5 Life Lessons and Moral Value In "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" (Spoilers Alert!) - The Hunger Games Series

5 Life Lessons and Moral Value In "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" (Spoilers Alert!) - The Hunger Games Series

1) A tyrant's kingdom never endures. Their wrongdoings always eventually comes back to bite them!

Picture
After President Coriolanus Snow was removed from power, when Katniss Everdeen found out from him that President Alma Coin was a tyrant too, Katniss killed her. At President Snow's execution, Katniss altered her aim at the last moment, shooting an arrow straight through her chest.

2) Love can be greatly strengthened through trials and tribulations that are endured together as allies.

Picture
Although Katniss and Gale Hawthorne were in a relationship, the trials and tribulations that Katniss and Peeta endured together caused them both to love each other deeply, more than Katniss loved Gale.

3) Video broadcast and speeches are powerful tools of propaganda to persuade people in one's favor.
Not everything reported in the media is true - please exercise wisdom and discernment.

Picture
Both President Snow and President Coin used video broadcasts and speeches to discourage their enemies, and to inspire and motivate their own troops and people. Even deaths were used to fuel the momentum of their own agendas.

4) If your friend is willing to protect you and even sacrifice his/her life for you, that's a true friend indeed!
A true friend proves himself/herself by what they do, not by what they say.

Picture
In order to protect Katniss and the team, Finnick Odair stayed behind in the sewers to fend off the mutts. He ended up losing his life. Such a person is truly a valuable and honorable friend to have. He proved it with his actions, not just with words.

5) A government remains intact as long as the majority of its citizens choose to obey it, mostly either out of contentment or fear.

Picture
When all the Districts stood united against the Capitol, President Snow's dictatorship had no chance of survival. The citizens in the Capitol did not rebel because they were living comfortable and luxurious lives in there. People who are enjoying themselves wouldn't want to leave their comfort zones. Only those who are suffering will be desperate enough to take drastic actions!
