29 September 2019 - The Bible is God-Breathed - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship Songs performed: 1. I See Grace - New Creation Worship 2. Finished - New Creation Worship 3. Way Maker - Sinach 4. Goodness of God - Bethel Music The things of God are not for the exclusive few. It’s available for everyone—like air and water. When God provides, He provides in a way that everyone can use at home. James 1:17 - The world has good gifts from God—provision for everyone. However the perfect gifts are only for God’s children (believers), such as the gifts of the Holy Spirit. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.” (James 1:17 WEB) Matthew 18:20 - There is no local church that is perfect, but we all have a perfect Savior. At local churches, there is a corporate anointing where the gifts break out—Jesus’ presence is there in a manifested way. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.”” (Matthew 18:20 WEB) Sunday is a special day for the church to gather together. Sunday is the day where Jesus rose from the dead. The Emmaus road experience happened on a Sunday. Jesus appeared to the disciples from Sunday to Sunday. Paul waited to speak to the church at Troaz (aka Troy) on a Sunday. The first time the word “holy” appears in the Bible is in Genesis 1. God sanctified the day and rested from His work of creation. The word sanctified is the same word for made holy—set apart. Holiness has to do with rest. Learn to let go in your mind on Sunday and rest from working. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 - This word “breathed” is the same words as in Genesis 2 when God breathed into Adam’s body and made him a living soul. Every time you read the Bible, God is breathing into you. Every Scripture is God-breathed. Every word is inspired by God. Not one yud (small mark like a comma) or tittle will pass away from God’s word until everything is fulfilled (Luke 16:17). “Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 WEB) Proverbs 4:20-22 - God’s word has a healing, life-giving effect to everyone who finds them. It is life to all your flesh with no side effects. “My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body.” (Proverbs 4:20-22 WEB) You can pray over any oil you buy at the supermarket and it becomes an anointing oil. Don’t fall prey to gimmickry that says you have to buy a special anointing oil that was prayed over by a prophet or anything—this type of exclusivity is a deception. When the devil came to tempt Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus replied Satan with “It is written...” not “It is spoken...” He is the Son of God and yet He countered the devil’s temptations with the written word of God and not the spoken word of God. When Satan asked Jesus to turn stones to bread, Pastor Prince believes that the stones were transformed to look like the tablets of the Law—in other words, Satan wanted Jesus to find nourishment in the Law. But Jesus said that man does not live by bread alone but with every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. What was the word He heard from God before that? “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” We are to live by the revelation of God’s love today. Matthew 22:31-33 - Jesus argued through one word “am” that God is the God of the living. “But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.” (Matthew 22:31-33 WEB) Galatians 3:16 - Paul argues from one letter—that Abraham’s offspring is a singular and not plural. Jesus is the prophesied offspring. Every word of Scripture is inspired by God. “Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say, “To descendants ”, as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring ”, which is Christ.” (Galatians 3:16 WEB) When you read a daily devotional, look up the verse or passage that is given. Something good happens to you when you do that. Pastor Prince has a wide margin Bible and he writes down notes on the side as he reads the Bible. He is our under-shepherd—the flock should copy him. Get your own wide margin Bible and begin writing notes as God’s word speaks to you. Esther 6:1-3 - When you can’t sleep at night, read the Bible—it is God’s book of chronicles. You will see Jesus in the Bible. Mordecai represents Jesus in the Book of Esther. Mordecai means “little man” whereas Haman (the villain) means “the illustrious one”. A sleepless night plus reading the Bible equals to everything experiencing a turnaround. “On that night, the king couldn’t sleep. He commanded the book of records of the chronicles to be brought, and they were read to the king. It was found written that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, who were doorkeepers, who had tried to lay hands on the King Ahasuerus. The king said, “What honor and dignity has been given to Mordecai for this?” Then the king’s servants who attended him said, “Nothing has been done for him.”” (Esther 6:1-3 WEB) You have to rightly divide the word when you read the Bible. When you read the Old Testament, you must interpret the laws in the light of the New Covenant of Grace. The Law demands, Grace supplies. Law condemns the best of us. Grace saves the worst of us. 1 Corinthians 9:9-11 - When the apostle Paul looked at this law, he found a New Covenant revelation in it. This is the right way to read the Old Testament. The ox represents a minister of God’s word and such ministers should be amply rewarded for their work. All Scripture is written to unveil Christ and for our benefit. God wants all people to be saved—His priority is saving people, not saving the environment. “For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it for the oxen that God cares, or does he say it assuredly for our sake? Yes, it was written for our sake, because he who plows ought to plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should partake of his hope. If we sowed to you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we reap your fleshly things?” (1 Corinthians 9:9-11 WEB)

Enter the Tower that Truly Reaches Heaven“The whole earth was of one language and of one speech. As they traveled east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they lived there. They said to one another, “Come, let’s make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar. They said, “Come, let’s build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top reaches to the sky, and let’s make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad on the surface of the whole earth.”” (Genesis 11:1-4 WEB) There was a time that the whole earth under the sky spoke one language. The Bible teaches that the sky is a solid structure shaped like a dome: “God said, “Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. God called the expanse “sky”. There was evening and there was morning, a second day.” (Genesis 1:6-8 WEB) The word “expanse” in the passage above is “rakia” in Hebrew which means a solid structure that stretches out like a dome. Mankind wanted to built a tower that reached the dome of the sky (to try entering Heaven), to make a name for themselves—based on their own strength and ability, apart from God. The pre-incarnate Jesus came down from Heaven to see the tower that man was building, and He made an interesting statement: “Yahweh came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built. Yahweh said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is what they begin to do. Now nothing will be withheld from them, which they intend to do. Come, let’s go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So Yahweh scattered them abroad from there on the surface of all the earth. They stopped building the city. Therefore its name was called Babel, because there Yahweh confused the language of all the earth. From there, Yahweh scattered them abroad on the surface of all the earth.” (Genesis 11:5-9 WEB) God said that the people were united, and that in their oneness, nothing would be withheld from them—there is greatness in unity. God is not against man ascending to Heaven, but He doesn’t want them to try and do it by their own strength. God had a plan to restore mankind and bring them to Heaven through faith and not by works—it would be by God’s goodness and not by man’s strength. That plan is the cross, and we know that no one is saved by their works. “yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.” (Galatians 2:16 WEB) The word Babel comes from the Hebrew word “balal” which means “to confuse”. God confused mankind’s language and from then on, they lost the power they had in their unity. New Creation Church Mandarin Sermon Notes Archive (Including Pastor Mark Ng Sermons)This is an archive of all the mandarin sermon notes that I took when I attend mandarin service at New Creation Church every week. Most of the sermons are preached by the anointed and very humorous Pastor Mark Ng. 2019年9月22日 - 你有圣灵的神奇礼物 - 马可牧师 - 新造教会讲道笔记 - New Creation Church Mandarin Sermon Notes (Pastor Mark Ng)以赛亚书 60:2 - 在这时代里,黑暗已经遮盖大地。 (罗马书 8:26 CSBS) 22 September 2019 - Eat Your Way to Life and Health - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship Songs performed: 1. Raise a Hallelujah - Bethel Music 2. Who You Say I Am - Hillsong Music 3. My Abba - New Creation Worship 4. You Alone - Don Harris 5. Jesus - Debby Kerner Rettino Pastor Joseph Prince’s new book “Eat Your Way to Life and Health” is not written to sell as many books as possible because it doesn’t appeal to the world. Holy communion is an isolated topic. It is for Christians, and narrowing further, Christians who believe in the healing power of communion. Pastor Prince really wants to get the revelation about holy communion out to believers everywhere. Colossians 1:17 - The world is antichrist—it is against Jesus. The world isn’t antigod. We need to bring Jesus back to the center. Jesus holds all things together. “He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.” (Colossians 1:17 WEB) Psalm 78:24-25 - The words “bread of angels” is not translated well. It should be “food of the mighty” like in Young’s Living Translation. “He rained down manna on them to eat, and gave them food from the sky. Man ate the bread of angels. He sent them food to the full.” (Psalms 78:24-25 WEB) “Food of the mighty hath each eaten, Venison He sent to them to satiety.” (Psalms 78:25 YLT1898) Numbers 11:9 - The manna never fell on the ground—it fell on the dew. Dew is a picture of God’s favor. On Christmas night, the true manna from Heaven descended to earth. Whoever eats of the true living bread from Heaven will never die. Every time you partake of Jesus’ body and blood through the holy communion, you get a fresh infusion of God’s life. If man didn’t sin, man would still be enjoying God’s fellowship and all the pleasures of the Garden of Eden. Man’s fall and death in the world came because of one simple act of eating. We caneat our way out of death and the curse on the world through partaking of holy communion. “When the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it.” (Numbers 11:9 WEB) The early church broke bread from house to house. They were not satisfied with just partaking once a day. God’s love language is we receive communion. Jesus said to partake of holy communion in remembrance of Him. If you love Him, you would do it without complaining. Every Sunday, the early church set aside an amount that they could afford as much as the Lord prospered them. We acknowledge Jesus as the source of our provision when we tithe. Manna means “What is it?” The children of Israel didn’t know what the manna meant. It’s actually a picture of Jesus. 15 September 2019 - Set Free From Every Prison By The Blood of Jesus - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship Songs performed: 1. This is Amazing Grace - Bethel Music 2. Finished - New Creation Worship 3. Nothing But the Blood of Jesus - Craig Adams 4. God You’re So Good - Brett Younker God’s goodness cannot be overstated or exaggerated. His goodness is above all or we can think or imagine—He is good all the time. God has a special heart for those who are trapped in prison—it may not be a literal prison, but it could be a prison of sickness, hopelessness, depression, addiction, etc. God wants to set you free! Luke 4:16-19 - Jesus read from Isaiah 61 which was written more than 700 years before Jesus came to earth. Jesus added something to this passage in the book of Isaiah and did not read something in it. He added “recovery of sight to the blind”. This is a Messianic sign, to prove that He is the Messiah. Everything else that Jesus read can be done by anyone. Only the miracle of giving sight to the blind proves that one qualified to be the Messiah. “He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. He entered, as was his custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. The book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the book, and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”” (Luke 4:16-19 WEB) Isaiah 61:1-2 - This is the original passage Jesus read from. “The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of Yahweh’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;” (Isaiah 61:1-2 WEB) Isaiah 42:6-9 - Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would open blind eyes. ““I, Yahweh, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and make you a covenant for the people, as a light for the nations; to open the blind eyes, to bring the prisoners out of the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison. “I am Yahweh. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images. Behold, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I tell you about them before they come up.”” 8 September 2019 - Jesus is the Cure for Negative Behavioral Patterns - Pastor Judah Smith Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship Songs performed: (I missed a few songs before this) 1. Rain Upon My Life - New Creation Worship 2. What A Beautiful Name - Hillsong Worship 3. Communion (My Healing) - Michael Davis 4. Heroes - Bethel Music When we gather as a church, our focus is Jesus and our goal is to share Jesus with the world. Jesus is always the answer and the antidote to every problem. This message is for those who are stuck in a certain belief, thought process, habit or bondage. Luke 23:32-43 - When we don’t like something about ourselves, we project that upon others. We tend to unconsciously find someone that is worse than us in that area of weakness and judge him/her. This is to deflect the problem and make us feel better about ourselves. The two robbers on the cross couldn’t stop stealing until they were caught—it cost them their lives. The unrepentant man knew he was a robber but he thought that Jesus was worse than him—Jesus was claiming to be God. The repentant robber had great faith. He believed that the man suffering on the cross next to him was God who never committed a single sin. The repentant robber died not as a robber, but as a forgiven man. He went to Paradise. What did this man see in Jesus? The two robbers on the cross were in so much pain. Usually when people are in pain, they can only think about their pain. The only thing that can eclipse your pain is Jesus. He can captivate your heart. God doesn’t just remember you—you are always on His mind. God’s thoughts towards us are about how to prosper us, give us a future and a hope. Jesus must have smiled through all that pain as he assured the robber that he wouldbe with Him in Paradise. “There were also others, two criminals, led with him to be put to death. When they came to the place that is called The Skull, they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots. The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!” The soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar, and saying, “If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!” An inscription was also written over him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: “THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.” One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, “If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!” But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Don’t you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.” He said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” Jesus said to him, “Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”” (Luke 23:32-43 WEB) Matthew 27:44 - Matthew’s account records that both robbers were mocking Jesus. There is no contradiction with Luke’s account. It just makes the story fuller. One of the robbers had a change of heart. “The robbers also who were crucified with him cast on him the same reproach.” (Matthew 27:44 WEB) Mark 15:32 - Mark’s account also says that both robbers were mocking Jesus. “Let the Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, that we may see and believe him.” Those who were crucified with him also insulted him.” |
