26 July 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Pastor Joseph Prince Hillsong Conference Europe 2015 Sermon - In The Order of MelchizedekWe have a divine mandate from God to rest in Jesus's finished work. When you work, God rests. When you rest, God works. Hebrews 4:1 - The Bible says 365 times not to fear. But only this one time, we are told to fear leaving God's rest. "Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it." (Hebrews 4:1 NKJV) The work is already DONE. The devil is already defeated! The devil wants to trick you into leaving God's rest. That which is visible is temporal, but that which is invisible is eternal. In the Old Testament, the high priest represents the people to God. A prophet represents God to the people. Jesus loves you right where you are now. He doesn't wait for you to clean yourself. He is the bath that makes you clean. We don't become a better man to get saved, we get saved to become a better man! Jesus is our High Priest forever. He has no successor. Whether we are accepted by God or not is not determined by how good we are, but it's about how good our High Priest is. We are not transformed by beholding our own 'gory'. We are transformed by beholding Jesus's glory. Psalms 110:4 - "Melchizedek" means "King of Righteousness". Jesus is our High Priest and King of Righteousness forever. "The LORD has sworn And will not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”" (Psalms 110:4 NKJV) People glorify the strong and the talented, whereas God glorifies the lost, the last, and the least.

12 July 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Expect A Harvest of BlessingsMost times when you see Jesus at comfort is when He was with sinners. Jesus didn't feel comfortable with the pretense, hypocrisy and self-righteousness while He was on earth. Luke 15 - The similarity between the three parables is the joy of the finder. It gives the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit great joy when a sinner repents and accepts Jesus as his Lord and Savior. It gives God joy to deal with grace. I Thessalonians 5:8 - "Sober" means to be present and focused on what you are currently doing. The Bible "hope" is a positive, confident expectation of good in your future because you are saved. Even when things are bad, know that you will go through that trial and not remain in it. "Salvation" which is "sozo", means safety from danger, wholeness, peace, health, and eternal salvation. "But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation." (I Thessalonians 5:8 NKJV) Trials of life happen to everybody, and sometimes Christians have to go through trials for the furtherance of God's kingdom, so that the body of Christ can benefit from it. Hosea 8:7 - In the Old Testament this is true. King David committed adultery in secret, and his sons committed adultery openly. King David had Bathsheba's husband Uriah killed, and David's favorite son, Absalom, was killed in battle. They never reap the exact quantity of what was sown. Today under the New Covenant of grace, Jesus already reaped all the judgement for the sins of the world on our behalf. "“They sow the wind, And reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no bud; It shall never produce meal. If it should produce, Aliens would swallow it up." (Hosea 8:7 NKJV) There is a different between "reaping" and "consequence". If you're smoking all the time and you get lung cancer, that's not reaping, that's consequence. If you go to a prostitute and get syphilis, that's also not reaping, that's consequence. You will never know exactly when you will reap, but consequence happens almost immediately. II Corinthians 9:6-11 - The whole context is on finances. Jesus was made poor so that we may be rich. Stingy Christians don't prosper. If you sow sparingly you will reap sparingly. If you sow bountifully you will reap bountifully. "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God." (II Corinthians 9:6-11 NKJV) Mark 4:13-14 - The context of these verses is that they are talking about sowing the gospel into a person's life. "And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word." (Mark 4:13-14 NKJV) I Corinthians 15:42-44 - This is talking about the Rapture and our future resurrected spiritual bodies. "So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body." (I Corinthians 15:42-44 NKJV) 19 July 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - What Does Repentance Really Mean?Micah 6:8 - We should do justice, but LOVE mercy. "He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8 NKJV) Everything left to itself degenerates. Evolution is just a theory. The Bible does not deal with speculations - it deals with "Thus says the Lord...". God wants to bless us. God's hands are so full of blessings and He can't wait for someone to receive those blessings through faith. God's desire to heal us is greater than our own desire to be healed. Just like how parents want their sick child to be healed, more than the child wants to be healed. Descending love is always greater than ascending love. Pastor Joseph Prince's commission from God is to pick up the original gospel, dust it off, and preach it. There is a heresy called "Lordship Salvation" - repent from your sins and you'll be saved. This is a dangerous teaching because it presupposes man's own ability to turn from his sins. The truth is the opposite: We have to get saved through Jesus Christ first, before we are empowered to overcome our sins. Repentance is "metanoia" which means "change your mind". It does not mean being conscience-stricken or remorseful for sin. If we sneeze and use a tissue to cover our nose, we will throw the dirty tissue away after using it. God is the only one who doesn't throw away defiled things (we are defiled by sin), but loves them instead! His love is not of this world. Mark 1:14-15 - Jesus was telling the people to change their minds about Him, to believe that He is the Messiah. "Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”" (Mark 1:14-15 NKJV) Acts 20:20-21 - Repentance must happen towards God first - changing our minds about God. After that, we will have faith towards Jesus. "how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." (Acts 20:20-21 NKJV) Milton Goh's Bible Study Notes Online - Old Testament - The Book of JeremiahThis is an original Bible Study. You gain access to more exclusive devotionals, sermon notes, and eBooks on our Patreon. Jeremiah 1:19 - With God on your side, you will go through the trials and emerge victorious! "They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the LORD, “to deliver you.”" (Jeremiah 1:19) Jeremiah 2:35 - God resists those who are self-righteous who refuse to admit their errors, but He forgives those who repent and submit to Him. Yet you say, ‘Because I am innocent, Surely His anger shall turn from me.’ Behold, I will plead My case against you, Because you say, ‘I have not sinned.’ (Jeremiah 2:35) Jeremiah 7:11 - This mirrors what Jesus said when the merchants were desecrating the Temple. "Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of thieves in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it,” says the LORD." (Jeremiah 7:11) Jeremiah 7:18 - There is no 'queen of heaven'. She is a false god. This is one of the errors that the Catholic Church is guilty of by worshipping the Virgin Mary. She, like us, needs the perfect forgiveness of God through accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior too. "The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger." (Jeremiah 7:18) Jeremiah 7:25-27 - God could have easily destroyed Israel completely seeing them descend into her complete sinfulness, but He has sent prophet after prophet to turn them back to Him. In the same way, our Heavenly Father is incredibly patient and loving towards us, not willing that any of us should perish. "Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them. Yet they did not obey Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did worse than their fathers. “Therefore you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not obey you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you. (Jeremiah 7:25-27) Jeremiah 9:23-24 - The only thing worth glorying in is that we know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and because we know Him, we continually receive God's loving-kindness! "Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD." (Jeremiah 9:23-24) Jeremiah 10:3-5 - Idols made by men can neither harm us nor help us. They are not alive. Do not worship them though, it opens spiritual doors for religious demons to attack. "For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not topple. They are upright, like a palm tree, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot go by themselves. Do not be afraid of them, For they cannot do evil, Nor can they do any good.”" (Jeremiah 10:3-5) Jeremiah 12:7 - God has a soul. ""I have forsaken My house, I have left My heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of My soul into the hand of her enemies." (Jeremiah 12:7) 3 July 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Pastor Joseph Prince Hillsong Conference 2015 Friday Morning MessageEvery knee will bow at the name of Jesus. The world is not anti-God, they are anti-Christ. Jesus has lost the centrality. Jesus wants to be in the center of our lives! When Jesus is in the middle of your life, all things are held together. Pastor Joseph Prince says that Pastor Brian Houston's new book, "Live, Love, Lead" is the best book on Christ-Centered Leadership. John 1:17 - Things can be "given" from a distance, but "came" is close and personal. The Law is not the truth. The Law is holy, but it cannot make us righteous. "For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." (John 1:17 NKJV) True growth is the growing awareness of how weak we are, and having a growing dependence on Christ. God is holy, but the aspect that God wants us to know about is His love for us. There are some things that we can get out of, but there some things we have to go through to enrich the body of Christ. Romans 6:14 - When we are under grace, we will not live a sinful lifestyle. "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace." (Romans 6:14 NKJV) Galatians 4:1-7 - When Israel was an infant, they were put under the Law. Grace is the original gospel. "Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." (Galatians 4:1-7 NKJV) The more we understand how much Christ loves His church, the more we are able to love our spouse and the people around us. The first response of a sinner towards God is the awareness of God's holiness, not the love of God. What needs to be taught is God's love. That takes the Holy Spirit. Every addiction starts with putting confidence in the flesh. We need to put all our confidence in Christ. When serving in ministry, some people are doing it for the wrong reasons. When we know grace, we will serve with faith, hope and love. We are the righteousness of God by faith, not by our works. Jesus is thrice-holy, and yet His holiness is approachable. Under Law, the unclean will make the clean, unclean. Under grace, the clean makes the unclean, clean! Matthew 11:20-24 - The way to reach out to the lost is through doing mighty works of God, not by telling them that they need to change their behavior. "Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent: “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.”" (Matthew 11:20-24 NKJV) Luke 15:1-7 - Being called a "friend of sinners" by critics is the greatest compliment because that's who Jesus was. No human shepherd leaves all his sheep to search out one lost sheep. Only God does, and He rejoices when one of us is saved! By consenting to be loved by Jesus like the sheep in the parable, we are repenting. It is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance. "Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.” So He spoke this parable to them, saying: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." (Luke 15:1-7 NKJV) When we boast in our own strength or complain about our lack, we are trusting in our own efforts. It is none of us, it's all of Jesus! He is altogether lovely. Jesus sees the unsaved as sheep without a shepherd, not rebellious people. Jesus is the Good Shepherd. Acts 20:20-21 - Repentance means "change of mind". Change your mind to believe that God is for you, not against you. When the Truth is being preached, repentance is going on. "You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house. I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus." (Acts 20:20-21 NJKV) Right believing produces right living. The righteous shall live by faith. Fruit of the spirit versus works of the flesh. Fruit is the result of life. Works is the result of effort. People can get very legalistic about faith. Faith is to help and to lift people up. Romans 1:16-17 - "Salvation" here is "sozo" in Hebrew which means healing, safety from danger, as well as salvation from hell. Paul's message is about being able to receive good that we do not deserve, because Jesus received all the bad that we deserved. It is not the traditional belief of doing good before receiving good. People suffering from porn addiction, drug addiction and all addictions, can be delivered. In the midst of your sin, declare that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The devil and your flesh will come screaming at you, calling you a hypocrite. The devil wants you to define yourself by your actions. God defines you by Jesus! "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”" (Romans 1:16-17 NKJV) If you are a believer, God will always see you as righteous, even in the midst of your sin. This is because what Jesus did at the cross is greater than the sin that Adam did. This knowledge produces a rest in us that allows the fruit of the spirit to be produced in us. Grace is the gospel. Grace is not a teaching, it is the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. You can't be under grace and not be holy, just like how you can't be touching water and not be wet. We should not condemn other ministries that don't have the revelation of grace yet. Romans 5:19 - Because of Adam's sin, sickness and death came into the world. God hates death. Sickness and death were not God's dream for us when He created man. God hates sin because He loves us. God hates sin to the degree that He loves us. He reconciled this by saving us, and judging Jesus at the cross. Jesus was condemned at the cross so that we have a righteous foundation to be righteous today. Once we are righteous, we cannot lose the gift of righteousness. We sin because we are sinners. We are sinners because of Adam's sin. By Jesus's obedience - One Man's obedience, we are made righteous! "For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous." (Romans 5:19 NKJV) Obedience of faith is nothing more than right believing. When we were sinners, there were some good things that we did. But those good things did not change our status as a sinner. Pastor Joseph Prince has never slept bodily with any other woman than his wife, Wendy. If we can stop the wrong and do the right, we don't need Jesus. Israel had the Law, but they were unable to obey it perfectly. I John 4:17 - Just as Jesus is, glorified at the Father's right hand, so are we right now in this world. "Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world." (I John 4:17 NKJV) Galatians 1:6-9 - Nowadays, preaching grace is widely considered as preaching a different gospel. In the beginning of the church, anything other than preaching grace was considered preaching another gospel. The New Testament double-curse is upon anyone who preaches any other gospel than grace. If we preach the gospel of grace, we will be doubly-blessed. "I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:6-9 NKJV) Acts 13:38-44 - Paul preached the unqualified, full, and pure gospel. As a result, almost the whole city came together to listen to the Word of God. "Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. Beware therefore, lest what has been spoken in the prophets come upon you: ‘Behold, you despisers, Marvel and perish! For I work a work in your days, A work which you will by no means believe, Though one were to declare it to you.’ ” So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God."(Acts 13:38-44 NKJV) The Bible says if we put new wine into old wineskin, we will lose both the old and new wine. There can be no mixture of Law and Grace. Not everyone is saved. That is a heresy. Only those who put their trust in Jesus Christ are saved. It is the devil's tactic to intimidate pastors into compromising the grace message, because of seeing people in their church who are living a sinful lifestyle. The gospel was designed for us to be understood, through the Holy Spirit. Preaching the whole counsel of God does not mean mixing Law and Grace. It refers to preaching grace and revealing Jesus out of both the Old Testament and New Testament. Acts 2:40-41 - When God gave the Law at Mount Sinai, the first Day of Pentecost, three thousand people died. When the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles on the Day of Pentecost, Peter preached a sermon and three thousand people were saved! The essence of grace is to supply us, the essence of the Law is to demand from us. "And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them." (Acts 2:40-41 NKJV) The devil uses the personal pronoun to drop a thought of self-condemnation into your mind. Don't accept it! Just declare, "as Jesus is, so am I in this world!" Romans 5:17 - It's by the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness that we reign in life! "For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:17 NKJV) The greatest way to honor Jesus is to receive Jesus, and all the goodness that He died to give us. He did no sin, in Him is no sin, but He received our sin and was judged on our behalf.
