Breaking Bondages Through the Passover Lamb

Breaking Addictions: How to Make Pharaoh Finally Let you Go from Bondage in Egypt

Read more original devotionals like this one and get exclusive Bible-based content on our Patreon page - welcome in advance to the amazing community of Bible-believing, revelation-seeking Christians!

“Pharaoh got up in the night, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians, and there was a great cry [of heartache and sorrow] in Egypt, for there was no house where there was not someone dead. Then he called for Moses and Aaron at night and said, “Get up, get out from among my people, both you and the Israelites; and go, serve the LORD, as you said. Take both your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and go, and [ask your God to] bless me also.”” (EXODUS 12:30-32 AMP)

Reading the account of the plagues of judgments done by God in Egypt, I feel really frustrated by the stubbornness of Pharaoh and his refusal to let the children of Israel go.

I believe that there is a very important reason for God allowing Israel’s deliverance to be dragged out like this and not an immediate, decisive one.
He is teaching us a principle of deliverance from bondage.

Out of all the plagues that God did through Moses and Aaron in Egypt, only one of them is a picture of Jesus.

That plague is the last one, the “Death of the Firstborn” where every household of the children of Israel (in short) was instructed to roast an unblemished lamb, eat it, and paint the blood of the lamb on the doorpost and lintel of their house.

The lamb represents Jesus the “Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world”. There are many lessons about Jesus to learn from the Passover lamb:

“Tell all the congregation of Israel, ‘On the tenth [day] of this month they are to take a lamb or young goat for themselves, according to [the size of] the household of which he is the father, a lamb or young goat for each household. ~‘Now if the household is too small for a lamb [to be consumed], let him and his next door neighbor take one according to the number of people [in the households]; according to what each man can eat, you are to divide the lamb. ~‘Your lamb or young goat shall be [perfect] without blemish or bodily defect, a male a year old; you may take it from the sheep or from the goats. ~‘You shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month, then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel is to slaughter it at twilight. ~‘Moreover, they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel [above the door] of the houses in which they eat it. ~‘They shall eat the meat that same night, roasted in fire, and they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. ~‘Do not eat any of it raw or boiled in water, but roasted in fire--both its head and its legs, along with its inner parts. ~‘You shall let none of the meat remain until the morning, and anything that remains left over until morning, you shall burn completely in the fire.” (EXODUS 12:3-10 AMP)

  1. The lamb should be completely consumed if not the remaining meat should be burn completely in the fire. We need to consume (believe) all truths about Jesus as declared in God’s word, not just pick and choose the parts we like and think are believable.
  2. The lamb must be unblemished, male and a year old, just like how Jesus was sinless, male and a young adult (33 years old) when He died on the cross for our sins.
  3. The lamb is to be taken on the 10th day and kept till the 14th day of the month. That’s 4 days in between. Prophetically speaking, a day is as a thousand years to the Lord. So 4 days is 4000 years. According to Sir Isaac Newton and Bishop Ussher, they calculated the time between Adam’s creation till Jesus’ death to be about 4000 years! For 4000 years, the Son of God was in heaven, not living among men, and after that, He finally appeared in the likeness of sinful flesh and dwelled among them to die for their sins.
  4. In Hebrew, it literally says that lamb is to be slaughtered between the two evenings. From 12 noon to 3pm, darkness covered the land while Jesus hung on the cross, causing the first ‘evening’. The darkness left after Jesus died at 3pm. At 6pm was the second evening. Jesus died between two evenings!
  5. The blood of the lamb painted on the two doorposts and the lintel forms the Hebrew letter “Tav” which is a pictogram of a cross. The lamb which is sacrificed is represented by the first Hebrew letter “Aleph” (which is a pictogram of a sacrificial ox). Together Aleph Tav forms the meaning of “the sacrifice on the cross”, and it also means “The First and the Last”, “Alpha and Omega”, all referring to Jesus!
  6. The whole lamb must be roasted in fire, and eaten with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. The full wrath (fire) of God for all the sins of the world fell upon Jesus at the cross. Jesus is a sinless and perfect sacrifice (unleavened bread). In the Bible leaven represents sin. Jesus bore our curses (the bitter herbs). Herbs are grown from the cursed ground.
  7. The lamb cannot be eaten raw which is to wrongly say that Jesus never received the punishment for our sins. The lamb cannot be eaten boiled in water which is to wrongly say that Jesus’ work at the cross is not a finished work, that He did not bear the full punishment for our sins and that there remains some unpunished sins.

God passed over every household that had the blood of the Passover lamb on its doorposts and lintel:

“For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel [above the entry way] and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to slay you.” (EXODUS 12:23 AMP)

Pharaoh, which represents the devil, only let the children of Israel go after the final plague which involves the Passover lamb (Jesus).

Sandcastles Don't Last Forever

$7.99

This is the eBook version.

If you prefer to get the Paperback version (physical copy), you can get it on Amazon here for US$15.

About the Book:

One day when I was singing praises to God, an image floated up in my spirit: a big and beautiful sandcastle being washed away by the waves from the sea. God was teaching me the futility of holding tightly onto worldly possessions because like the sandcastle, they won't last, and one day will cease to exist.

He taught me from His word to focus on Him and by doing so, I would reap great eternal rewards before Jesus' throne at the start of the Millennium. These rewards will last forever and can't be destroyed or stolen.

It is my prayer that the revelations in this book will help you to live with a focus on the things above where God is, fulfill your God-given calling in life, be happier and to accumulate more eternal rewards to your account.

In this Book, you will learn about:

- Heavenly investment advice and the futility of worldly pursuits from a trillionaire in the Bible

- Why God has to reward us in order to be righteous

- When and how God will destroy the current earth and sky to make way for new ones

- The types of fireproof works that earn eternal rewards at the end of time

- The abundant rewards of doing good works while abiding by the non-disclosure agreement between God and you

- The difference between the temporary places of torment: Sheol and Abaddon

- Who is the Antichrist and his name revealed in the Bible

- What is the Mark of the Beast and why it disqualifies its recipients from receiving salvation

- The different judgments at the throne of Jesus Christ and what it means for you as a believer

- How to fulfill your calling and maximize your gifts to receive the best eternal rewards

Testimonials about the contents of this book:

"Sandcastles Don't Last Forever is very well written, its message loud and clear. Milton Goh gives common-sense insight on often confusing Scripture, which is much appreciated in these troubled times. My understanding of the Bible has definitely improved."

- Mike Garrett, first Editor/ Publisher for Stephen King and Author of Christian Novel "Innocence Denied", from USA

"This book is absolutely breathtaking. We don't work to be saved but were created to do good works. I am so energized and excited to know God values our works and we will be rewarded. This is all Glory to Jesus... I cant wait to throw my crowns at his feet and thank him for saving my life!" - Evangelist Michael Clark from USA

"Dear Milton Goh, I truly thank our Abba, Father for the revelations in this book. It is so amazing how I begin to discover important verses in the Bible that I have never read. That instead of following riches, with sleepless nights, and actually shortening our lives, we are just to 'Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ', and 'Love one another'. How beautiful to find out that actually in the Bible there is both 'Earthly or Worldly Investment Wisdom' and 'Eternal Investment Wisdom' according to the revelations here from Ecclesiastes 5:14-17 WEB)!; “It seems like Solomon was not only wise at earning material riches but also at earning eternal riches.” All the glory to our Lord Jesus Christ! God bless you Milton Goh for such a wonderful book!" - Nitta Nierra from Belgium

“Thank you Milton. I have just finished reading “Sandcastles Don’t Last Forever”. It’s such a good book that's filled with God's word. I love it very much. Might read again if I have the time. Thanks so much!” - Mally Chai from Singapore

Messiah's Miracles—The Power of Having Faith in Jesus Christ

$9.99 $7.99
I have prayed for others and seen instant healing miracles and received supernatural words of knowledge about them. I have also received miracles through prayer and others praying for me.

The Bible clearly reveals God’s will for every believer to walk in the miraculous. If you’re tired of a Christian walk that has no evidence of God’s manifested power, all it takes is to replace some wrong beliefs so that unbelief can be cast out. This is what I believe the Holy Spirit wants to do through this book.

Under the New Covenant of Grace, every blessing is received by faith. Faith comes by hearing about Jesus and this book is all about Jesus and designed to impart faith to the reader. During Jesus’ ministry on earth, He didn’t work any miracles by His own authority as God. He relied completely on faith in His Father and the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit purposefully chose 37 of Jesus’ miracles to be recorded in the four gospels. This is no coincidence. Each miracle reveals something powerful about our Lord Jesus. As you behold Jesus' love, grace and mercy expounded in these 37 miracles, I believe that you will see miracles erupt in your own life!

Testimonials from readers:

“One of my most trusted teachers has truly written a masterpiece. I can't put this book down.”
- Michael Clark, Highly Sought-After Preacher in USA

“Thank you, Milton for the anointed sharing of the 37 miracles of Jesus. Right from the 1st miracle, God dropped fresh revelations of His heart to me. It wasn't head knowledge that I experienced. I felt His personality, His loving heart's intents towards me. On top of that, there's also revelation of His healing power. Praise Jesus for transforming my heart and bringing me closer to Him through Milton's sharing.”
- Ann Tan, GEM patron from Singapore

Break your addictions with the revelation of the true Passover Lamb

Jesus is the answer to whatever bondage or addiction that you’re trapped by right now.

The other plagues didn’t cause Pharaoh to let them go.
Our willpower, self-efforts, good deeds, positive thinking cannot deliver us from our slavery to sin.

After each of those plagues, Pharaoh pretended to repent and promise to let the children of Israel go, but once each plague was lifted by God, he acted deceitfully and did not let them go.

Similarly, anything other than Jesus may give you some temporary relief from your addictions, but it will surely come back with a vengeance because it’s not a lasting solution.

You’re only dragging out your suffering and frustration by leaving Jesus’ finished work out of your solution!

Listening to messages proclaiming the fullness of the Passover Lamb can free you from your addictions.

Listen to sermons which teach the following:
  • Jesus fully bore all your sins as well as the punishment for them at the cross.
  • You have forgiveness of sins and God’s wrath has passed over you because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Declare and meditate on the following statements:
  • I am completely forgiven in Christ!
  • The blood of Jesus covers and protects me!
  • God is not angry with me. He loves me!

Here’s more good news for you: When God delivers of your addictions, you’re not going to leave Egypt (the place of your addiction) empty-handed and having to rebuild your life from scratch.

“Now the Israelites had acted in accordance with the word of Moses; and they had asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing. The LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they gave them what they asked. And so they plundered the Egyptians [of those things].” (EXODUS 12:35-36 AMP)

When you act in accordance with the principles of the Passover (representing Jesus’ death at the cross), you will position yourself to receive favor from God and you will plunder the devil for deceiving you into the bondage of your addiction.

Both earthly blessings and eternal rewards are yours for choosing the right response of faith, even though you sinned in the first place.
Praise the Lord for His immeasurable goodness and Grace!

Quote: "After each of those plagues, Pharaoh pretended to repent and promise to let the children of Israel go, but once each plague was lifted by God, he acted deceitfully and did not let them go."

Why did you say Pharoah "pretended" when the Bible says it was God who hardened his heart (Exodus 7:3, Exodus 9:12, Exodus 10:20/27).

It says that God hardened his heart, but doesn’t explain how He hardened it.

God would be righteous if He kills a sinner, but to restrain someone who wants to repent would be unrighteous.

I believe God wouldn’t actively restrain a person from repenting or having faith. That would be stumbling someone from having faith and that’s a sin:

“He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭17:1‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Faith is a gift that is imparted from God.

“So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
(‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Faith is not by works and man cannot conjure faith on his own.
Even the faith with which we use to believe in Jesus is a gift from God.

“For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭WEB‬‬

I believe how He hardened Pharaoh’s heart is simply by not imparting the gift of faith to Pharaoh, so Pharaoh was acting on his own free will, driven by his own sinful flesh.

“When Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders had ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭9:34‬ ‭WEB‬‬

1. Quote: "It says that God hardened his heart, but doesn’t explain how He hardened it."

Huh? I don't see why the "how" should be even relevant. The point remains how can you say he pretended when God says it was He who hardened his heart?

2. Quote: "God would be righteous if He kills a sinner, but to restrain someone who wants to repent would be unrighteous." / "I believe God wouldn’t actively restrain a person from repenting or having faith. That would be stumbling someone from having faith and that’s a sin:

What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. (Rom 9:14-16)

God is sovereign and He show mercy and compassion on whoever He wants.

In fact, God said He deliberately, actively hardened Pharoah's heart according to His will.

For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.” Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.(Rom 9:14-16)

And should anyone think God was unrighteous to do that, Paul says,

"But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?” Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?" (Rom 9:20-21)

And didn't Prov 21:1 says God can turn a king's heart in whichever He wants?.

So if God is sovereign and He is the one who decides what is righteous, then how can you or anyone else say God is not righteous (or in fact calls it a sin) to harden Pharaoh's heart?
