this place again, “They will not enter into my rest.” Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter therein, and they to whom the good news was before preached failed to enter in because of disobedience, he again defines a certain day, today, saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.” For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day. There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his. Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:3-12 WEB)
