16 December 2018 - How to Quickly Receive your Breakthrough - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Mark Ng Sermon Notes

This is a simple three-point sermon.

1) Know that Jesus has done it all.

We cannot base on outward appearances when we invite friends to church. We don’t know what they’re going through inside.

Focusing on your problems causes a lot of problems in your body.

Jesus who had no sin became sin for us. We took His place of blessing and He took our place of cursing.

Hell is a real place.

Matthew 25:31-46 - This describes the Final Judgment.
Grace is all about what God has done for us.
Under the new covenant of Grace, our part is to believe in Jesus.
The righteous are not conscious of their good works because they are focused on Jesus.
Unbelievers also do good deeds, but their own righteousness is like dirty rags before God.
We are saved for all eternity. This security gives us confidence in Christ.
When you walk with the Lord, He will not just bring you to the place of break-even. He will lead you to a place of no lack.
Jesus clothes us with white robes of righteousness so that we can enter into the presence of the King.
Focus on the Lord. He is your deliverance and the Source of your help.
Most of us take care of our bodily hygiene, but how many of us take care of our mental hygiene?
Many of our minds are cluttered with wrong believing.
As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

““But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’ “The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’ “Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’ “Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’ These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”” (Matthew 25:31-46 WEB)

Ephesians 2:5-6 - We are seated with Christ.

“even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” (Ephesians 2:5-6 WEB)

Colossians 3:1 - We are seated with Jesus at the right hand of God.

“If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.” (Colossians 3:1 WEB)

When you walk with the Lord, He will not just bring you to the place of break-even. He will lead you to a place of no lack.

2) Fix your eyes on Jesus as your righteousness.

Fish can swim in the deep sea without being crushed by the high pressure of the depths because their internal pressure is greater than the outer pressure.
All Scripture is God-breathed. We need to breathe the word of God - doing this builds our inner man and makes us resistant to the trials of life.

Fix your eyes on Jesus as your righteousness and all the things you need will be added to you.
Jesus told us to seek first the kingdom of God and HIS righteousness, not your righteousness.

If you want the power of God, it is through believing the Gospel - What Jesus has done for you.
In the Gospel, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith. It’s about believing, not doing.

It’s not about knowing Grace, it’s about living Grace.

To be righteous, it’s all about believing in Jesus, not about your good works.
When you believe in Jesus, you will inherit all the blessings of God.

If you want to reign in life, your part is to humble yourself and keep receiving the abundance of Grace and the gift of righteousness in Christ Jesus.

Sin will not have dominion over you because you are not under the Law, but under Grace.

We are dead to the Law to be married to Jesus. We are joined in Spirit.
We bear fruit to God when we enjoy Jesus as our Husband.

When you keep turning to Jesus, you will become mentally brighter and brighter because Jesus is your Wisdom.

Israel is not special in and of itself - it is special because it is chosen by God.

Romans 12:1-2 - Put aside your self-efforts and rest in Jesus as your righteousness.

“Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:1-2 WEB)

Parents, you need to rest in the Lord and hold on to His promises. Believe that the seed of the righteous are blessed.

The world will get darker and more morally depraved, but believers will shine brighter and brighter.
2019 is going to be brighter than 2018.

Your economy is in heaven. God is going to supply you - the world is not your provider.

We are just passing through this world. Heaven is our home.

As Pastor Prince prophesied, 2019 is going to bring an abundant rain of favor, peace and family blessings for you.

The pain you’re feeling because of the sickness in your body is not the truth.
The word of God is the truth - by His stripes, you are already healed.

A prophetic word: for those who regularly eat junk food at night and keep ordering products online, they’re actually under stress. They’re trying to find comfort in those things.

You are a new creation in Christ. How new of a creation are you? As Jesus is, so are you in this world.

If you’re facing emotional turmoil, be like Solomon who said he is like a child not knowing how to go in or come out. Humble yourself before God and He will deliver you.

Why did the children of Israel stay in slavery in Egypt for 400 years?
It’s because they were strong in themselves and thought they could handle the pain themselves.
It’s when they let go and cried out to the Lord that He saved them.

3) Receive Grace and be Grateful

II Corinthians 10:5 - Bring all your thoughts to the obedience of Christ - to Jesus as your righteousness.

“throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ;” (2 Corinthians10:5 WEB)

The greatest detox is not of your body but of your mind.

When Peter took his eyes off Jesus, he began to sink. However, Jesus never took His eyes off Peter.
Jesus is your perfect calm and Savior amidst the storm.

In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus was on a high mountain and looking at His disciples struggling in the storm.
It represents Jesus in heaven looking at us who are going through our trials on earth.
The three P’s: Priest, Providence, Presence.
In heaven, Jesus acts as our Priest with praying lips.
On earth, Jesus acts as the saving hand, the Providence that’s with us - Emmanuel, God with us.
We will experience the Presence of Jesus at the Rapture when He comes down from heaven, gives us perfect calm and brings us to heaven.

A person under Grace is always in a receiving mode. A happy person is not necessarily a grateful person.
A grateful person is sure to be a happy person.

Don’t pursue happiness. Pursue Jesus. When you seek Jesus, you will be grateful and the fruit of that is happiness.

Romans 1:20-21 - God created heaven and earth but His creation (mankind) did not acknowledge Him.

“For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse. Because, knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, neither gave thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.” (Romans 1:20-21 WEB)

Complaining makes you remain in your trouble.
Learn to give thanks for the little that you have and God will multiply blessings back to you.

Don’t think that you already know. When you humble yourself, God can give you much more.
Familiarity is our biggest enemy. Knowing is not enough - is your life changed?
When you declare to God that you don’t know, He will fill your cup.

To find bad things to say about others is very easy, but to say good things is by Grace.

Praise and worship ploughs your heart so that it is ready to receive the word of God that will be preached.
