7 June 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Experience a Victorious Life by Knowing The Good ShepherdJohn 10:7-11 - Without the revelation that God is our Good Shepherd, we are exposed to the devil who steals, kills and destroys. One of the greatest ways that the devil masquerades himself is as a religious teacher who teaches false doctrine. Fearfulness of God is from the devil. "Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep." (John 10:7-11 NKJV) III John 1:2-4 - This is God's will for us! We have to actively pray for health. "Walk in the truth" means believing in the gospel of grace. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." (III John 1:2-4 NKJV) Galatians 2:11-14 - Paul rebuked Peter for not walking in the truth of the gospel. "Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy. But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews?" (Galatians 2:11-14 NKJV) "But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?" (Galatians 2:14 KJV) The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil exists because there has to be something evil to give man true free will. If there was nothing evil, man's free will would just be a mirage. Nothing grows old, and nothing dies in heaven. Our Heavenly Father is forever young. Isaiah 53:5-6 - The Law demands stripe for stripe, tooth for tooth. This is grace - that by His stripes we are healed. This healing is physical healing. God hates death and disease. At the cross, Jesus bore our sins and our diseases. "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53:5-6 NKJV) I Peter 2:24-25 - The day the church believes that God is its Shepherd, its days of sickness is over. We must know that our Good Shepherd is taking care of all our needs. "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-- by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls." (I Peter 2:24-25 NKJV) 
The day the church believes that God is its Shepherd, its days of sickness is over. We must know that our Good Shepherd is taking care of all our needs.
God took the most wicked act of man - crucifying Jesus at the cross, and made it the greatest act of grace. Repentance is changing your mind towards God. God does not owe us an apology, neither does He owe us an answer. The devil wanted to rule the earth. God made man last - His supreme creation, to rule the earth. Man gave it to the devil. God has to find a legal way to get the earth back from the devil. A man (Adam) gave the earth away, so it has to be a Man (Jesus) to take it back. No natural disasters are acts of God. The thief came to steal, kill and destroy. This earth is a fallen earth. Evolution is false - Everything on earth degenerates, it does not get more complicated. The earth is decaying, not regenerating. Jesus was born of a virgin. The mother's blood is not given to the fetus. He had sinless blood. Jesus was born to die for us. When Jesus washed the feet of His disciples, it was not to heal them, it was to provide them with bodily comfort. How kind our God is! Jeremiah 25:11 - The Jews were put in captivity in Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar for seventy years. "And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years." (Jeremiah 25:11 NKJV) Jeremiah 29:10 - God promised to return the Jews to their homeland after the seventy years of captivity in Babylon. "For thus says the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place." (Jeremiah 29:10 NKJV) Daniel 9:2-3 - Despite being a prophet of God, Daniel still studied God's word. Even if a promise is written in God's word, we must still pray for His will to be done. "in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes." (Daniel 9:2-3 NKJV) When we are people of God, we reach the greatest potential of our feminine nature as a woman or masculinity as a man. Psalm 23:1-6 - David saw himself as a sheep led by God his Shepherd - he knew that he would not lack. Do our best, but not in stress. Live life and love, in rest. We don't need to defend ourselves, neither do we need to fight for open doors. If God opens the door, it is ours. If God doesn't open the door, it's not meant to be ours at this present moment. "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever." (Psalms 23:1-6 NKJV) 
Without the revelation that God is our Good Shepherd, we are exposed to the devil who steals, kills and destroys. Through Jesus, we have life, and life more abundantly!
If we have been given favor, we should be careful who we pay attention to. We should not give our weight to negative critics who don't speak the truth. Jeremiah 23:3-8 - God is bringing the Jews back to Israel. This prophecy is happening right now. "Shepherd" and "feed" is "raah" - we are to feed on grace. Without "hei" (grace), it becomes "ra" which means evil. People who sit under anointed teaching in these last days will fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor be lacking. The Lord Jesus is our righteousness. We don't have to perform or supply our own righteousness. If we draw a straight line from Israel towards the north, it will cut Russia, specifically Moscow. Many Jews in Russia are returning to Israel. "“But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says the LORD. “Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE Lord OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. “Therefore, behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “that they shall no longer say, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up and led the descendants of the house of Israel from the north country and from all the countries where I had driven them.’ And they shall dwell in their own land.”" (Jeremiah 23:3-8 NKJV) 'Freethinkers' are not free to think. They are in bondage in their mind. They are servants of sin. God wants us to be able to think free and be free. Matthew 9:36 - Jesus had compassion for the people because they were like sheep without a shepherd. God cares for the unsaved as sheep without a shepherd. "But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd." (Matthew 9:36 NKJV)
