The church must be "Spirit Contemporary" - spiritually alive and contemporarily relevant, if not it will always struggle. Believers must learn to not be weird when ministering to others. Example: Walking up to someone and saying "The Lord told me to come and speak with you. Everyone step aside, this person is gonna get healed!" Be cool - there's enough weird people out there already and being weird is not a giving a good testimony of the Lord. The Bible doesn't say that the Holy Spirit is a Dove. It says that He moved at that time LIKE a dove. We need to see the power of God in the world more than in a church service. God has designed you and the Holy Spirit within you to move in the miraculous without a worship team, congregation, pastor, etc. John 16:13 - The power of the Holy Spirit is always inside you. It never leaves. The power of the Holy Spirit is not just for the church platform. It works everywhere you go. The Holy Spirit helps us to be good parents. He wants to help everyone of us and in every area of our lives. The Holy Spirit will also show you what happens in the future and what to avoid. Learn to sense and know when the Holy Spirit speaks to you. We must be aware that God wants to flow through us to help others. “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” (John 16:13 NKJV) The Holy Spirit will never say NO regarding allowing the gifts of the Holy Spirit to flow. Why would He say no? But He will decide what gifts will flow upon who, when and how. When the Bible talks about witnesses, it's saying: Which area has God's power worked in your life? Share your story of what God has done for you.  The Bible doesn't say that the Holy Spirit is a Dove. It says that He moved at that time LIKE a dove. The presence of God is not stronger in a pastor than in a regular believer. In the Old Testament, the anointing was upon prophets and priests, but in the New Testament, it is upon all believers. Where you are and where you work there are people who need the Lord - inside they're dying and wanting to take their lives. You don't have to be a pastor before God can use you. The pastor is like a coach. Their role is to equip the saints for ministry. The presence of God is attached to the words that we speak. As a believer, your sins cannot get into your spirit because your spirit is already sealed with the Holy Spirit. When you pray it is not just psychological help. The power of God flows from your re-created spirit.  Where you are and where you work there are people who need the Lord - inside they're dying and wanting to take their lives. I Corinthians 12:1 - In the original, the word "gifts" is not there. We are not to be ignorant about spiritual things. “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware.” (1 Corinthians 12:1 NASB) I Corinthians 14:1 - Don't pursue the gifts. Pursue love. "Earnestly" means to have a passion for. “Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.” (1 Corinthians 14:1 NASB) I Corinthians 12:31 - The best gifts means the best gifts for a particular situation. Example: If healing isn't needed, then the gifts of healings is not the best gift for that situation. Maybe the gift of working of miracles is needed instead. “But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.” (I Corinthians 12:31 NKJV) The Christian life should be so exciting! We should wake up in the morning and be excited about what the Lord is going to do through us that day. Wake up in the morning and tell God "God I earnestly desire to help people today". God's voice speaks from within your belly. The language of the Holy Spirit is not emotion. It is faith - simply believing. The Bible teaches two things regarding healing: 1) The instantaneous miracle, 2) The recovery (which takes time).  The Christian life should be so exciting! We should wake up in the morning and be excited about what the Lord is going to do through us that day. Wake up in the morning and tell God "God I earnestly desire to help people today".
