How you are cut down to the ground, who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, “I will ascend into heaven! I will exalt my throne above the stars of God! I will sit on the mountain of assembly, in the far north! I will ascend above the heights of the clouds! I will make myself like the Most High!” Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the depths of the pit. Those who see you will stare at you. They will ponder you, saying, “Is this the man who made the earth to tremble, who shook kingdoms; who made the world like a wilderness, and overthrew its cities; who didn’t release his prisoners to their home?”” (Isaiah 14:12-17 WEB) Hi dear reader, the passage above is God’s prophecy of judgment against the King of Babylon, not Satan: “that you will take up this parable against the king of Babylon, and say, “How the oppressor has ceased! The golden city has ceased!”” (Isaiah 14:4 WEB) Another proof that Isaiah 14 is not directly talking about Satan is because it says that the souls in Sheol (hell) will ponder and ask “is this the man”. Man - not devil, fallen angel or demon. However seeing the pride that oozes from the five “I will” statements in the passage, it’s undeniable that Satan was working behind the scenes, using the King of Babylon for his own demonic agendas. I believe that each of the 5 points of the pentagram (star) which the occult uses for their magic spells, represents each one of the arrogant “I will” statements. The star itself represents “morning star, son of the dawn”, in reference to Satan, the false god which those who practice the occult knowingly or unknowingly worship. Through the passage, we can also infer Satan’s main mission: He is working to develop a way to gain access to heaven on his own terms, so that he can usurp God’s throne and change his fate (of being thrown into the lake of fire at the end of time).

4 February 2018 - The Fall of Lucifer and What Does Satan Want - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineJesus wants to be part of our daily lives. He daily loads us with His benefits. If we fall into sin as believers, it’s not the end of the world, the forgiveness has been provided for by Jesus. Preaching right believing cannot lead to wrong living. Preaching the truth cannot lead to living a lie. Everything beautiful in nature reflects our Creator. Only someone beautiful can create beautiful things. Even the adorable child you carry in your hands was created by Him. God must be cuter and more adorable. Some people believe that the world was created by a Big Bang. Pastor Prince believes that yes, when God speaks there is a Big Bang. Man did not evolve from a lower species. Everything in this world breaks down and degenerates. If you leave a cup of hot coffee on the table, it will cool down. Man cannot give life. Only God can. The magicians of Egypt under Pharaoh couldn’t reproduce what God did when He sent the plague of lice. They had to admit that it was truly the finger of God. Proverbs 16:12 - God’s throne is established by righteousness as well. If God does something unrighteous, His throne would be shaken and the entire universe would collapse. “It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, For a throne is established by righteousness.” (Proverbs 16:12 NKJV) Proverbs 20:28 - The word “upholden” in Hebrew means supported by. “Mercy and truth” in Hebrew is “hesed ve emet” which means grace and truth. God has to be righteous, but His heart is for true grace. “Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.” (Proverbs 20:28 KJV) What is Leprosy? You get cut off from your people. Lepers live isolated. It's like a life sentence. It's more than just a physical thing - it represents our sin. Under the Law, if the leper touches another person, the other person would become unclean. Under grace, when Jesus touched the leper, the leper became clean. The Law demands, grace supplies. The cross is the answer to God's heart of grace: Righteousness says that if man sins, there must be death. Because of the quality of the Man (Jesus) that died for us, there was a huge overpayment for our sin debt. Where is the grace and love part of the cross? It is that God didn’t want the punishment for our sins to be upon us. He chose to have it upon Jesus instead. Adam bowed his knee to the outlaw spirit and gave the earth to the devil. The devil hates us because we are made in God’s image. The devil brought everything that’s the opposite of true pleasure into the earth. Even if something sinful gives temporary pleasure, it will cause a more permanent pain after that. God did not create carnivorous animals. When the lion was created, it did not originally eat meat. When Adam fell, all Creation fell with him. This is the way God designed: a representative’s leadership would determine whether everyone in the family is blessed or cursed. Your father was the representative head of your household when you were a child. Whether you like it or not, your destiny is wrapped up in the lives of your ancestors. Romans 8:22 - After Adam fell, all Creation travails and moans, crying out for redemption. When Jesus returns to rule on earth, children will even play safely with once dangerous animals. Animals will be restored to their original, good-natured selves. “For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.” (Romans 8:22 NKJV) |
