21 January 2018 - How to Receive the Spirit of Wisdom from God - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineWhen you feel like God is giving you words in your heart for others, speak it out and let them know. That’s how you flow in the prophetic gift. Our young children can flow in the prophetic gift too. In the Bible, if there’s a listing, more often than not, Wisdom is the first thing mentioned. The gift of the word of wisdom is the first spiritual gift of the Holy Spirit mentioned. Wisdom is the first thing mentioned of what Christ is to us. The Bible is God breathed. The Bible contains lies as well which are faithfully recorded - Example: the lie that Satan told Eve in the Garden of Eden. Job is the oldest book in the Bible. Moses compiled Genesis and Exodus. Job 26:7 - God knows how the world is made. The Book of Job says this very clearly: the earth hangs upon nothing. “He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.” (Job 26:7 NKJV) Job 25:5 - The moon doesn’t shine. It reflects light. “If even the moon does not shine, And the stars are not pure in His sight,” (Job 25:5 NKJV) Leviticus 17:11 - The life of the flesh is in the blood. Only the life of Jesus in His blood can wash away our sins. It is the blood of God Himself! “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’” (Leviticus 17:11 NKJV) Many people believe in the Big Bang Theory. It takes more faith to believe in that, that order came out of nowhere. In this world everything entropies - Example: a hot coffee gets cold after leaving it out in a room. Evolution is false - Everything on this earth doesn’t get from lower to higher. It seems like the earth is folding up and getting old. Three levels of reading God’s word: 1) The letter of the word (Outer Court) , 2) The meaning of the word (The Holy Place), 3) The unveiling of Jesus in the word. (Holy of Holies) Deuteronomy 30:3 - This was a prophetic word back then when it was written. This is the 5708th verse in the Torah. On that year in the Hebrew calendar, Israel came back as a nation. “that the LORD your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the LORD your God has scattered you.” (Deuteronomy 30:3 NKJV)

14 January 2018 - Hesed Wisdom in Turning from Self to Jesus - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online In the Hebrew Bible, everywhere the word “grace” appears, it is translated as “hesed”. Psalm 136:5 - The word “mercy” is “hesed” in Hebrew and should be translated as grace. Grace and wisdom appear together in one verse. “To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy endures forever;” (Psalms 136:5 NKJV) Luke 2:40 - Again grace and wisdom appear together in one verse. “And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.” (Luke 2:40 NKJV) The ability to recognize your own flaws is wisdom itself. You don’t need a winning lottery ticket to get what you want in life. Whatever you want is found in wisdom. Wisdom can bring you long life, riches, honor, pleasure and peace. When you read the Book of Proverbs, riches is depicted as something that comes from God, whereas poverty is a shame. I Kings 3:5-10 - "Great mercy" and "Great kindness" are both the same Hebrew words "hesed gadol" which means great grace. Solomon probably learnt about grace from his father David who also understood grace. Long before you see destruction there was pride. Long before you see honor, humility was there. Make wisdom your top prayer request this year. In Wisdom’s right hand is long life and in the left hand is riches and honor. God gave Solomon what was in the left hand. But the right hand came with conditions. Solomon died young because he was led astray by women and worshipped pagan idols. Jesus is the right hand. He is seated at the right hand of God. You have long life because you have Jesus. "At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?” And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. Now, O LORD my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.” (I Kings 3:5-10 NKJV) II Timothy 3:15 - The word “child” in Hebrew is the word for infant. Even an infant can receive wisdom. "And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." (II Timothy 3:15 NKJV) I King 3:15 - The first thing when you receive wisdom is that you treasure the presence of God and you want to know more of the Lord Jesus Christ. “Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.” (I Kings 3:15 NKJV) 7 January 2018 - Vision Sunday: The Year of Hesed Wisdom - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Theme of the Year 2018The world is getting darker but you can see good days in 2018! The theme of the year is an emphasis that God is placing for a certain part of the body of Christ. Different ministries may have different themes of the year and sometimes they may overlap. God wants you to know the theme so that when a breakthrough happens, you can think “Oh yeah, it’s the theme of the year - it’s all by Your grace!” When you only look out for your own family without caring about others, your life becomes insular and you will start to feel like you need to be there to protect your family all the time. That’s not God’s way. God’s way is for you to seek His kingdom and His righteousness first and all these things will be added to you. When you lose your life for His sake, you will find it. The word for grace in Hebrew is “hesed”. Hesed is when you don’t deserve it but God still blesses you. When you expect something bad to happen but you get something good. That’s hesed. Many Bible versions translate the well-known verse as “His love endures forever”, but the word for love there is actually “hesed”. The Hebrew word for love should be “ahava”. Hesed flows down to the humble. Humility is a condition to receive it. Proud people cannot receive it because Hesed is undeserved, unearned, unmerited favor. Proud people think that they can earn it themselves and won’t even pray for it. Psalm 136:15 - When you see this year God overturning evil powers and nations, it’s because God is showing His hesed. If we don’t learn about the judgement of God that fell upon Jesus on the cross then we won’t know how to appreciate God’s grace. “But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, For His mercy endures forever;” (Psalms 136:15 NKJV) There are three accounts of Jesus raising people from the dead: Jairus’ daughter. Raised from the dead after she just died. Widow of Naim’s son. Raised from the dead on the same day. Lazarus. Raised from the dead after four days. Jesus can raised back any level of dead. God can turn your valley of conflict into a valley of blessing this year in 2018, just like how He did for king Jehoshaphat. When the king put his worshippers in the front lines of the battle, his enemies were defeated. I Kings 3:4-10 - King Solomon is the richest man who ever lived. He is a trillionaire. Great mercy in Hebrew is “hesed gadol” which is great grace. Great kindness in Hebrew is also “hesed gadol” which is also great grace. Grace is attracted to your weakness. Your weakness is your qualification for grace. You don’t have to try to find weakness - just be yourself. As you grow in the Lord, be patient with yourself. If there’s no weakness in your life, God’s grace cannot flow. Solomon calls himself a little child. He is humble and you can see the beginning of wisdom in him. Solomon asked for a hearing heart - wisdom. The next day after Solomon received wisdom from the Lord, two prostitutes came face to face to meet the king to resolve a dispute over a child. Solomon did not have to meet them, but he replied with great wisdom - he was looking for the heart of affection of the real mother. “Now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.” (I Kings 3:4-10 NKJV) I Kings 3:10-15 - There is no earthly king that’s greater than Solomon. Solomon is the richest man that ever lived. After factoring in inflation, he would be worth about $2.1 Trillion in today’s time. Whatever your school results are does not deprive you of the good life that God can give you. There are many educated idiots out there and you can tell by the way they run things. God can give you wisdom. There was a condition attached to God’s promise: Solomon had to keep God’s commandments. In this area Solomon failed and that’s why his ministry only lasted for 40 years - despite that, it was still a golden age of Israel. “The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.” Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.” (I Kings 3:10-15 NKJV) I Kings 4:29-34 - Solomon’s wisdom excelled all other wise men. Science can only tell you what is happening. Solomon’s wisdom can go beyond that. He can tell you why God created a particular animal and their purpose. You can learn many moral lessons from his wisdom. “And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men— than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five. Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish. And men of all nations, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom, came to hear the wisdom of Solomon.” (I Kings 4:29-34 NKJV) Acts 4:33-34 - With great grace comes great power. There was no lack - they prospered. When great grace was upon them, provision flowed as well. “And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,” (Acts 4:33-34 NKJV) Proverbs 9:1 - Pastor Prince will be sharing more about the seven pillars this year both from the Old and New Testament. “Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars;” (Proverbs 9:1 NKJV) This is the Year of Hesed Wisdom. Pastor Prince told him that the theme of the year would make up the shape of the cross. The word Hesed shares an “s” with the word Wisdom: W I H E S E D D O M 31 December 2017 - New Mindset for the New Year - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Pastor Mark NgOur heart is not made to be satisfied by the things of this world. Joke by Pastor Mark Ng: God made the heavens and the earth and everything else is made in China. We always need to draw near to Jesus and He will give us the rest that we need. Under the Law, and the sacrificial sheep has to be a firstborn because God wants to give us the Firstborn Blessing. It has to be without blemish because God wants to give us righteousness. The person bringing the offering had to place his hands on the sheep because God wants us to touch Jesus. When we touch Jesus, we touch eternity and experience a rest. Jesus was judged for all our sins and we can expect good to happen to us because we have received Jesus’ righteousness. We can be restful because of what Jesus has done for us. II Corinthians 5:21 - God’s power is not in fasting or in prayer. It is in the gospel. The gospel is the revelation of the righteousness of God imputed to us. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (II Corinthians 5:21 NKJV) Proverbs 4:20-23 - Everything is from the inside out. It all begins in the heart. When you go after money, it always flies away. Guard your heart - your heart is like a projector: whatever is inside will be manifested outside. We are always meditating day and night. But what are you meditating on? We need to meditate on God’s word day and night and everything we do will prosper. “My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:20-23 NKJV) The gospel is that we all fail but God still loves us. Life is like the waves of the sea - sometimes it goes up, sometimes it comes down. We need to fix our eyes on Jesus and we’ll be able to walk above the waves. 24 December 2017 - The Greatest Gift of All - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Christmas Service 2017 - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes Christmas Sermon 2017“Santa Claus is Coming to Town” is written by a parent. It is used to threaten a child that if they don’t behave, they will not receive any Christmas presents from the mythical figure Santa Claus. Usually the cost of a Christmas gift is directly proportional to our love for the person. The greater the love, the greater the gift. Jesus is everything to us. Luke 2:10-11 - Jesus’ job is to save. His name means “Yahweh Saves”. “Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:13-14 NKJV) Matthew 1:20-21 - Jesus didn’t come to judge us for our sins. He came to save us from our sins. “But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”” (Matthew 1:20-21 NKJV) Luke 2:14 - There is peace on earth because sinful man finally has peace with God and we can have peace in our lives because God takes care of all our needs. ““Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”” (Luke 2:14 NKJV) 17 December 2017 - Live at Lakewood Church: The Secret to a Quality Life - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation ChurchJesus is not here just to be a Spectator in your life. He is here to meet your needs. We serve God because we have been served by Him. When someone allows Jesus to serve him, Jesus pours forth His goodness. If we don’t allow Jesus to serve us, we cannot flow with Him. It is not wrong to serve God, but if the heart is full of troubles and worries while serving, then it’s because that person has not been served by God. Martha was full of complaints whereas Mary allowed Jesus to serve her. How glad Jesus was to find someone that was willing to be served! The Christian life begins with you sitting down, resting in what has been done. We are rich because of the cross. Now that you are rich, act like it. Sow bountifully. Tithe to show that God is the source of your finances. You don’t have to tithe - you get to tithe. God never plays catch-up. What God does is in the invisible realm and it will manifest physically. What is of the flesh manifests quickly but is not comparable to what God does. Ishmael is of the flesh and he arrived first, but Isaac who is born of grace is better even though he took longer to be conceived. The devil always plays catch-up to what God is doing. If you can’t tell what God is doing, see what the devil is doing in your life, reverse it, and you’ll know what God is doing. Example: If the devil has placed sickness in your body, it’s because God has released health in your life. The people of the world only see what the devil is doing, but we need to see what God is doing behind the scenes. Don’t pray for God to move against what the devil is doing. We need to pray to see what God has done and declare it! Matthew 6:25 - The secret to a quality life and a healthy body is letting go of our worries. ““Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” (Matthew 6:25 NKJV) 10 December 2017 - Right Believing is the Secret to Overcoming Sin - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes OnlineWe bring great delight to our Heavenly Father. Do you have 'Pike Syndrome'? Quoted from Integrity Works Coaching: "The pike is a large fish that survives by eating smaller fish. An experiment was conducted years ago where the pike was placed in a large fish tank. Then several smaller fish were introduced into the tank, but separated from the pike by keeping them within in a large, bottomless, glass jar. The jar was submerged to the bottom of the tank, closing them off completely from the pike. Of course, the pike didn’t know this and immediately struck at the minnows. In fact, the pike hit the glass over and over until, frustrated and “conditioned”, it settled at the bottom, right next to the minnows. After a while, the jar was lifted, and the minnows swam all around the pike and throughout the large tank. And yet, the pike remained motionless. Indeed, the pike never tried again and died in that tank with its main source of food and survival right in front of it!" Have you been conditioned to wrongly believe a certain way about God? Luke 6:45 - Your life is a reflection of what you see and believe in your heart. When you change what you see with your spiritual eyes, your external life will also change. That’s why right believing will lead to right living. “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” (Luke 6:45 NKJV) Proverbs 4:20-23 - Keep visual images of God’s word in your heart. What do you believe about yourself and about God? What you believe will affect your life and your circumstances. Knowing and believing in the truth will set you free. “My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:20-23 NKJV) Revelation 12:9-11 - Satan is actually afraid of you, not because of you but because of who is in you. You are the child of the Most High God. You have the power to trample over the power of the enemy because of Christ in you. Every condemning thought in you is not from the Holy Spirit, it’s from the devil. The devil is the accuser of the brethren. The Holy Spirit convicts you of your righteousness, that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. “So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” (Revelation 12:9-11 NKJV) 3 December 2017 - Get What you Want through the Power of Imagination in your Heart - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineMary carried eternity in her arms. But at that time He was confined within time. There are people who say that Jesus wasn’t born on December 25, and most likely He was born around the time of the Feast of Tabernacles. But still, it’s alright to celebrate Christmas, as long as you remember that it’s about God sending His Son Jesus. It’s not about Santa Claus, it’s about Jesus Christ. Proverbs 4:20-23 - God’s word is not health to the world out there. It’s to all who find them. God’s word is health to ALL your flesh! Life and health are produced out of your heart. So are sickness and disease. Long before sickness manifests outwardly, it already existed in your heart. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things. It’s out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks. The heart is not your spirit. The Greek word for spirit is “pneuma” whereas the Greek word for heart is “cardia”. It’s not the same. Your heart is right at the center where your spirit and soul meet. It’s more important to understand how it works rather than where it is. God has put His name in your heart. If you dissect a heart, the cross-section is shaped like the Hebrew letter “shin” which looks like a tilted “W”. Your heart is the key to experiencing life and health. “My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:20-23 NKJV) Matthew 28:20 - The word “always” should be more precisely translated as “all the days”. The Lord says He is with us all the days of our life. “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” (Matthew 28:20 NKJV) When you are conscious of the Lord, you will be afraid of nothing. When you lose sight of the Lord, you may even despair of your life. When the Prophet Elijah when conscious that the Lord was with him, he could courageously stand in King Ahab’s court with Jezebel right there. When he lost sight of the Lord and became more conscious of Jezebel’s threats upon his life, he became fearful and fled from her. 26 November 2017 - The Strength of the Lord is Upon the Weak and Insignificant of the Earth - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineWhere two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, there He is in the midst of them. Two is the smallest plurality. We are not meant to live with just us and God. God’s dream is the church. The longest chapter in the Book of Genesis is about the church - where the servant is looking for a bride for Isaac. The church is not a building. The church is the people of God who believe in Jesus. The church is the most successful organization in the universe. God put Gold, silver and platinum out here on earth for the church. The treasures are for God’s children. God only corrects His own children. We correct our own children, not other’s children. There’s nothing easier to do than looking. Just look to Jesus for all your needs, even in your marriage. 19 November 2017 - Jesus Heals and Gives you Strength When you have None - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineSalvation from hell is a once and for all event in our lives. However, believing in God is a continuous thing we do - we keep putting our trust in Him again and again. Jesus is an ever-present Savior. He is saving us every day. Jesus is our present tense Savior. He is a very present help in trouble. The Lord Jesus is always at the point of your need. However the presence of the need doesn’t mean that Jesus will respond to the need. Sometimes people don’t want others to help them. We have to invite Jesus into our situation so that He can help us. Jesus becomes frustrated when He sees our need but cannot help us right away. It’s called the love of frustration. Spiritual growth means increasingly seeing your flaws and also increasingly seeing the Savior’s love for you. The Hebrew word for repentance is “Teshuva” which means “a return” - a return to God. As we become more spiritually-matured, we don’t become more self-reliant - that is an abomination. We should become even more reliant on God. |
