27 May 2018 - The Law of Plunder: No Battle No Spoils - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed: (I missed out the ones before - please let me know if you remember the songs) God You’re So Good - Passion The people who fight for the Law most of the time can’t even memorize the Ten Commandments. We are dead to the Law. It is possible to obey the Commandment not to steal and yet you can remain a miser (stingy). It is possible to obey the Commandment not to commit adultery, and yet you can have a loveless marriage. Grace always empowers one to go further: to be generous and loving. People who have a bondage to pornography will have an unhappy marriage with lots of strife. There will be a lack of sexual satisfaction with the spouse. Pastor Prince shared a testimony about a student who was bound to pornography. He was delivered by regularly declaring that he is the righteousness of God in Christ. Confess it even if you feel like a hypocrite saying it. There is power in the confession. People should sense royalty when you come into a room - not pride or ‘holier than thou’ attitude, but a dignity like Jesus. Numbers 31:25-31 - Eleazar was the High Priest after Aaron. Eleazar was Aaron’s son. Eleazar means “Helper”. To be in touch with the High Priest means touching nearness to God. Today our High Priest is Jesus. Through Him we have nearness to God. The Levites were the assistants to the priests. The priests assisted the High Priest. There are degrees of closeness to God: Jesus had 70 disciples. Out of the 70, there were the 12 disciples who walked closely with Jesus. Out of the 12, there were 3 disciples - Peter, James and John who were in Jesus’ inner circle. Out of the 3, there was 1 - John. The closest to Jesus, who leaned on and listened to the heartbeat of God. The plunder is divided into two parts. Between: 1) Those who went to battle, 2) The congregation (who didn’t go to battle). The Lord gets a tribute as well - similar to the tithing principle. The heave offering (In Hebrew: Terumah) is one of the highest offerings to give to the Lord. It is given to the high priest - the one who is nearest to God. The ones who went to battle give 1 out of every 500 as a tribute to the Lord. The ones who stayed back from battle give 1 out of every 50 as a tribute to the Lord. The ones who went to battle get much more spoils - 10 times more. They are nearer to God. Today our battles are spiritual: we battle/labor by spending time in God’s word to uncover treasures from it. Those who labor in the word will receive much more spoils and nearness to God than those who just use the sermons from others who spent time to meditate on God’s word. We can also go to battle by serving the Lord despite all the attacks from the enemy. Those who didn’t go to battle pay their tributes to the Levites. The offering doesn’t go higher. “Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: “Count up the plunder that was taken—of man and beast—you and Eleazar the priest and the chief fathers of the congregation; and divide the plunder into two parts, between those who took part in the war, who went out to battle, and all the congregation. And levy a tribute for the LORD on the men of war who went out to battle: one of every five hundred of the persons, the cattle, the donkeys, and the sheep; take it from their half, and give it to Eleazar the priest as a heave offering to the LORD. And from the children of Israel’s half you shall take one of every fifty, drawn from the persons, the cattle, the donkeys, and the sheep, from all the livestock, and give them to the Levites who keep charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.” So Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.” (Numbers 31:25-31 NKJV)

23 May 2018 - Encounter Night: Times of the Gentiles (ABCs of Bible Prophecy) - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed:
To receive healing, just offer a simple prayer or a simple act of faith. Don’t over-complicate matters. God’s ways are simple but powerful. Don’t trust in dieting or exercise more than you trust in the Lord, for your health. We need to study Bible prophecy because it strengthens and stabilizes us. Wisdom is the stability of your times. It is wrong to think that it will all pan out anyway so there’s no need to study Bible prophecy. Luke 21:24 - Times of the Gentiles: from AD 70 until 1967. “And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” (Luke 21:24 NKJV) God sent Israel prophet after prophet to tell them not to worship idols or forsake Him. When Israel stopped offering sacrifices, there was nothing to cover Israel’s sins anymore. Then King Nebuchadnezzar came in to destroy Jerusalem and capture the Jews for exile to Babylon. God wanted Israel to be an example of blessing when people obey the Lord. He wanted to provoke the other nations to jealousy. Israel was supposed to be a lighthouse. However, they rebelled against God so God raised up Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdom as a world power instead. Daniel and his three friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah were some of the young Jews who were exiled to Babylon. This message will help you to tap into the wisdom of the Lord to get the answers you need. Why Human Gene Editing is Evil and What is the Mark of the Beast - Bible Study to Warn the Tribulation Saints in AdvanceIn this Mark of the Beast study, I will be sharing about how human DNA was corrupted before in history, the devil’s plans for the future during the Great Tribulation, and how believers can have the wisdom to educate their unsaved family and loved ones about this development that will take place in the future. (This is an original Bible Study - Read more of my devotionals, sermon notes and eBooks by supporting this ministry as a patron on Patreon.) Recently, God impressed on my heart to write about this topic. My wife asked me a question along the lines of “Is it God’s will for people to research or do things related to DNA?” Previously I already asked the same question in my heart and the Holy Spirit gave me an answer from within: Reading the genes/DNA to learn about a person’s in-born talents, abilities, and other data is fine. After identifying such genetic information, you can even start grooming a child in his or her natural God-given gifts early on in life, and know what nutrients he or she needs to grow and thrive. This goes as far as being able to identify diseases that one is more likely to contract, and living wisely so as to not trigger it, and of course knowing in advance allows you to pray against it. All these are not just possibilities, but they are real and being done already. As long as we don’t edit or modify the genetic makeup (the entire original structure of genes and DNA) of a person, we are still operating in God's will. I received this analogy: reading a book that you borrowed (does not belong to you) is fine, but if you tear out the pages or draw on it without permission from the owner, then that’s vandalism. In this case, the book represents our genetic makeup which is made and owned by God, and vandalizing on the book represents performing gene editing. There are modern technologies that really exist doing such gene editing procedures now, such as one called CRISPR, and another one called ZFN. There is also a movement called “Transhumanism” that supports practices like gene editing, whereby these people are advocating for humankind’s abilities and potential to be enhanced through man-made technologies. How do I know it’s not God’s will for our human genetic makeup to be edited? The Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance some truths in God’s word about what happened in the past, before the great flood happened in Noah’s time. In this post, I will be sharing about how human DNA was corrupted before in history, the devil’s plans for the future during the Great Tribulation, and how believers can have the wisdom to educate their unsaved family and loved ones about this development that will take place in the future. Of course, I hope this Bible study will reach the Tribulation Saints of the future and impart to them the wisdom and courage to avoid receiving the Mark of the Beast! 20 May 2018 - Know Your Eternal Calling from God - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed:
God’s calling for us is eternal and it goes beyond this life. God has prepared Heaven, Paradise, the New Jerusalem or whatever you want to call it, for us to dwell in and enjoy forever. God has designed our new spiritual bodies to be able to enjoy the pleasures and blessings of our eternal call. Jesus redeemed us by His blood, but there are still enemies who refuse to leave. The land has been purchased but the tenants are still staying in the squatters. Soon the Lord will come back in power to evict the enemies. I Kings 4:29-34 - God called the Jews and because of their calling, He is able to bless them with the wisdom to tap into their brainpower. The wisdom from God is not received through education. Education just allows us to accumulate knowledge. Wisdom is the ability to use the knowledge which we have. The Book of Proverbs says that the spirit of a man is the candle of the Lord. The Lord can give you inspiration through your spirit. “And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men— than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five. Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish. And men of all nations, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom, came to hear the wisdom of Solomon.” (I Kings 4:29-34 NKJV) Proverbs 2:6 - Knowledge and understanding come from the breath of God. “For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;” (Proverbs 2:6 NKJV) II Timothy 3:13-17 - The words “inspiration of God” means God-breathed. It was the breath of God that made man a living being. If the word of God is God-breathed then we need it for every area of our lives. We can read the Bible and receive the breath of God. We live in times where people say right is wrong and wrong is right. We need to define things correctly for our children, if not the world will teach them its values. Holiness is not about looking down on people and saying “don’t come near me because I’m holier than you”. Holiness means uncommonness - it means being set apart for God’s plans and purposes. When people walk with you, they are able to sense that you’re homely and approachable, but there’s something morally different about you: When most people are crushed and looking for answers, you walk certainly because you know who made you. When most people are anxious and fearful, you have peace. The Big Bang Theory which excludes God from creation can’t be true: Everything that is blown up goes into chaos and disarray - it doesn’t result in order. We live in a world with lots of suppositions but we know the truth: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The word wise in “able to make you wise” is “Sophizo” in Greek. In Hebrew it is “Chokmah”. The word of God is able to give you the wisdom to be saved from whatever trials you’re facing. It is able to supply whatever you need. “But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3:13-17 NKJV) How to Read the Book of Proverbs Correctly: Who are the Righteous, Wicked, Wise and Foolish?16/5/2018 How to Read the Book of Proverbs Correctly: Who are the Righteous, Wicked, Wise and Foolish?“The wicked are overthrown [by their evil] and are no more, But the house of the [consistently] righteous will stand [securely].” (PROVERBS 12:7 AMP) In the Books of Proverbs, the writer often refers to two groups of people: the righteous/upright/good, and the wicked/evil. Who are the righteous? Are they people who obey the Ten Commandments perfectly and don’t sin at all? No, in today’s context, the righteous are the believers who have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We are made righteous by receiving the gift of righteousness and we can receive it because of Jesus’ finished work at the cross. He received all our sins and we received all His righteousness. On top of that, every sin of ours was already punished in His body at the cross, so the wages of sin are already paid for. Therefore we are called the righteous not by our works, but because we are justified by faith in Jesus. Then who are the wicked? They are people who have not received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Before we believed in Jesus, we were part of the “wicked” too. Everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. On our own, no one has the ability to keep the Law. Have you lusted for someone in your heart before, or hated someone? Then you’ve committed the sins of adultery and murder already according to Jesus’ own words. We can only leave the “wicked” to join the “righteous” by believing in Jesus. So when you read the Book of Proverbs, You don’t have to feel condemned when you read about the “righteous” and feel like you can’t meet the standards that God has set. You are already righteous if you believe in Jesus. Instead of feeling condemned, rejoice because all the blessings for the righteous stated in this book are yours! All glory to Jesus - His grace qualifies us for the goodness that we don’t deserve on our own. Million Dollar Blogger teaches you how to Earn Money Online from Home - Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing ReviewWorking from home and earning money online seems to be a fantasy and distant dream more than a reality for most people. However, Michelle from Making Sense of Cents is one of the bloggers that has achieved phenomenal blogging success. Based on the last published income report on her blog, she earned $104,065.67 from blogging in April 2018 and the detailed breakdown is there too. When I first knew about her last year, I was so inspired by her success as a blogger. She is an expert at affiliate marketing and that knowledge has allowed her to earn passive income and spend most of the time traveling and enjoying time and financial freedom with her husband. I felt led to enrol for her course called "Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing" because the big money to be earned through blogging is from affiliate marketing. It is such an important part of earning money online and yet I knew almost nothing about it. I figured that if I want to avoid any big mistakes and save time, I should learn from the very best. That's why I took Michelle's course. 13 May 2018 - Find Rest in Being Quick to Listen - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Mark Ng Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed: Hearts on Fire - New Creation Worship Wonderful (Grace Made Real) - New Creation Worship On and On - Housefires Build My Life - Brett Younker Power of your Presence - Jodie Teyna Whatever God calls for, He will definitely supply and bless. Mothers have a special blessing to supply them for their parenting role. God wants to bless the ‘Marthas’. Martha is an elder sister so she’s used to sacrificing, giving and serving. It comes from a place of love. But she forgot that Jesus was in her home and that she can receive and rest in Him. Miriam was Moses’ elder sister. She was running by the riverside to make sure that Moses was safe. Miriam told the Egyptian princess about her mum who can nurse Moses for her. Miriam was worried and looking out for Moses’ well-being. Elder sisters must learn how to let go when God comes into their lives. James 1:19-20 - Sarai became Sarah. She was a domineering woman and she needed to know that she is a princess (Sarah means Princess) in Christ, that she can rest. We need to learn to be quick to listen, and slow to speak. This is humility and helping to improve the family connection. God wants a woman to woo her man: to respect her husband and have a great relationship with her husband. Don’t only talk with him about the kids. Remember that you and your husband are important too. This will prevent loneliness in the future when the kids are all grown up and when only you and your husband are left at home. “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” (James 1:19-20 NKJV) You need the Lord in every step of your life. Students who are believers have an unfair advantage: parents can’t follow them into the exam hall but the Holy Spirit can. God wants to be unfairly good to you. God is kind and merciful: He also knows how you feel and your pains. God calls us endearingly by name: Martha, Martha. He knows that we are concerned about many things. God wants us to stay young. Even though we grow in age, we can still have the same youthful appearance. The power of Christ in us has the ability to do that. What is the good part that Mary chose? Mary saw Jesus as the Almighty God who came to serve us. Mary could do the right thing at the right time: she was the only one who anointed Jesus for His burial before His death. How Often should I Fast as a Believer under Grace (As well as the Rich Benefits of Doing so) - A Daily DevotionalThis is an original daily devotional. You can read more devotionals, eBooks and sermon notes when you become our patron on Patreon here. You will also receive my ebook "How to Fast Under Grace" as a limited-time offer if you join us by the end of January 2019. Nowadays fasting is even being embraced by the secular world in the name of health. Terms like “intermittent fasting” are coined but these fasts are not done with God in mind. In the Gospels of Matthew, Luke and Mark it records Jesus alluding to the fact that His believers will fast after His ascension to heaven: “Then the disciples of John [the Baptist] came to Jesus, asking, “Why do we and the Pharisees often fast [as a religious exercise], but Your disciples do not fast?” And Jesus replied to them, “Can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while the bridegroom is with them? The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast. But no one puts a piece of unshrunk (new) cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and a worse tear results. Nor is new wine put into old wineskins [that have lost their elasticity]; otherwise the wineskins burst, and the [fermenting] wine spills and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, so both are preserved.”” (MATTHEW 9:14-17 AMP) “But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days.” (Mark 2:20 NKJV) “But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them; then they will fast in those days.”” (Luke 5:35 NKJV) In Jesus’ allegory, the bridegroom represents Himself and the guests of the bridegroom represent Christians. After which, He uses the examples of old versus new wineskins, and old versus new wine. Jesus is saying that the reasons for fasting under the New Covenant of Grace are different from the reasons for fasting under the Law, and that we cannot approach the things of Grace with an Old Covenant, Law-based mindset. Attempting to fast legalistically will lead to fruitlessness - it’ll just be voluntary starvation. Jesus’ name in Hebrew: Yeshua. It means Salvation. He is here to save you and meet your every need. Don’t let your fears overwhelm you - always go back to the word of God. It is in Christ that we have our confidence. Psalm 23:1 - We don’t have to fear the lack of provision because God has promised we will not lack. King David said that he has been young and old and hasn’t seen the righteous starving or begging for bread. It’s God’s promise of provision. “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalms 23:1 NKJV) I Samuel 21:8-9 - Being fearful, David lied about not bringing a weapon. Here, David is a far cry from when he faced Goliath. Back then he had nothing but trust in the Lord. With the Lord, he conquered Goliath with a sling and a stone. Here, David’s heart is filled with fear and not conscious of the Lord - He is fallen. He placed trust in the weapon more than in God. There are seasons in our lives where we our faith is low. Our spiritual walks have ups and downs. New believers have such a passion and excitement about the things of God. Your awareness of the love of God can be renewed today. “And David said to Ahimelech, “Is there not here on hand a spear or a sword? For I have brought neither my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.” So the priest said, “The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, there it is, wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you will take that, take it. For there is no other except that one here.” And David said, “ There is none like it; give it to me.”” (I Samuel 21:8-9 NKJV) I Samuel 21:10-15 - Whatever you take to your heart has a consequence. David was fearful. People lie when they're under duress. David pretended to be mad because he was afraid of Achish. “Then David arose and fled that day from before Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath. And the servants of Achish said to him, “ Is this not David the king of the land? Did they not sing of him to one another in dances, saying: ‘Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands’?” Now David took these words to heart, and was very much afraid of Achish the king of Gath. So he changed his behavior before them, pretended madness in their hands, scratched on the doors of the gate, and let his saliva fall down on his beard. Then Achish said to his servants, “Look, you see the man is insane. Why have you brought him to me? Have I need of madmen, that you have brought this fellow to play the madman in my presence? Shall this fellow come into my house?”” (I Samuel 21:10-15 NKJV) |
