The whole world is burning up and burning out. Depressing bad new is reported on new channels. Stress and helplessness are at high levels.

Luke 21:25-28 - God knows about our dark times and He knows of our fears and worries.

“There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves; men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to happen, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near.”” ‭‭(Luke‬ ‭21:25-28‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

In the current slow economy, companies are retrenching more than ever.
Manpower has cheapened because of artificial intelligence. For example: at supermarkets, cashiers are replaced by machines.
People have to multitask and take on overwhelming responsibilities in order to remain relevant.

Isaiah 60:2 - There is a thick, palpable darkness today. People are under a cloud of depression.
However, for believers, Jesus will arise over us—He is watching over us.
As the world gets darker, the church will shine brighter—the church is our refuge.
What is important in Heaven? Souls!

“For, behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but Yahweh will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.” ‭‭(Isaiah‬ ‭60:2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The spiritual realm shows the truth. What is visible is temporal whereas what is invisible is eternal.

Our Heavenly Father is watching over us as we learn how to walk. He cares for us and loves us unconditionally.
God even bothers to number all the hairs on our heads. Earthly parents, in all their love for their children, don’t even bother to do that.

When Jesus cast out the legion of demons from the demoniac in the land of the Gadarenes, the people of the region rejected Jesus and begged Him to leave.
Jesus knows how rejection feels—He understands how you’re feeling.

The Holy Spirit is like our personal GPS who leads us to a good place. A GPS doesn’t condemn you for making a wrong turn—it just recalibrates a new route for you. Similarly, when you make a mistake, the Holy Spirit still wants to lovingly lead you to a good place. This GPS is powered by love, so rest in God's love for you!

The Holy Spirit leads us to rapid increase, breakthroughs and fruitfulness!

​John 7:37-39 - Jesus cried out because He wants the people to come to Him and enjoy the benefits of salvation in Him.
Like a loving mother who just cooked a piping hot meal, calling out to her children to eat it while it’s hot and delicious.
God wants to give us an advantage that the world doesn’t have—the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

“Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink! He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.” But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn’t yet glorified.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭7:37-39‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Genesis 2:10-14 - God’s plan has always been to give us the best.
The rivers represent the rivers of living water that flow inside us.
Pishon means “increase”. God wants to give us increase.
He will lead us to good, uncompromising success.
Gihon means “bursting forth”. God wants to give you a breakthrough.
Hiddekel means rapid. God wants to swiftly deliver good success to you.
Euphrates means fruitfulness. He will is to bear good fruit in your life.
The Holy Spirit wants to give you rapid increase, breakthroughs and fruitfulness!

“A river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it was parted, and became the source of four rivers. The name of the first is Pishon: it flows through the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; and the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and onyx stone are also there. The name of the second river is Gihon. It is the same river that flows through the whole land of Cush. The name of the third river is Hiddekel. This is the one which flows in front of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.” ‭‭(Genesis‬ ‭2:10-14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Acts 2:1-4 - The Holy Spirit excitedly came down and gave the disciples a huge bear hug.
Our spirits are so perfectly cleansed and holy in Christ that the Holy Spirit can live inside us.
The Holy Spirit is a light inside us. He enables us to see in the darkness around us.
On an oil lamp, the flame is a picture of the Holy Spirit and the wick represents our tongue.

“Now when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all with one accord in one place. Suddenly there came from the sky a sound like the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. Tongues like fire appeared and were distributed to them, and one sat on each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.” ‭‭(Acts‬ ‭2:1-4‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The New Testament tells us the key points whereas the Old Testament shows us the details.

1 Samuel 30:4-8 - This passage shows us a man who depended on the Lord.
No wonder Solomon could humbly tell the Lord that he didn’t know how to go in or how to go out—he learnt this reliance on the Lord from his father David.
Experience and knowledge is overrated. Depend on the Lord because He can give you what the world cannot receive.
The Holy Spirit is like our personal GPS—He guides us in the way we should go.
The ephod is like an apron on the High Priest’s breastplate.
When a mother wears an apron in the kitchen, she wants to serve you food.
Similarly, God wants you to rest and let Him serve you.
The GPS inside us is not powered by electricity, but by love.
Abiathar means “my Father is great”. Ahimelech means “my Brother is King”. It’s not about how well we walk, but about how great our Heavenly Father is.
Be conscious of your great Abba Father and that Jesus the King of kings is your Brother—you’re a joint heir in Christ.
When Peter started sinking in the lake, Jesus quickly grabbed his hand.
When you turn your eyes away from Jesus, His eyes are still fixed on you.
The GPS doesn’t condemn you for making a wrong turn—it just recalibrates a new route for you.
Similarly, when you make a mistake, the Holy Spirit still wants to lovingly lead you to a good place.
Today we don’t need to wear an ephod. We have it inside us—the Holy Spirit.

“Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voice and wept until they had no more power to weep. David’s two wives were taken captive, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the souls of all the people were grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters; but David strengthened himself in Yahweh his God. David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Please bring the ephod here to me.” Abiathar brought the ephod to David. David inquired of Yahweh, saying, “If I pursue after this troop, will I overtake them?” He answered him, “Pursue; for you will surely overtake them, and will without fail recover all.”” ‭‭(1 Samuel‬ ‭30:4-8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The power of praying in tongues

1 Corinthians 14:14 - God prays through us when we pray in tongues.
Our mind tends to reason us out of faith, into unbelief.
Praying in tongues bypasses our mind. 

“For if I pray in another language, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.” ‭‭(1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 8:26-28 - When you don’t know how to pray, pray in tongues.
God’s will is for us to prosper in all things and be in health.
The Holy Spirit is a great gift. We can choose to rest in Him and pray in tongues. 
When you rest in the Holy Spirit’s leading, He will bring you to a place of rapid increase, breakthrough and fruitfulness.

“In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭8:26-28‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 13:21-26 - Before things happen, God already knows about it beforehand. 
John knew that he was loved by Jesus. When you lean on Jesus’ heart of love, you will hear God’s direction very clearly. 

“When Jesus had said this, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, “Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.” The disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom he spoke. One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was at the table, leaning against Jesus’ breast. Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, and said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom he speaks.” He, leaning back, as he was, on Jesus’ breast, asked him, “Lord, who is it?” Jesus therefore answered, “It is he to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭13:21-26‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 16:13 - The Holy Spirit can tell you things in advance. 
The Lord wants us to draw back and rest in the Holy Spirit’s leading. 

“However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭16:13‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 14:6 - When you have lost your way, come to Jesus who is the Way. 

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The truth is that there is a God who loves us so much that He gave us His only begotten Son so that we would have eternal life. 

When you’re feeling stressed and worried, talk to Jesus. Refocus on God’s love for you. 

In the stable, Mary just held Jesus and beheld His face. 
Even though there was darkness outside and she was poor, it didn’t matter.
When she was focusing on Jesus, the wise men who were riding on camels brought gold (prosperity), myrrh (healing) and frankincense to her family.
See God’s goodness and mercy coming towards you as you just focus on Jesus. 
Good things happen to those who know that God loves them.
