23 November 2014 - The Holy Communion Brings Life In Your Darkest Hour - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online  - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

When we pray, God takes His place as a Giver, and we take our place as a receiver.

It took a greater Adam to get back the authority that Adam lost. Jesus has taken back all authority and power that the devil stole.

The devil uses our own power and authority against us through his lies.

People should not be tithing out of obligation or fear. People should tithe out of revelation.

Hebrews 7:1-2 - Melchizedek typifies Christ. When the Holy Spirit translates names in the Bible, He is saying "don't miss the significance of this!".
Melchizedek is first king of righteousness, then king of peace.
Melchizedek is the One who best understands righteousness and can give righteousness.
"Peace" is "Shalom" in Hebrew which means wholeness, completeness and payment.
Righteousness leads to peace (Shalom).

"For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham as he was returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham apportioned a tenth part of all the spoils, was first of all, by the translation of his name, king of righteousness, and then also king of Salem, which is king of peace." (Hebrews 7:1, 2 NASB)

Isaiah 32:17 - Righteousness must come first before receiving peace. There must be the payment for us to receive righteousness and to experience shalom (wholeness,  completeness, payment).
Shalom has been paid and purchased by Jesus for you and your family.

"And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever." (Isaiah 32:17 NASB)

Focus on declaring and believing that you are the "Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus" - just seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.

Pastor Prince said that this message can mean the difference between life and death. He is not joking!

Proclaim Jesus' Death and Resurrection and Ignore the Devil

Genesis 14:14-23 - Abram is a warrior. It took only him and his trained servants to defeat four kings and their armies. It could only be God who gave them the victory.
The king of Sodom (his name means "evil") represents the devil. The devil often goes out to immediately meet you after a great victory. This is called a counterattack.
Many people forget to pray after a great victory. Drop down on your knees and give God all the praise and glory. It's for your sake, not for Him.
Melchizedek (typifying Christ) comes to meet us in our darkest time.
God wants to remind us that in our darkest moment, don't forget to partake of the Holy Communion.

When you partake of Holy Communion, you proclaim Jesus's death. When you tithe, you declare that He lives.
Usually people bring things to the king, but Melchizedek brought bread and wine (health). In response, Abram comes with the tithe (wealth).
The first words that comes out from Melchizedek's mouth is blessing, just like our Lord Jesus' ministry.

When you partake of Holy Communion, be mindful of God's favors in your life - don't take it legalistically or as if it is magic.
Our blessings are because of God's favor. It is God who gives us the ability to get wealth, not our our works.
There are many people who work much harder than us and see no results.
The devil has no qualms about you becoming rich - use money to love people, don't use people to love money.

When you spend time with Jesus, the devil comes in too late to tempt us.
When you tithe you are raising your hand to the Lord. There is a transaction going on.
God puts words in our mouths to reply to our foes.
Abram knew that he would become rich from his meeting with Melchizedek, and he didn't want the king of Sodom to take the credit for it.
The word "rich" is "aser" in Hebrew. The word "tithe" is "maaser" in Hebrew. The rich is in the tithe!
Don't negotiate or make any bargains with the devil.
Melchizedek did not even address the issue brought up by the King of Sodom.

You don't have to address every issue from the enemy. Ignoring is the greatest resistance you can put up against the enemy.
How is wine made? By crushing grapes, and then leaven (which represents sin) turns grape juice into wine.
Where is the leaven from? It is from us - our sins.
When Jesus' blood (grape juice from crushing) mixed with our sins (leaven), washing them away, it became wine.
Bread and wine is made from being pounded and crushed. Jesus endured the pounding and crushing so that He could be the Bread of life and provide salvation through His blood.

"When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he led out his trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and went in pursuit as far as Dan. He divided his forces against them by night, he and his servants, and defeated them, and pursued them as far as Hobah, which is north of Damascus. He brought back all the goods, and also brought back his relative Lot with his possessions, and also the women, and the people. Then after his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King's Valley). And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; now he was a priest of God Most High. He blessed him and said, "Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand." He gave him a tenth of all. The king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give the people to me and take the goods for yourself." Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have sworn to the LORD God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth, that I will not take a thread or a sandal thong or anything that is yours, for fear you would say, 'I have made Abram rich.'" (Genesis 14:14-23 NASB)

2 Samuel 18:18 - Absalom betrayed his own father, King David.
Shared by Pastor Joseph Prince: Absalom's Monument is used by many Jewish parents to show their children the tragic ending of rebellion against parents.
Jewish children pick up stones to throw at the pillar.
It is also situated in the King's Valley where Melchizedek went to meet Abram.

"Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and set up for himself a pillar which is in the King's Valley, for he said, "I have no son to preserve my name." So he named the pillar after his own name, and it is called Absalom's Monument to this day." (2 Samuel 18:18 NASB)

John 18:1 - Jesus was agonised to the point of sweating great teardrops of blood in the Garden of Gethsemane located near the ravine of the Kidron.
Melchizedek met Abram in the ravine of Kidron as well. This place represents the darkest moment of one's life.

"When Jesus had spoken these words, He went forth with His disciples over the ravine of the Kidron, where there was a garden, in which He entered with His disciples." (John 18:1 NASB)

Sandcastles Don't Last Forever

$14.99 $9.99

This is the eBook version.

If you prefer to get the Paperback version (physical copy), you can get it on Amazon here for US$15.

About the Book:

One day when I was singing praises to God, an image floated up in my spirit: a big and beautiful sandcastle being washed away by the waves from the sea. God was teaching me the futility of holding tightly onto worldly possessions because like the sandcastle, they won't last, and one day will cease to exist.

He taught me from His word to focus on Him and by doing so, I would reap great eternal rewards before Jesus' throne at the start of the Millennium. These rewards will last forever and can't be destroyed or stolen.

It is my prayer that the revelations in this book will help you to live with a focus on the things above where God is, fulfill your God-given calling in life, be happier and to accumulate more eternal rewards to your account.

In this Book, you will learn about:

- Heavenly investment advice and the futility of worldly pursuits from a trillionaire in the Bible

- Why God has to reward us in order to be righteous

- When and how God will destroy the current earth and sky to make way for new ones

- The types of fireproof works that earn eternal rewards at the end of time

- The abundant rewards of doing good works while abiding by the non-disclosure agreement between God and you

- The difference between the temporary places of torment: Sheol and Abaddon

- Who is the Antichrist and his name revealed in the Bible

- What is the Mark of the Beast and why it disqualifies its recipients from receiving salvation

- The different judgments at the throne of Jesus Christ and what it means for you as a believer

- How to fulfill your calling and maximize your gifts to receive the best eternal rewards

Testimonials about the contents of this book:

"Sandcastles Don't Last Forever is very well written, its message loud and clear. Milton Goh gives common-sense insight on often confusing Scripture, which is much appreciated in these troubled times. My understanding of the Bible has definitely improved."

- Mike Garrett, first Editor/ Publisher for Stephen King and Author of Christian Novel "Innocence Denied", from USA

"This book is absolutely breathtaking. We don't work to be saved but were created to do good works. I am so energized and excited to know God values our works and we will be rewarded. This is all Glory to Jesus... I cant wait to throw my crowns at his feet and thank him for saving my life!" - Evangelist Michael Clark from USA

"Dear Milton Goh, I truly thank our Abba, Father for the revelations in this book. It is so amazing how I begin to discover important verses in the Bible that I have never read. That instead of following riches, with sleepless nights, and actually shortening our lives, we are just to 'Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ', and 'Love one another'. How beautiful to find out that actually in the Bible there is both 'Earthly or Worldly Investment Wisdom' and 'Eternal Investment Wisdom' according to the revelations here from Ecclesiastes 5:14-17 WEB)!; “It seems like Solomon was not only wise at earning material riches but also at earning eternal riches.” All the glory to our Lord Jesus Christ! God bless you Milton Goh for such a wonderful book!" - Nitta Nierra from Belgium

“Thank you Milton. I have just finished reading “Sandcastles Don’t Last Forever”. It’s such a good book that's filled with God's word. I love it very much. Might read again if I have the time. Thanks so much!” - Mally Chai from Singapore

"I'm reading this book and loving it! The revelations of the Gospel truth shared and it's life applications are absolutely amazing! I give glory to the Lord Jesus for my dear brother Milton for this exceptional resource. I'm gonna keep feeding on its contents and believe God for supernatural breakthroughs as my mind is renewed in Christ!" - Terence from Tombel, Cameroon

“Excellent book!! I enjoyed reading it so much and definitely recommend it! Milton is so gifted and all his teachings have blessed me tremendously! I thank God for people like him. Get this book, it will be worth it!” - Madeleine from SA, “Unmerited Favor” tier patron

Partaking of Holy Communion in a Worthy Manner

John 6:51 - The life that Jesus talks about here is not eternal life, but it is wholeness and health.
When we partake of Holy Communion, we receive this life into us.
"Eats" is "trogo" in Greek which means crunching the bread of communion.
"Abides in Me, and I in him" here means the manifestation of life and health in the believer in the most practical way - good health.

"I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.... For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. (John 6:51, 6:55-56 NASB)

Mark 11:24 - This is true, but for those who feel pressured that they don't have enough faith, thank God that He gave us different ways to receive His blessings and healing.
We can receive healing through partaking of Holy Communion as well.

"Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you." (Mark 11:24 NASB)

If medicine was prescribed to you, please take it, concurrently with communion. Don't disregard medicine.
Your medicine is made even more effective when you partake of Holy Communion.
Doctors and medicine are gifts from God too.

You don't need to take communion with a pastor present - That's just tradition.
Jesus said "Do this in remembrance of me" with regards to taking communion.

Acts 20:7-9 - In Acts 20, it says that the believers came together to break bread and didn't say that they came to hear Paul! Paul was the guest speaker.
Eutychus (his name means "good fortune") fell from the third floor and died.
The church is now fellowshipping spiritually in the third heaven because of what Jesus did.
Good fortune fell from the third heaven. The younger generation represented by Eutychus needs to be embraced by the Pauline revelation.

"On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul began talking to them, intending to leave the next day, and he prolonged his message until midnight. There were many lamps in the upper room where we were gathered together. And there was a young man named Eutychus sitting on the window sill, sinking into a deep sleep; and as Paul kept on talking, he was overcome by sleep and fell down from the third floor and was picked up dead." (Acts 20:7-9 NASB)

Acts 20:11-12 - Despite the dramatic events that unfolded with Eutychus's death and resurrection, the service continued.
No compromise was made despite the difficulties, and they partook of Holy Communion.

Holy Communion is not just a ritual, it is a priority.

"When he had gone back up and had broken the bread and eaten, he talked with them a long while until daybreak, and then left. They took away the boy alive, and were greatly comforted." (Acts 20:11-12 NASB)

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 - We can partake of Holy Communion as often as we want to.
How often do we remember the Lord? When we proclaim the Lord's death, our enemies are defeated.

"For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me." In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes." (1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NASB)

Matthew 26:27-28 - When we partake of Holy Communion, we must be conscious of the remission of our sins and mindful of Jesus instead of being conscious of our lack. That is partaking worthily.

"And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins." (Matthew 26:27-28 NASB)

1 Corinthians 11:29-30 - We must judge the bread and wine rightly and know the difference.
The bread is for healing and wholeness while the wine is a reminder and proclamation of the forgiveness of all our sins.

"For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep." (1 Corinthians 11:29, 30 NASB)

1 Corinthians 10:16-18 - We are partaking of the benefits of the blood of Christ when we partake of Holy Communion - we are in fellowship with Jesus.
We are partaking in the body of Jesus, not of each other.

"Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ? Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread. Look at the nation Israel; are not those who eat the sacrifices sharers in the altar?" (1 Corinthians 10:16-18 NASB)

Pastor Joseph Prince says that NASB and AMP are good Bible versions.
