30 May 2021 - Reckon Yourself Dead to Sin - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince taught that we are not progressively dying to sin, but we are already once-and-for-all dead to sin and forever alive to God. Reckon yourself likewise whenever mirages of temptation and sinful imaginations arise in your flesh. Give no importance to what is dead and the lie will vanish! Praise and Worship Songs Performed:
Joshua 13:1 - There still remains much more inheritance in Christ to be possessed. “Now Joshua was old and well advanced in years. Yahweh said to him, “You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.” (Joshua 13:1 WEB) Ephesians 1:3 - We have already been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ;” (Ephesians 1:3 WEB) Ephesians 6:12 - The devil and his demons try to attack the same heavenly places by hindering us from receiving our blessings. “For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12 WEB) 1 Timothy 6:12 - Our fight with the devil is a fight of faith by resting in Christ. The devil has already been defeated, so just remain in a posture of rest. “Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.” (1 Timothy 6:12 WEB) Sometimes we have a season of walking victoriously over sinful habits, and then we suddenly experience a breaking out of the flesh, even when we are engaged in good spiritual activities. Why is this so? There is difference between redemption by blood and redemption by power. In Egypt, the children of Israel were redeemed by the blood on their doorposts and lintels. The judgment of God had to pass by their household because a death of an innocent lamb has happened. This is a picture of Jesus’ sacrifice at the cross. In our daily life, there is an outworking of the Holy Spirit and that is the redemption by power.

23 May 2021 - Five Sure Promises of God - New Creation Church Sermon Notes (Pastor Lawrence Lim)23/5/2021 23 May 2021 - Five Sure Promises of God - New Creation Church Sermon Notes (Pastor Lawrence Lim)Pastor Lawrence Lim shared five “surely” statements from the Bible to ignite a confident expectation of good things to come in our lives. God has promised to “surely” deliver, heal, bless, and be good to you. Jesus will also surely come back to receive us to Heaven. Praise and Worship Songs Performed: 1. Raise a Hallelujah - Elevation Worship 2. Supply - New Creation Worship 3. Letting Go - New Creation Worship Psalm 118:1 - For every fresh failure, there is also fresh grace available for you. “Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.” (Psalms 118:1 WEB) Matthew 24:7-8 - There will be famines, plagues, and great earthquakes in the end times. “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places. But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.” (Matthew 24:7-8 WEB) Isaiah 60:2 -When there is thick darkness on earth, it is the time for the church of Jesus Christ to shine. ““Arise, shine; for your light has come, and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you. For, behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but Yahweh will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.” (Isaiah 60:1-2 WEB) Matthew 5:14-16 - This is the time for the church to do good and be a blessing. New Creation Church is partnering with Christian charities and organizations in India to help those who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. “You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16 WEB) Despite the bad news all around, Christianity is good news. God is only good and not evil. John 10:10 - The goodness of God cannot be exaggerated, but it can be undermined. God is good and the devil is evil. It is clear with no gray areas. “The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.” (John 10:10 WEB) 16 May 2021 - The Power of Association - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince taught that there yet remains much inheritance in Christ to be possessed. By associating ourselves with Jesus alone, we can partake of what He deserves—every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Praise and Worship Songs Performed: 1. Anthem of Grace - New Creation Worship 2. At the Cross (Love Ran Red) - Chris Tomlin 3. I Stand In Awe of You - Mark Altrogge We must not take protection for granted. It is a great blessing to have people who are praying for you. Psalm 91:1 - 911 is the emergency call number in the US. We need to live in the promises of Psalm 91. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalms 91:1 WEB) Psalm 90:10 - This is for the natural people of Israel. “The days of our years are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty years; yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for it passes quickly, and we fly away.” (Psalms 90:10 WEB) Psalm 91:16 - This promise of long life without measure is for God’s people. The word translation as “salvation” is Yeshua in the Hebrew which is Jesus’ name. “I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.”” (Psalms 91:16 WEB) Proverbs 2:6 - Every time we go into God’s word, we are searching out God’s wisdom, receiving the ‘now-word’ for us. God can make the written word, the living word. “For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.” (Proverbs 2:6 WEB) 1 Corinthians 10:11 - The things that happened to the Old Testament people are written as types, for our admonition. Even the names of the people have meanings. “Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come.” (1 Corinthians 10:11 WEB) There is yet much more land to be possessed, and God wants to give us the secret to possessing our possessions. Joshua 15:16-19 - Kirjath Sepher means “city of the book”. Achsah (anklet), Othniel (lion of God). The anklet represents possessing possessions by treading on the land. Achsah was Caleb’s daughter. Caleb was full of faith. At 85 years old, he did not even age since he was 40. Caleb conquered Hebron and took it as a possession. Caleb might have told many stories and spoken of his faith to his daughter Achsah, causing her to become a bold woman. Share your faith with your children on a daily basis. Keep giving them a taste of God’s things from birth. “Caleb said, “He who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it, to him I will give Achsah my daughter as wife.” Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife. When she came, she had him ask her father for a field. She got off of her donkey, and Caleb said, “What do you want?” She said, “Give me a blessing. Because you have set me in the land of the South, give me also springs of water.” So he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.” (Joshua 15:16-19 WEB) Revelation 5:2 - Jesus conquered the city of the book—He took the book from the Father and loosed its seals. “I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the book, and to break its seals?” (Revelation 5:2 WEB) Joshua 15:15 - Debir means “spoken word”. We need to be filled with the written word so that we have the spoken word. “He went up against the inhabitants of Debir: now the name of Debir before was Kiriath Sepher.” (Joshua 15:15 WEB) 9 May 2021 - Receive Superabounding Grace - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince taught that Grace is not just a topic—it is the Gospel! Unlike the Law which came in beside, Grace is the main agenda on God’s heart. Wherever sin increased, grace super-abounds much more in that area. This is the good news that has been misunderstood by many, even during the apostle Paul’s time, but it is a principle of God’s restoration. Jesus became the perfect guilt offering so that God and man can both receive much more than what was lost through Adam’s sin! Praise and Worship Songs Performed: 1. Rain Upon My Life - New Creation Worship 2. Turn your Eyes Upon Jesus - Helen H. Lemmel 3. Here I Am to Worship - Tim Hughes Romans 1:16-17 - There are forces that were trying to make Paul ashamed of the Gospel. The Gospel is not the revelation of man’s sin but the revelation of the gift of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ. The word “salvation” in the passage is not just salvation from Hell, but also welfare, prosperity, and preservation from evil. “For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek. For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”” (Romans 1:16-17 WEB) Romans 10:2-3 - It was people who were trying to establish their own righteousness that were persecuting Paul. The gift of righteousness will not make you have a ‘holier than thou’ attitude. It makes you thankful and humbled to receive a free gift. “For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn’t subject themselves to the righteousness of God.” (Romans 10:2-3 WEB) Ephesians 2:8-9 - Some legalistic people do not like this truth because the flesh wants to take credit and boast in its works. “for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB) Galatians 1:6 - Gospel means “good news”. The Gospel of Grace is the Grace of Christ. “I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different “good news”;” (Galatians 1:6 WEB) Acts 20:24 - The Gospel is the Gospel of the Grace of God. Grace is not just a topic—it is the Gospel. “But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.” (Acts 20:24 WEB) Hebrews 10:1-2 - If righteousness could come through the Law, then we would no longer have any consciousness of sins. But righteousness cannot come through the Law. “For the law, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near. Or else wouldn’t they have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins?” (Hebrews 10:1-2 WEB) 2 May 2021 - The Law of the Spirit of Life - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince taught us why believers still experience the effects of death in the body and soul if we have been set free from the law of sin and death. To receive the abundance of life that is in your spirit, you must believe and confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Praise and Worship Songs Performed: 1. As The Deer - Martin Nystrom 2. YHVH - New Creation Worship 3. I Exalt Thee Revelation 12:11 - Sharing testimonies is how we overcome the devil. We can share the Gospel through sharing our testimonies. No one can reason away your personal experience. Reading testimonies about what Jesus has done is a faith-building exercise. “They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death.” (Revelation 12:11 WEB) Romans 8:1-2 - There is no condemnation at all for us from God because we are in Christ Jesus. The law of sin and death came in when Adam sinned. God never planned for man to experience death. It was man’s choice to sin, and this brought death into the world. We have been freed from the law of sin and death. The law of the Spirit of life is a higher law that transcends the law of sin and death. The law of thrust and lift enables a plane to defy gravity and fly in the air. “Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.” (Romans 8:1-2 NASB2020) Jeremiah 29:11 - When you follow God, you are following the one who has good plans for your future. When you follow the devil, there is nothing but destruction waiting in front of you. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB) 2 Corinthians 4:13 - Faith is speaking what you believe. “But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, “I believed, and therefore I spoke.” We also believe, and therefore also we speak;” (2 Corinthians 4:13 WEB) Psalm 116:10 - This is where Paul quoted from. “I believed, therefore I said, “I was greatly afflicted.”” (Psalms 116:10 WEB) Genesis 1:3-4 - God’s way is to speak first and then see the manifestation of what He spoke. We are made in the image of God. “God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness.” (Genesis 1:3-4 WEB) Romans 10:9 - This is how you appropriate all the things of God: believing with the heart and speaking with the mouth. “that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9 WEB) 1 Corinthians 1:30 - Whatever happened to Jesus has happened to you. You are in Christ. When He died, you died with Him. You were buried with Him. You were resurrected with Him. You were seated with Him in Heaven. “Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:” (1 Corinthians 1:30 WEB) Romans 8:3 - Sin was fully punished in Jesus’ flesh. “For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;” (Romans 8:3 WEB) 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Your spirit is now a new creation. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB) Romans 12:2 - Our spirit has been perfected, but our mind still has to be constantly renewed. “Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2 WEB) Ephesians 4:23 - Another confirmation that the mind has to be constantly renewed. “and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,” (Ephesians 4:23 WEB) Genesis 1:27 - Just as God has Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we are also beings with three parts: spirit, soul, body. “God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27 WEB) Genesis 2:7 - Adam’s body was like a mannequin at first before God breathed an eternal spirit into Adam. When man dies in his body, his spirit has to be either housed in Heaven or Hell. “Yahweh God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7 WEB) Genesis 2:17 - When Adam sinned, he died spiritually first, and eventually he died bodily. “but you shall not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.”” (Genesis 2:17 WEB) |
