29 January 2017 - The Secret to a Prosperous Life - Pastor Mark Ng Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Chinese New Year Sermon Notes OnlineWhat you are listening to is very important. It is a death or life matter! 5 C's of a mum on Chinese New Year: 1) Choose - groceries at the supermarket 2) Cook - food 3) Clean - the house 4) Connect - the relatives 5) Control - her tongue. Do not say die, only say live. She wants her family to have health and prosperity. The end in mind is for her family to sit, rest and feed. Similarly, God wants us to rest and He wants to provide us with everything that we need. God asked Adam "Where are you?" in the Garden of Eden, not the other way round. God loves us, and He is love. 2 Corinthians 5:18-21 - The reunion is started from God. He wants us to be reconciled with Him. God wants us to come back to His house because in His house there is food. Ask yourself everyday: Am I resting? If you're not resting in the grace zone, you are not understanding God's love for you. It is God who provides for you. Don't worry about tomorrow. Once you are rested, your blood pressure and your cells will all be rested - that comes through listening to the word of God. “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (II Corinthians 5:18-21 NKJV)  The reunion is started from God. But resting in God's love and knowing God's heart ushers in all His blessings. You can't be happy and rested until you have an encounter with Jesus. You must have inner rest before you can manifest the outer rest. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (III John 1:2 NKJV) John 6:35 - God is opening a wide door. He is the One who initiates this reunion. Come to Jesus, He is your Provider. “And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35 NKJV) Psalm 23:1-6 - God wants to provide for you and this is His way: Allow Him to be your Good Shepherd. The greatest need in the body of Christ is to rest and feed. God restores our sanity, so that we can be totally free from worry. God did not withhold His Son and He did not withhold our sins. Jesus is the Lily of the valley. In your darkest moments, He still gives off His fragrance and tells you that He loves you. Only when you understand grace, then can you extend grace to others. The table that God prepares for us is always a table of grace. It is not a table of condemnation. Despite all the demands in life placed upon us, we can still come together to say grace at the table before a meal. Holy Communion is important so that we will not be weak, sick or sleeping (the version of death for a believer). God is conscious of us, so let us be conscious of Him. Surely goodness and mercy will follow you all 365 days this year! “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.” (Psalms 23:1-6 NKJV) I Thessalonians 5:12 - Some people think that we are idolising Pastor Prince - Don't insult our intelligence. We know who is Jesus and who is Pastor Prince. We are called to love Jesus and to honor our Pastors that we have been blessed with. Under grace you will always be grateful. “And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,” (I Thessalonians 5:12 NKJV) Revelation 4:3 - God's Throne is glowing with emerald green. The color of the New Covenant of Grace is green. There is no more anger. “And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.” (Revelation 4:3 NKJV) Hebrews 8:12 - What is the crux of the New Covenant? It is this! “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”” (Hebrews 8:12 NKJV)  God's Throne is glowing with emerald green. The color of the New Covenant of Grace is green. There is no more anger. Psalm 46:10 - You are not God, so don't try to be God! “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalms 46:10 NKJV) I Corinthians 15:34 - Righteousness is not right doing. Righteousness is a gift. When you awake to righteousness, you will know that you are blessed and not cursed. That's how you attract prosperity. “Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.” (I Corinthians 15:34 NKJV) God already knows ahead of time that we would fail and sin, but He still chose us. The cross exists outside of time. That's why Jesus can take all our sins upon Himself. To fall out of sin is to fall in love with God. It is not about us convincing God of our love for Him, but it is through the cross that we can be convinced of His love for us. Luke 12:32 - Let us not stress our family and relatives during Chinese New Year. Don't ask when is that relative getting married. Don't ask that relative when will they have a baby. Giving out Ang paos (red packets) should not come with conditions. It should be a gift. Let us extend grace. ““Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32 NKJV) Romans 4:3-5 - 人算不如天算。No matter how well we count, it doesn't matter. It's how God counts us that matters. God counts us as righteous! “For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,” (Romans 4:3-5 NKJV) Romans 4:13 - Why is the devil coming so hard against the righteousness of faith? It is to do with your heirship and inheritance - your health and prosperity and more. You don't have to do anything - it is given to you. It sounds too good to be true, but it's true! That's why it's called the Gospel! “For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.” (Romans 4:13 NKJV)  Let us not stress our family and relatives during Chinese New Year. Don't ask when is that relative getting married. Don't ask that relative when will they have a baby. Giving out Ang paos (red packets) should not come with conditions. It should be a gift. Let us extend grace.
