25 January 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Draw Near to God with a Heart in Full Assurance of Faith

When God restores, it's either greater in quality, quantity or both!

A true celebrity is one who has Jesus at the center of his or her life!

True success is when your family is serving The Lord. There is no point being a public success but a private failure.

Hebrews 10:15-25 - God wants us to come with a full assurance of faith in our salvation.
Faith does not deal with conjectures or uncertainties. It is sure. Jesus's work righteously paid for all our sins.
The Holy Spirit's witness is that God remembers our sins and lawless deeds no more - He was there at Calvary and witnessed The Father put all the sins of the world upon Jesus!
The Holy Spirit convicts the unsaved of sin, reminds us as believers that we are righteous, and convicts Satan of his judgement.
The Holy Spirit does not nag at us, but He guides and leads us.
Under the Law, the priests approached God with fear and trepidation because they could drop dead if they were unclean before the holy God.
But now, God has opened a new and living way for us where we can approach God with confidence and full assurance of faith.
Under the Law, the standing of the people of Israel were wrapped up in the standing of their high priest before God.
They didn't have a sure assurance of faith because their high priests were subject to change and making mistakes.
But now, under Grace, we have a perfect High Priest, our Lord Jesus Christ, forever! If we still act as though we are unclean as believers, it is a great insult to the perfect work of Jesus that purchased our complete forgiveness and salvation.
When we assemble ourselves together, it will result in the fruits of faith, hope and love.

"But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin. Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:15-25 NKJV)

Hebrews 10:1-4 - The sacrifices carried out under the Law are shadows of the true substance, Jesus Christ.
The people of the world avoid God because they have a sin debt on their conscience.
Man gained a conscience through partaking of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, and that voice cannot be repressed.
Our conscience can only be perfectly satisfied through the perfect sacrifice for our sins, the work of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross.

"For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins." (Hebrews 10:1-4 NKJV)

18 January 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Seeing Our Nearness to God Through the Sacrifices

God is The Lord of time. The Creator is not lesser than His creations.

The Lord gives you a word of knowledge, a word of wisdom, not paragraphs of them...

There are five offerings in the Levitical Law - burnt offering, sin offering, trespass offering, meal/grain offering, peace offering - three out of the five offerings are done voluntarily.
Only the trespass offering and sin offering are compulsory, but thank God that Jesus paid offered them for us permanently, through His own death on the cross.

Hebrews 13:15-16 - The word "sacrifice" points to worshiping God. The sacrifice of praise is a burnt offering to God.

"Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased." (Hebrews 13:15-16 NKJV)

In a world that has lost its moral compass, dare to stand out for God. Don't let the world squeeze you down to its level. The God of Daniel is our God too.

Philippians 4:16-19 - When you give to God voluntarily, it goes up to God as a sweet-smelling aroma and He is well pleased.

"For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:16-19 NKJV)

Leviticus 1:1-2 - " offering" (Korban - to draw near). When we give an offering to The Lord, we are drawing near to Him.

"Now the LORD called to Moses, and spoke to him from the tabernacle of meeting, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When any one of you brings an offering to the LORD, you shall bring your offering of the livestock—of the herd and of the flock." (Leviticus 1:1-2 NKJV)

Trespass (Asham - guilt) offering - The injured party becomes a gainer by regaining 120% of what he lost.
