1 April 2018 - Resurrection Sunday: Our Leprosy was Perfectly Cleansed - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlinePraise and Worship songs performed:
Jesus conquered Death, grave and Hell and rose from the dead. It was never God’s plan for man to die. God loves man and gave him free choice. Man can freely choose their actions but they cannot choose the consequence of their actions. God calls Death an enemy. The shortest verse in the Bible says: “Jesus wept”. Jesus wept at Lazarus’ tomb because it was never God’s plan for man to die. God is a Judge. He is a loving and generous God but He also has to exact justice. God is Love but He also has to preside as a Judge. Man chose to sin against God so Death, sickness and every bad thing came into the world as a consequence of the sin. God hates sin but He loves the sinner. To the degree which God loves us, He hates sin. No one could dream of God’s plan to send His Son to die for us so that He can be righteous in making us righteous. Man sins because they are sinners. Sin is hereditary in the blood because of Adam’s sin. A child doesn’t have to be taught to lie - they know it already.

25 March 2018 - Hypocrisy is an Abomination to God - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online
The gospel of grace opens up your heart and makes you generous. Of all the sins that Jesus publicly rebukes and exposes in the gospels, hypocrisy brings out that anger in Him the most. He responds this way because He loves them. The Mount of Beatitudes is almost acoustically perfect. The Father already prepared the place for His Son to preach the Sermon on the Mount. Leprosy is a disease that when you contract it, you have to be kept out of the camp, isolated away from people. Under the Law, if you touch a leper, you will become unclean. Psalms 147:3-5 - The world is full of broken hearts. God wants to heal us of our broken hearts. “He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.” (Psalms 147:3-5 NKJV) Under grace, Jesus touched the unclean leper and made him clean. Under the Law, the unclean makes the clean, unclean. Under the Law, 3000 people died at Mount Sinai. Under grace, 3000 people were saved on the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came. You will never feel that you are truly loved, until you know that someone knows all about you and still loves you. God knows all about you and still loves you. John 4:17-18 - Hypocrisy means “play acting - pretending to be what you are not”. Every time you pretend to be something you’re not, you won’t feel loved. Until you stop pretending to be someone you’re not, you cannot feel loved by God and God can’t cast out your fear and transform you. Like the woman at the well in Samaria. Jesus exposed her sin courteously. Jesus did the “divine sandwich” - He praised her first, exposed her sin, and then praised her again. The Bible says that Jesus “needed to go through Samaria”. It was not a topographical need. It was a grace need - He wanted to love her and save her. “The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.”” (John 4:17-18 NKJV) Never argue with a woman when she is rested or when she is tired. Basically, don’t argue with her. 18 March 2018 - The Anointing is in the House of God - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlinePraise and Worship Songs that were performed today: Freely Forgiven - New Creation Worship At the Cross (Love Ran Red) - Chris Tomlin When I Look into Your Holiness - Wayne and Cathy Perrin Reckless Love - Cory Asbury When believers gather together for church, something good will happen. There is a place in Israel called Bethel. Bethel means “House of God”. The first mention of Bethel is when Jacob was there. When God gave Abraham the promise of a child, there was also evidence contrary to the promise. Abraham and Sarah were both barren. Genesis 25:20-21 - Isaac is Abraham’s direct descendant. Abraham and Sarah were once barren. Now Rebekah was also barren. When Isaac saw evidence contrary to the promise again (he knew about his parents' struggle in conceiving him) in his life, he pleaded to God - he stood on the promise of God. The Bible says that all the promises of God in Christ are Yes and Amen. Keep on pressing in and don’t give up. “Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah as wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan Aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian. Now Isaac pleaded with the LORD for his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.” (Genesis 25:20-21 NKJV) Genesis 25:24-26 - God gave the once-barren Rebekah twins. When God answers your prayer, He oversupplies. He gives you above all that you can think or imagine. Esau means hairy. Jacob means supplanter (because he grabbed his brother’s heel). Isaac waited 20 years for God’s promise to come to pass. He was probably discouraged, but he held on and believed God. “So when her days were fulfilled for her to give birth, indeed there were twins in her womb. And the first came out red. He was like a hairy garment all over; so they called his name Esau. Afterward his brother came out, and his hand took hold of Esau’s heel; so his name was called Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.” (Genesis 25:24-26 NKJV) You are as young as you think you are in Christ. Start leaning in and taking hold of the promises of God. Don’t go by the natural and what you see. Believe what’s in God’s word. There was a problem. Isaac loved Esau because Esau was good at hunting game. Whereas Rebekah loved Jacob more. Rebekah came up with a scheme to trick her own husband to give Jacob the firstborn blessing instead of to Esau. Esau vowed to kill Jacob for stealing the firstborn blessing, after Isaac his father dies. Rebekah overheard Esau saying this and secretly told Jacob to run away and return only when Esau’s anger had subsided. That is how Jacob arrives at Bethel. If God Loves me then Why do I Suffer? (A Devotional based on Paul’s Journey to Rome in Acts 27-28)15/3/2018 If God Loves me then Why do I Suffer? (A Devotional based on Paul’s Journey to Rome in Acts 27-28)You may be going through a rough patch in life right now and you're wondering what is the purpose behind your suffering. In this post, I will be sharing why God allows our suffering and His divine plans for your future. In Acts 27-28, the Apostle Paul is being escorted to Rome by a Roman regiment because he appealed to Caesar concerning a dispute that arose between him and the Jewish leaders. It turns out that this journey to Rome was not meant to be smooth sailing. You know how we always hope that life will be free from problems and that somehow we'll never have to experience any pain or loss? What Paul was about to experience depicts the moment when we realize that it is just our wishful thinking. “saying, “Men, I sense [after careful thought and observation] that this voyage will certainly be a disaster and with great loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.” However, the centurion [Julius, ranking officer on board] was persuaded by the pilot and the owner of the ship rather than by what Paul said. Because the harbor was not well situated for wintering, the majority [of the sailors] decided to put to sea from there, hoping somehow to reach Phoenix, a harbor of Crete facing southwest and northwest, and spend the winter there. So when the south wind blew softly, thinking that they had obtained their goal, they weighed anchor and sailed along Crete, hugging the coast.” (ACTS 27:10-13 AMP) During the journey to Rome, the Holy Spirit prompted Paul to warn the centurion and his soldiers about a coming disaster that would happen to them if they did not heed God's warning. The centurion did not listening to Paul's advice, and instead chose to trust in the so-called 'expert' advice from the pilot and the owner of the ship. After all, Paul wasn't a pilot or sea-man - how was he to know better than them right? Well, the centurion was wrong. When I think back to times in my life after I became a believer in Jesus when terrible things happened, it was mostly because I ignored the prompting in my spirit and acted based on my reasoning or experience instead. When a decision you want to make feels right in your heart, as a believer you can trust that because God has put a new heart in you from the moment you were saved, and the Holy Spirit guides you from your heart. "Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My ordinances and do them." (Ezekiel 36:26-27 AMP) The problem comes when a decision is not so straightforward to make. If you go by the mind's reasoning and logic, it seems like a really good offer to take, but yet your spirit is telling you "No, there's something wrong with this". It's those moments that we have to consciously choose to trust the spirit and not our mind. “There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, But its end is the way of death.” (PROVERBS 14:12 AMP) When we follow our mind, things mess up - we cannot see the future with our limited brain, but God can see everything, from beginning to end. We must trust that God has our interests at heart and He's not just trying to spoil our fun. However, the good news is, even when we choose wrongly and follow our mind instead of our spirit, God's grace will still catch us when we fall. “and when the ship was caught in it and could not head against the wind [to gain stability], we gave up and [letting her drift] were driven along. We ran under the shelter of a small island [twenty-five miles south of Crete] called Clauda, and with great difficulty we were able to get the ship’s skiff on the deck and secure it. After hoisting the skiff [on board], they used support lines [for frapping] to undergird and brace the ship’s hull; and fearing that they might run aground on the shallows of Syrtis [off the north coast of Africa], they let down the sea anchor and lowered the sails and were driven along [backwards with the bow into the wind]. On the next day, as we were being violently tossed about by the storm [and taking on water], they began to jettison the cargo; and on the third day they threw the ship’s tackle (spare lines, blocks, miscellaneous equipment) overboard with their own hands [to further reduce the weight]. Since neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small storm kept raging about us, from then on all hope of our being saved was [growing worse and worse and] gradually abandoned.” (ACTS 27:15-20 AMP) When we choose to trust ourselves instead of God's wisdom, the negative consequences of our choices are unavoidable. The gift of free will that God gave man has to mean something. If our choices don't change the consequences, then the free will is just a big lie. Many times when we are suffering, we are still so stubborn that we want to fix the problems ourselves. We don't want to get God involved immediately. This reminds me of recent times when I was sleep training my 2 year old daughter Maeleth. When I relied on my 'smarts', experience and efforts to make it work, things just got worse and nothing was accomplished. But when I told God that I couldn't do this myself and that I needed Him, the deliverance came swiftly. You can read the full story of the sleep training journey and how it grew my faith here. 11 March 2018 - Live the Let Go Life with Pastor Joseph Prince on TBN (Episode 1 to 3) - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineEpisode 1 of Live the Let-Go Life with Pastor Joseph Prince: With God on your side, you can let your worries go. Letting go off your worries and problems is not irresponsible. It is the most powerful thing you can do. We have a Heavenly Father Who loves us. When we let go of our problems into His hands, we are letting His supply of grace flow in our lives. I Peter 5:7 - We can cast all our cares into His hands because He cares for us. “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (I Peter 5:7 NKJV) Luke 12:25 - We can’t even accomplish the least by worrying. In fact, it harms our health. “And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” (Luke 12:25 NKJV) John 10:10 - Jesus wants us to live an abundant, overflowing life, and that happens when we live the let go life. “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 NKJV) Philippians 4:6-7 - We can let go and receive the peace of God. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV) Psalm 91:1-2 - When you’re traveling, if God doesn’t keep the plane up, no amount of us can keep it up. You can lean back and trust that God is looking out for you. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”” (Psalms 91:1-2 NKJV) Matthew 6:25 - Jesus’ finished work at the cross has already paid for all of our blessings. When you worry about a particular area of your life, you are constricting God's supply in that area. It's like blocking God's soft golden pipes of supply. We have lots of grace in areas that we don't worry about. The supply is always flowing. It’s not that only when we pray then the supply starts flowing. God has already supplied and is still supplying. We just need to receive it - let go and let His supply flow. ““Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” (Matthew 6:25 NKJV) Let go and let God be God in your life. That is how you receive the breakthrough that you’re waiting for. What is the Purpose of Water Baptism? The Difference between the Baptism of John and the Baptism of the Holy SpiritIf you like this original Bible study, you can also check out my Patreon for more exclusive Bible studies, sermon notes, devotionals and eBooks that are not posted anywhere else. “Is water baptism really necessary today?”, “Is it a requirement for salvation?”. These are some questions that I had about water baptism. In this post, I will answer these questions and show you from God’s word what is the difference between the Baptism of John and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Before we begin, I’d like to define our main terms. The Hebrew word for "baptism" is Mikveh and the Greek word for it is "baptizo". In both languages, the meaning is "to immerse". I would define “Water Baptism” (in today's context) as: Water Baptism is when a person is immersed in water as a public confession of his or her faith in Jesus Christ. I’d also like to define what the “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” is: The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is when the Holy Spirit falls on a believer, immersing him or her. As a result, the believer receives spiritual empowerment as well as the spiritual gifts of speaking in tongues and prophesying. 4 March 2018 - Restoration for Every Regret in your Life - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online(Originally preached by Pastor Joseph Prince live at Lakewood Church on 28 October 2017.) God never plays catch-up. What God does is in the invisible realm and it will manifest physically. What is of the flesh manifests quickly but is not comparable to what God does. The devil always plays catch-up to what God is doing. If you can’t tell what God is doing, see what the devil is doing in your life, reverse it, and you’ll know what God is doing. Example: If you have sickness in your body, it’s because God has released health in your life. The people of the world only see what the devil is doing, but we need to see what God is doing behind the scenes. Don’t pray for God to move against what the devil is doing. We need to pray to see what God has done and declare it! Even when believers lose in the natural, they still win! For example: Believers don’t die, they fall asleep. When a believer dies, he or she steps out from the body feeling even more alive! Leviticus 6:4-6 - When God restores, it’s always better in quality and/or quantity! There are five offerings under the Old Covenant to depict the one act of Jesus’ sacrifice at the cross. This one is the fifth offering, the Trespass Offering. Trespass Offering is for what you have done, Sin Offering is for who you are: by birth, human’s nature is sin because of Adam's sin. “If you have sinned in any of these ways, you are guilty. You must give back whatever you stole, or the money you took by extortion, or the security deposit, or the lost property you found, or anything obtained by swearing falsely. You must make restitution by paying the full price plus an additional 20 percent to the person you have harmed. On the same day you must present a guilt offering. As a guilt offering to the Lord, you must bring to the priest your own ram with no defects, or you may buy one of equal value.” (Leviticus 6:4-6 NLT) When Jesus was born, midnight became midday when angels and the star lit up the night sky. When Jesus hung on the cross midday became midnight. Jesus cried out “My God, My God, Why have you forsaken Me?”. God forsook Him because at that moment, Jesus became our sin. It’s a divine exchange. Jesus received our darkness and condemnation. We received Jesus’ righteousness and blessings. Today our prayers avail much. Ours are prayers of a righteous man. |
