Jesus conquered Death, grave and Hell and rose from the dead.

It was never God’s plan for man to die. God loves man and gave him free choice.
Man can freely choose their actions but they cannot choose the consequence of their actions.
God calls Death an enemy.

The shortest verse in the Bible says: “Jesus wept”. Jesus wept at Lazarus’ tomb because it was never God’s plan for man to die.

God is a Judge. He is a loving and generous God but He also has to exact justice.
God is Love but He also has to preside as a Judge.
Man chose to sin against God so Death, sickness and every bad thing came into the world as a consequence of the sin.
God hates sin but He loves the sinner. To the degree which God loves us, He hates sin.

No one could dream of God’s plan to send His Son to die for us so that He can be righteous in making us righteous.

Man sins because they are sinners. Sin is hereditary in the blood because of Adam’s sin. A child doesn’t have to be taught to lie - they know it already.

Jesus' death at the cross has perfectly cleansed us of our leprosy of sin. His resurrection from the dead is the proof that we are justified and righteous!
Jesus' death at the cross has perfectly cleansed us of our leprosy of sin. His resurrection from the dead is the proof that we are justified and righteous!

Jesus' resurrection is the proof that we have been perfectly cleansed of our leprosy of sin

Romans 4:24-25 - The cross changed everything.
Before Jesus died for us, man was under the Law.
If we don’t know that we have trespassed, we won’t know that we need a Savior.
The Law shows man up. Just like how a mirror reflects who you are accurately.
The Law is holy, but by the Law is the knowledge of sin, not righteousness.
If you break one of the Ten Commandments, God counts it as breaking all of them.
None of us can keep the Law - we were all dead in our sins.
Jesus didn’t come to make bad people good. He came to make dead people live.
Under the Law, God demands righteousness from man. Under grace, God gives righteousness to man as a gift.
Jesus became surety for our sins. “Surety” has the idea of bail. Jesus became the personal guarantee for our liabilities.
When Jesus hung on the cross, God poured out all His wrath upon Jesus. Now God has a righteous foundation in making us righteous.
The veil in the temple was torn - God can now welcome us into His presence as His children.
It would be a sin for God to punish the same sin twice - it’s called the “Law of Double Jeopardy” in the courts of law.
Since our sins were already punished in Jesus’ body at the cross, God can’t punish us again for them today.
The fact that Jesus rose from the grave is the proof that we are justified and declared righteous by God.

“but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.” (Romans 4:24-25 NKJV)

The devil is the one that kills, steals and destroys.
There is nothing that hurts or destroys in heaven. There are no hospitals or courts of justice (because there’s no crime). That is God’s plan for man.
Jesus came so that we could have life and have it more abundantly.

Numbers 5:1-3 - Under the Law, the lepers had to be put out of the camp because they were considered unclean.
Jesus cleaned the leper, He stopped the discharge of the woman who had the issue of blood for 12 years, and He raised Lazarus from the dead.

“And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: “Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper, everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled by a corpse. You shall put out both male and female; you shall put them outside the camp, that they may not defile their camps in the midst of which I dwell.”” (Numbers 5:1-3 NKJV)

Leviticus 14:1-7 - Leprosy represents sin. The priest represents our Lord Jesus Christ and the one bringing us to the priest is the Holy Spirit.
The two birds: one bird represents Jesus’ death and the other bird represents Jesus’ resurrection.
The earthen vessel represents man. The running water represents the Holy Spirit.
The cedar wood represents the cross.

The scarlet represents the scarlet robe that the soldiers put on Jesus' bruised and bloodied back. By the time they stripped Him, the blood would have dried up and stuck on the robe and it would have been excruciating for Jesus to have the robe torn from His flesh.
The hyssop represents the sponge soaked with vinegar on a hyssop stick (John 19:28-30) that the soldiers offered to Jesus when Jesus said that He thirsted.
Therefore the elements mentioned in the cleansing of the leper in Leviticus - cedar wood, scarlet, hyssop and the blood of the bird that was killed - portrays fully the picture of Jesus at the cross.

In the Bible, 7 is the number of perfection and completion. The seven times of sprinkling of blood represents perfect cleansing.
The living bird represents Jesus and the one who is to be cleansed from leprosy represents us.
The living bird is only let go when the leper is cleansed - Jesus cannot be let out of the prison of Death until we are pronounced clean by God.
It’s like Jesus and Death got into a battle and Jesus arose but Death did not.

“Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “This shall be the law of the leper for the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest. And the priest shall go out of the camp, and the priest shall examine him; and indeed, if the leprosy is healed in the leper, then the priest shall command to take for him who is to be cleansed two living and clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop. And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water. As for the living bird, he shall take it, the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. And he shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose in the open field.” (Leviticus 14:1-7 NKJV)

If we end up in heaven one day we have Jesus to thank. If we end up in hell one day we have ourselves to thank.
God doesn’t send anyone to hell. We send ourselves to hell by choosing not to believe in Jesus.

Hebrews 13:12-13 - Jesus suffered outside the gate, where the lepers (which represents sin) were. He suffered for our own leprosy.

“Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.” (Hebrews 13:12-13 NKJV)

When Jesus hung on the cross, God poured out all His wrath upon Jesus. Now God has a righteous foundation in making us righteous. The veil in the temple was torn - God can now welcome us into His presence as His children.
When Jesus hung on the cross, God poured out all His wrath upon Jesus. Now God has a righteous foundation in making us righteous. The veil in the temple was torn - God can now welcome us into His presence as His children.

Today we can know for sure that we are as righteous as Jesus is

The only man-made things in heaven are the wounds in Jesus’ body. The nail-scarred hands and feet and the spear-wound in His side.

You are not just a face in the crowd. In the Book of Revelation, it says that one of the signs of the end times is that men will be identified by numbers. The Apostle John saw a vision of that.

Acts 13:37-39 - The Apostle Paul preached a clear message that we are forgiven of our sins if we believe in Jesus.
We know that we have forgiveness of sins because Jesus was raised from the dead.
In order to be saved, there’s nothing more for us to do except to believe in Jesus.

“but He whom God raised up saw no corruption. Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.” (Acts 13:37-39 NKJV)

Luke 17:12-16 - The leper who returned to give glory to God and thank Jesus knew who the true Priest was!

“Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.” (Luke 17:12-16 NKJV)

Matthew 8:1-4 - Jesus cleansed the leper on His way to Capernaum.
The leper was probably hiding behind a rock somewhere listening to Jesus preaching the Sermon on the Mount.
The leper probably did not have human touch for a long time but Jesus touched him.
By the time the multitudes found Jesus and the ex-leper, they didn’t see a leper - they saw a cleansed man. If they had seen the leper before he was cleansed, they would have stoned him.
The ritual for cleansing has never been performed until now.
The fact that a leper was cleansed and the ritual was performed means that the Messiah has come.

“When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”” (Matthew 8:1-4 NKJV)

Today in God’s eyes, you are as righteous as Jesus is. You are declared clean and justified.

Pastor Prince prayed a closing prayer of blessing for us based on Psalm 91. He prayed that we are safe in the secret place of the Most High protected from sickness, tragedy, accidents, and all manner of harm - God is our Refuge and our Fortress.
He encouraged us to pray daily to our Heavenly Father, to read the word of God and to never take God’s protection for granted.

Use these notes as a revision guide instead of solely depending on them!

These sermon notes are independently-compiled by me, and I'm just a loyal and regular attendee of the the church's Sunday services, and I feel led to take detailed personal sermon notes of Pastor Prince's anointed messages to share them with the world, which desperately needs the true word of God and the original gospel of grace.

I feel blessed to be able to attend Pastor Joseph Prince's services in person, and would like to help everyone who isn't able to attend in person, to get hold of the messages as soon as it is preached!

Hi there, thanks for your notes. I attended the 2nd service and hv a few points to add:
- The cedar wood represents the cross, not us. Pastor mentioned that it is widely available during the time of Jesus in the hills. It is the earthern vessel that represents man
- Scarlet: the soldiers put a scarlet robe on Jesus' bruised and bloodied back. By the time they stripped Him, the blood would have dried up and stuck on the robe and it would have been excruciating for Jesus to have the robe torn from His flesh.
- Hyssop: When Jesus said He thirsted, the soldiers gave him a sponge soaked with vinegar on a hyssop stick (John 19:28-30)
Therefore the elements mentioned in the cleansing of the leper in Leviticus - cedar wood, scarlet, hyssop - portrays fully the picture of the cross. I think these details are really important
