Who is Jesus Christ to you?

Jesus once asked Simon Peter, "Who do you say that I am?". It doesn't matter what others think or say about Jesus - it matter who you say He is. Whether He is just a man with good morals or the Savior of the world, it makes all the difference for you.

In this post, I attempt to put together what my blog readers from all over the world say about Jesus Christ. Let's write this post together! I will start the ball rolling. Feel free to submit your entry (just one sentence long) by leaving a comment below!

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who took on the likeness of human flesh so that He could die for all our sins at the cross, reconciling us who believe in Him back to God the Father forever.

The Savior of the world, the Giver of eternal life, my wisdom, righteousness, holiness, my Healer, my Provider, my prosperity, my all in all.

He is the true Light of the whole world - The Way, the Truth and the Life.

He is the Son of the Most High God ,the Messiah.

He is my everything.

He is the Lord and my Savior.

Jesus Christ the One who intercedes on our behalf!

He is more than I can explain.

Above all He is my Groom, I am His bride, I am one body with Him.

Jesus is the reason for my living - I have this joy in me every time I remember He lives in me.

He is the Alpha and the Omega.

He is the Word that created the universe - the Commander-in-Chief of all the Armies of Heaven.

He is the I AM in my life.

My Life - In Him I live , move and have my being.

He is the air that I breathe, my axis, my sanity, my life!

The true Lover of my life, Comforter,  Redeemer, Guide, the true Friend I can always depend on - the answer to all my problems.

He has a unique ability to love me as if i was the only one to love, yet love others equally to the same extent - Jesus is my ultimate peace!?

He is my life Keeper, my true Light!

He is the Tree of Life.

He is the not just the centre of life but Life itself.

He is Christ the Son of the Living God.

He is the Love of my life.

He is my Creator, Father and my Salvation.

My Messiah - King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Jesus is my great Shepherd - I was lost, but now i'm found and am living in the presence of God.

The only begotten Son of the Living God.

He is my Redeemer.

He is the Rock of Ages, my Master and my Protector.

Jesus is my Prince of peace and the reason why i am alive today.

Jesus is my Daddy and my Bestie.

Through Jesus Christ we are reconciled to God the Father and we can now celebrate our sonship!

27 January 2019 - Follow the Anointing of the Holy Spirit - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

Praise and Worship songs performed:
  1. In Jesus’ Name - Darlene Zschech
  2. Living Hope - Brian Johnson
  3. Hope of Glory - New Creation Church
  4. In Whom I Can Trust - Steven Wee
  5. Come to the Table - Ben Glover

At the end of the day it’s all about soul-winning - people getting saved.
In church we make things about God attractive so that people will be drawn to the Lord.

God’s word tells us that man looks at the outward appearance. Use that wisdom for God’s glory.
Ladies, do something about your appearance (do your hair, apply perfume, etc) if you’re still waiting for a guy to appear in your life.
A guy doesn’t look at the heart first - He first looks at the outward appearance.
Be wise as serpents. Be shrewd without compromise or lying. Be smart.

Hollywood presents a lie excellently as if it’s the truth.
A significant percentage of the church presents the truth in a slipshod way like it’s a lie.

Grain, wine and oil are staple products of Israel.
In Israel, grain is used for food, wine for celebration, and oil is used for lighting the menorah, and anointing oil.

Grain is a picture of bread which speaks of God’s word and the Holy Communion.

Wine speaks of joy and in some places in the Bible, of the Holy Spirit.

Oil is a picture of the Holy Spirit and His anointing.
We have an anointing on the inside that teaches us to do this or that, and to say this or that.
When we follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit, we will profit and not suffer loss.

Jeremiah 33:9 - The woman with an issue of blood was fearing and trembling when she realized that she was healed when she touched the hem of Jesus’ robe.
Fearing and trembling is not something negative.
In Hebraism, the idea is that something is so good that a person is in awe.
God wants to bless you so that people who look at you will be awed.
You will become a beacon of light, hope and wisdom -
a lighthouse for the lost who are being tossed about by the waves of the world.

“This city shall be to me for a name of joy, for a praise and for a glory, before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them, and shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I procure to it.’”” (Jeremiah 33:9 WEB)

In the past, movies never showed naked people having sex and children were never killed. Nowadays it’s common to have those in movies - moviemakers will show anything just to excite and earn money.

There are things that are only right in its season.
Children shouldn’t be watching violent action movies when they are little.

Kids Toilet Training Tips: How we Skipped the Potty and Started on the Toilet Bowl

Picture

I still remember how excited I was when my daughter Maeleth Sarah Goh at 30 months old (2.5 years old) is finally peed in the toilet bowl after so many months of encouragement.

She used to be so afraid of sitting on the toilet bowl and would cry and strongly protest everytime we attempted to carry her to the toilet bowl. But it's true that when she's ready, she'll do it.

Perhaps she grew taller and the hole of the toilet bowl looks smaller now to her than it did previously.
Whatever the case is, be patient and don't worry or compare when other kids are starting. When your child is mentally prepared, he or she will want to try.

The night when I asked Mae "Do you want to sit on the toilet bowl?" and she replied "Yes I want to try", I was so shocked. I was expecting the usual answer: "No!".
It's these moments in the parenting journey that are so fulfilling and amazing to experience firsthand.
My heartbeat was racing excitedly and when I saw her pee for the first time while sitting on the toilet bowl, my heart swelled with happiness!
Only a parent will understand this feeling. It's funny how the things that excite you change when you become a parent!

We skipped the potty (the little kids sized portable toilet bowl) because we feel that if your child gets used to the potty, then you have to retrain him or her to use the actual toilet bowl later on.

Without further ado, here are some kids toilet training tips that we believe helped Mae to eventually become mentally-ready to use the toilet bowl.

20 January 2019 - God Happily Forgives Us Freely  - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

Praise and Worship songs performed:
  1. My Abba - New Creation Worship
  2. Let The Rain of Your Presence - Danny Chambers
  3. In Your Presence I Am Content

In Israel, the spring rains come during March and April. The winter rains come during October and November.
Recently, the winter rains came at record level in Israel and broke a 5 year drought.

God’s word comes to us as droplets of rain not even harming a flower and doesn’t drop all at once to crush us.

A rare winter snowstorm happened in Israel just a few days back.
God’s word says that God will wash our sins whiter than snow. Jesus’ shed blood has perfectly cleansed us.

Isaiah 55:7-13 - The Greek Word for “repent” is metanoia which means to change your mind.
Grace is unmerited favor. God’s word says that Grace is not of works if not it’s no longer grace. Grace is not the empowerment to obey God. Grace is unmerited favor.
God will freely and abundant forgive us because He sent Jesus to die for our sins instead.
It was God who loved His Son so much and yet He was willing to give Him up for us.
You can tell how much God loves us by how much He’s willing to give up for us.
Sometimes the style mars the act of giving freely. But God gives both freely and happily.
Make your life a life of sowing and you’ll always be harvesting.
When you receive God’s word, you’ll prosper wherever you go. Get under the rain of God’s word.
2019 is the year where you’ll receive Holy Spirit-anointed messages.
God will lead you from within by peace or lack of peace because He’s inside you. He will not lead you with a voice from outside. Always be led by peace.
Sometimes downsizing your lifestyle temporarily for the sake of having peace is better than struggling to live a life to impress people with a false appearance.
Be careful who you give weight to.
You’re lending weight (kavod) to whoever you talk about.
The Hebrew word for curse means to “make light”. When you ignore negative comments, you’re making light of them and they will not prosper.
Regarding your financial health: we must go from the land of debt, to the land of even, to the land of prosperity. Prioritize paying off your debts.
Children gravitate towards Jesus in the four gospels. They sit on His lap.
Children have a keen sense of intuition - they know if someone can be trusted or not.
Trees were made with branches raised to look like hands raised in worship to God.
The woman with an infirmity was bent over for 18 years (6+6+6 = the number of the Antichrist).
When Jesus healed her, the first face she saw was Jesus’ face. This year, it’s time to look up and look at Jesus’ face.
Your need is just the place for God’s supply.
The New Covenant of Grace is based on this clause: your sins and lawless deeds I will remember no more.
This is what activates God to lead you internally and to be your protector on a daily basis.
There is nothing for us to do except to believe that our sins have been forgiven. That’s the safety clause.
Some preachers are afraid that their congregation will go crazy and sin if they are told that all their sins are forgiven.
They are going by their own low thoughts and not the high thoughts of God.
Be courageous with the Gospel. Tell the world that they can receive total forgiveness of sins.
If your spouse is unfaithful, pray for a hedge of thorns around your spouse and around the third party.
Pray for yourself to be surrounded by favor. Don’t show that you’re desperate. Fight the battle by praying.
Instead of thorns you will have cypress trees (also known as fir trees - the ones that Christmas trees are made of. The first mention of this tree is when David made instruments from this tree).
Instead of pain, you will have songs of rejoicing this year.
Instead of the brier (causes pain and itchiness), you will have myrtle trees (beauty).
Be a blessing everywhere you go.

“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will freely pardon. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it grow and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do. For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands. Instead of the thorn the cypress tree will come up; and instead of the brier the myrtle tree will come up: and it will make a name for Yahweh, for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.”” (Isaiah 55:7-13 WEB)

13 January 2019 - Receive the Firstborn Blessings - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

Praise and Worship songs performed:
  1. Hymn: There Shall Be Showers of Blessing
  2. Unmerited Favour - New Creation Worship
  3. Fall Afresh On Me - New Creation Worship
  4. Your Saving Grace - New Creation Worship
  5. Glory to The Lamb - Larry Dempsey

Not one trace of judgment remains for a believer. God’s heart towards His children is to bless and love.
God’s stance towards unbelievers right now is “Come home, Jesus has shed His blood”. He wants them to be saved.
Wrath and judgment still awaits and remains for those who keep rejecting Jesus, but that is in the future.

Pastor Prince ministered with words of knowledge and gifts of healings. All sorts of conditions were healed.

There is still sin in the flesh, even for believers. That sin is not imputed to us because of the blood of Jesus.
It has already been condemned in Jesus’ body at the cross.
We have a sheep nature, not a pig nature. Sheep don’t like to wallow in the mud, but pigs love it.

There is sin in us but God doesn’t see sin on us. Remember that when you come into God’s presence.

Just because there’s sin in us doesn’t mean that you have to act on it. See that sin in the flesh as if you’re just a spectator.
Don’t entertain it nor go further with it. Judge it immediately saying “No I don’t want anything to do with it”.

Anyone who says that there’s no sin in us is a liar.

Focus on God’s love for us and not on your love for God. Look to the Lord and receive His constant supply.
Live life looking vertically: before God, and not horizontally (looking at man).
We need a third party in our marriage: Jesus.

Jesus answered the scribe’s question about what is the greatest Commandment with “Thou shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind”.
However Jesus never taught us to do that. He was just answering the scribe’s question.

Visiting the Holy Land: Sites in Israel to Help Your Child Connect With God

Milton Goh and Amilee Kang also visited Capernaum, the town where Jesus lived. Many of Jesus' miracles as recorded in the four Gospels were done there.

About the Author

Jennifer Glenn left her corporate finance job to pursue her true passion of writing. She now prefers to spend more time with her three beautiful children.

The number of young adults and children that claim to be Christian has been falling. According to research conducted by the Pew Research Center, a majority of millennials, or people between the ages of 18 and 29 believe that faith in God isn’t necessary to be a good person with fine morals and that the number of young people that are confident there is a God has diminished over time.

This is possibly because the younger generations haven’t been able to connect with God and their faith in a way that makes sense to them.
Nowadays, millennials want to see and experience things for themselves and not just be told what to believe.

If you’d like to help your child connect with God, you might want to bring them to see their faith up close and personal directly from the source.
By taking a trip to Israel, you can show them 2,000 years of Biblical history and help them identify with God at some of these inspiring sites.

6 January 2019 - Vision Sunday: The Year of the Latter Rain - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Theme of the Year

6 January 2019 - Vision Sunday: The Year of the Latter Rain - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Theme of the Year

Praise and Worship songs performed:
  1. Shadow of Grace - New Creation Worship
  2. One Thing Remains - Bethel Worship
  3. Good You’re so Good - Brett Younker
  4. So Much More - New Creation Worship
  5. I See Grace - New Creation Worship
  6. How Great Thou Art - Stuart Wesley Keene Hine

The theme of the year is not just a custom or tradition. It is an emphasis that shows the overarching theme of what God is going to do this year.

When we leave the year it doesn’t mean that we leave the theme. We add on to the theme.

God uses trials to teach us to trust Him. He is not the source of our trials, but He can turn around what the enemy has sent us, for good.

There are two main words used in Scripture for Time: Chronos (chronology, time) and Kairos (season).
When you do things in season, you find success. When you do the right thing at the wrong time, it’s not effective.

There was a time whereby God dealt with man based on his performance.
God gave man the ‘Big Ten’ and they were blessed if they kept all the Ten Commandments.
However if they failed in one, they were guilty of all.
God gave us the Law to show that man is a sinner and cannot save himself - we need a Savior.

If a man looks at a woman to lust in his heart, he’s already guilty of adultery.
If you hate someone in your heart, you’ve committed murder. We’re all guilty. No one can keep the Law.

Those who know they are forgiven much, love much.

Who you are is the person you are when no one is looking. God judges based on the heart, not by outward actions.

Christianity is not a religion. It is a relationship with the God who created the heavens and the earth.

Since no one could keep the Law, God chose to disrobe Himself and come down on earth as a Man.
Jesus is not a new Moses. He didn’t come as a Lawgiver or Judge, but as a Savior.
Jesus saved us from eternal death, from our sins, sickness, etc. We are redeemed from the curse!

God loves man, but sin is in man. God hates sin.
Sin is like a cancer in us. How much you hate the cancer is based on how much you love the person.
God hates sin so much because He loves us SO much.

Jesus became a sin-bearer. All the wrath of God was exhausted upon Jesus at the cross.
There was no more wrath left for us after Jesus had absorbed it all in Himself.
Now God can accept man judicially.
When man believes in Jesus, all that Jesus accomplished at the cross is imputed to him.

When a person realizes how much God loves him, he will fall in love with God and fall out of love with sin.

When we don’t see the cross, we will unconsciously punish ourselves and the ones closest to us. That’s because the sin issue is not dealt with in that person’s conscience.

You can tell that a teaching is right when it points people to Jesus and not to oneself.

What is Gospel? The Gospel is “Good News”.
