Pastor Joseph Prince taught that we are not progressively dying to sin, but we are already once-and-for-all dead to sin and forever alive to God. Reckon yourself likewise whenever mirages of temptation and sinful imaginations arise in your flesh. Give no importance to what is dead and the lie will vanish!

Joshua 13:1 - There still remains much more inheritance in Christ to be possessed.

“Now Joshua was old and well advanced in years. Yahweh said to him, “You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.” (Joshua‬ ‭13:1‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ephesians 1:3 - We have already been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ;” (Ephesians‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ephesians 6:12 - The devil and his demons try to attack the same heavenly places by hindering us from receiving our blessings.

“For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 Timothy 6:12 - Our fight with the devil is a fight of faith by resting in Christ. The devil has already been defeated, so just remain in a posture of rest.

“Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.” (1 Timothy‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Sometimes we have a season of walking victoriously over sinful habits, and then we suddenly experience a breaking out of the flesh, even when we are engaged in good spiritual activities. Why is this so?

There is difference between redemption by blood and redemption by power.
In Egypt, the children of Israel were redeemed by the blood on their doorposts and lintels.
The judgment of God had to pass by their household because a death of an innocent lamb has happened. This is a picture of Jesus’ sacrifice at the cross.
In our daily life, there is an outworking of the Holy Spirit and that is the redemption by power.

Pastor Joseph Prince taught that we are not progressively dying to sin, but we are already once-and-for-all dead to sin and forever alive to God. We are already dead to sin and forever alive to God

Just a few days after the children of Israel were delivered from Egypt, they saw Pharaoh and the armies of Egypt pursuing them all the way to the Red Sea.

Exodus 7:13 - In the first, second, and third occurrences, Pharaoh hardened his own heart. In the last time, God allowed Pharaoh’s heart to remain hardened to show His own glory.

“Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them; as Yahweh had spoken.” (Exodus‬ ‭7:13‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 Corinthians 10:11 - When we study the children of Israel’s journey from Egypt to the Red Sea, we can learn why we experience breakouts of the flesh.

“Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 8:8-9 - The flesh is the part in us that wants to sin. You are not the flesh anymore if you have put your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
If you feel uncomfortable when committing sin and you want to stop, it shows that you are truly saved because the spirit of a born-again believer does not want to remain in sin.

“Those who are in the flesh can’t please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.” (Romans‬ ‭8:8-9‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 7:19-20 - The apostle Paul taught that the flesh is not who we are. The flesh pushes us to do what we do not want to do.

“For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, that I practice. But if what I don’t desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.” (Romans‬ ‭7:19-20‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Colossians 3:4 - Christ is now our life. Christ is our true self and our real identity.

“When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.” (Colossians‬ ‭3:4‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 John 4:17 - As the risen and glorified Christ is right now, so are we in this world.

“In this love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world.” (1 John‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ephesians 5:30 - We are members of Jesus’ body, of His flesh, and of His bones. We are even one with Jesus in our physical flesh.
Jesus definitely has healthy flesh and healthy bones. Possess this part of your inheritance as well.

“because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.” (Ephesians‬ ‭5:30‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 15:1, 5 - All we need to do is abide in Jesus. The vine life and sap will flow into us and cause us to be fruitful.
God the Father will prune us to make us more fruitful.

““I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer…I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John‬ ‭15:1, 5‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The Father never sees us as apart from His Son. We are seated with Christ as joint-heirs.

Genesis 22:2 - Jesus is precious to God the Father. He is the only begotten Son whom the Father loves.

“He said, “Now take your son, your only son, whom you love, even Isaac, and go into the land of Moriah. Offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will tell you of.”” (Genesis‬ ‭22:2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Genesis 22:13 - A ram with horns is a mature ram. It knew fully well what was happening, and it went into the thorns on purpose.

“Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and saw that behind him was a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering instead of his son.” (Genesis‬ ‭22:13‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ephesians 1:6 - The words “gave us favor” in the original Greek is “charitoo” which means high favored.

“to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely gave us favor in the Beloved,” (Ephesians‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Luke 1:28 - The only other time “charitoo” is used is when the archangel Gabriel called Mary “highly favored”.

“Having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, you highly favored one! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women!”” (Luke‬ ‭1:28‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 John 1:7 - Jesus did not just die for our sins. He died as you. God removed the factory of sins (the “old man”).

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Galatians 2:20 - Your old real self has been crucified with Christ. Now you are in Christ risen. We do not live by our own puny faith, but by the faith of the Son of God.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

Pastor Prince shared a testimony about a 4 year-old autistic boy who was healed after his mother constantly declared “As Jesus is, so is he in this world” over her son. Previously, the boy was mute and did not speak at all. After declaring for a while, he began to speak clearly, and now declares “As Jesus is, so I am in this world” every day.

John 20:29 - The devil has convinced many of us that we are what we feel and what we experience. However, we walk by faith, not by sight.

“Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed.”” (John‬ ‭20:29‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 6:9-11 - We reckon (in Greek: “logizomai”) ourselves dead to sin not so that it will become real. We have already died to sin once and for all. We are simply agreeing with the truth.
Logizomai is not about suppositions, but facts.
Example: We reckon that we have $25 in the bank because we really have $25 in the bank.

“knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no more has dominion over him! For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God. Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans‬ ‭6:9-11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Exodus 14:30 - We are as dead to sin just as Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Sin has no more hold on us. We have already passed from death into life.
God wants you to see yourself as dead to sin.

“Thus Yahweh saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.” (Exodus‬ ‭14:30‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Feelings are not the barometer for truth. God gave us feelings to enjoy, but not to measure truth with.
When feelings of temptation and sinful thoughts arise, reckon them as lies. We are dead to sin and alive to God.

Exodus 14:9-10 - The Red Sea is a picture of the cross. We are not on the side where Pharaoh and his chariots are pursuing us. We are on the other side where we have already crossed the Red Sea and our enemies are all drowned in the sea.

“The Egyptians pursued them. All the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen, and his army overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baal Zephon. When Pharaoh came near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Israel cried out to Yahweh.”(Exodus‬ ‭14:9-10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Romans 6:6-7 - The word translated as “freed” is “dikaioo” which actually means “justified”. We have been justified from sin.

“knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin.” (Romans‬ ‭6:6-7‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Guys, if you have lustful imaginations in your mind, just laugh it off and see it as a lie. Do not give it any importance or attention because the more you pray against it, the more you fall into sin. You are already dead to sin and alive to God, so do not acknowledge these ‘mirages’ of sin.

Hebrews 11:29 - The children of Israel had to have faith that the sea would not collapse back on them while they were walking through the dry land.
The Egyptians did not have faith and were only trying to walk by what they experienced, so the sea closed back on them.

“By faith, they passed through the Red Sea as on dry land. When the Egyptians tried to do so, they were swallowed up.” (Hebrews‬ ‭11:29‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Exodus 15:1, 8 - The first song recorded in the Scriptures is this song written by Moses. The song’s focus is the Lord.
The walls on both sides of the children of Israel were frozen waters (congealed: hardened; solidified) of the Red Sea.

“Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to Yahweh, and said, “I will sing to Yahweh, for he has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea…With the blast of your nostrils, the waters were piled up. The floods stood upright as a heap. The deeps were congealed in the heart of the sea.” (Exodus‬ ‭15:1, 8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The devil will always make a threat or temptation loom larger than it really is. Just face it head on and declare that it is a lie, and that you are already dead to sin. The mirage will disappear.

Philippians 3:3 - We do not look to ourselves, and we have no confidence in our flesh. We look to Christ Jesus as our source for everything we need.

“For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;” (Philippians‬ ‭3:3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

When we rely on the flesh, we negate what Christ has done, due to our wrong believing that produces unbelief.

Romans 8:1-4 - God has condemned “sin the flesh”. What God has condemned exists no more in His eyes. We are not in the flesh but in the Spirit. The ordinances of the Law are fulfilled in us (not “by” us)—the Holy Spirit gives us holy desires to do what is pleasing to God.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh; that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans‬ ‭8:1-4‬ ‭WEB‬‬)
