28 November 2021 - Possess Much More In Christ - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Joseph Prince taught about the benefits of Jesus’ finished work at the cross. God wants us to possess much more of our inheritance in Christ, including provision and healing! Praise and Worship Song Performed: (I missed the songs before this) 1. Refuge - New Creation Worship Hebrews 11:6 - Faith is fully persuaded in God’s goodness and grace. Faith justifies God and makes the devil a liar. “Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6 WEB) Romans 1:17 - The righteous by faith shall live. We receive eternal life through faith in Jesus. “For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”” (Romans 1:17 WEB) Revelation 21:8 - The worst kind of sins are fear, unbelief (lack of trust in God’s words). “But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”” (Revelation 21:8 WEB) Faith is a rest. In the temple, the outer court is very busy and bustling but in the Holy of Holies, there is perfect peace. We are seated with Christ in Heaven. We are in this place by faith and not by sight. Obadiah 1:17 - It is one thing to have your possessions, and another thing to possess your possessions. God wants His people to possess more of what He has for us. “But in Mount Zion, there will be those who escape, and it will be holy. The house of Jacob will possess their possessions.” (Obadiah 1:17 WEB) Psalm 103:1-3 - We must remember all the benefits God has given to us. Forgiveness of sins is the most important benefit. “Praise Yahweh, my soul! All that is within me, praise his holy name! Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases;” (Psalms 103:1-3 WEB) Joshua 1:2-3 - We have to tread on the land to possess what God has given to us. We must receive what He promised. ““Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go across this Jordan, you, and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them, even to the children of Israel. I have given you every place that the sole of your foot will tread on, as I told Moses.” (Joshua 1:2-3 WEB)

21 November 2021 - Be a Victorious Believer Like Abraham - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Joseph Prince taught about two different kinds of believers: victorious and defeated. Although both are righteous, only the victorious ones experience the fullness of God’s blessings. Discover how you can walk victoriously through faith. Praise and Worship Song Performed:
This sermon was originally preached back in 2011. Romans 4:1-4 - We become righteous through believing God. We believe that Jesus took away our sins at the cross. God unleashed all His wrath for sin upon Jesus at the cross. Our sins were transferred to Jesus and His righteousness is transferred to us. Today we are blessed and favored apart from our righteous deeds. God is good to us based on Jesus’ finished work at the cross. We are not blessed based on our performance like receiving a salary. We are not made righteous based on our works. “What then will we say that Abraham, our forefather, has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not toward God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as something owed.” (Romans 4:1-4 WEB) What is the blessing of Abraham? He was blessed in all things. His wife Sarah had her youth dramatically renewed at the age of eighty-five such that two Heathen kings wanted her to be a concubine in their harem. 2 Peter 2:6-8 - There are two types of righteous believers: defeated and victorious. Lot was not supposed to be in Sodom. “and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly; and delivered righteous Lot, who was very distressed by the lustful life of the wicked (for that righteous man dwelling among them, was tormented in his righteous soul from day to day with seeing and hearing lawless deeds):” (2 Peter 2:6-8 WEB) Abraham was not perfect in his conduct. He lied twice about Sarah only being his sister, putting her chastity in danger. However, Abraham did not remain in sin. A pig may wallow in the mud, but sheep do not like to remain in the mud. When believers fall into sin, their souls feel vexed. They do not want to remain in sin. 14 November 2021 - The Great End-Time Revival - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon NotesNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Lawrence Lim taught about Amos’ prophecy about the great revival coming in the end times. A time of great prosperity for the body of Christ and abundant harvest of souls for God’s Kingdom is imminent! Praise and Worship Song Performed:
Our God does not only have love—He is love, and He keeps on loving you. Romans 8:31-32 - When you are in Christ, you are forgiven and God is for you, not against you. If God delivered up His Son for you, there is nothing good He will withhold from you. God wants to meet all your needs. “What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:31-32 WEB) Proverbs 17:22 - A merry heart is good for our health. “A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22 WEB) Isaiah 60:1-5 - The time for God’s people to shine is during a time of darkness on earth. There will be a great end-time revival. There is an end-time wealth transfer from the wicked to the righteous. ““Arise, shine; for your light has come, and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you. For, behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but Yahweh will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather themselves together. They come to you. Your sons will come from far away, and your daughters will be carried in arms. Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.” (Isaiah 60:1-5 WEB) We are not here to live for our own pleasures. We are here to serve the Lord, to live a life that glorifies Him. Amos 9:11-12 - This is a prophecy of an end-time revival that will happen. The Tabernacle (tent) of David is very different from the Tabernacle of Moses. The common people could not access the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle of Moses. Only the high priest could enter into the Holy of Holies once a year on the Day of Atonement. However, the Tabernacle of David has only one piece of furniture: the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark of the Covenant is a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is made of incorruptible wood, and covered with gold. This is a picture of divinity and humanity together in one. In the Tabernacle of David, everyone has access to the Ark of the Covenant. This represents the church age today where every believer has direct access to Jesus. “In that day I will raise up the tent of David who is fallen, and close up its breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old; that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations who are called by my name,” says Yahweh who does this.” (Amos 9:11-12 WEB) Acts 15:15-17 - The apostle James quoted the prophecy by Amos. “This agrees with the words of the prophets. As it is written, ‘After these things I will return. I will again build the tabernacle of David, which has fallen. I will again build its ruins. I will set it up, That the rest of men may seek after the Lord; all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who does all these things.” (Acts 15:15-17 WEB) Hebrews 4:16 - There is no more barrier between us and God. We can boldly go to His throne via prayer. “Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16 WEB) Amos 9:13 - The prophet Amos prophesied of a time where there is such a great, abundant, perpetual harvest. This harvest will be an end-time harvest of souls and also a time of great prosperity for the church. ““Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the one treading grapes him who sows seed; and sweet wine will drip from the mountains, and flow from the hills.” (Amos 9:13 WEB) 7 November 2021 - God Has Moved Mountains - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesNew Sermon Notes: Pastor Joseph Prince showed from God’s word the reason for bitterness and sexual immorality in the church, and how true holiness and victorious living comes by Grace alone. Praise and Worship Song Performed:
Hebrews 11:20-21 - Of all the things that Jacob did in his life, the Holy Spirit highlights the greatest thing of faith that Jacob did is to bless his grandsons this way as led by God. He crossed his arms to give the firstborn blessing to Joseph’s younger son Ephraim. It shows a picture of the cross—the undeserving one receives the greatest blessing. God loves it when you pray for your children. This is the greatest thing you can do in daily life. “By faith, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even concerning things to come. By faith, Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.” (Hebrews 11:20-21 WEB) The marks on Jesus’ hands and feet are your receipt to receive God’s blessings. Jesus is the perfect object for your heart. Peace is when you see your relationship with God restored because of Jesus. Joy is when your heart is full of Jesus. The spirit that needs to come to the body of Christ is the spirit of sonship. We do what pleases God simply because we as His children want to, and we know what pleases Him. God can place you in the right place at the right time. You will do better than the wise and mighty of this world simply because of God. There was no division in the synagogue until Jesus came. When the Gospel came, the ones who held on to the old system were trembling. The Old Covenant and New Covenant are very different. |
