29 July 2018 - Grace is the Cure for Bitterness and Sexual Immorality - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed: (I missed out some songs before this)
This world is a hurting world. When Jesus walked on earth, He saw the multitudes as sheep without a shepherd. He had compassion on them. God’s heart is so big compared to ours and He’s so generous. He wants to give, give and give again. He wants our obedience and trust in Him because the benefits are for us. When He tells us to do something, it’s for our good - He can see into our future and help us avert dangers. The Lord is the One who teaches us how to profit. When the children of Israel followed the cloud in the wilderness, they prospered and succeeded in their ways. Lovers don’t yell at each other. They speak softly and lovingly in whispered tones to each other. A soft answer turns away wrath. The Lord speaks to us in a quiet whisper. Elijah encountered God back at Mount Sinai. When Elijah went there, God asked him “Why are you here Elijah?”. Elijah thought that God would thunder down from Sinai in the fire, wind and earthquake, but God was in the still, small voice. God doesn’t discipline us with accidents. Accidents happen due to our own negligence or attacks from the enemy. God disciplines us through His word or through other people who are like us, but worse, so that we despise that same trait that we see in others. Hebrews 12:9-11 - When we submit to God’s discipline, we will live. Fatal car accidents are not God’s discipline because we won’t live. We partake of the Lord’s holiness by identifying ourselves with His holiness. Example: by declaring “The Lord Jesus is my holiness”. “Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” (Hebrews 12:9-11 NKJV)

Who are the Two Witnesses during the Great Tribulation? Moses and Elijah is the Wrong Combination25/7/2018 Who are the Two Witnesses during the Great Tribulation? Moses and Elijah is the Wrong Combination“And I will grant authority to My two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days (forty-two months; three and one-half years), dressed in sackcloth.”” (REVELATION 11:3 AMP) After my pastor friend asked me about my opinion on this topic, I dug into God’s word to study about the identity of the two witnesses who will rise up during the Great Tribulation, and here are my findings. Many people believe them to be Moses and Elijah, and I’ve ever read articles online saying the same thing, leading me to believe that before. This is probably due to the fact that these two witnesses will be moving in the same judgment anointing as Moses and Elijah when we look at the nature of the miracles they performed: “And if anyone wants to harm them, fire comes out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way. These [two witnesses] have the power [from God] to shut up the sky, so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophesying [regarding judgment and salvation]; and they have power over the waters (seas, rivers) to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every [kind of] plague, as often as they wish. (REVELATION 11:5-6 AMP) The fire and shutting up of the sky to have no rain reminds us of Elijah’s ministry. The water turning into blood and striking the earth with plagues reminds us of Moses’ ministry. However now after studying deeper into this topic, I don’t think that Moses can be one of the two witnesses anymore. When Pretend Play Becomes Dangerous for Your Child - A Christian Parenting DevotionalHi fellow Christian parent! There are natural laws in this world that are true whether or not we want to believe it. For example, you can’t walk off a cliff and expect not to fall down. Likewise, there are also spiritual laws that govern this world. One of which is the creative power in our spoken words. 22 July 2018 - Blessed through Discipline and Attacks - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed: (I missed out some songs before this)
In God’s kingdom there is no time. He can accelerate your growth, He can give you a miracle such that you get what you need faster than it would happen in the natural. In the midst of your sin, confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ. God calls those things that are not as though they are. Abram wanted children but he and his wife were barren. God changed Abram’s name to Abraham which means “Father of Multitudes” so every time he introduced himself, he was calling the things that were not as though they were. Right believing will lead to right living. Jesus said by their fruits you will know them. People can’t break addictions by themselves. It takes Jesus. Not by might, not by power, but by His Spirit. Not all things in our lives are good. Sometimes they are from the devil, sometimes they are problems of our own making. But God will work all these things together for our good. Jesus was never sick. Jesus never lacked financial provision. He is truly prosperous - There was always supply when He had a need. Jesus became poor at the cross. He was destitute of every material good there. He became poor so that we could become rich. There is still sin in us, but not on us. God does not see our sins on us - they were already punished in the body of Jesus at the cross! Isaiah 53:5 - The word “bruised” in Hebrew means “crushed”. The word “chastisement” in Hebrew means “punishment”. “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV) 18 July 2018 - Encounter Night: If God is for You, What can be Against You - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed:
Psalms 116:12-13 - The best way to thank God for His benefits to you is to take some more from Him. He sees that as a thank-you. “What shall I render to the LORD For all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of the LORD.” (Psalms 116:12-13 NKJV) Pastor Prince spoke prophetically that there’s a “turnaround” coming in your life - your finances, health, relationships, etc! This is a service of receiving. “Dead spots” in your life will come alive again (examples: parts of your body because of aging, your memory) The Holy Spirit who quickens the dead will do it. When God restores, it’s never the same like it was before - it will be even better. Your memory will be even better than before! There is a grace revolution happening all around the world. The revelations and word being taught from this church are being repeated in other ministries worldwide. When hearing it from other ministries, remember that you first heard it from the "authorized dealer" (Pastor Prince). The Bible says that we are transformed by beholding Jesus. We become like Him not by working or laboring, but by beholding Him. Teaching about Jesus is practical because the revelation of Him will overflow to other areas in your life. For example, the Bible says husbands love your wives like how Jesus loves the church. Having the revelation of the love of Christ in your heart will lead to you showing love to your spouse. The Bible says that we are risen with Christ, so we should act like the precious gold that we are. Not by acting 'high and mighty' or being arrogant, but by exuding the dignity of Christ - we are set apart from the world. Stones are common, but precious gems and metals like gold and diamonds are rare and valuable. Outer Space and the Truth about Aliens from the Bible - The Second Expanse of the HeavensThis is an original devotional. You can support our ministry by becoming our patron on Patreon. “The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And the expanse [of heaven] is declaring the work of His hands.” (PSALM 19:1 AMP) God’s creation is filled with lessons that we can learn about Jesus. After all, God’s word says that everything was created through Him and for Him. “For by Him all things were created in heaven and on earth, [things] visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [that is, by His activity] and for Him.”(COLOSSIANS 1:16 AMP) The celestial bodies in the sky are no exception to this principle. The Sun represents Jesus. The Earth’s Moon represents us. The Earth represents the world (both believers and non believers). The stars represent God’s holy angels. “God made the two great lights--the greater light (the sun) to rule the day, and the lesser light (the moon) to rule the night; He made the [galaxies of] stars also [that is, all the amazing wonders in the heavens]. God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to provide light upon the earth, to rule over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good and He affirmed and sustained it.” (GENESIS 1:16-18 AMP) Like the sun, Jesus is the Greater Ruler. He rules over all creation. Like the moon, we (man) were created as the lesser rulers. Man was given the rulership of the earth. The moon ruling over the night represents us (man) whose rulership led to darkness because of Adam’s sin. The sun ruling over the day represents Jesus whose rulership led to light because of Jesus’ everlasting victory at the cross which redeemed man and the whole earth to the glory of God. Jesus is the Source of life just like the sun is the source of light in the world. “And He Himself existed and is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. [His is the controlling, cohesive force of the universe.] He is also the head [the life-source and leader] of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will occupy the first place [He will stand supreme and be preeminent] in everything.” (COLOSSIANS 1:17-18 AMP) Like the moon which doesn’t give out light of its own but only reflects light from the sun, we too can’t do anything without the life of Jesus flowing in us. “If even the moon does not shine, And the stars are not pure in His sight,” (Job 25:5NKJV) “I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.” (JOHN 15:5 AMP) 8 July 2018 - The Pillow and the Promise - Pastor Steven Furtick Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Guest SpeakerPraise and Worship songs performed:
Pastor Steven Furtick is the pastor of Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. Genesis 28:10-19 - It's ironic that the passage says Jacob was in a certain place. Jacob has never been more uncertain in his life - he was running for his life. Sometimes God will make you stop moving forward so that you can recalibrate your direction. God is above your situation. God doesn’t just want to do something for you - He also wants to do something through you. Jacob was sleeping on something and somewhere he wasn’t meant to be. Some of you are in a place in your life that you didn’t intend to be. You are at your own “Luz”. Jacob’s name means “tricky/deceiver”. But God called him something else (Israel). God uses our weaknesses to unlock our purpose in life. Jacob exchanged a bowl of stew for Esau’s firstborn blessing. Sometimes like Esau, we give up what we want most for what we want now. Jacob then tricked his father into giving him the firstborn blessing by pretending to be Esau by wearing hairy animal hide. God can only bless you - God can’t bless what you pretend to be. God won’t bless the false image or illusion that you put in front of others. Jesus died for you, not for your selfie. We live in a time where people want to appear being more happy than they really are. Social media (like Instagram) is a “highlight reel”. It only shows the moments we want the world to see. Sometimes we fight all the way to church on Sunday but the moment we step into church we smile and put on a perfect front for others to see. Later on Jacob worked 7 years and was tricked to marry Leah (represents the Law) and then worked 7 more years to marry Rachel (grace), the one he truly loved. We don’t work for love, we work from love. God didn’t show up - Jacob woke up. God was always there with him. Jacob just didn’t realize it. God is already busy working all things together for your good. Jacob did not receive the greatest revelation while he was running or manipulating people and situations. He received it while he was sleeping (at rest). In I Kings, Elijah thought that God would be in the earthquake, the wind, or in the fire. But God was not in them. God was in the still, small voice. God whispers because He is close to you. When you rejoice, out of your belly will flow rivers of living water. God uses those uncertain and low places in your life to reveal His greatest glory. Even in your rebellion, God is working for you anyway. Jacob woke up from his dream and said it was awesome. It’s not the stone (pillow) that was awesome - It was the purpose that God revealed that was awesome. God will reveal His greatest glory in the hardest places of your life. It is not about the place you’re in. It’s about the perspective you have about the place you’re in. Point and anoint - Point at the hard place you’re in and anoint it as the gate of heaven - This is the place. God will meet you right where you are. The enemy wants to keep you occupied on a place called “there”, so that you miss out on the place called “here”. God wants to use you here and now. You’re not too young to be useful to God. There was nothing spectacular about the rock, it was the purpose that was revealed through the rock that was spectacular. God is doing work inside of you. He is also working on your situation - even when the progress doesn’t seem to be obvious. Angels are walking up and down going to work for you at God’s command. If you pray for patience, God is probably going to send you people that make you crazy. The things you prayed for may not show up in the prettiest packages. Paul was afflicted by a “thorn in the flesh”, a messenger of Satan. He prayed three times for God to take it away, before he realized that it was God’s plan to use that messenger of Satan, for his own good. God is going to use what the devil uses for evil in your life, to turn it around for your good. You don’t get to choose what you go through, but you get to choose what to call what you went through. Rachel named her last son “Benoni” (Son of my sorrow) before dying due to childbirth. Jacob renamed him “Benjamin” (Son of my right hand). Our Heavenly Father can rename what we’re going through to fulfill His own purposes. Jacob renamed “Luz” to “Bethel”. What if where you are now is right where you’re meant to be in this season of your life? God will use the hard places to work things for your good. “Now Jacob left Beersheba [never to see his mother again] and traveled toward Haran. And he came to a certain place and stayed overnight there because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones of the place, he put it under his head and lay down there [to sleep]. He dreamed that there was a ladder (stairway) placed on the earth, and the top of it reached [out of sight] toward heaven; and [he saw] the angels of God ascending and descending on it [going to and from heaven]. And behold, the LORD stood above and around him and said, “I am the LORD, the God of Abraham your [father’s] father and the God of Isaac; I will give to you and to your descendants the land [of promise] on which you are lying. Your descendants shall be as [countless as] the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and the east and the north and the south; and all the families (nations) of the earth shall be blessed through you and your descendants. Behold, I am with you and will keep [careful watch over you and guard] you wherever you may go, and I will bring you back to this [promised] land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and he said, “Without any doubt the LORD is in this place, and I did not realize it.” So he was afraid and said, “How fearful and awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gateway to heaven.” So Jacob got up early in the morning, and took the stone he had put under his head and he set it up as a pillar [that is, a monument to the vision in his dream], and he poured [olive] oil on the top of it [to consecrate it]. He named that place Bethel (the house of God); the previous name of that city was Luz (Almond Tree).” (GENESIS 28:10-19 AMP) 1 July 2018 - Speak to the Rock and Receive your Supply - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPraise and Worship songs performed: (Please let me know if I missed out any song titles before this)
Your need cannot be greater than God’s supply. Sometimes God allows us to come into a place of need so that we can see what is in our heart. He is not the Source of it and He does not cause the lack, but He allows it to happen. It’s times of testing that reveals what’s in our heart. Times of need also reveals what’s in His heart and we see all the supply that’s prepared for us. God never wanted the children of Israel to wander in the wilderness. God never brings you out to leave you hanging on your own. God brings you out to bring you into somewhere else. He brings you out to bring you in! The promised land “flows” with milk and honey - it is a picture of abundance. “Milk” reminds us of a mother, providing milk for her child. The milk comes from mother grace. God has moved mountains - He not at Mount Sinai anymore, but Mount Zion. Our mother is Sarah (Grace) not Hagar (the Law). “Honey” reminds us of cooperation - bees have work together to bring the pollen back to the hive to make honey. In the church, we are interdependent. The Christian life is not meant to be lived alone. If God has given you a revelation which others have not received yet, be kind to those who didn’t receive the revelation yet because God was kind to you. He could have given the revelation to that person instead of you. Sending the twelve spies was not Moses’ idea. It was the children of Israel’s own idea. God had already said that the land flows with milk and honey. Ten of the spies came back with a bad report, saying that there were giants and that they (Israel) were grasshoppers in their sight. Only Joshua and Caleb had a spirit of faith and encouraged the people to go up and take the land. In Hebrew, Joshua and Caleb said that the land is a “very very” good land. The Christian life is much better than the life in Egypt that we came out from. |
