26 July 2020 - Experience Victory Over All Enemies and Reign in Life - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince taught us how to identify ourselves with Christ who is victorious and seated on a throne in Heaven. Keep receiving an abundance of Grace and relying on the gift of righteousness because God wants you to reign in life over every enemy that Jesus has defeated at the cross! Praise and worship songs performed: 1. This is Amazing Grace - Phil Wickham 2. Finished - New Creation Worship You are in the world but not of the world, child of God. A testimony was shared about a woman whose daughter was retrenched from her job during this season of the COVID-19 pandemic. She anointed her daughter’s pillow, room and desk with anointing oil and before the month ended, she received a number of interviews and got a job! Sin will have no power over you when you are resting in Christ and not working by self-effort. When you work, God rests. When you rest, God works. Moses was caught between the Red Sea and the armies of Egypt, and yet Gold told Moses to stand still and see the salvation (Yeshua) of the Lord. Remain at rest and focus on Jesus—the battle is the Lord’s. When king Jehoshaphat’s armies were outnumbered by enemies, Jehoshaphat stationed worshippers at the front of his army to praise the Lord. As they praised, the Lord caused their enemies to turn against each other and they instead of fighting, they only had to collect the spoils of war. You live in the valley of blessing (Berakah). 2 Chronicles 20:21 - The word “mercy” in the verse is “hesed” in Hebrew which means grace. God’s Grace is the beauty of God’s holiness. “And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the LORD, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the LORD, For His mercy endures forever.”” (II Chronicles 20:21 NKJV) If you don’t know what God is doing, look at what the devil is doing and reverse it—that’s what God is doing. What Satan does is very visible. On the night that Jesus was born, it was a silent night. No one knew that the King of kings was born. But Satan instigated King Herod to kill male infants in Bethlehem and the surrounding areas. It was loud and visible. If the devil is attacking your health, then you know that God is sending you a fresh infusion of health. If the devil is attacking your finances, then God is preparing you to receive a breakthrough in finances. But going by what is visible isn’t God’s best. We have the Holy Spirit and can sense things by the spirit. Acts 2:16-17 - All flesh is experiencing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. God is going to pour out His Spirit on ALL flesh. Great revival is ahead. The church will not be lukewarm when she is raptured. She will be taken up in a spirit of glory. “But this is what has been spoken through the prophet Joel: ‘It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams. Yes, and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days, I will pour out my Spirit, and they will prophesy.” (Acts 2:16-18 WEB) Jesus’ finished work at the cross will stop all plagues in their tracks. Bring it before the Father as the basis for the COVID-19 pandemic to be put to an end.

19 July 2020 - Speak and See God’s Gracious Provision - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince shared how we can simply speak and see God's gracious provision flow in our lives, because Jesus was smitten on our behalf at the cross and is now seated in Heaven as our great High Priest! Praise and worship songs performed: 1. Way Maker - Sinach 2. I Want To Sing Until I Am Lost In Your Love - Malcolm du Plessis 3. You Alone - Don Harris 4. People Need the Lord - Greg Nelson Every good and perfect gift is from above. God has no virus in Heaven to give the world. But He is allowing these things to happen for the good of His people. Pastor Prince received a word from the Lord: “I want the church to reach beyond its four walls (of church buildings). I want the Gospel of Jesus Christ to go online and reach the four corners of the earth, because time is short (before Jesus’ return).” 1 Thessalonians 1 - We are seeing many end-time signs, like birth pangs of a woman, indicating that Jesus’ return is nearer than ever. The posture of a believer is not to look towards the grave but to look towards the sky for Jesus’ return. There is no death or sickness in Jesus’ kingdom. We are only waiting for one last part of our redemption: our bodily redemption. We will receive a physical glorified body that will never die. “and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.” (1 Thessalonians 1:10 WEB) When you come in line with what God is doing, and give of your resources towards that purpose, God will surely prosper you. 1 Kings 17:9 - When a channel in your life dries up, go “there”. God will lead you to a new channel of His supply. ““Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and stay there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to sustain you.”” (1 Kings 17:9 WEB) Hebrews 4:1 - Our promised land is rest in Christ. Local churches need to repent (change their minds) about the way they conduct church services. They need to go “there” in this season. “Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.” (Hebrews 4:1 WEB) Soul-prosperity comes from knowing Jesus. Numbers 20:3-12 - The fortieth (final) year of wandering in the wilderness commenced with the death of Miriam. She was Moses’ sister and precious to the children of Israel. They felt like they lost someone precious. When God brings you out of somewhere, it’s just a transitional (interim) period. He’s going to bring you into somewhere else. The children of Israel saw God’s faithfulness to them throughout the forty years of wandering, and yet they still murmured against Him. When people complain against you, it’s a good approach to fall on your face before God and find out His mind about it. The God of the Old Testament is the same God as the one in the New Testament. In the Old Testament times, God could only show His back parts because of man’s sin. He was always leaving man. But His heart is full of love and man’s sin barred the full expression of that love. Now after Jesus’ finished work at the cross, God’s love can abound unceasingly towards you. Jesus’ death removed the barrier of sin between God and man. Jesus’ death fulfilled all the righteous requirements of the Law, so that God is now righteous in being gracious towards us. Jesus is the fullest expression of who God is. When the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, she was healed. Jesus turned around because He didn’t want her to feel like she stole her healing. Instead of only seeing His back parts, the woman saw His face and heard about God’s love for her. God wants you to be well more than you want to be well. Aaron and Moses were brothers. The patriarchs had rods. Moses had a rod that turned into a serpent and also was used to part the Red Sea. It is clear that God was referring to the rod of Aaron in this passage, and not the rod of Moses. When some of the children of Israel rebelled against Moses and Aaron’s leadership, God showed that He chose Aaron by making Aaron’s rod bud with almonds. How can a dead rod bud? Almond is a picture of resurrection. It is a picture of Jesus’ death and resurrection. The rod of Aaron was placed in the Ark of the Covenant in the Tabernacle. The word “rock” in the passage is “sela” which means “high cliff”. Now Jesus has ascended to Heaven and is far above every principality and power. Now you don’t need to ask Jesus to come down when you sin or are in need. The rock doesn’t need to be smitten twice. Just speak to the rock (Christ) and your provision would flow. Moses failed and wasn’t allowed to enter the promised land. Moses represents the Law. Joshua’s (Yehoshua) name is similar to Yeshua. Only Jesus can bring you into the promised land. You can’t enter by trying to keep the Law of Moses. Moses dealt harshly with the people, against God’s will. They couldn’t see God but could only see His representative. God wanted to honor Moses and Aaron and give them the opportunity to be honored in front of the children of Israel. Imagine if Aaron had just spoken to the rock, causing the water to flow out abundantly. Moses hit the rock with his own rod of judgment. You can’t hit the rock with Aaron’s rod because it would spoil and the almond blossoms would fall off. Despite Moses’ grievous sin of misrepresenting God, God still poured out water from the rock abundantly. If Moses would not sanctify Him in the eyes of the people, He would still do it Himself. In the Rabbinical writings, it says that the first time Moses struck the rock, blood came out. The second time he hit it, water came out. They would never write something that purposely confirms Christianity. Showing God’s Grace to the people is the way to sanctify God in the eyes of the people. “The people quarreled with Moses, and spoke, saying, “We wish that we had died when our brothers died before Yahweh! Why have you brought Yahweh’s assembly into this wilderness, that we should die there, we and our animals? Why have you made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in to this evil place? It is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.” Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and fell on their faces. Yahweh’s glory appeared to them. Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, “Take the rod, and assemble the congregation, you, and Aaron your brother, and speak to the rock before their eyes, that it pour out its water. You shall bring water to them out of the rock; so you shall give the congregation and their livestock drink.” Moses took the rod from before Yahweh, as he commanded him. Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels! Shall we bring water out of this rock for you?” Moses lifted up his hand, and struck the rock with his rod twice, and water came out abundantly. The congregation and their livestock drank. Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you didn’t believe in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”” (Numbers 20:3-12 WEB) John 19:34-35 - At the cross, blood and water poured out from Jesus. The rock that Moses hit twice is a picture of Jesus Christ. “However one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe.” (John 19:34-35 WEB) 12 July 2020 - Understand Hebrews 10 and be Freed from Fear of Judgment - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes
Pastor Joseph Prince clarified the common misunderstandings about Hebrews 10 that cause many believers to become fearful of losing their salvation. When understood correctly, Hebrews 10 is a beautiful assurance of your blessedness in Christ! Praise and worship songs performed: 1. Latter Rain - New Creation Worship 2. Reckless Love - Cory Asbury The one thing that is needful is to hear God’s word every day. You will be worried about many things if you don’t first do that one thing. Jesus didn’t correct Martha for her service. It was because she was worried about many things. God’s word marks us for blessings and anointing so that we don’t share the common lot like the people of the world. The Bible is not an ordinary book. It is bread of life. Every time you spend time in God’s word, God speaks to you through it. You’ll receive a “now word” from Him. The second way God speaks to you is through the inward witness. When you step out of His will, there is a disturbance of peace and you’ll know to step back onto the right path. Joy and fear can not operate concurrently. Joy, love and peace thrives in an environment of security. When a parent corrects a child in a secure environment of affirmed love, the child feels even more loved. Hebrews 6:18 - This is the positive impossible in the same chapter. People are usually more focused on the “it is impossible for them to be renewed to repentance.” It is impossible for God not to bless you because He cannot lie, and He has sworn to bless you. “that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.” (Hebrews 6:18 WEB) 2 Corinthians 5:19-20 - When Jesus was on earth, He dealt with tax collectors and prostitutes without reckoning their sins to them. Healing and deliverance still flowed freely to them. Sin doesn’t stop revival. It is precisely because of sin that a revival is needed. It is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance. You have to preach the love of God and Jesus’ finished work at the cross, and not only keep asking people to turn away from their sins. God is already reconciled to you. It is you who needs to reconcile yourself to God. You don’t clean yourself before you take a bath. Jesus is the bath. Come to Him and you’ll become clean. God is not mad at you—He loves you. He sent His Son to die for you, so come back to Him. That is the Gospel! It takes the Holy Spirit to preach Grace because Grace is not natural. The Law of Moses is natural. “namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:19-20 WEB) Hebrews 1:1-2 - The context of the epistle to the Hebrews is that it’s written to the Jews, not to the Gentiles. “God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.” (Hebrews 1:1-2 WEB) 5 July 2020 - God Has Sworn to Bless You - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince clarified the meaning of Hebrews 6:4-6 which is a common stumbling block for believers who don't believe in eternal security. In this message, you'll find strong encouragement that God will surely bless and multiply you, even in these troubled times! Praise and worship songs performed: 1. Sons and Daughters - New Creation Worship 2. Behold (Then Sings my Soul) - Joel Houston After His resurrection, Jesus appeared to the disciples on a Sunday, and then on another Sunday. It’s like He’s stamping His approval on “the Lord’s Day”, representing a new beginning. The church gathers on the Lord’s Day, the first day of the week. If Noah fell in the ark, he just fell inside, but never fell out of it. You cannot lose your salvation. You’re eternally safe in Christ. The blood of bulls and goats could cover Israel’s sins for a year. Some people wrongly believe that when they sin, they lose their salvation. They are essentially saying that Jesus’ work at the cross is not enough as good as the blood of bulls and goats. Romans 4:25-5:1 - If our sins were not forgiven, then Jesus couldn’t have been raised. Because Jesus is raised, we know that our sins have been completely forgiven! We have peace with God. The word “have” is in the present, active tense. Actively receive that peace. “who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” (Romans 4:25-5:1 NKJV) Hebrews 1:3 - The cross is a once-for-all-time sacrifice. If you sin again, Jesus doesn’t have to come down and die for your sins again. The work of purifying you of your sins has already been completed. “His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” (Hebrews 1:3 WEB) Isaiah 54:14 - You will not fear if you’re established in the truth that you’re righteous in Christ. “In righteousness you will be established. You will be far from oppression, for you will not be afraid; and far from terror, for it shall not come near you.” (Isaiah 54:14 WEB) Isaiah 54:17 - Even if the devil forms new weapons against you, they won’t prosper against you. Being established in righteousness is the only way to truly live a holy life and to enjoy wholeness in every area of your life. “No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh.” (Isaiah 54:17 WEB) Romans 5:2 - We have permanent access to God’s Grace. Right believing will produce right living. Believing that you’re righteous by faith will produce the fruits of righteous living. The New Covenant is all about how the righteous shall live by faith. “through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:2 WEB) Have blessed assurance of your salvation will not cause a believer to go and live a licentious lifestyle. It will produce a sense of closeness with God that leads to righteous living. A secure environment produces shalom peace inside that produces good quality of work outside. |
