18 July 2018 - Encounter Night: If God is for You, What can be Against You - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

Praise and Worship songs performed:
  1. Reckless Love - Caleb Culver
  2. Yes Jesus Loves Me
  3. Defender - John-Paul Gentile

Psalms 116:12-13 - The best way to thank God for His benefits to you is to take some more from Him. He sees that as a thank-you.

“What shall I render to the LORD For all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of the LORD.” (Psalms 116:12-13 NKJV)

Pastor Prince spoke prophetically that there’s a “turnaround” coming in your life - your finances, health, relationships, etc!

This is a service of receiving. “Dead spots” in your life will come alive again (examples: parts of your body because of aging, your memory)
The Holy Spirit who quickens the dead will do it.
When God restores, it’s never the same like it was before - it will be even better. Your memory will be even better than before!

There is a grace revolution happening all around the world.
The revelations and word being taught from this church are being repeated in other ministries worldwide.
When hearing it from other ministries, remember that you first heard it from the "authorized dealer" (Pastor Prince).

The Bible says that we are transformed by beholding Jesus.
We become like Him not by working or laboring, but by beholding Him.

Teaching about Jesus is practical because the revelation of Him will overflow to other areas in your life.
For example, the Bible says husbands love your wives like how Jesus loves the church.
Having the revelation of the love of Christ in your heart will lead to you showing love to your spouse.

The Bible says that we are risen with Christ, so we should act like the precious gold that we are. Not by acting 'high and mighty' or being arrogant, but by exuding the dignity of Christ - we are set apart from the world.
Stones are common, but precious gems and metals like gold and diamonds are rare and valuable.

You can never lose your salvation - don't listen to Saul-ish vial-mentality sermons

Romans 8:28-29 - The Greek word for “know” is “eido” which means to see it on the inside. It's not just knowing in your mind, but knowing it in your heart.
God will work ALL things that the devil throws at you, for your good.
This promise is for believers, not for the people of the world.
Everything is happening not to make you more rich or famous. If you think that way, you're missing the point.
Everything is working together to make you more like Jesus.
Jesus never lacked when He needed something. When He needed tax money, He received it. When He needed food, it was multiplied for Him.
God wants you abundantly supplied. Prosperity doesn’t mean having a lot of money in your bank account.
It means God supplying you whenever you have a need.
Jesus is tender but not soft. He is loving but not indulging.
When something bad happens in your life, remember that God is on your side. God is not the Source of your problems.
Stop thinking “What did I do to cause this to happen?”. That’s legalism. God is no longer holding you responsible for your sins. Jesus already paid for all your sins at the cross.
If you are living in habitual sin, God won’t let accidents or sicknesses happen to you but He may make things difficult for you.
He let Jacob meet someone (his father-in-law Laban) who deceived him, because Jacob first deceived his father Isaac.
God doesn’t discipline you with sickness or accidents. But He will shake your world and make you frustrated.
This is because He loves you and is disciplining you for your profit and you will live if you receive His discipline.
If a believer has an addiction to smoking, he or she will still go to heaven, but faster.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” (Romans 8:28-29 NKJV)

John 10:28-29 - The word “never” in Hebrew is “umei” which is a double negative.
It is a strong assurance that you can never lose your salvation.
You can’t jump out of the Father’s hand. You are safe for eternity in-between Jesus’ and the Father’s hands - a divine sandwich.

“And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.” (John 10:28-29 NKJV)

A person can taste and yet never partake. He or she may experience the goodness of God in a service and witness miracles being performed but still never believe in Jesus.
That person will depart from the experience into a deeper darkness than before because he or she has received a revelation of Jesus and yet did not believe.

Some exorcists cast out demons not by Jesus’ name.
The demons may leave temporarily but they will enter again with seven other demons - bigger problems for the victim.
Then on the last day, these exorcists will claim to have performed miracles in God’s name.
But Jesus will say, “I never knew you”. Never means never.
It doesn’t mean blotting out one’s name from the Book of Life - for that to happen, it means that Jesus had to know that person before.

John 6:39-40 - To believe in Jesus is to do the will of the Father.

“This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”” (John 6:39-40 NKJV)

Romans 3:26 - God the Father is your Justifier. He sent Jesus to die for us so that there is a righteous basis for our justification.
Jesus’ death fulfilled all the requirements of the Law.

"to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." (Romans 3:26 NKJV)

Romans 8:33 - God is not stern with us. He is our Justifier. Here it says God, not Jesus.

“Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.” (Romans 8:33 NKJV)

The Judgment (Bema) Seat of Christ is not for us to be punished but for us to receive eternal rewards for the good works that we have done during our lifetime.
We will be standing there in our new glorified bodies. The Judge (Jesus) is our righteousness.

We will not be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment. That’s for unbelievers.

All of us who attend Encounter Night are leaders. We want to feed on revelation because we have seen the light of the Lord.
Not everyone is called to be leaders.

I Samuel 16:1 - The children of Israel wanted a human king to rule over them like the other Gentile nations.
They chose Saul who was head and shoulders taller than other men in Israel to be their king.
The prophet Samuel anointed Saul with a vial of oil.
Vial is a picture of God’s judgment. You can see vials of judgment in the Book of Revelation.
David, who was God’s choice to be king, was anointed with a horn of oil.
A ram’s horn which is sounded represents proclaiming the death of our Lord. It is a picture of grace.
Oil is usually poured on the head and it will flow down.
Saul has a vial mentality - of judgment and the wrath of God - like God is angry.
If you listen to a Saul-ish sermon, you’ll walk away feeling like God is angry with you.
God providing Himself a king reminds us of Abraham saying to Isaac on Mount Moriah that God will provide Himself a lamb.

“Now the LORD said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.”” (I Samuel 16:1 NKJV)

When listening to a sermon, don’t look out for something to criticize. Just enjoy it.
If you’re hungry, you’ll eat everything instead of caring about the arrangement. Don't be that person who looks for the speck of dirt on a clean whiteboard.

I Samuel 9:3 - When we’re first introduced to Saul, he was busy chasing the fleshly things - wild donkeys.

“Now the donkeys of Kish, Saul’s father, were lost. And Kish said to his son Saul, “Please take one of the servants with you, and arise, go and look for the donkeys.”” (I Samuel 9:3 NKJV)

I Samuel 16:11 - When we’re first introduced to David, he was tending the sheep.
If you’re called to preach, be faithful to the few that God has given to you now. Don’t complain as if it's beneath you and that you're meant to be preaching to thousands.
There are many John's and Mary's in the Bible, but only one David. This is because David presents many pictures of Jesus.

“And Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all the young men here?” Then he said, “There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep.” And Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him. For we will not sit down till he comes here.”” (I Samuel16:11 NKJV)

I Samuel 17:28 - Eliab revealed his heart when he said “those few sheep”.
If you are pastoring or a leader over a few believers, that’s still the Father’s flock.

“Now Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab’s anger was aroused against David, and he said, “Why did you come down here? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the insolence of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.”” (I Samuel 17:28 NKJV)

I Samuel 17:34 - You are the Father’s sheep. It is the Father’s responsibility and not the pastor’s, to heal you. The Father will take care of His sheep.

“But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock,” (I Samuel 17:34 NKJV)

The Four Expanses of the Heavens Revealed written by Milton Goh

God chooses faithful people to promote as leaders, and He is for you!

God does not choose leaders who are very good or talented. He chooses faithful people. God can always impart the gifts as the person continues to trust Him.

Moses was mighty and gifted in speech during the first forty years of his life and God couldn’t use him.
But when Moses met God at the burning bush, he said that he was slow of speech, and God could use him to part the Red Sea and bury all the enemies of Israel.
One is the ministry of the flesh and one is the ministry of the Spirit.

"And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and deeds. “Now when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren, the children of Israel. And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended and avenged him who was oppressed, and struck down the Egyptian." (Acts 7:22-24 NKJV)

You can tell when a person is anointed by God. A non-believer singer or speaker will leave you feeling like “wow what a singer/speaker”.
A believer singer or speaker will leave you feeling like “wow what a God!”.

I Samuel 14:52 - Saul was out looking for talented people to recruit.

“Now there was fierce war with the Philistines all the days of Saul. And when Saul saw any strong man or any valiant man, he took him for himself.” (I Samuel 14:52 NKJV)

I Samuel 22:1-2 - David recruited and welcomed all the broken people. These people became David’s mighty men later on.
They were his '3D army' - distressed, in debt and discontented.

“David therefore departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. So when his brothers and all his father’s house heard it, they went down there to him. And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him. So he became captain over them. And there were about four hundred men with him.” (I Samuel 22:1-2 NKJV)

II Samuel 23:8-10 - It doesn’t matter even if your father’s name is Dodo. God can still use you mightily.
May your hand be stuck to the Bible too.

“These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-Basshebeth the Tachmonite, chief among the captains. He was called Adino the Eznite, because he had killed eight hundred men at one time. And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines who were gathered there for battle, and the men of Israel had retreated. He arose and attacked the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand stuck to the sword. The LORD brought about a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to plunder.” (II Samuel 23:8-10 NKJV)

II Samuel 23:20 - It’s extremely difficult to kill a lion. To make it more difficult, it was in a pit where he couldn’t escape.
To add to the difficulty, it was on a snowy day!

“Benaiah was the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man from Kabzeel, who had done many deeds. He had killed two lion-like heroes of Moab. He also had gone down and killed a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day.” (II Samuel 23:20 NKJV)

I Samuel 13:7 - In the presence of Saul, strong men became weak. In the presence of David, weak men became strong.

“And some of the Hebrews crossed over the Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was still in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.” (I Samuel13:7 NKJV)

Romans 8:31 - The word “who” is “tis” in Greek which is more frequently translated to "what" than "who" in the Bible.
If God is for you, what can be against you?
A situation is either going to turn around or God is working something together for your good.
Say: God is for me.
Don’t judge others. Know for yourself that God is for you.
It doesn’t mean that the devil won’t try to attack you, but he cannot succeed because God is for you.

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”(Romans 8:31 NKJV)

If a believer died in an accident, he didn’t learn from God’s disciplining. He will wake up in heaven, but he didn’t learn.
God disciplines us so that we can live.

It’s getting more popular not to talk about the return of Jesus. We’re definitely in the end times. He is coming back soon!

These sermon notes are independently-compiled by me, and I'm just a loyal and regular attendee of the the church's Sunday services, and I feel led to take detailed personal sermon notes of Pastor Prince's anointed messages to share them with the world, which desperately needs the true word of God and the original gospel of grace.
