15 Gospel Truths for New Christians - A Beginner's Guide for Believers

Firstly, congratulations on being born-again as a child of God!
Being a new Christian can be both exciting and confusing.
You know that something good has happened — you just sense it somehow, but you’re not sure how everything works.

I’m not saying that this guide covers everything you need to know, but this will get you off on a good start, to point you in the right direction.

The Bible is a book containing God’s words. Men living in different eras and different locations wrote different parts of this book.
The whole Bible although having so many different authors, is a cohesive whole that agrees and tallies throughout.

Back then without the internet or widely accessible records, it was impossible in the natural for the different authors to know what their predecessors wrote.

Seeing how the whole Bible flows as one narrative is miraculous, and proves that the words in it were inspired by God Himself.

I won’t include too many Bible verses as you’re a new believer, but just some important ones that I feel are crucial and bite-sized enough for you to digest at this early point in your journey as a Christian.

Okay, let’s begin!

Righteousness by Faith

“For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

When you said a prayer to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you instantly received the gift of righteousness, which means that you are now on good terms with God.
He’s no longer angry with you because of your sins and you’re permanently enjoying the favor and blessings of God.

You once owed God a huge sin debt in the past that you couldn’t repay, but Jesus died on a cross more than 2000 years ago, in the outskirts of Jerusalem, for this very reason: to pay the price for all the sins of the world.

Jesus is the Son of God who willingly became a Man, through being born by a Jewish virgin girl named Mary, so that He could suffer and die in your place at the right time.
Being the Son of God, His sacrifice is perfectly pleasing and acceptable to God.
Why did Jesus choose to do that? Because He loves you and didn’t want you to die in your sins.

God is holy and no sinner can enter His presence. The consequence of sin is death and separation from God.

God created man with a spirit which is eternal — your spirit lives on forever even after your mortal body expires.
Therefore your spirit must be housed somewhere.

The spirits of people who are made righteous by believing in Jesus during their lifetime are housed in heaven. This is called eternal life: to know God the Father and Jesus.

The spirits of people who died in their sins are not able to enter God’s presence and are tormented in Hell, which is a fiery prison below the earth.

If Jesus had not suffered God’s punishment and died for us, all of us would be doomed to suffer in hell because we are all sinners.

That being said, Heaven and Hell are not the final destinations for all spirits.

Righteous spirits will dwell in a city calledthe New Jerusalem on a newly created earth in eternity, while unbelievers' spirits will be tormented in the lake of fire -- even Hell will be thrown into the lake of fire.

Loved by your Heavenly Father

“And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!” So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” ‭‭(Galatians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭WEB)

The mystery of God is that He is one God, but in three Persons: The Father, The Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit.

God loves you. You were once separated from the Heavenly Father because of your sins, but because you have received the gift of righteousness, you have been reconciled to Him.

He lives in heaven, which is located above the earth. From there, He governs all of Creation.
Sometimes He is just refer to as God instead of Heavenly Father.

You are now a child of God, and God the Father is your Abba (Daddy). He is a loving Father who provides for all your needs, watches over you, protects you, and trains you to become as perfect as Jesus.

Jesus Your Perfect High Priest

“(for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by him that says of him, “The Lord swore and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.’” By so much, Jesus has become the collateral of a better covenant. Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death. But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable. Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.” ‭‭(Hebrews‬ ‭7:21-25‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Jesus is the Son of God who died for all your sins. After He died, because He is totally sinless and perfect in all His thoughts and deeds, death had no power over Him.

Jesus died on the cross on a Friday, spent a whole day buried in a tomb on Saturday, and rose from the dead on Sunday.

He rose from the dead, proving that He is sinless and that all our sins have really been paid for. Jesus will never die again — He lives forever in a glorified spiritual body.

After He rose from the dead, He was received back into heaven and is currently seated on a throne at the right hand of our Heavenly Father.

What is Jesus doing in heaven now? A high priest represents the people before God, and God assesses His people’s righteousness by looking at the righteousness of the high priest.
If the high priest is holy, then the people are also considered holy.

Because Jesus is righteous, perfect and holy, God also sees you as righteous, perfect and holy.

Jesus also represents you before your Heavenly Father and prays for you and declares blessings upon you.
He prays for you so that you will have a good future.

The Indwelling of the Holy Spirit

“Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” ‭‭(1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:19-20‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The Holy Spirit is Jesus’ Spirit. Unlike Jesus who has only one body and is only able to be at one place at any one time, the Holy Spirit is omnipresent.

This means that the Holy Spirit is able to be in heaven and in multiple locations all over the world at the same time.

When Jesus was received back into heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit down to earth to dwell inside us, to be our permanent Guide and Helper.

As Jesus is no longer on earth to teach us the ways of God, the Holy Spirit does this, and He reminds us that we are still righteous children of God even when we fall into sin.
He will guide us out of wrong believing and teach us what is the truth.

When you first believed in Jesus, the Holy Spirit merged with your human spirit and is now one with your spirit.
He lives inside you forever, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Because the Holy Spirit is omnipresent, He is indwelling all Christians on earth now at the same time. Isn’t that amazing?

The Holy Spirit reminds you from within about God’s truths and also helps you in all matters in life.
The way He speaks to you is very natural, almost like you are having the thought yourself, like it suddenly dropped into your mind and heart.

He also leads you by the peace you feel in your heart. By default, you are at peace. But when that peace is suddenly disturbed, it means that the Holy Spirit is restraining you from making a decision.

It really helps to have God guiding you from within because He is not just omnipresent, He is also omniscient (all-knowing) and omnipotent (all-powerful).

The Holy Spirit who is both in heaven and on earth at the same time receives wisdom and knowledge from your Heavenly Father and Jesus, and communicates it to you.

He can warn you about potential dangers that lie ahead in the future before they even happen, so that you can avoid them now.

He can urge you to make a right decision so that you will enjoy the benefits of it and be blessed.

He is also the most powerful Spirit in existence, so all evil spirits (demons) are no match for Him. All demons are afraid of Him who lives inside you.

Demons are the angels who rebelled against God and became evil spirits who were banished to earth. They will be thrown into the lake of fire to suffer forever at the end of time.

Salvation Cannot Be Lost

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭10:27-29‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Just as you received the gift of righteousness by faith, apart from your deeds, you cannot lose this righteousness by your evil deeds either.

You have been permanently and irreversibly saved and will never be eternally separated from God.

You will also never be punished by God for your sins because Jesus already suffered that punishment for you at the cross.
God being a righteous God cannot punish the same sin twice.

Since He already punished all your sins (past, present and future sins) in Jesus’ body, He will not be righteous if He punishes you again because of them.

This is why Christianity is the Gospel (means Good News). If our salvation was based on our own goodness, we would all surely fail.

Thankfully, it is not based on our obedience, but is entirely based on receiving this salvation as a gift by simply believing in Jesus.

If you truly understand how merciful and loving God is to have done this for us, you will not want to sin anymore.
You will want to thank Him by living a life that brings glorifies Him.

Being a new Christian can be both exciting and confusing. You know that something good has happened -- you just sense it somehow, but you’re not sure how everything works.I’m not saying that this Biblical guide covers everything you need to know, but this will get you off on a good start, to point you in the right direction for your faith.

Satan: The Enemy of Your Soul

“The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” ‭‭(Revelation‬ ‭20:10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

You may be wondering, if God is so good and loving, then why are so many bad things happening in the world today?

Children are dying from starvation and diseases in third-world countries, natural disasters are happening everywhere, and people are suffering in so many ways.

These calamities are not caused by God.

I’m sure you’ve heard of “the devil” whose name is Satan. He is a demon — one of the angels that rebelled against God in Heaven.

He was originally created by God as one of the three holy, powerful archangels. He was called Lucifer. All angels were created with free will.

Lucifer allowed pride to enter his heart and wanted to be greater than God. Lucifer led one-third of all created angels in a rebellion against God.

Lucifer and his angels lost the battle against God and His holy angels. For their rebellion, they were cast out of heaven onto the earth.
They ceased to be holy angels and became corrupted demons instead. Lucifer became Satan, the devil. From then on, he became the leader over all demons.

God created mankind in His own image and loves them.
He made man to rule over the earth, while angels were created to serve God and man.

When God first made man, He gave him free will: the ability to choose.
The first man’s name is Adam. God put Adam in a beautiful, luscious garden on a earth called the Garden of Eden.

It was filled with friendly living creatures and all kind of wonderful plants, including fruit trees.

Adam was free to do anything he wanted, and eat from any tree in the garden except for one tree.

God also created a woman to be Adam’s partner, and Adam called her Eve.

In order for free will to be real, there must be a choice that man can make.

God commanded Adam not to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, and that if Adam ate from it, he would  surely die.

Satan learnt that and quickly seized on that opportunity to hurt God’s beloved creation and usurp power for himself.

Satan tempted Eve into eating the fruit from the tree that God forbade man to eat from.
Eve gave some of that fruit to Adam who also ate.
The moment Adam ate it, he became spiritually separated from God.
He was spiritually dead because of the sin he committed.

Death entered the world from then on, and that’s why we see sickness, aging, and death.

Not only that, because God had appointed man to be the ruler of earth, the whole earth became corrupted after Adam sinned.
That’s why we see all sorts of natural disasters happening, and why there are hostile living creatures that will harm and even kill mankind.
They were all corrupted because of Adam’s sin.

Because Adam obeyed the devil’s temptation, Adam became the devil’s slave and the rulership of the earth was handed to the devil.
Satan is still the ruler of this world but he will be dethroned and punished in the lake of fire in at the end of time.

So we see that evil exists in the world today because of the one that first sinned: the devil. It all began with him.

Satan wasn’t created as evil, but he used his free will to choose to rebel against God.

Satan is still doing all sorts of evil things on earth. He hates God and still believes that he can find a way to return to heaven and usurp God’s throne.

Satan hurts mankind because God loves man. By hurting us, he is indirectly hurting God.
God is grieved for every person that dies without being reconciled to Him.

God doesn’t want man to go to hell, but He is righteous, and righteousness demands that the consequence of sin is death.

So you have an enemy, and his name is Satan. The good news is that he has no real power over you, and the Holy Spirit inside you is much more powerful than Satan and the demons who are in the world.

Satan is doomed to fail. He is a loser and has always been destined to lose.
Don’t be afraid of him — he is afraid of what you can do when you know the truth!

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

“I indeed baptize you in water for repentance, but he who comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Baptism means “to immerse”. When you first believed in Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to permanently live inside you, but the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (let’s call it “Spirit Baptism” for short) is a separate thing.

Spirit Baptism is when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, immersing you in Himself.

During this process, the Holy Spirit empowers you with spiritual gifts (kind of like superpowers).
There are nine spiritual gifts in total and they are all miraculous in nature.

You can read more about these gifts in this post.

If you want to receive the Spirit Baptism, I want to impart it to you.
Please speak and believe this prayer wherever you are now:

“Dear Heavenly Father, I receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit right now. Immerse me in the Holy Spirit and distribute the Holy Spirit’s spiritual gifts to me. I believe and receive this in Jesus’ name, Amen!”

You may or may not feel any noticeable change, but if you believed that, then you have received the Spirit Baptism, and the Holy Spirit has distributed spiritual gifts to you.

From now on, you have been equipped with God’s power and are activated to move in the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit.

God will send people to teach you about these gifts and how to operate in them, or the Holy Spirit inside you will teach you directly.

Water Baptism

“Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭28:18-19‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Jesus commanded Christians to be baptized in water.
This is not a requirement for salvation, but it holds special blessings for those who go through it.

During water baptism, you will be immersed in water, symbolizing partaking of Jesus’ death when you go underwater, and partaking of His resurrection when you emerge from the water.
Of course, the above has already happened to you spiritually when you first believed in Jesus.

Have you ever heard of the story of Moses parting the Red Sea? Many years ago, God saved a nation of people called “the children of Israel” out of slavery in Egypt.

He chose that nation to be His special people, and made a covenant (agreement or contract) with them that He will be their God and that they will be His people.

When God led the children of Israel out of Egypt, He brought them to the edge of the Red Sea, so as to demonstrate His power before their eyes.

Pharaoh (the King of Egypt) and his armies pursued the children of Israel, but God miraculously parted the Red Sea for the children of Israel.
They crossed over on dry land, and on their left and right were two walls of water raised up high in the sky.

After the children of Israel had all crossed over to the shore on the other side of the Red Sea, God closed the Red Sea upon Pharaoh and his armies, drowning them all.

“Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;” ‭‭(1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:1-2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

This crossing through the Red Sea represents water baptism. So one of the blessings that you will experience after doing this, is that the spiritual enemies (demons) who are harassing you will be utterly defeated.

Maybe those demons are trying very hard to keep you bound in sickness, depression, addiction or some sort of suffering that is not God’s will for your life.

You may never experience victory over those specific enemies if you don’t get water baptized, but you are still saved from Hell.

Most local churches will hold water baptisms periodically, so I highly encourage you to get water baptized if you can.
Everything that Jesus commands us to do is for our own benefit!

Boldness in Prayer

“Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.” ‭‭(James‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Prayer is simply talking to God. In the past before you believed in Jesus, God didn’t heed your prayers because you were separated from Him because of your sins.

Now that you have received the gift of righteousness, God hears your prayers and your prayers have influence with God.

Don’t hesitate to talk to your Heavenly Father, Jesus or the Holy Spirit because God loves you and is on your side.

He loves it when you involve Him in every situation in your life.
He is most willing to help you, just as a good father wants to help his child who is in need.

He will grant you with whatever you ask Him for, as long as it’s beneficial for you.
If He says no to your request, it’s because He has planned something even better for you.

Trust that your omniscient, omnipotent God is able to give you much more and much better than you can think or imagine on your own!

For an in-depth teaching on prayer, read this article that I wrote.

The Holy Communion

“For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread. When he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me.” In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” ‭‭(1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:23-26‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

On the night before Jesus died on the cross, He instituted a special meal for Christians to remember His death at the cross.

When we partake of this meal, God has designed it that there are blessings for us to receive such as health and healing.
It is the best and most beneficial food we can ever eat.
You can eat this meal anywhere at anytime, as often as you want to.

This meal is called “The Holy Communion” or “The Lord’s Supper”. The Holy Communion comprises two types of food: bread and wine.
It doesn’t have to be exact because it’s symbolic.
You can replace bread with a small biscuit instead, and a red-colored fruit juice or drink can be consumed in place of wine.

The bread and wine each represent something that Jesus accomplished for us at the cross.

The bread represents Jesus’ body that was broken for our healing.
Before He was suspended on the cross, He was severely beaten with many strokes by a cruel Roman-invented whip called a “flagellum” or “cat o’ nine tails”.

Basically it had nine cords with sharp fragments at the end of each cord that attached itself to the victim’s flesh with every stroke.
When the attacker pulled the whip back, the victim’s flesh would be ripped out together with the sharp fragments.

Jesus suffered that, and the cruelty of crucifixion.
He also bore all sorts of sicknesses and weaknesses, and worst of all: the fiery wrath of God was poured out upon Him.

Because Jesus body was “broken” this way, we have been redeemed from every kind of sickness and disease.
We have the right to freely receive healing and be healthy today because Jesus paid the price for it.

The wine represents Jesus’ blood that was shed for us so that we can receive forgiveness of sins.
In order for sin to be forgiven, a death must take place.
God has designed it such that the life of a creature is contained in its blood.

The shedding of blood represents the loss of a life.
Without the shedding of blood, sins cannot be forgiven.

Because Jesus is the Son of God, the blood that He shed at the cross is infinitely valuable and a huge overpayment for our sin debt.

As Jesus is the eternal God who came to earth in the flesh, the blood that He shed has eternal quality.
This is why Jesus’ shed blood can pay for the sins of the whole world throughout the whole passage of time — past, present and future — all sins have been paid by His shed blood.

What Jesus did for us was more than enough to make us righteous, and there is much leftover for us to righteously receive God’s blessings as gifts paid for by Jesus’ shed blood.

Even though Jesus paid for all the sins of the world, the benefit of this payment can only be enjoyed when one receives Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

If a person rejects Jesus and dies in his sins, imagine the greatness of his sins. Essentially he has made Jesus suffer in his place for nothing.

The greatest thing you can do to honor Jesus for His sacrifice is to boldly receive the full benefits of what He accomplished at the cross: forgiveness of sins, healing, and all other blessings were all righteously paid for by Jesus at the cross.

Eat the Holy Communion knowing that the bread is for healing and the wine is for a reminder that your sins are already forgiven, and you will enjoy the benefits of this meal.

The Anointing Oil

“It will happen in that day, that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.” ‭‭(Isaiah‬ ‭10:27‬ ‭WEB‬)

“Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” ‭‭(James‬ ‭5:14-15‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The anointing oil represents the Holy Spirit. The first anointing oil that God instructed Israel to produce was made of olive oil.

Olive oil comes from crushing olives. This process of crushing olives is a picture of Jesus crushed at the cross because of our sins.
After Jesus returned to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit down to earth — the Holy Spirit is the olive oil that resulted from the crushing of the olive.

The anointing (the Holy Spirit) is what destroys the power of any bondage or addiction in your life. Anointing oil carries God’s power.

Today we can make anointing oil simply by praying over a bottle of oil (doesn’t have to be olive, but olive is preferable because of the symbolism).

When we pray by faith over the oil to specially set it apart for God’s purposes, it becomes a holy anointing oil.

You could pray like this: “In Jesus’ name, I declare that this bottle of olive oil is made holy, set apart to God as anointing oil. Let the power to heal and break all bondages be upon this oil, and that whatever this oil touches will experience God’s power. Amen!”

Now you can use your bottle of anointing oil as desired. Apply some when you pray for yourself or others to receive healing. God’s power is present in it to set people free!

Settle in a Grace-Based Local Church

“Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.” ‭‭(Hebrews‬ ‭10:24-25‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The Christian life isn’t meant to be lived alone. God’s word tells us not to forsake our gathering together as fellow Christians.

Don’t be mistaken that the church is a building.
No, the church is the individual as well as collective group of Christians.
You are a member of the church, and so are everyone else who believes in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Christians gather not just to hear a preacher talking about God’s word, not just to sing praise and worship songs to God, but to have an encounter with Him and receive from Him directly.

What you hear and thereby believe is extremely important.
You need to be attending a church that preaches the true Gospel which essentially is this: God the Father sent His only beloved Son Jesus to die on a cross to pay for the sins of the world.
Jesus was buried in a tomb and rose again on the third day.
Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we can receive forgiveness of all our sins by having faith in Jesus.

After receiving this forgiveness, we are made righteous forever in Him.
We didn’t become righteous by our right living or by good works, so neither can we lose this righteousness by sinning it away.
We are irreversibly and irrevocably saved.

Righteousness is a gift to be received by faith, not a reward to be earned by your works or efforts.

Looking Forward to the Rapture

“But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left to the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” ‭‭(1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:13-18‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

As Christians, we are not to be looking forward to death.
Death is already a thing of the past because we have spiritually shared in Jesus’ death and resurrection when we first believed in Him.

We are resurrected beings who have eternal life.
If Christians pass away, they are not dead. The Bible calls it “falling asleep” because it is temporary and they will awaken in their bodies again at a future event popularly termed “the Rapture of the saints” (Rapture) since the Bible doesn’t actually name the event — it just describes it.

No one knows when the Rapture will happen, except for our Heavenly Father.

At the Rapture, our current mortal bodies will be transformed to become immortal, glorified bodies that are not limited by the natural laws of this world.

In our new bodies, we won’t experience sickness, aging, tiredness, or any symptoms of Death.
We will be forever young, beautiful, and strong because the new bodies don’t have any trace of sin in them — ugliness and defects came into the world as a result of Adam’s original sin.

The Rapture will happen suddenly without warning, so quickly that the Bible describes it as “in the twinkling of an eye”.

At the sound of the last trumpet, all Christians who have “fallen asleep” will be raised from the dead first, and then all Christians will be caught up into the air to meet Jesus in the clouds, and we will all be brought into heaven to be with our Heavenly Father and Jesus forever.

The Rapture is what we should be looking forward to in this lifetime.
We ought to live with an excitement and confident hope that Jesus will be returning for us very soon.

Eternal Rewards

““Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭6:19-21‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Now that you are irreversibly saved and have been totally liberated because of Jesus, you are now free to do good works so as to glorify God by the way you live your life.

What’s better than the temporary blessings you can experience in this lifetime is the eternal rewards being stored up for you in heaven.

Every time you do a good work for Jesus in sincerity and faith, such as praying, fasting, giving to the needy, sharing the Gospel with others so that they can be saved too, you are accumulating eternal rewards that will improves the quality of your joy and happiness in eternity.

Some rewards include positions of honor, authority over cities, an honorable crown of life, a new name that only you and God knows, and lots more that God hasn’t revealed in the Bible — it will be a pleasant surprise!

Read my book “Sandcastles Don’t Last Forever” to learn how you can maximize your eternal rewards, live a worthy & purposeful life, the way that God will judge the living and the dead, and more!

Grow in God’s Word

“Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” ‭‭(2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The Bible says that as you grow in the knowledge of God and Jesus, more Grace (the unmerited favor of God) and peace (wellness, wholeness, health and prosperity) will be multiplied to you.

As a new believer, it is not advisable for you to read the Bible on your own unguided.
As your foundational knowledge is not firmly established, you’re not ready to read God’s word alone yet.
If you really want to read it yourself first, I highly recommend starting with the Book of Romans and then reading the Gospel of John.

These two books in the Bible will help to establish you in the Covenant of God’s Grace which we are under, and you will get to see Jesus and learn more about Him and what He did while He was on earth.

Sandcastles Don't Last Forever

$14.99 $9.99

This is the eBook version.

If you prefer to get the Paperback version (physical copy), you can get it on Amazon here for US$15.

About the Book:

One day when I was singing praises to God, an image floated up in my spirit: a big and beautiful sandcastle being washed away by the waves from the sea. God was teaching me the futility of holding tightly onto worldly possessions because like the sandcastle, they won't last, and one day will cease to exist.

He taught me from His word to focus on Him and by doing so, I would reap great eternal rewards before Jesus' throne at the start of the Millennium. These rewards will last forever and can't be destroyed or stolen.

It is my prayer that the revelations in this book will help you to live with a focus on the things above where God is, fulfill your God-given calling in life, be happier and to accumulate more eternal rewards to your account.

In this Book, you will learn about:

- Heavenly investment advice and the futility of worldly pursuits from a trillionaire in the Bible

- Why God has to reward us in order to be righteous

- When and how God will destroy the current earth and sky to make way for new ones

- The types of fireproof works that earn eternal rewards at the end of time

- The abundant rewards of doing good works while abiding by the non-disclosure agreement between God and you

- The difference between the temporary places of torment: Sheol and Abaddon

- Who is the Antichrist and his name revealed in the Bible

- What is the Mark of the Beast and why it disqualifies its recipients from receiving salvation

- The different judgments at the throne of Jesus Christ and what it means for you as a believer

- How to fulfill your calling and maximize your gifts to receive the best eternal rewards

Testimonials about the contents of this book:

"Sandcastles Don't Last Forever is very well written, its message loud and clear. Milton Goh gives common-sense insight on often confusing Scripture, which is much appreciated in these troubled times. My understanding of the Bible has definitely improved."

- Mike Garrett, first Editor/ Publisher for Stephen King and Author of Christian Novel "Innocence Denied", from USA

"This book is absolutely breathtaking. We don't work to be saved but were created to do good works. I am so energized and excited to know God values our works and we will be rewarded. This is all Glory to Jesus... I cant wait to throw my crowns at his feet and thank him for saving my life!" - Evangelist Michael Clark from USA

"Dear Milton Goh, I truly thank our Abba, Father for the revelations in this book. It is so amazing how I begin to discover important verses in the Bible that I have never read. That instead of following riches, with sleepless nights, and actually shortening our lives, we are just to 'Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ', and 'Love one another'. How beautiful to find out that actually in the Bible there is both 'Earthly or Worldly Investment Wisdom' and 'Eternal Investment Wisdom' according to the revelations here from Ecclesiastes 5:14-17 WEB)!; “It seems like Solomon was not only wise at earning material riches but also at earning eternal riches.” All the glory to our Lord Jesus Christ! God bless you Milton Goh for such a wonderful book!" - Nitta Nierra from Belgium

“Thank you Milton. I have just finished reading “Sandcastles Don’t Last Forever”. It’s such a good book that's filled with God's word. I love it very much. Might read again if I have the time. Thanks so much!” - Mally Chai from Singapore

"I'm reading this book and loving it! The revelations of the Gospel truth shared and it's life applications are absolutely amazing! I give glory to the Lord Jesus for my dear brother Milton for this exceptional resource. I'm gonna keep feeding on its contents and believe God for supernatural breakthroughs as my mind is renewed in Christ!" - Terence from Tombel, Cameroon

“Excellent book!! I enjoyed reading it so much and definitely recommend it! Milton is so gifted and all his teachings have blessed me tremendously! I thank God for people like him. Get this book, it will be worth it!” - Madeleine from SA, “Unmerited Favor” tier patron

Quote: "The Holy Spirit is Jesus’ Spirit. Unlike Jesus who has only one body and is only able to be at one place at any one time, the Holy Spirit is omnipresent.

This means that the Holy Spirit is able to be in heaven and in multiple locations all over the world at the same time."

If God is omnipresent (Psalm 139:7-9),
and Jesus is fully God (Titus 2:13-4/ Colossians 2:9-10),
why do you say that Jesus can not be omnipresent?

Where in the Bible does it ever say Jesus is limited by His resurrected body?

Hi Axl,

Every time the resurrected Jesus appears in the Bible, He’s always shown as appearing bodily in one place, and never in more than one place at any one moment.

If you can, please show me from the Bible that He ever appeared at two or more places at once.

One more thing, Jesus must remain in Heaven until the catching away of (Rapture) of the church. He doesn’t travel between Heaven and earth today.

“and that He may send [to you] Jesus, the Christ, who has been appointed for you, whom heaven must keep until the time for the [complete] restoration of all things about which God promised through the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.” ‭‭(ACTS‬ ‭3:20-21‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

Based on Jewish marriage customs, Jesus is now the Bridegroom who is excitedly waiting to receive His bride (the church) back to a honeymoon room that He built in His Father’s house (Heaven) for the private honeymoon (Rapture) and wedding (marriage of the Lamb — Revelation 19:6-8).

Before a Jewish wedding, the bride and bridegroom don’t meet each other for a week, to keep holy and build the anticipation for the moment when they finally meet for the wedding.

When the Bible says God, it can refer to the triune God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). The one that is omnipresent is the Holy Spirit.

1- Quote: "Every time the resurrected Jesus appears in the Bible, He’s always shown as appearing bodily in one place, and never in more than one place at any one moment."

How about 1 Cor 15:6? "After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren AT ONCE, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep."

Given the persecutions of Christians at that time, unlikely the 500 were gathered together to do a conference.

In any case, your argument is akin to saying, "I haven't seen a Ferrari moving at 200 mph, so it must not be able to reach that speed."

Again, this is not difficult to figure out: God is omnipotent, omniscience and omnipresent. Jesus is (and still!) fully God. He did not cease to be God when He took on human form. As God, He will always have the attributes of God. Whether He chooses to exercise His power is one thing, but the point is: He is not limited by anything and He can CHOOSE to be omnipresent if He wants.

Even before He went the cross,

- He refused to turn rocks into bread (Matthew 4:3-4) but could turn water into wine (John 2:1-11).
- He allowed Himself to be arrested instead of calling on 12 legions of angels to aid Him (Matthew 26:53-54).
- He kept Himself from knowing the time of His return (Matthew 24:36) but the disciples acknowledged He knows all things (John 16:30/ John 21:17).

So why would anyone think He could not make Himself be everywhere at the same time… should He choose to do it?

2- Quote: "One more thing, Jesus must remain in Heaven until the catching away of (Rapture) of the church.

I am not sure if you noticed it yourself, but even if what you wrote is accurate (but I think the reasoning is not), they say nothing about Jesus INABILITY to be omnipresent. As I say, He can CHOOSE not to be. He is not limited because of a phyiscal body.

And that is because He is fully God!

3: Quote: "When the Bible says God, it can refer to the triune God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). The one that is omnipresent is the Holy Spirit."

But you are basically saying the other 2 persons of the Trinity CANNOT do the thing that one of them can do... even though they are the same God?

“But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless.” (‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I would say what we are doing is having foolish disputes and contentions.

Since you’re well-versed in the Bible, why not use it to edify believers and evangelize to the lost? That’s a better use of your time and more rewarding isn’t it?

Quote: "I would say what we are doing is having foolish disputes and contentions."

No, I would say not. In fact, when it comes to doctrine, Paul told Titus to sharply rebuke those that were believing and teaching the wrong things.

Quote: "Since you’re well-versed in the Bible, why not use it to edify believers and evangelize to the lost? That’s a better use of your time and more rewarding isn’t it?"

Thanks for the compliment, but I would not dare say I am well-versed. I just know enough to recognize questionable teachings when I see them.

And frankly, writing these comments doesn't really take up too much time. I don't really need to think long and hard. The things are pretty obvious for anyone with a basic understanding of the Bible.

But I will take the time to make sure whatever I share with others are based firmly on the Bible and on proper principles of Bible interpretations. Trying to "edify" and "evangelize" with errors is really doing more harm than good... both to the people and yourself.

Frankly, if you are just another blogger who blogs about his own opinions of the Bible, no matter how wrong or weird, I am totally fine with that.

BUT... the thing is, you are constantly using the name of Pastor Prince (and even his image) in your page and embedding your own posts inside his sermon notes. You are basically intentionally or unintentionally misleading people into thinking Pastor Prince endorse your so-called "teaching" and to boost your following.

I find that very questionable. (Especially when you are even getting the basic stuff wrong.)

I am pretty sure you won't be replying to this (but you are welcomed to prove me wrong).

Hi Axl,

If you feel that what I’m doing is not right, then pray for God to remove the favor and just let Him take action.

Use Gamaliel’s wisdom. If it’s not of God, it will not have favor and will die out by itself.

If it’s of God, no one can withstand it because they’ll be found to be fighting against Him.

If you’re kind, then you’ll be praying for me that I will receive true revelations and use this platform for good.

It’s rare to discuss with a believer like you who has more knowledge of the Bible than people usually do, so I’m glad to know you!

Hi Milton,

My English may not be fantastic, but I still can read between the lines.

Quote: "If you feel that what I’m doing is not right, then pray for God to remove the favor and just let Him take action."

In short, you are saying you will not
change, and only God can judge you.

Seriously, I am sure God will take care of this. Though maybe you should consider that God loves you enough to give you warnings before anything more serious.

After all, better an open rebuke than love concealed.

Quote: "If it’s of God, no one can withstand it because they’ll be found to be fighting against Him."

Trust me, I have met many people who think the things they do are of God, but they failed the test of the Bible.

If it does not correspond with the Word of God, it's not of God.

Quote: "If you’re kind, then you’ll be praying for me that I will receive true revelations and use this platform for good."

Of course, the implication is that I am being unkind by writing to you. I should just keep silent and pray in one corner, but too bad, I believe in Proverbs 27:5.

And also, rather than waiting for people to pray that you receive "true revelations", maybe you should start by examining yourself first.

Did you do really receive your revelation by the Holy Spirit or by your own understanding? Did you really know proper hermeneutics? Did you really examine all the relevant arguments and teaching of the subject at hand?

Maybe it's true. Most people will probably just amen or like any writing that remotely looks Christian. And that's all the more important that you need hold yourself to a higher standard Bible interpretation.

Frankly, I am under no illusion you will accept what I said. No problem.
