As Jesus is, so are we in this world. If it said as Jesus was, it would be good enough, but it says “as Jesus is”.
Life is about beholding the Lord Jesus. 

For everything in life, the answer is to “see Jesus”. See Jesus by listening to a sermon or reading God’s word.
Don’t depend on visions because demons can give visions too.

The first recorded thing that Jesus did after rising from the dead is to dry a woman’s tears.
On that same day, Jesus walked on the Road to Emmaus with a couple (Clopas and his wife) who were depressed and disappointed. 
To the couple, Israel was the main attraction and Jesus was just a means to an end.
The Lord was about to change that by expounding the Scriptures to them. 
Emmaus means “warm baths”. 
The couple said that their hearts were warm when listening to Jesus speak. 
Why did God restrain their eyes from recognizing Jesus? 
It was more important for them to see Jesus in the word than in person.
They only recognized Jesus in the breaking of bread — they were allowed to recognize Him through that. 

The Book of Hebrews is all about showing that Jesus is better than everything else. 

The main thrust of the church is to expound Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 

Holiness is a term has been so misconstrued and maligned. 
The word “holy” comes from the word “whole”. Do you want to be whole?
To be holy is to be uncommon. We don’t have to fit in with the world.

Every marriage must have a third party: Jesus. Marriage is when two broken people are brought together. 
Don’t unconsciously put your spouse in Jesus’ place and start demanding from your spouse only what the Lord can provide. 

When your pastors go away to Israel, you stand to benefit because they will return with torrential streams of revelation to feed you with.

Genesis 49:1 - Jacob’s blessings are prophecies about Jesus.

“Jacob called to his sons, and said: “Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which will happen to you in the days to come.” (Genesis 49:1 WEB)

Genesis 49:28 - Everything in Genesis 49 are blessings that must be understood with Jesus as the key to unlock them. 

“All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father spoke to them and blessed them. He blessed everyone according to his blessing.” (Genesis 49:28 WEB)

Matthew 24:

“Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple. But he answered them, “You see all of these things, don’t you? Most certainly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down.”” (Matthew 24:1-2 WEB)

Jesus’ words were fulfilled in AD 70 when the Roman armies destroyed the temple.

“As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?”” (Matthew 24:3 WEB)

The disciples asked Jesus three different questions:

1. When will these things be?
2. What is the sign of Your coming?
3. What is the sign of the end of the age?

“Jesus answered them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will lead many astray. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places. But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.” (Matthew 24:4-8 WEB)

The above are the signs of the end times, before the Great Tribulation — The marking point that shows this is “these things are the beginning of birth pains”.
Everything stated in the passage above have been happening already. 
There have been more earthquakes in recent decades than in all previous decades put together. We are already in the end times. 
This tells us that the Rapture is very near, right around the corner. 

““Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:9-14 NKJV)

The above is talking about the Great Tribulation. 
The Tribulation will be a time of great global hatred towards the Jews. 
The Antichrist will likely blame all the bad things happening around the world on the Jews. 
“But he who endures to the end will be saved”:  During the Great Tribulation, only those who believe in Jesus and don’t accept the Mark of the Beast will be saved at the end of the Great Tribulation when Jesus returns at His Second Coming (Revelation 14:11). 
The Gospel will only finally be preached in all the world during the Great Tribulation. 

““When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take out the things that are in his house. Let him who is in the field not return back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are with child and to nursing mothers in those days! Pray that your flight will not be in the winter, nor on a Sabbath, for then there will be great oppression, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be. Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.” (Matthew 24:15-22 WEB)

The abomination of desolation will be something blasphemous set up at the site of God’s temple in Jerusalem during the Great Tribulation — most probably the image of the Antichrist/Beast (Revelation 13:15).
At that time, the Jews in Judea are to flee to the mountains to escape the Antichrist’s persecution. 
The Great Tribulation is shortened thanks to God’s mercy upon those who will believe in Jesus during the Tribulation. They won’t have the Holy Spirit indwelling them at that time — the Holy Spirit will not be on earth (2 Thessalonians 2:6-7).
No one (without the empowerment of the 
Holy Spirit) could ever endure that much suffering and not accept the Mark of the Beast — man is not limitlessly faithful, but God is very merciful towards His people. 

““Then if any man tells you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There,’ don’t believe it. For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones. “Behold, I have told you beforehand. If therefore they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ don’t go out; ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ don’t believe it. For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:23-27 WEB)

During the Great Tribulation, the main false Christ will be the Antichrist and the main false prophet will be the False Prophet (Revelation 13).
The signs and wonders that they will do are false ones, done by deception (possibly using advanced human technology to produce convincing illusions and man-made natural phenomenon).
The Second Coming of Christ will not be an obscure, secretive event like the Rapture.
Everyone on earth at that time will know it because of the glorious way it will happen. 

“For wherever the carcass is, there is where the vultures gather together.” (Matthew 24:28 WEB)

The battlefield near Jerusalem where Jesus will slay the Antichrist and his wicked armies is where the vultures will gather to. 
The birds will feast on their corpses (Revelation 19:11-21).

你身病时不要把自己当成病人。你是健康的。

神是在第六天才造人的。他没有忘记制造人需要生存的东西。
人不完美，可是神还是爱我们的。
他早知道人会堕落的，可是他早就知道一切了— 他知道他会派耶稣来世为我们而死。

你看着别人一定会失望的。看耶稣一定不会失望的。

Hi dear reader, we just attended Disney on Ice at Singapore Indoor Stadium earlier today. It was the first-time ever for Maeleth, Amilee and I. 

In short, the experience was world-class and awesome! 

I don't want to give away too much spoilers in this post in case you're planning to go over the next few days (the show runs until 24 March 2019) so I'll focus on sharing tips on how you can stay ahead of the horde of show-goers before and after the show!

There is a lot of debating going on online about the sequence of end-time events and whether the Rapture will happen before, during or after the Great Tribulation. 

In case you’re unfamiliar with the terms, let me explain what is the Rapture and what is the Great Tribulation.

The name “Rapture” is not found in the Bible, but is a term coined by believers to refer to this event:

“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left to the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.” (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 WEB)

The Great Tribulation is a future period of 7 years of great suffering on earth due to the tyrannical rule of an evil global dictator called the Antichrist, and also God’s judgment and wrath being poured out into the world:

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.” (Matthew 24:21-22 NKJV)

These “elect” are not us. It’s talking about the people who become believers during the Great Tribulation. They are “elect” and not “saints” because they don’t have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside them. ​

The Great Tribulation is shortened to only 7 years because if it dragged on longer than that, the elect would give up and renounce their faith in desperation.

During the Great Tribulation, salvation is not "once saved always saved". Only those who endure in their faith in Jesus to the end without taking the Mark of the Beast will be saved.

God is a loving God. Man not knowing this was the source of the original sin. 
Eve didn’t believe that God’s commandment was for her own good. 
The devil always presents God as not generous and always out for His own gain. 

If God compromises on His righteousness, the whole universe would disintegrate. 
God is holy in all He does, but the essence of God is love.
God is self-sacrificing and loving. 

You don’t have to give Him a reason to love you — that frustrates His Grace.
He is good to you because He is good. 

Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. 
This was shown even in the Garden of Eden when God clothed Adam and Eve with the hide of the dead animal and its blood. 

Every man has sin in his blood. That’s why the virgin birth was needed. 
Medical science has discovered that the placenta only brings food to the baby and brings waste away from the baby — it does not bring the mother’s blood to the baby. 
Mary’s sinful blood didn’t taint Jesus. 
The mystery of the Triune God: Three in One and One in Three. 
Jesus, one of the Three, came down to earth. 

Today if God rejects the sinner who believes in Jesus, in essence He’s saying that “Jesus’ work at the cross wasn’t perfect,” and He would have to apologize to Jesus. 
But God doesn’t need to apologize to anyone. 
He never recalls His word and doesn’t make any mistakes. 

God sent Jesus for this purpose. Through the cross, the holiness of God is magnified. 
The devil understands the Law, but Grace is beyond him. The devil is a lawyer. Jesus is also a lawyer.

Today God is righteous in making us righteous. The righteous basis is the cross. 
Our salvation came at such a cost, such that God’s only Son had to die for us. 
Without the cross, God cannot make us righteous. 

Imagine you’re standing in front of the world’s worst criminal. You feel love for him, compassion for him, and you want to die in his place for his crimes. 
To add to that, you even want to give all your assets to him. 
To man, that is double-whammy weird, but that is what God did for us. 

Hi dear reader,

A cherub is a type of powerful angel. Cherubim is the plural for it, and cherubim were stationed at the east of the Garden of Eden to prevent man from accessing the tree of life, after Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. 

​“And each one had four faces: the first face was the face of the cherub, the second the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. Then the cherubim rose upward. They are the [same four] living beings [regarded as one] that I saw by the River Chebar [in Babylonia].” (EZEKIEL 10:14-15 AMP)

What exactly does the “face of the cherub” look like as mentioned in the passage? 

Knowing this truth will help you understand the true nature and essence of a cherub. 

The prophet Ezekiel wrote that these four cherubim in the passage are the same ones that he saw by the River Chebar. He described them here:

“Regarding the form and appearance of their faces: they [each] had the face of a man [in front], and each had the face of a lion on the right side, and the face of an ox on the left side; all four also had the face of an eagle [at the back of their heads].” (EZEKIEL 1:10 AMP)

Notice that this time it says “face of an ox” instead of “face of the cherub”? 
The other three faces tally in both accounts.

So why is the face of the cherub equated with the face of an ox? 
I was confused by this for a while, until I meditated on it and the Holy Spirit dropped the answer into my spirit. ​

My Book Review:

Innocence Denied is a beautiful story of romance which caused me to choke up with tears. The ending is simply perfect and genius, and leaves me with a wonderful feeling of completion. I feel emotionally-investing in the success of the main protagonists which I endearingly call “Derrissa”.  

The characters grew and bonded very masterfully through realistic day-to-day interactions. Crucial knowledge was well hidden until the latter half of the novel. The Biblical and faith elements of the novel are very tastefully weaved in as well, which I feel will not turn an unbeliever off from reading it. I pray that Innocence Denied will reach those that are meant to be touched by this precious story of love. 

If I can offer any suggestions for improvement, it would be to see more action sequences such as the antagonists hunting down the protagonists and having their evil plans rebound on themselves. The antagonists’ presence is hardly felt in the story. As a result, I don’t really feel the peril that Larissa is in — it feels like Derrissa are in their little bubble world where no one else exists to harm them. I would be keen to read a sequel about what Larissa chooses to do after the ending of the novel. It will be interesting to see her find another man she can help who reminds her of her former self, to ‘pay-forward’ the help that Derrick had given to her.
