Unless the Lord gives, we have nothing. Unless He imparts, we receive nothing. So we must always look to the Lord. 
When you take time to be with the Lord in a service, you will often find that when you go home, the Lord has done something to the problem you’re facing.

We are the Benjamin generation - the eleventh hour generation. Jesus is coming back soon at the Rapture.
Our generation receives five times more revelation and supply from the Lord than all the generations of believers before us. 

The Bible says that the world will get darker and darker whereas the Church will  shine brighter and brighter.

Don’t be surprised when sinners sin. Moral degradation will happen in the world in these last days. 

The only way to transform people from inside out is to preach the Gospel - let people know that God loves them and forgives them. 

The church is where you come and receive from God. There is never a qualification where you must be holy or a Christian before you can come through the door. 

God wants individuals to be saved, not Christian nations. 
Some people are professing Christians but not possessing Christians. 
Such false believers are bad testimonies to the faith. 

Jesus said we are the salt of the earth. Salt makes people thirsty. We should make the world thirsty for the Gospel. 

Famine happens. It doesn’t mean that famine happened because of you. Famine is the time where you stop and assess your life. It may feel like everything is working against you and not for you. You need God's wisdom to help you out of that season - keep on persevering in sowing and giving too!

Persevere in sowing in the midst of your famine season

Millionaires may think that they have everything, but if they don’t have Jesus, they don’t have anything. It’s still emptiness. 
God loves you, but money is not the answer. 
Don’t spend your early life pursuing money and spend the latter days of your life returning the money to get back your health. 
Money is important, but it’s not to be our idol. We use money to serve the Lord. When you pursue the Lord, let money come to you. 
The Bible says let not the rich glory in their riches and let not the strong rely on their strength. 
Let not the wise glory in his wisdom, but boast in the fact that he knows Jesus. Our trust should be in Jesus. 

Be kind to the migrant workers in Singapore. Be thankful to them because they are building the infrastructure of our nation.

When we bless the needy, we are doing it for the Lord, and for those precious people that God loves. 

Genesis 26:1-4 - Famine happens. It doesn’t mean that famine happened because of you. 
Famine is the time where you stop and assess your life. 
It may feel like everything is working against you and not for you. 
All things may not be good, but all things will work together for good for those who love Jesus. 
God is for you and not against you. He is for your happiness. 
When God wrote the Bible, He was successful already. He wrote it for you to be successful. 
The greatest success is to know God, and then to make Him known. 
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. 
The people of the world may have knowledge - they may be scholarly, but wisdom is for believers.
Solomon’s wisdom excelled all the wisdom of the East.  
Isaac was in the land of milk and honey but he found that someone else (Abimelech) was the head and he was the tail.
God allows us to go through some tests in life to show us who we are and where our flaws are. We don’t know how prideful we are until someone cuts in front of us.
God loves us and wants to strengthen us with all might unto all patience/perseverance/long-suffering. We will end up complete and entire, lacking nothing.
Perseverance is for adverse situations. Patience is for dealing with people who are against you.  
If you’re experiencing the school of God in a famine, you will learn to be humble and patient so that you’re ready to be promoted by God.
God prepares your character before He promotes you to the next level. He wants you to be safe at the higher level.
There is no such thing as a white lie. A lie is a lie. 
Even when things are going wrong, keep coming to church, keep praying, keep reading the daily devotionals. God will take you through the trials. 
When you spend time with the Lord, He rewards you with quality time. 
God will bless you with length of days, long life and shalom peace (health and wholeness). 
Length of days means your day feels like it’s a long, fulfilling day where you enjoy and get to accomplish a lot. 
The journey to Egypt (the world) is always going down. The journey to Canaan (God) is always going up. 
Whenever you’re leaving the Lord, you’re going down. The prophet Jonah was thrown down into the sea, and went down the belly of the sea monster when he tried to escape from the Lord. 
The word Egypt in Hebrew, Mitzraim, means “The Land of Double Stress”. 
The land of Egypt is hemmed in (sandwiched) by deserts. God doesn’t want you to be in a place where you’re hemmed in by double stress. 
For many millennia, Egypt enjoyed the River Nile but didn’t know its source. 
It’s just like the world not knowing that the good things they’re experiencing is from God. 
In the 1800’s explorer discovered the source of the River Nile - Lake Victoria in Uganda. But till today, it’s still disputed. 
God wants to keep the type that the world doesn’t know the Source of its blessing.  
When you sit down for your meal, feel thankful that the Animal was slain (a picture of Jesus’ death at the cross) so that you can enjoy the meat and blessings today. 
Before we knew the Lord, we were in Egypt. We just lived our lives in its dusty environment. 
One thing that’s preserved about Egypt in museums today is things about death. Do not have a delight for death. Death is not for you as a believer. 
The number one book in Ancient Egypt is “The Book of the Dead”. Jesus is all about life. Jesus defeated Death by dying. Christians don’t die, they fall asleep. There will be a generation that won’t even fall asleep because they will be taken up alive at the Rapture. 

“There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, to Gerar. Yahweh appeared to him, and said, “Don’t go down into Egypt. Live in the land I will tell you about. Live in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you. For I will give to you, and to your offspring, all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and will give all these lands to your offspring. In your offspring will all the nations of the earth be blessed,” (Genesis 26:1-4 WEB)

​Genesis 26:12-14 - You may be wondering why you’re tithing and giving but nothing is happening. 
The answer is to keep persevering in it.  
We are part of Abraham’s family. Abraham’s family sows in the year of famine. 
Before you begin to prosper, there is the sowing. 
There is such thing as the thirtyfold, sixtyfold and hundredfold blessing. 
Pastor Prince is against pastors who against their congregations prospering. Pastor Prince is against greed and avarice.
A pastor should be bringing his congregation into the Promised Land, together with him. 
The Hebrew word for blessing “Barak” means a blessing such that you’re to be envied. Your blessings will make the world jealous. 
If a Jew asks you how you are so blessed, you can reply “Your God blessed me”. He will wonder why you’re blessed and he’s not. It’s a good opportunity to share the gospel. 
Your life as a believer should be a testimony to the Lord. 
Don’t apologize when God blesses you, but don’t boast either. Give all glory to Jesus. 

“Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year one hundred times what he planted. Yahweh blessed him. The man grew great, and grew more and more until he became very great. He had possessions of flocks, possessions of herds, and a great household. The Philistines envied him.” (Genesis 26:12-14 WEB)

Deuteronomy 8:7-10 - In the Promised Land, there are both valleys and hills. You will go through low moments in life, but God will also bring you through wonderful mountaintop experiences. 
God will lead you into valley experiences to minister to suffering people who are afflicted by the devil. 
Pastor Prince encourages us to use olive oil, and also add it into your diet. It’s the oil from the Promised Land mentioned in the Bible. 
Pomegranates have many seeds. It’s a picture of fruitfulness. 
God wants His word to be honored and respected. God hides His truth deeply in His word to fend off the hypocrites who want to abuse His word. 
He wants only His people to have access to the riches of His word. 
In the Song of Solomon, it says that your head is like a pomegranate. God sees your thoughts and sees fruitful thoughts which are washed by the blood of Jesus. 

“For Yahweh your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey; a land in which you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper. You shall eat and be full, and you shall bless Yahweh your God for the good land which he has given you.” (Deuteronomy 8:7-10 WEB)

Ask God for wisdom every day - make it your number one prayer request

Deuteronomy 11:9-12 - God instructed Adam not to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. 
There must be an available choice of disobedience in order for free will to be real. 
When Adam ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, the Bible says in Hebrew that “dying you shall die”. 
Adam didn’t die instantly. He died spiritually first before dying physically. 
Man is called “Anthropos” which means looking up. Man was designed to look up to God. 
The crops of Egypt are produced with lots of stress and effort. 
The grass always seems greener on the other side. The world is envious of you. Don’t envy them. As a believer, you are the blessed one. 

“and that you may prolong your days in the land, which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give to them and to their offspring, a land flowing with milk and honey. For the land, where you go in to possess it, isn’t as the land of Egypt, that you came out of, where you sowed your seed, and watered it with your foot, as a garden of herbs; but the land, where you go over to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys which drinks water from the rain of the sky, a land which Yahweh your God cares for. Yahweh your God’s eyes are always on it, from the beginning of the year even to the end of the year.” (Deuteronomy 11:9-12 WEB)

If you’ve left your first love, go back and do the first works. Romance your spouse and the feeling of affection will come back.  Love is not a feeling - it is a decision.  Don't jump from partner to partner because you'll end up with the same situation after the initial freshness of the relationship runs out. 

I Kings 12:6-17 - Rehoboam was Solomon’s son. A wise father doesn’t equate to a wise son by default.
Wisdom is not impacted by osmosis. You need to teach your children to memorize and understand God’s word.
The greatest education is to know the Lord. It is soul, spirit and body. 
There are a lot of intellectual fools in this world. We should only boast that we know the Lord. 
Jeroboam represented all the people of Israel and he submitted an appeal for king Rehoboam to lower the people’s taxes. 
After Rehoboam’s tough talk, lack of humility and unwise decision, the kingdom was split into two: Judah and Benjamin on one side, and the other tribes on the other side. 

“King Rehoboam took counsel with the old men, who had stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, saying, “What counsel do you give me to answer these people?” They replied, “If you will be a servant to this people today, and will serve them, and answer them with good words, then they will be your servants forever.” But he abandoned the counsel of the old men which they had given him, and took counsel with the young men who had grown up with him, who stood before him. He said to them, “What counsel do you give, that we may answer these people, who have spoken to me, saying, ‘Make the yoke that your father put on us lighter?’” The young men who had grown up with him said to him, “Tell these people who spoke to you, saying, ‘Your father made our yoke heavy, but make it lighter to us;’ tell them, ‘My little finger is thicker than my father’s waist. Now my father burdened you with a heavy yoke, but I will add to your yoke. My father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.’” So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam the third day, as the king asked, saying, “Come to me again the third day.” The king answered the people roughly, and abandoned the counsel of the old men which they had given him, and spoke to them according to the counsel of the young men, saying, “My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add to your yoke. My father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.” So the king didn’t listen to the people; for it was a thing brought about from Yahweh, that he might establish his word, which Yahweh spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat. When all Israel saw that the king didn’t listen to them, the people answered the king, saying, “What portion have we in David? We don’t have an inheritance in the son of Jesse. To your tents, Israel! Now see to your own house, David.” So Israel departed to their tents. But as for the children of Israel who lived in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.” (1 Kings 12:6-17 WEB)

Proverbs 22:4 - When you are humble and worship the Lord, these good blessings are added to you.

“The result of humility and the fear of Yahweh is wealth, honor, and life.” (Proverbs 22:4 WEB)

Proverbs 9:10 - The devil has corrupted wisdom inside him.
The devil doesn’t fear the Lord, so he hasn’t begun to have true wisdom. 

“The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10 WEB)

Ephesians 1:15-19 - Always ask God for wisdom daily. 
The spiritual eyes of your heart see things long before your eyes of flesh see it. 

“For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints, don’t cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might” (Ephesians 1:15-19 WEB)

Colossians 1:9-11 - Don’t cease to pray for wisdom. It takes God’s strengthening to make you a stable, strong person. 
Jesus is first made Wisdom to us. The first (principal) thing to pray for is wisdom. 
Rehoboam didn’t realize that he was meant to serve the people as a servant king.
To people in leadership: you are meant to serve the people, not for them to serve you. 
When you acknowledge Jesus as your King, His kingly touch and authority is on everything in your life. The world knows not of it. 
We are nobody if not for the wisdom of God that’s imparted to us.
Ask God day by day for His wisdom. We need His daily bread. 
Don’t be independent from God like Egypt. Rely on God. 
Sow your way out of debt. Give your way out of lack. In the midst of your lack, persevere. Keep sowing (through tithing) and you’ll grow to become very prosperous. 
We don’t have to tithe, but we get to tithe. 

“For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy;” (Colossians 1:9-11 WEB)

Closing Prayer:
Pastor Prince prayed for us to acknowledge God as the Source of all our blessings and protection, that God would make our crooked paths straight as we walk into this week. 
That every valley will be exalted and every prideful mountain brought low. He prayed that we would be protected from tragedies, accidents and all the powers of darkness. 
That we will enjoy God’s favor and blessings and the true prosperity which is to know Jesus and His love for us. In Jesus’ name, amen!
