28 January 2018 - The Love of God Revealed in the Lives of Mephibosheth and David - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

Let God have the time to work His miracles in a service.

Don’t let your life, marriage, family, etc. become a vending machine - everything instantaneous, and in express mode.
Don’t let professionalism take over every area of your life.
Sometimes you have to take time to enjoy what the Lord has given you.

The longest chapter in the Book of Genesis is Genesis 24 where Abraham sent an unnamed servant to find a bride for his beloved son Isaac.
That unnamed servant represents the Holy Spirit.
Right now, the Holy Spirit is working all over the world, preparing a beautiful bride for Jesus.

The church is the beautiful bride of Christ. It is not a building.

John 1:17 - You can send a gift from a distance, but when you “come” in person, it’s personal and near.
Grace and truth are one. When you touch water, you touch wet. Don’t try to separate grace and truth - that’s trying to separate what God has put together.
What God has put together, let no man tear asunder.
In Hebrew, grace and truth are “hesed ve emet”.

“For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:17 NKJV)

Give room for wrath. Let God be your Avenger. Don’t try to do it yourself.

The sermon on the mount can be summarized like this: God is unfairly good.

To God, 1 plus 1 equals 1. A man and a woman in marriage becomes 1 flesh.
God’s economy is different from the world.

II Samuel 2:5-6 - The word “kindness” is hesed. The words “kindness and truth” are “hesed ve emet”.
People have the idea that truth has a negative connotation, that it’s hard.
The word truth doesn’t mean judgment. Hesed ve Emet just means true grace.

“So David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh Gilead, and said to them, “You are blessed of the LORD, for you have shown this kindness to your lord, to Saul, and have buried him. And now may the LORD show kindness and truth to you. I also will repay you this kindness, because you have done this thing.” (II Samuel 2:5-6 NKJV)

Genesis 15:7-21 - God works with covenant. The reason why everything is being shaken in the Middle East and especially Jerusalem, is because of covenant.
When God cut a covenant with Abraham, He put Abraham to sleep.
The blood of animals was everywhere because the animals were divided in two.
The vultures that came down on the carcasses are demons - Jesus defined in a parable that the birds of the air that snatch away the seeds is the devil.
God crossed to the other side while Abraham was sleeping. It represents how Jesus took our place and suffered to pay for our sins.
While Abraham was sleeping, he saw in a vision that a Smoking Oven (a picture of God the Father appearing in a cloud of smoke on Mount Sinai) and a Burning Torch (Jesus the Light of the World) passed between the pieces.
That represents God the Father and God the Son cutting the covenant on behalf of Abraham - Jesus taking Abraham’s place.
That is because God didn’t want Abraham to be held accountable for it.

“Then He said to him, “I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.” And he said, “Lord GOD, how shall I know that I will inherit it?” So He said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two. And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away. Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions. Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age. But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.” And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces. On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying: “To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates— the Kenites, the Kenezzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”” (Genesis 15:7-21 NKJV)

Teach your daughters that virginity is important because sex is a covenant act.
The first time a woman has sex there is a shedding of blood - covenant.
Sex is so beautiful that it’s deeper than just being physical - it’s spirit, soul and body.

10 Tips for Teaching Kids about Jesus: How Christian Parents can Raise God-Loving Children

As Christian parents, teaching our kids about Jesus should be our highest priority. It is the best present you can give to your children. Let's raise them to be God-loving children! Image credits: www.kidsofintegrity.com .

In this blog post, I will share 10 tips for teaching kids about Jesus and how you as a Christian parent can help your child to come to know and love Him.
These tips are based on what we practice with our daughter and also what we plan to practice with her in the future as well.

As I am writing this, our daughter Maeleth Sarah Goh is 23 months old, turning 2 next month! Reflecting on the past 2 years, I have made some parenting mistakes and also have had some parenting wins.

However I feel that the most important thing I can do for my daughter is to help her know Jesus. I want to raise her in a Jesus-exalting environment, and let her start benefiting from the sweet life of having a covenant relationship with God from a young age.

You see, I was not born into a Christian family. My parents believe in a diluted version of Taoism/Buddhism and I believe that because I was raised in such an environment since young, the devil had many opportunities to attack me and hold me back from enjoying the good life that Jesus died to give me.

It was not until I turned 17 that I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior and found out all that I had been missing out on in life.

My wife Amilee was also not born or raised in a Christian family and went through many setbacks and hardship in life too.
We both feel that all that unnecessary hurt that she went through was because Jesus wasn't her Lord and Savior yet.

Therefore, it is our deepest desire for Mae to receive Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior from as young an age as possible and grow to be a God-loving child.

1) We don’t get to play God by deciding who deserves to live or die. Live with integrity and a clear conscience and you will... live long.

I love that in this movie all the self-righteous characters like Teresa, Chancellor Paige, Director Janson and Lawrence who do wicked deeds suffer terrible deaths, whereas the innocent ones who don’t get involved in the violence and manipulation are the ones who survive and live in the safe haven in the end.

A beautiful story of how good always triumphs over evil and that it’s better to do things the right way than to try and achieve a goal through underhand methods.

24 January 2018 - Encounter Night: The Lost World Out There Needs Grace - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes for Midweek Service

Pastor Prince ministered in healing as led by the Holy Spirit. Lots of people received healing.
Healing anointing is not limited by time or space.
Receive your healing for whatever condition you have as you are reading this now in Jesus’ name!

Believers will lay hands on the sick and they SHALL recover.
It may not be immediate healing but they will recover for sure.

Many times when you receive a healing miracle from God, you won’t feel anything supernatural. No heat, cold, electricity-feeling or anything.
Divine healing doesn’t have to come with dramatic flair to be effective.

Holiness is not the purchase price for your healing. Healing is a gift.

Are you still sin-conscious? If you are, then you still haven’t received the grace of God.

The one who is supposed to be satisfied by the payment is the one to whom the debt is owed.
If God is satisfied by the payment that Jesus has given at the cross, then why aren’t you?

One sacrifice for sins forever. One sacrifice for sickness forever. Healing is a gift - it is a grace.

Word from Pastor Prince: There are a few of you that have been feeling dizzy lately during the day.
It’s making you feeling like you’re getting old and getting some sort of serious sickness.

It’s an attack from an evil spirit. Stand up where you are and receive deliverance from it by faith in Jesus’ name.

21 January 2018 - How to Receive the Spirit of Wisdom from God - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

21 January 2018 - How to Receive the Spirit of Wisdom from God - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

When you feel like God is giving you words in your heart for others, speak it out and let them know.
That’s how you flow in the prophetic gift.
Our young children can flow in the prophetic gift too.

In the Bible, if there’s a listing, more often than not, Wisdom is the first thing mentioned.
The gift of the word of wisdom is the first spiritual gift of the Holy Spirit mentioned.
Wisdom is the first thing mentioned of what Christ is to us.

The Bible is God breathed. The Bible contains lies as well which are faithfully recorded - Example: the lie that Satan told Eve in the Garden of Eden.
Job is the oldest book in the Bible.
Moses compiled Genesis and Exodus.

Job 26:7 - God knows how the world is made. The Book of Job says this very clearly: the earth hangs upon nothing.

“He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.” (Job 26:7 NKJV)

Job 25:5 - The moon doesn’t shine. It reflects light.

“If even the moon does not shine, And the stars are not pure in His sight,” (Job 25:5 NKJV)

Leviticus 17:11 - The life of the flesh is in the blood.
Only the life of Jesus in His blood can wash away our sins. It is the blood of God Himself!

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’” (Leviticus 17:11 NKJV)

Many people believe in the Big Bang Theory.
It takes more faith to believe in that, that order came out of nowhere.
In this world everything entropies - Example: a hot coffee gets cold after leaving it out in a room.

Evolution is false - Everything on this earth doesn’t get from lower to higher. It seems like the earth is folding up and getting old.

Three levels of reading God’s word:
1) The letter of the word (Outer Court) ,
2) The meaning of the word (The Holy Place),
3) The unveiling of Jesus in the word. (Holy of Holies)

Deuteronomy 30:3 - This was a prophetic word back then when it was written.
This is the 5708th verse in the Torah. On that year in the Hebrew calendar, Israel came back as a nation.

“that the LORD your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the LORD your God has scattered you.” (Deuteronomy 30:3 NKJV)

14 January 2018 - Hesed Wisdom in Turning from Self to Jesus - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

In the Hebrew Bible, everywhere the word “grace” appears, it is translated as “hesed”.

Psalm 136:5 - The word “mercy” is “hesed” in Hebrew and should be translated as grace.
Grace and wisdom appear together in one verse.

“To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy endures forever;” (Psalms 136:5 NKJV)

Luke 2:40 - Again grace and wisdom appear together in one verse.

“And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.” (Luke 2:40 NKJV)

The ability to recognize your own flaws is wisdom itself.

You don’t need a winning lottery ticket to get what you want in life.
Whatever you want is found in wisdom.  Wisdom can bring you long life, riches, honor, pleasure and peace.

When you read the Book of Proverbs, riches is depicted as something that comes from God, whereas poverty is a shame.

I Kings 3:5-10 - "Great mercy" and "Great kindness" are both the same Hebrew words "hesed gadol" which means great grace.
Solomon probably learnt about grace from his father David who also understood grace.

Long before you see destruction there was pride.
Long before you see honor, humility was there.
Make wisdom your top prayer request this year.
In Wisdom’s right hand is long life and in the left hand is riches and honor. God gave Solomon what was in the left hand.
But the right hand came with conditions. Solomon died young because he was led astray by women and worshipped pagan idols.
Jesus is the right hand. He is seated at the right hand of God. You have long life because you have Jesus.

"At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?” And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. Now, O LORD my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.” (I Kings 3:5-10 NKJV)

II Timothy 3:15 - The word “child” in Hebrew is the word for infant. Even an infant can receive wisdom.

"And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." (II Timothy 3:15 NKJV)

I King 3:15 - The first thing when you receive wisdom is that you treasure the presence of God and you want to know more of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.” (I Kings 3:15 NKJV)

Solomon understood Hesed Wisdom. He probably learned it from his father King David. He had the wisdom to be humble and to ask for wisdom from God.

Bible Study Takeaways from Proverbs 1

When reading the Book of Proverbs or any book of the Bible for that matter, the first step to receiving God’s Hesed Wisdom is to worship God. If you truly worship Him, you will want to know everything about Him and your heart will be open to receiving whatever He has for you.
Are you a fan-girl or fan-boy of God?

“The [reverent] fear of the LORD [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; But arrogant fools despise [skillful and godly] wisdom and instruction and self-discipline.” (PROVERBS 1:7 AMP)

When you have God’s Hesed Wisdom, beauty and glory will be seen upon you.

“My son, hear the instruction of your father, And do not reject the teaching of your mother. For they are a garland of grace on your head, And chains and ornaments [of gold] around your neck.” (PROVERBS 1:8-9 AMP)

Never make a decision based upon greed. Greed takes doesn’t add life, it takes life away.

“So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; Greed takes away the lives of its possessors.” (PROVERBS 1:19 AMP)

Jesus is the Wisdom of God. This section of Proverbs 20-33 is actually referring to Jesus and how He is giving an open call for men to receive salvation and the good life from Him, but the fools and self-righteous people ignore it.
God promises a safe and secure life to all those who live by His Hesed Wisdom.

“Wisdom shouts in the street, She raises her voice in the markets; She calls out at the head of the noisy streets [where large crowds gather]; At the entrance of the city gates she speaks her words: “How long, O naive ones [you who are easily misled], will you love being simple-minded and undiscerning? How long will scoffers [who ridicule and deride] delight in scoffing, How long will fools [who obstinately mock truth] hate knowledge? “If you will turn and pay attention to my rebuke, Behold, I [Wisdom] will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.
“But whoever listens to me (Wisdom) will live securely and in confident trust And will be at ease, without fear or dread of evil.”” (PROVERBS 1:20-23, 33 AMP)

Is Teleportation Possible and What Does the Bible Say About it? With God Nothing is Impossible

Is Teleportation Possible and What Does the Bible Say About it? With God Nothing is Impossible

Teleportation is a fantasy for many fans of science fiction.
You walk into a portal or machine, and BANG, a moment later you’re at another location.
Sometimes when I travel for long durations, I would think to myself “Why can’t I just teleport there instead??”

The Oxford Dictionary defines “teleport” this way: to transport or be transported across space and distance instantly.

Is teleportation just a figment of imagination, or is it possible? Or rather, has it already happened before?

Actually it has, and it was recorded a few times in the New Testament of the Bible.

In the Book of Acts, Philip, a believer and disciple was teleported from the desert to Azotus.
Let’s take a look at what happened:

“Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.” So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. The place in the Scripture which he read was this: “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And as a lamb before its shearer is silent, So He opened not His mouth. In His humiliation His justice was taken away, And who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth.” So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.” (Acts 8:26-40 NKJV)

As you can see, the Holy Spirit caught Philip away and he was found at Azotus. This is definitely not describing natural movement from one place to another -
Philip was in the desert and a moment later he found himself at Azotus - if that’s not teleportation then I don’t know what is!

Another incident was recounted by the Apostle Paul of someone that he knew who experienced supernatural teleportation.
However it is not clear whether he was teleported in his physical body or it was happening as a vision in his mind’s eye.

“I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows--such a one was caught up to the third heaven. And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.” (II Corinthians 12:2-4 NKJV)

7 January 2018 - Vision Sunday: The Year of Hesed Wisdom - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Theme of the Year 2018

7 January 2018 - Vision Sunday: The Year of Hesed Wisdom - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Theme of the Year 2018

The world is getting darker but you can see good days in 2018!

The theme of the year is an emphasis that God is placing for a certain part of the body of Christ.
Different ministries may have different themes of the year and sometimes they may overlap.

God wants you to know the theme so that when a breakthrough happens, you can think “Oh yeah, it’s the theme of the year - it’s all by Your grace!”

When you only look out for your own family without caring about others, your life becomes insular and you will start to feel like you need to be there to protect your family all the time. That’s not God’s way.
God’s way is for you to seek His kingdom and His righteousness first and all these things will be added to you.
When you lose your life for His sake, you will find it.

The word for grace in Hebrew is “hesed”.
Hesed is when you don’t deserve it but God still blesses you.
When you expect something bad to happen but you get something good. That’s hesed.
Many Bible versions translate the well-known verse as “His love endures forever”, but the word for love there is actually “hesed”. The Hebrew word for love should be “ahava”.

Hesed flows down to the humble. Humility is a condition to receive it.
Proud people cannot receive it because Hesed is undeserved, unearned, unmerited favor.
Proud people think that they can earn it themselves and won’t even pray for it.

Psalm 136:15 - When you see this year God overturning evil powers and nations, it’s because God is showing His hesed.
If we don’t learn about the judgement of God that fell upon Jesus on the cross then we won’t know how to appreciate God’s grace.

“But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, For His mercy endures forever;” (Psalms 136:15 NKJV)

There are three accounts of Jesus raising people from the dead:
Jairus’ daughter. Raised from the dead after she just died.
Widow of Naim’s son. Raised from the dead on the same day.
Lazarus. Raised from the dead after four days.
Jesus can raised back any level of dead.

God can turn your valley of conflict into a valley of blessing this year in 2018, just like how He did for king Jehoshaphat.
When the king put his worshippers in the front lines of the battle, his enemies were defeated.

I Kings 3:4-10 - King Solomon is the richest man who ever lived. He is a trillionaire.
Great mercy in Hebrew is “hesed gadol” which is great grace.
Great kindness in Hebrew is also “hesed gadol” which is also great grace.
Grace is attracted to your weakness. Your weakness is your qualification for grace.
You don’t have to try to find weakness - just be yourself.
As you grow in the Lord, be patient with yourself. If there’s no weakness in your life, God’s grace cannot flow.
Solomon calls himself a little child. He is humble and you can see the beginning of wisdom in him.
Solomon asked for a hearing heart - wisdom.
The next day after Solomon received wisdom from the Lord, two prostitutes came face to face to meet the king to resolve a dispute over a child.
Solomon did not have to meet them, but he replied with great wisdom - he was looking for the heart of affection of the real mother.

“Now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.” (I Kings 3:4-10 NKJV)

I Kings 3:10-15 - There is no earthly king that’s greater than Solomon. Solomon is the richest man that ever lived.
After factoring in inflation, he would be worth about $2.1 Trillion in today’s time.
Whatever your school results are does not deprive you of the good life that God can give you.
There are many educated idiots out there and you can tell by the way they run things.
God can give you wisdom.
There was a condition attached to God’s promise: Solomon had to keep God’s commandments. In this area Solomon failed and that’s why his ministry only lasted for 40 years - despite that, it was still a golden age of Israel.

“The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.” Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.” (I Kings 3:10-15 NKJV)

I Kings 4:29-34 - Solomon’s wisdom excelled all other wise men.
Science can only tell you what is happening.
Solomon’s wisdom can go beyond that. He can tell you why God created a particular animal and their purpose. You can learn many moral lessons from his wisdom.

“And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men— than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five. Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish. And men of all nations, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom, came to hear the wisdom of Solomon.” (I Kings 4:29-34 NKJV)

Acts 4:33-34 - With great grace comes great power.
There was no lack - they prospered. When great grace was upon them, provision flowed as well.

“And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,” (Acts 4:33-34 NKJV)

Proverbs 9:1 - Pastor Prince will be sharing more about the seven pillars this year both from the Old and New Testament.

“Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars;” (Proverbs 9:1 NKJV)

This is the Year of Hesed Wisdom.
Pastor Prince told him that the theme of the year would make up the shape of the cross.
The word Hesed shares an “s” with the word Wisdom:
