4 June 2023 - Hope That Does Not Disappoint - New Creation Church Sermon Notes (Pastor Lim Lian Neo)4/6/2023 4 June 2023 - Hope That Does Not Disappoint - New Creation Church Sermon Notes (Pastor Lim Lian Neo)New Sermon Notes: Pastor Lian taught us to hope in God to renew our strength as we wait for the desired breakthrough. We will not be disappointed by having confident hope in God. Praise and worship songs performed: 1. The Highest Praise - New Creation Worship 2. I Surrender - New Creation Worship 3. I Stand In Worship - New Creation Worship 4. When I Look Into Your Holiness - Cathy Perrin 5. Goodness Of God - Bethel Music Psalm 103:1-5 - We declared this aloud together as a church. “Praise Yahweh, my soul! All that is within me, praise his holy name! Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” (Psalms 103:1-5 WEBUS) Jesus said that we would have trials and tribulations in this world, but to take heart as He has overcome the world. Psalm 27:13 - David declared this even when he was going through troubles. The word “still” in this verse means that a lot of time has passed. If you have been facing an issue for a long time and waiting for a breakthrough, you can still be confident in the goodness of God. “I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living.” (Psalms 27:13 WEBUS) Psalm 27:14 - The word translated as “wait” is “qavah” in Hebrew which means hope. To wait means to Hope in God. Wait is emphasized twice—it is important. Some time is required for fulfillment of His promises. “Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh.” (Psalms 27:14 WEBUS) Romans 5:5 - God’s love is gushing out into our hearts. We will not be disappointed when we hope in God. “and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:5 WEBUS) Isaiah 40:31 - We need strength to wait. Whilst waiting, keep hoping in the Lord Jesus to renew strength. “but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 WEBUS)

19 March 2023 - Renovations For Good Manifestations - New Creation Church Sermon Notes (Pastor Lim Lian Neo)New Sermon Notes: Pastor Lian taught us how to receive God’s manifestations of goodness in our lives through the renovation of our minds. Praise and worship songs performed: 1. The House Of The Lord - Phil Wickham 2. Rain Upon My Life - New Creation Worship 3. How Excellent Your Name - Peter Jacobs 4. Worthy - Elevation Worship 5. King Of My Heart - Bethel Music Psalm 62:5 - Have expectations this year for good manifestations from the Lord. “My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him.” (Psalms 62:5 WEBUS) 2 Corinthians 12:9 - Everyone has weaknesses. Jesus’ power will be made perfect in your weakness. Let His grace fill that area of lack. “He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEBUS) Psalm 73:2-3 - Things can happen to us but it does not have to change what is inside us. Don’t let the poison get into you. “But as for me, my feet were almost gone. My steps had nearly slipped. For I was envious of the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.” (Psalms 73:2-3 WEBUS) Let the Lord interrupt and disrupt what the devil has been trying to do to you for years. Don’t let the negative labels from others stick to you. Psalm 73:21-26, 28 - Holding on to un-forgiveness/grudges is like drinking poison and expecting others to die from it. It is just inflicting harm on yourself. We have the power to allow or disallow things to affect us. Choose to let go of grudges and bitterness for they are poison. Guard your heart from poison! Don’t do something to get back at a loved one because it will hurt you back even more. When you allow the Lord to guide you, He will soften you from the anger. He will comfort and strengthen you. “For my soul was grieved. I was embittered in my heart. I was so senseless and ignorant. I was a brute beast before you. Nevertheless, I am continually with you. You have held my right hand. You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom do I have in heaven? There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever…But it is good for me to come close to God. I have made the Lord Yahweh my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.” (Psalms 73:21-26, 28 WEBUS) 27 November 2022 - Expect Great Things From God - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lim Lian NeoNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lian preached a powerful message that ignite hope in our hearts. Hope is the confident expectation of good. Expect great things from God so we can do great things for God! Praise and worship songs performed: 1. Before The Throne Of God Above - Charitie Lees Banecroft 2. Never Walk Alone - Bethel Music 3. I Love You Lord - Jason Morant 4. I Will Follow After You - New Creation Worship 5. Worthy Is The Lamb - Darlene Zschech 6. Living Hope - Bethel Music Academic performance is important, but it is not everything. When Jesus is with you, you are successful. Success is when you trust God. We don’t want to raise independent children—we want them to be God-dependent. Isaiah 40:29-31 - If you feel weak, you are perfectly positioned to receive God’s strength as you hope in Him. All our best days are ahead of us as we hope in the Lord. Bible hope is not just wishing. In Greek it is “elpis” which is a confident expectation of good. “He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:29-31 WEBUS) Romans 15:13 - Our God of hope wants us to abound in hope. William Carey, a missionary in India from the 1700’s who translated the Bible into the five main languages in India, said, “Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God.” “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13 WEBUS) Pray for your family members who aren’t born again yet. Expect them to get saved. Pastor Lian declared that she saw in her spirit: Glorious marriages in the church. The devil wants you to think there is no more hope in your marriage, but God wants you to believe that the hope of the righteous is gladness. Don’t just do the bare minimum at work. Shine for God’s glory. Expect great things from God at your workplace. 23 October 2022 - Remain In God’s Love - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lim Lian Neo23/10/2022 23 October 2022 - Remain In God’s Love - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lim Lian NeoNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lian taught us to continue in the things we have learned and have been assured of. You won’t give up—you will wise up and rise up, walking in your salvation! Praise and worship songs performed: 1. Our God - Hillsong Music 2. That’s The Power - Hillsong Music 3. Break Every Chain - Tasha Cobbs 4. I Sing Praises To Your Name - Integrity! Hossana Music 5. King Of Heaven - New Creation Worship 6. Great Is The Lord - Steven McEwan 7. So You Would Come - Hillsong Music The joy of the Lord is our strength. We will be led out with God’s peace that surpasses all understanding. 2 Timothy 3:14 - In these perilous times, just continue in the things you have learned and have been assured of. Don’t move from those things. You will not give up—you will wise up and rise up, walking in your salvation. Salvation is not just about being saved from hell, but being delivered and preserved from all troubles. “But you remain in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them. From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 3:14-15 WEBUS) 1 John 4:16 - If you don’t know what to do, just remain in and be assured of the love that God has for you. In your daily life, see God’s grace and don’t obsess over the gaps that have yet to be filled. Having experience is the revelation you have in your heart. Prayer is not a duty. It is vocalizing and expressing your dependence on God. “And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him.” (1 John 4:16 AMPC) 28 August 2022 - Fruitfulness and Multiplication Through Soul Prosperity - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lim Lian NeoNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lian taught us how to develop precious soul prosperity that produces fruitfulness, multiplication, and prosperity in all things. Praise and Worship Song Performed: 1. To You - Darlene Zschech 2. I Love You Lord - Laurie Klein 3. I Will Follow After You - New Creation Worship 4. Amazing Grace (Hymn) 5. Still - Hillsong Music John 15:16 - Pastor Marilyn Hickey gave Pastor Lian this verse seven years ago. “You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.” (John 15:16 WEBUS) The first thing God did to Adam and Eve is to bless them. He declared, “Be fruitful and multiply.” God is releasing His blessing onto us. To be fruitful (in Hebrew: parah) means to see growth and increase in your life. The Hebrew word that was translated as “multiply” is “rabah”: enlarge, plenteous, to make great. 3 John 1:2 - The key to be fruitful and multiply is to have a soul that is prosperous. The soul is the mind, will, and emotions. We will have mental and emotional well-being. We will have the supernatural ability to choose life and not death. Choose life in your relationships. You will be empowered to avoid toxic relationships and avoid unnecessary arguments with your spouse. You don’t have to wish for life to get easier. The soul prosperity will give you supernatural contentment amidst the trouble. Your soul is not tagged to external circumstances, but to the person of Jesus Christ, His finished work at the cross, and His love for you. Jesus is the anchor of your soul. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2 WEBUS) 17 July 2022 - Flourish Through Soul Prosperity - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lim Lian NeoNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lian taught us about having a secret root life that cultivates soul prosperity. This then leads to us prospering in all things and being in health. Praise and Worship Song Performed: (I missed songs before this) 1. Jesus - Debby Kerny Rettino 2. Jesus At The Center - Israel Houghton 3. Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) - Chris Tomlin 4. Dance Like David Danced 5. Way Maker - Sinach You shall taste and see that the Lord is indeed good to you. 3 John 1:2 - Most of all, God wants you to enjoy soul prosperity. Your outward indicators are not as important as your inner life. God wants you to prosper in all things—all areas of your life. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2 WEBUS) Jeremiah 17:8 - The secret to a tree being fruitful is the health of its root system. Water is a picture of God’s word. The root system is about your secret life between you and the Lord. “For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:8 WEBUS) We are not numbered among those who are resigning, but we will be the ones who are possessing our inheritance in Christ. John 15:5, 7 - It is not just about the written Word but also your connection with the Living Word (Jesus). Involve Jesus in your daily life and ask Him to guide you. To “remain” is “meno” in Greek with means to stay there. “I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing...If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:5, 7 WEBUS) John 15:9 - Jesus did not say “feel” My love. He said “remain” (means to believe that you are loved by Him, even when you do not feel it). Faith is to have a good opinion of God. You do not need emotions to assure you that He is real and true. Faith is not a feeling. Oftentimes, the positive feelings will follow as you get better at something. “Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.” (John 15:9 WEBUS) 24 April 2022 - Lay Hold Of Your God Purpose - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lim Lian Neo Sermon NotesNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lian preached an anointed sermon, encouraging all who went through a night season, that they are entering a season of pressing on and laying hold of God’s blessings and His purpose in their lives. There is a divine reset taking place now! Praise and Worship Song Performed: 1. God You’re So Good - Brett Younker 2. Great Things - Phil Wickham 3. Everlasting - New Creation Worship 4. For You Alone - Don Harris Philippians 3:12-13 - The Lord says there is much more to lay hold of. “Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, if it is so that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,” (Philippians 3:12-13 WEB) The Lord says, “Today there will be a divine reset. Today is the day you will lay hold of God’s promises.” If you have experienced a night season, you are entering a season of laying hold of God’s blessings. The first step to lay hold is to let go of all the former things of the past you are holding on to. Let go and let God. Isaiah 43:18-19 - Remember in Hebrew is “zakar” which means to be mindful. Do not allow bad thoughts to fester in your mind. God will bring you out of the wilderness and refresh you. ““Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:18-19 WEB) One drop of God’s favor is better than ten years of human labor. See God’s supply coming into your finances. See His strength supplied into the area of your weakness. Philippians 4:8 - Implant good thoughts in your mind and focus on them. The best thoughts are God’s words in the Scriptures. “Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.” (Philippians 4:8 WEB) 27 March 2022 - Heaven’s Treasury Opened For You - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lim Lian NeoNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lian shared that whatever your need is, the Lord will open a door to the royal treasury in Heaven to supply that need as you gather in the local church—the house of God, gate of Heaven, and fullness of Christ! Praise and Worship Song Performed: 1. Beautiful Savior -Planetshakers 2. Worthy Is The Lamb - Hillsong Worship 3. You Alone I Praise - New Creation Worship 2 Corinthians 3:18 - We are transformed like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly through metamorphosis, from glory to glory. “But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18 WEB) Psalm 133:1-3 - As we gather as the body of Christ, united in believing in what Jesus did at the cross, mighty things will happen in His name. God’s favor descends upon us as we gather in Jesus’ name, and every need will be abundantly supplied. We will experience the commanded blessing. “See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, that ran down on the beard, even Aaron’s beard; that came down on the edge of his robes; like the dew of Hermon, that comes down on the hills of Zion: for there Yahweh gives the blessing, even life forever more.” (Psalms 133:1-3 WEB) Ephesians 1:22-23 - God has so much for us. The church is the fullness of Christ—you will find the fullness of everything you need in the body of Christ. “He put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the assembly, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.” (Ephesians 1:22-23 WEB) Genesis 28:10-17 - Beersheba means “well of oath” and Haran means “parched, dry”. Jacob was in this place because he was fleeing from his brother Esau who wanted to kill him. Today, the house of God is the body of Christ (the church). Jacob must have felt like he lost everything. He was so broken. But the Lord spoke prophetically over his destiny and gave him a fresh hope. When you come to church, the Lord will speak into your life. Just believe it simply. “Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran. He came to a certain place, and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. He took one of the stones of the place, and put it under his head, and lay down in that place to sleep. He dreamed. Behold, a stairway set upon the earth, and its top reached to heaven. Behold, the angels of God ascending and descending on it. Behold, Yahweh stood above it, and said, “I am Yahweh, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac. The land whereon you lie, to you will I give it, and to your offspring. Your offspring will be as the dust of the earth, and you will spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south. In you and in your offspring will all the families of the earth be blessed. Behold, I am with you, and will keep you, wherever you go, and will bring you again into this land. For I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken of to you.” Jacob awakened out of his sleep, and he said, “Surely Yahweh is in this place, and I didn’t know it.” He was afraid, and said, “How dreadful is this place! This is none other than God’s house, and this is the gate of heaven.”” (Genesis 28:10-17 WEB) John 1:51 - The body of Christ is the place where angels ascend and descend. “He said to him, “Most certainly, I tell you, hereafter you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”” (John 1:51 WEB) Matthew 18:20 - When we gather in Jesus’ name, the Holy Spirit gathers us unto Jesus. When you have no faith, come to local church and let fellow believers join their faith with yours. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.”” (Matthew 18:20 WEB) The church is the most successful and powerful organization in creation. In it you can find the fullness of Christ. 13 February 2022 - Rest And See His Goodness - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lim Lian NeoNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lian encouraged us to believe the Lord for His abundance to manifest in all areas of our lives this year. Rest in His goodness and see Him accelerate all the blessings. Praise and Worship Song Performed: 1. Anthem Of Grace - New Creation Worship 2. Glory, Honor, Power - Influence Music 3. For My Good - New Creation Worship 4. King Of My Heart - John Mark McMillan Psalm 65:11 - Believe the Lord for His abundance to manifest in all areas of your life this year. Rest in His goodness and see Him accelerate all the blessings. “You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.” (Psalms 65:11 NKJV) Hebrews 3:10-12 - We rest in God through faith in Him. “Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, ‘They always err in their heart, but they didn’t know my ways;’ as I swore in my wrath, ‘They will not enter into my rest.’” Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;” (Hebrews 3:10-12 WEB) Pastor Lian shared a testimony of a woman who chose to rest in God and experienced her accelerated healing. Matthew 11:28-29 - The word “labor” in Greek is “kopiaó” which means wearisome labor. The words “heavily burdened” in the Greek means to be anxious. The word “rest” in the Greek means to remain, to be refreshed, to take ease. There is a rest that Jesus gives, and there is a rest that we find. When we put Jesus in the center of our lives, we will find His rest. ““Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29 WEB) Resting means not be using your own effort to force, drive, nag, etc. Let go and let God take over. Pastor Lian shared a testimony of a student who was struggling in Chinese, but after she learned to rest in Jesus, she scored a good result in her final examinations. Isaiah 30:15 - The word for “returning” in Hebrew is “teshuvah”. The last Hebrew letter in the word is “hei” which means grace. We return to grace. The word for “saved” in Hebrew is “yasha” which means defend, deliver, help, preserve, get victory, etc. “For thus said the Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, “You will be saved in returning and rest. Your strength will be in quietness and in confidence.” You refused,” (Isaiah 30:15 WEB) John 1:17 - Grace is Jesus Himself. Return to Jesus. “For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:17 WEB) 19 December 2021 - Delivered From Fire and Flood - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lim Lian NeoNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lian shared a message of encouragement for those who are going through severe troubles that feel like fires and floods. You will be delivered out into a place of great abundance and rich fulfillment. Praise and Worship Song Performed: 1. The First Noel 2. What Child Is This 3. King of Kings - Hillsong Music Psalm 66:12 - No matter what you went through this year, It is God who will bring us out to a place of great abundance and rich fulfillment. We will not just cope, but confidently hope in God’s deliverance. “You allowed men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water, but you brought us to the place of abundance.” (Psalms 66:12 WEB) Daniel 3:17-18 - Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego found themselves thrown into a fiery furnace. They made a faith confession and were bound hand and foot, thrown into a seven-times-hotter fire. “If it happens, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up.” (Daniel 3:17-18 WEB) Daniel 3:24-25 - Jesus will be with you in the fire. “Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste: he spoke and said to his counselors, Didn’t we cast three men bound into the middle of the fire? They answered the king, True, O king. He answered, Look, I see four men loose, walking in the middle of the fire, and they are unharmed; and the aspect of the fourth is like a son of the gods.” (Daniel 3:24-25 WEB) John 16:33 - A blessed life is not free from troubles. Yet, Jesus will be with us in the fire. “I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”” (John 16:33 WEB) Matthew 6:13 - We should not be praying to go through fire and flood because the Lord told us to pray that we will be delivered from evil and temptation. Even if God did not deliver you from the fire, He will deliver you while you are in the fire. “Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’” (Matthew 6:13 WEB) Daniel 3:27,30 - God will deliver you in the fire and promote you. “The satraps, the deputies, and the governors, and the king’s counselors, being gathered together, saw these men, that the fire had no power on their bodies, nor was the hair of their head singed, neither were their pants changed, nor had the smell of fire passed on them. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.” (Daniel 3:27, 30 WEB) |
