My Top 10 Peppa Pig Episodes with Powerful Life Lessons That May Help You to Raise a Champion Kid
As an full-time dad who admittedly loves and watches Peppa Pig episodes on Netflix with his child, I have had the time to watch the seasons through a few times and picked up some valuable life lessons in the episodes!
I know that many of you parents don't have the time to watch through these episodes (that time could be better used to complete other tasks right?) so I've specially done up this blog post just to help you out!
Inspired by my "5 Life Lessons" series of blog posts where I share 5 Life Lessons and moral value from movies and shows that I watched and love, below I share about my Top 10 Peppa Pig episodes that teach valuable life lessons to kids (and adults)!
I have also spent some time to carefully select high-quality and fun Peppa Pig products and toys that your little one would most likely love, and included product links to them in this post!
My daughter is currently in love with her Peppa Pig doll which also doubles up as a backpack!
Without further ado, here we go:
#10) Season 2, Episode 11: "Recycling"
This Peppa Pig episode teaches kids about what recycling is, how to separate the different materials for recycling and the actual dumping of the items into recycling bins as well!
To raise an environmentally-friendly child and have them play a part in conserving our earth's resources, let them watch this Peppa Pig episode.
#9) Season 3, Episode 47: "Pottery"
I learnt a lot from this Peppa Pig episode because I knew almost nothing about pottery.
This episode teaches kids what pottery is, demonstrates how to do simple pottery, and shows fun ways to express their creativity through pottery!
If you want to encourage your child to pick up this special art form, show them this informative Peppa Pig episode.
#8) Season 2, Episode 29: "Painting"
This Peppa Pig Episode teaches kids about painting on a canvas.
It explains all the items required for painting and I love that it teaches useful tips like how yellow and blue becomes green when mixed, and also how red and green mixes to form brown.
Did some of you not know the latter? I didn't!
Want to raise a child with an interest in art? Let him/her watch this Peppa Pig episode!
#7) Season 3, Episode 4: "The Library"
This Peppa Pig episode teaches kids about what a library is, how they can borrow interesting books at a library, and the importance of returning what is borrowed on time (it was super funny when the machine beeped super loud after scanning the book that Daddy Pig borrowed!).
If you want your child to become a responsible person who has a love for reading, show them this Peppa Pig episode.
#6) Season 3, Episode 40: "Shake, Rattle and Bang"
This Peppa Pig episode teaches kids about making music, different types of instruments, rhythm and how music is fun!
I especially enjoyed the cool remixed instrumental version of the Peppa Pig theme at the end of the episode (it was quite an 'earworm'!).
There are quite a lot of instruments and their corresponding sounds demonstrated in this episode so one of them may interest your child to learn how to play that particular instrument.
To encourage the sense and love for music and instruments, show them this Peppa Pig episode.
Who knows, your child may be inspired to become the next musical prodigy indirectly because of it!
#5) Season 3, Episode 44: "Chloe's Big Friends"
This Peppa Pig episode teaches kids that it's okay to have fun playing what they love, and to admit that it's fun and not be ashamed of it.
Although Peppa Pig's older cousin Chloe and Chloe's friends are teenagers, they still have lots of fun playing the childlike games that Peppa introduces to them. Their "playing it cool" exterior totally disappears as they relax and play with Peppa Pig!
In the growing up years there's a lot of peer pressure to fit in and be "cool", and a child may end up acting a certain way just because he/she sees everyone doing it.
To raise a child who is confident in his/her individuality, authentic and who dares to stand out when everyone else just conforms, show them this Peppa Pig episode!
#4) Season 3, Episode 24: "Numbers"
This Peppa Pig episode teaches kids about what numbers are, their purpose, and how to count from 1 to 10. Isn't this what parents want for their children?
As a dad to a 17 months old girl, I know that's what I want her to learn at this point of time!
I like how the counting is demonstrated in different fun ways and how it is applied in real-life to Peppa Pig and her friends, showing that numbers are useful to kids.
If you want your young child to learn about numbers, then you should show them this Peppa Pig episode, perhaps on repeat!
#3) Season 2, Episode 43: "The Quarrel"
This Peppa Pig episode teaches kids about the value of saying sorry quickly after a quarrel.
It shows how both Peppa Pig and Suzy Sheep are suffering while they are purposely not talking to each other.
A cold war with your loved one or best friend is definitely painful for yourself and the other party. No one wins in such a situation.
Let your child watch this Peppa Pig episode if you want him/her learn to be forgiving and not have a problem with ego.
#2) Season 3, Episode 23: "Funfair"
This Peppa Pig episode is my favorite portrayal of Mummy Pig because it's super funny when she becomes provoked and competitive after each person says that she cannot win.
This episode teaches kids that instead of easily giving up when someone says that something is impossible, they should rise up to the challenge and do it anyway.
The last part of the episode when Peppa Pig shares all her giant teddy bears is also a powerful teaching point.
Instead of hoarding all the prizes for herself, she generously shares her blessings with her friends.
If you want to raise a confident and generous child who believes that anything is possible, show them this wonderful Peppa Pig episode!
#1) Season 3, Episode 42: "Chatterbox"
This is my favorite Peppa Pig episode, not because it teaches the most powerful life lessons, but because Peppa Pig at her CUTEST in this episode!!
Her facial expressions and voice combined produce such a potently-adorable combo!
This episode teaches kids that something that people make fun of can turn out to be a strength and advantage instead of a weakness.
Peppa's love for talking gets her teased by Suzy Sheep, but Daddy Pig wisely shifts Peppa's perspective by telling her that she is an expert at talking (her weakness immediately becomes a skill!).
I believe that if a child learns this powerful life lesson from this Peppa Pig episode, they may become immune to bullying because they will see a strength where people see a weakness. They will have a winner's mindset!
