Tayo Station Review - Tayo the Little Bus Comes to E!Hub @ Downtown East Singapore

Tayo Station is a fun indoor playground! Tayo bus mascot made an appearance today! He will also appear for birthday parties and events held at Tayo Station.

It's time for a fun-filled ride~ My 2 year old daughter Maeleth was so excited to know that she's going for the Tayo Station Media Preview today that she slept early last night without fighting sleep. That's how much she was looking forward to checking out this new indoor playground in Singapore!

Tayo Station is located at E!Hub, Downtown East, 1 Pasir Ris Close, Level 3, S(519599).

I've always associated the Downtown East area with kids-friendly activities and a fun day out because of Wild Wild Wet and Escape Theme Park, so it's awesome to know that another cool kids venue has opened for business!

A wonderful indoor playground for fans of the Tayo the Little Bus animated series

Mae is a big fan of the Tayo animated series. She has watched all the episodes that are available on Netflix and she knows many of the names of the characters.

The four main little buses are: Tayo (Blue), Rogi (Green), Gani (Red), and Lani (Yellow). Lani is the only female one. Mae says that Rogi is her favorite!

I feel that kids who know about Tayo and who watch the animated series will be able to enjoy the indoor playground to the fullest.

Another group of children who would love this indoor playground are those who love vehicles. Tayo Station is after all, a vehicle-themed indoor playground for kids!

The place is decorated with familiar features that you can recogonize from the cartoon. I will be sharing photos we took of the various sections of this playground!

One of the staff brought us on a tour around Tayo Station. The first area we saw is a sitting area where parents and and children can relax and eat. Parents of older kids can also rest here while their children play nearby in the driving circuit. I like that Tayo animated series episodes are screened here to keep the little ones entertained.

Love Mae's smile here! The sitting area overlooks the road safety circuit. Can you see the wall mural which features the Merlion, the Art Science Museum, Marina Bay Sands Hotel and the Supertree Grove at Gardens by the Bay?

We enjoyed a catered lunch buffet (part of the Media Preview) in this resting area, and after that, Mae was happy to taste a Tayo themed cupcake!
Check out the beautiful Tayo themed desserts like macarons and cupcakes for this event! If you purchase a birthday party package for your child, these desserts will be included as well! Our favorite is the Tayo cupcake with the salted caramel buttercream frosting!

Kids can learn about road safety in this clever driving circuit

The next section is a driving circuit which reminds us of the Road Safety Park. In this area, your little one can learn about road safety, such as how to differentiate between the road signs in Singapore, rules for crossing the roads and driving in general.

This is my favorite part of Tayo Station as it's both fun and educational. What children learn here while playing could save their lives by teaching them how to be a safe pedestrian on the real streets of Singapore.

How the road safety educational aspect works: Tayo Station will give a short briefing before each Tayo circuit session. They will show a mini presentation of road safety rules, play a simple road safety game with the road safety sign blocks with the kids before letting them play in the circuit.

Additionally there will be a crew following them around the circuit enforcing road safety rules such as stop before a zebra crossing, watch out for pedestrians, and of course learn how to cross the road by following the red, amber and green lights on a dummy traffic light.

This will be a good opportunity for preschools to come for excursion classes to learn about road safety rules and regulations in Singapore.

Your child can choose his or her preferred vehicle to drive in the circuit. The adorable mini Tayo vehicle is only for kids under 3 years old.

Mae had lots of fun riding a red twist car which matches her outfit and playing in the workbench area nestled in a sheltered part of the circuit.

Burn off excess energy at the three-storey high playgym

Moving on, kids can also test their agility and endurance in a three-storey high playgym called "Gani's Playground". It was a challenge following and filming Mae with one hand while crawling through the obstacle course, but I managed to do it - for your viewing benefit of course!

Please do warm-ups before attempting to navigate this big playgym so as to avoid having muscle aches the next morning!

This is a great area for burning off that abundant energy so that your kids can nap well after playing. However, I'm not sure who will need the nap more - you or your child, haha!

There's also two slides in this playgym - one shorter steep slide, and one longer spiral slide. Both are super fun! Please carefully supervise your younger kids for both slides for their safety.

Three-stories high and looming over the playground, this obstacle course will put your child's (and yours) agility and endurance to the test, while working their muscles and improving their fitness.

Consider having a Tayo themed birthday party for your child

"Lani's Room" and "Rogi's Room" are event spaces where you can host birthday parties there for your child. Take a look at the setups that your child can expect to have - it's all very pretty and sure to delight little Tayo bus fans!

For rates and more details, kindly contact Tayo Station directly by phone at +65 6283 7900 or by email via [email protected]

My 3yo favourite character of Tayo series is Rogi. Because Rogi is green in colour which is her favourite colour! And also because Rogi is so funny and he is also the naughtiest.

My little one's favourite character is Rogi too. Because in her favourite episode entitled, "Rogi's special guest", Rogi did a special "Hula Hula" dance with his guest, Windy. She absolutely loves to shake to this funny dance!

Thanks for the great write up and the video was informative as we visited explorerkids previously a few times and wondered what has changed. Glad to see that some of the features have been kept such as the rock climbing wall and managed to take a peek on your video, I think I still see the long, wide slide by the side!? 😉

Of course, my kids loved Tayo as it was the 1st character that they chanced upon, few years back at Tayo show at Downtown East too!
