4 September 2016 - Protection Truths in the Ark of the Covenant - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineIn heaven you cannot do anything to expand God's kingdom on earth. Pray and believe for preservation of your youth for the purpose of expanding God's kingdom on earth! When you take Holy Communion, do it in remembrance of Jesus, not of yourself. Don't worry about your needs. From Jesus comes your health and provision. There is both predestination and free will. Predestination means that God foreknew that you would receive Jesus. Romans 3:19-27 - Our body is not evil. God made our body good. Our body is fallen. God's law is not just outward, it is inward too. It stops every mouth, making everyone guilty and unable to boast before God. Under Law, God demands from man. Under grace, God supplies all our needs. Jesus paid for all our sins at the cross, and that's the righteous basis of our supply. God cannot forgive us on an unrighteous basis. Grace supersedes the Law. The Law was given by a servant, Moses, whereas Grace came through Jesus Christ the Son. We are justified freely. On God's part it was at a great cost - He gave up His Son and Jesus gave up His life. The love of God gave up the Son, and the righteousness of God exacted the payment. The word propitiation is used only twice in the New Testament - it is used with reference to the mercy seat. God is just in justifying you! It is not at the expense of His righteousness. The claims of divine righteousness have already been full met at the cross. It is not talking about not being punished for sins in one's past life, but about not punishing the children of Israel for their sins in the past when Jesus had not appeared to them yet. “Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.” (Romans 3:19-27 NKJV) “For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,” (Romans 3:25 NLT)

28 August 2016 - The Way of Escape From Your Trials - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineYou cannot reason your way out of fear. You cannot psyche yourself out of depression. But you can listen your way out of fear by listening to God's word. We are either going into a trial or coming out of a trial. On this side of heaven, there are trials. Because you obey God, people will make fun of you, persecute you, etc. However we should not be suffering what Jesus already suffered for us at the cross - examples are sickness and disease. We will never be able to truly fathom what Jesus did for us at the cross. Religion is about doing our very best. It's something that man creates. Reality is what God makes. Christianity is not a religion - it is a reality and a relationship - God came to die for our sins! The worst sin in God's eyes is man trying to earn his own righteousness. If Jesus didn't come down to earth to die for us, we would never be able to go up to heaven. I Corinthians 10:13 - The word "temptation" in the verse is the Greek word "peirasmos" which means trial/ temptation or solicitation to sin. Faith is the currency of heaven. Sometimes we think too much of faith that it becomes a work. If we look at faith at itself, it becomes a work. The more we focus on God's faithfulness, the faith will be there. God will always make THE way of escape. It is not a way of escape. "The" is a definite article. The word "escape" is the Greek word "ekbasis" which means "the escape". The words "bear it" is the Greek word "hupophero" which means "an undercurrent of a river, carrying one away safely away from danger." “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” (I Corinthians 10:13 NKJV) 14 August 2016 - Blessed Through the Blood of Jesus - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineIn AD 70, General Titus led the Roman Army to raze Jerusalem to the ground. General Titus commanded his soldiers not to destroy the Temple, but as the soldiers fought, some of the torches of fire fell into the temple and the gold in between the cracks of the stones of the temple melted and started flowing down. This caused the soldiers to ignore General Titus' command and throw down the stones of the temple to get the gold. The son of the emperor of Rome said don't destroy the temple, whereas the Son of God (Jesus) said not one stone will be left on another. Jesus' word always comes to pass. You can be sure that God's prophecies will come to pass. Tisha B'Av - the 9th of Av : The date of mourning the destruction of the ancient Temples and Jerusalem, and other major calamities which have befallen the Jewish people. Zechariah 12:3, 8-9 - There is a covenant between God and Israel: Whichever nation comes against Israel will be broken. “And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it... In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the LORD before them. It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.” (Zechariah 12:3, 8-9 NKJV) There is no place for Anti-Semitism. 7 August 2016 - Holy Communion: The Eucharist that Brings Health and Wholeness (Part 2) - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineThe Bible says to pray and to make intercession for all who are in authority, so that we can live quiet and peaceable lives. In many parts of the world, common sense doesn't reign anymore. We know what's right in our hearts. Don't allow others to force you into accepting what is wrong. Gluttony is wrong because it destroys your body. God wants you to live long. For this reason - a singular reason, many are weak, sick and fall asleep before their time. That reason is that they don't distinguish the Lord's body - they don't distinguish between the bread and the cup. You don't partake of the holy communion in order to be forgiven. You partake to celebrate and give thanks for what has already been done. It's Eucharistic in nature. Psalms 22:17 - Most criminals would go straight to the cross. But because of Pontius Pilate's miscalculation, Jesus went through both scourging and crucifixion. Psalms 22, a Messianic Psalm reveals that Jesus was scourged so bad that His bones were exposed. “I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me.” (Psalms 22:17 NKJV) When you declare that you are healed of your sickness or disease, call the condition by name and declare that by Jesus' stripes, you are healed! Don't rush through it. Genesis 14:18-20 - Melchizedek is the King of Shalom. Shalom is not just peace, but it's also wholeness and completeness - it includes freedom from sickness and disease. Jesus was always healing and cleansing people while He was on earth because He is the King of Shalom. "God Most High" is "El Elyon" in Hebrew - this is the first mention of this name of God. Melchizedek said what He said to Abraham so that we know that God possesses both the heavens and the earth. Many have tried to take possession over the heavens and the earth, but all have failed. Only One will succeed, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ when He comes back to rule on earth. What did Melchizedek (who represents Jesus) say to the King of Sodom (who represents the devil)? Nothing! He completely ignored him. That's the posture we should have as believers. Don't give your credit, glory and weight to the devil. Just ignore him. Abraham knew that when he tithed he would become rich. The Hebrew word for "rich" which is "ashar" is in the Hebrew word for "tithe" which is "asar". “Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave him a tithe of all.” (Genesis 14:18-20 NKJV) 31 July 2016 - Holy Communion: The Eucharist that Brings Health and Wholeness - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineLuke 18:27 - Jesus Himself said, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God". God rejoices when He is needed and called on. “But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”” (Luke 18:27 NKJV) Isaiah 53:4-5 - The Bible says that surely Jesus has borne our "choli" which is the Hebrew word for "physical sickness" and carried our "makob" which is the Hebrew word for "physical pains". Jesus took our punishment upon Himself. He was not punished for His own sins, but for all of our sins! “Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5 NKJV) Matthew 8:16-17 - The context is physical healing. Isaiah 53:4 is not talking about healing from spiritual sickness - it's talking about healing from physical sickness. Our spirits are not just sick, they are dead if we are not saved. To revive our spirit, we need to be born again, not just healed. “When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”” (Matthew 8:16-17 NKJV) Luke 13:11-13 - Eighteen years - Eighteen is 6 + 6 + 6. 666 is the number of the Antichrist. The devil will always try to bow you down, but Jesus will always lift you up! “And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.” (Luke 13:11-13 NKJV) Romans 2:14-15 - The Bible says the Ten Commandments is written in every heart. This is how we know that we are all fallen - We know what's right but we don't want to do what's right. “for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them )” (Romans 2:14-15 NKJV) 24 July 2016 - Possess the Power to Prosper in All Things (Part 2) - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineSome people believe that they are saved by good works. No, we are saved by believing in Jesus Christ. However, man looks at our works. When a boss accesses the performance and is deciding on how much bonus to give to his employees, he bases it on their works. Can a boss access their performance by grace and give all of them equal bonus and give all of them the highest CEO position, disregarding their works? No it's not possible. In life you are rewarded based on your works. The reason someone can do his job with a smile is because of knowing the revelation that God's grace is working and flowing through him/her, and the grace given to him/her is not in vain. God will teach you from within. You don't need to play Pokemon anymore now that you are 20 years old. Live a holy life that is taught by grace, and be zealous for good works. Dead works are works that are done to try to justify oneself before God. In almost every epistle of the Apostle Paul, he refers to the Rapture, and the Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Rapture is "harpazo" in Greek which means "snatching away". There will be a judgment but it will not be on believers. It will be on the world. The Rapture was a mystery. It was hidden but now is revealed to believers. In the Rapture, we are not going up to heaven with just our spirit and soul, but with a new spiritual body that cannot die, cannot decay, and cannot feel tired. Some people believe that only obedient believers will go up in the Rapture, but the Apostle Paul said that all believers who are alive and remain will go up in the Rapture. That's the only criteria to go up in the Rapture. Animals all fell when Adam fell, because Adam was the appointed ruler of the earth. Animals became carnivorous when Adam fell. But animals will no longer devour each other when Jesus returns to rule. The Scriptural position is not to look back to death but to look forward to the "Blessed Hope", which is the glorious coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. When you say sorry to others or to God, it is not what makes God forgive you. You were forgiven of all your past, present and future sins when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. We should focus on confessing that we are the righteousness of God in Christ. Our salvation doesn't hinge on confessing all our sins. We don't confess our individual sins to be forgiven by God, but we do it for our own psychological need. When you sin, confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ. That's how you can overcome sins and addictions. It's not your repentance that makes God good to you. Under the Old Covenant, you have to repent first before you can experience God's goodness. Under the New Covenant of Grace, it's God's goodness that leads you to repentance. When God unleashes prosperity and blessings your way upon your career and/or ministry, no one can stop it. Your healing has nothing to do with what you have done, but it's because of what Jesus has done at the cross. 17 July 2016 - Possess the Power to Prosper in All Things - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineYou don't have to wait for someone to pray for you. As the word goes forth during church service, always be ready to receive your healing! There is a special corporate anointing! Luke 21:7-11 - "Nation will rise again nation" is ethnos against ethnos. "Ethnos" is the Greek word for "ethnic group". Nowadays there are many conflicts between ethnic groups. Great earthquakes are earthquakes that measure 6.0 or higher on the Richter scale. Nowadays there are such earthquakes every year. “So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?” And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He, ’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them. But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.” Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.” (Luke 21:7-11 NKJV) Mark 13:1-2 - In AD 70, General Titus led the Roman Army to raze Jerusalem to the ground. "And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said unto him, Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus answering said unto him, See these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down." (Mark 13:1-2, NKJV) In 1948, Israel came back as a nation after the "Six Day War". God was repeating history - The walls of Jericho collapsed after the children of Israel marched around them for six days. Titus 2:11-13 - Grace is a person. Grace has "appeared" which is "epiphano" and it means "becomes visible". The correct posture of a believer: we don't look forward to death. We look forward to the glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ! “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,” (Titus 2:11-13 NKJV) When you're believing the truth, the Spirit of Truth (the Holy Spirit) can attest to it. But when you're believing a lie, the Holy Spirit cannot attest to that, and it will manifest in the form of problems in your life. The words "Triune God" and "Trinity" are not found in the Bible. But they are truths and these are terms to help to explain the Scriptures. The word "Rapture" is not found in the Bible but it refers to the snatching away of believers to escape this world to be with Jesus. The Rapture is different from the Second Coming of Christ. In the Second Coming, Jesus will be coming back to judge this earth. As believers we won't be judged as we have passed from judgment into life. The Rapture is called a "mystery" because it was once hidden by God but now revealed by Him to His people. We shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed in a twinkling of an eye. It will happen so fast that no one will see it happen. Science is behind the Bible. Archaeology is playing catch up with the Bible. It depends on how fast they uncover the truth. Once upon a time Archaeologists didn't believe that the Hittites existed. Now they have found the proof of the Hittites civilization and that it may be even greater than ancient Egypt was. Archaeologists also found the huge bones of Philistines. They also found remains of a snake with legs (In the Garden of Eden, the serpent was cursed to crawl on its belly as a punishment for deceiving Adam and Eve into eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.) God so loved the world that He sent His Son Jesus to bear our judgement, and all our sins have been punished in Jesus' body at the cross. The Law of Double Jeopardy: the same offence cannot be punished twice. Therefore God is righteous in not punishing believers because Jesus has already paid the price for our sins. God uses judicial terms: we are the righteousness of God in Christ! That's the gospel in a nutshell. The Rapture can happen at anytime. The Rapture is the Blessed Hope, and that hope purifies us. There are people who say that the Rapture is a theory, a concoction that people came out with in the 1800's. Matthew Henry, one of the famous commentators of the Bible was one of the first to use the term "Rapture", and that was in the 1600's. III John 1:2 - There is no such thing as the 'health and wealth gospel'. There is only the gospel of grace and peace. But the gospel RESULTS in health, wealth and peace! Wherever the gospel goes, society has improved - women are honored and prosperity reigns. This is God's will for all believers: that we prosper in ALL things! “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (III John 1:2 NKJV) Pastor Prince is against materialism and covetousness, and against pastors who have big congregations and live ludicrous, outlandish lifestyles. Pastors should sacrifice for the flock and it should not be the flock sacrificing for the pastors. There is no such thing as "a window of opportunity has now opened in this season for financial blessings". Some pastors say that to get their congregation to give them money. The windows of heaven have been flung open permanently ever since Jesus died for us at the cross. God's favor and blessings are upon all believers at all times. 10 July 2016 - Possess Your Victory Over The Enemy - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineWe can't force people to be saved, but we can pray for them to be saved, and God will create such a situation where it is easy for them to receive Christ. God made every one of us, so He knows exactly what will work for each individual person. God gave the earth to Adam, but Adam unknowingly gave it away to the devil when he ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. It was a man that gave the earth away, so it must be a Man who takes it back from the devil. Jesus is that Man who took the earth back from the devil! Whenever you go to share the gospel, know that the whole of heaven is backing you up. Luke 10:19 - When you pray, pray in the name of Jesus - behind that name is all authority on heaven and on earth. An analogy: The power and credibility of a cheque depends on who whose name it is endorsed with. Jesus said that He gives us all authority over the dunamis (explosive power) of the devil. Speak to your pimple, your sickness, your disease, etc, saying: "I curse you ____ to your roots in Jesus' name!" "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."" (Luke 10:19, NKJV) The devil always wants to show the negative, because the negative perpetuates negativism. The media likes to spread negative news because negative news sells. Proverbs 15:30 - Good report makes your bones fat. Bad report makes your bones shrink. Nowadays people have a problem with osteoporosis (a disease which causes brittle bones). What better report is there than the gospel? Keep listening to the Good News - the word of God. "The light of the rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat." (Proverbs 15:30, KJV) In marriage you have big sex and outside of marriage you have small sex. That's the way it is. Hollywood won't present it to you that way. What is done against God's way does not fulfill. When you do things God's way, it is always better. The gospel is essentially this: God has made you righteous in Christ, not by your works but by what Jesus has done at the cross. The truth about righteousness being a gift is being attacked today. Jesus came to change our identity - we are not dirty rotten sinners anymore: we are the righteousness of God in Christ! 3 July 2016 - Glorious Gospel of the Happy God - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineThe Lord has sanctified Sunday. The Lord Jesus honored this day by appearing to His disciples on a Sunday, and then appearing to them again on a Sunday. Something is given and conferred when we come to the house of God on a Sunday. Where two or more are gathered in Jesus' name, there He is. The smallest majority is two. Jesus is so gracious. I Timothy 1:11 - The word "blessed" here is "makarios" which means happy. Our God is a happy God! The glorious gospel cannot help but manifest God's holiness. “according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.” (I Timothy 1:11 NKJV) It is not the 'message of grace' - it is the gospel of the grace of God. When we are saved, there is no compromise on God's holiness. Jesus Christ pre-existed with God, even before the foundation of the world. People presume to judge the Bible, when actually the Bible judges them. The Bible is the infallible word of the Living God. The Bible tells us that God loves us. Yes God demands righteousness from men because they are His children. But God knew that if He placed the full demand on men, men would be unable to meet up with His standard of righteousness. The greatest knowledge you can have on this side of heaven is the knowledge of God. This knowledge gives birth to all other knowledge. Don't boast in your strength, riches, etc. Instead, boast in the knowledge of God. Jesus knew the love of God. Jesus is the only One who fully knows God's level of righteousness and how great is our offence to God. God's righteousness must be measured at His level - to hate is to kill, to lust is to commit adultery. All of us have offended God. That is why Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount so that men would come to the end of themselves and recognise their need for a Savior. Trespass offering - if anyone commits a sin unknowingly, he still must bring a sin offering. Jesus is our Trespass Offering that paid for all of our sins, known and unknown. Under the Law, every justice must be exacted, every demand must be met. God is the Triune God. Jesus always existed with God, but when He came into the world, He confined Himself to time. For our sins to be cleansed, we need Jesus to die for our sins. Our blood cannot cut it because it is tainted blood. Only Jesus' blood is sinless blood. 26 June 2016 - Find Your Position to Possess Your Possessions - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineSunday is the Lord's Day. Jesus rose from the dead and appeared to His disciples on a Sunday. On a Sunday, Jesus expounded from the Scriptures about the things concerning Himself to the two disciples on the Road to Emmaus. On Sundays, we have to hear something about Christ. That's the solution to our foolishness and slowness of heart to believe. Statistics have shown that people who go to church on Sundays live longer! Don't allow negative news to come into your spirit. Don't waste time reading or watching negative news. For every interview with an opinion given, there is always an opposing view to it. Psalms 91 in the Bible is a psalm that promises God's all-encompassing protection. God's name is mentioned 5 times - the number of grace. There are 3 mentions of habitation in Psalms 91. Psalms 91:1 - "Dwells" is "yashav" which means to sit down. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalms 91:1 NKJV) Psalms 91:9-11 - "Dwelling place" in Hebrew is "maon" which means a place of safety. In the Hebrew, the word "plague" is the word for "stroke". No stroke will come near your dwelling. “Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.” (Psalms 91:9-11 NKJV) Psalms 91:16 - "Salvation" is "Yeshua" which is the name of Jesus. We can ask God for long life. It is not to satisfy God, but to satisfy us! “With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”” (Psalms 91:16 NKJV) If you find your position, you will find your possession. Position before possession. Living under the Law is based on human efforts. Grace is based on God's promises. The food on this earth is fallen food. The earth is under the curse. Bless your food before you eat - Therein lies the blessing. If you do things by the flesh, you may get immediate results but it is limited and confined. If you wait on the Lord, it may take longer, but it will be much greater in quality, according to the limitless supply of the Spirit. Colossians 2:10 - We lack for nothing. We are complete in Him now. Our understanding is always playing catch up with God's truths. We are already placed at the finish-line at the beginning of our journey as a believer. “and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” (Colossians 2:10 NKJV) When we take holy communion to receive healing, we must partake in the position of rest, declaring our faith that we are already healing, and not in the position of trying to be healed. To be healed, we must go into deeper rest in Christ, rather than trying harder to be healed which produces stress. Deuteronomy 28:1-3 - We are set far above all powers and principalities. Christianity begins with DONE, not DO. We walk not to be complete, but we walk in completion. We come with a sense of fullness, not of emptiness. God wants us to feel secure, deeply loved, liberally supplied, highly favored and greatly blessed. A favorite tactic of the devil today is to create a sense of insecurity, that anything bad can happen to you at any moment. ““Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God: “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.” (Deuteronomy 28:1-3 NKJV) Ephesians 2:4-7 - In God's viewpoint, we are now seated in heaven with Christ. Compared to God's viewpoint we cannot understand many things. We have to take God's word by faith. Faith is not blind, faith is intelligent. Faith is based on superior authority, reality, wisdom and intelligence beyond us. If we trust God's intelligence, we got to trust His word and go by faith. “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:4-7 NKJV) Psalms 92:13 - If you try to obtain something through striving and through your fleshly efforts, it is form of unbelief. However, if you rest, you are honouring God, showing that you trust Him. “Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God.” (Psalms 92:13 NKJV) Luke 4:3-13 - The constant theme of the devil is to leave out the word "beloved". It is counterproductive for the devil to remind Jesus that He is loved by God. Jesus never fought the devil with the spoken word of God, but through the written word of God. To defeat Satan, quote "It is written..." “And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’ ” Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.” And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’ ” Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.” (Luke 4:3-13 NKJV) |
