29 May 2016 - The Perfect Servant God Loves You - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineProverbs 4:20-22 - God's word produces life and health in our lives. “My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.” (Proverbs 4:20-22 NKJV) Just because something is dead, it doesn't mean it will stay dead. As long as Jesus is with you, He is there for you! He is the Resurrection and the Life. Just one touch from Jesus and our lives will never be the same! We want to experience Jesus afresh - not just to have head knowledge, but heart knowledge. Victory in every area of one's life is for every believer. It's not about what the preacher or you can do. It's about what the Lord can do for you. Look beyond the preacher and look to the Lord. Three simple statements that lead to a strong marriage with days of heaven on earth: 1) "I am sorry." 2) "You are right." 3) "I love you." If you are right but present it in the wrong way, you are still wrong. Always expect great things from God. He is a God who wants to bless and to give. When God gives, He always exceeds our expectations. Jesus is All-Powerful. There is nothing that He cannot do. Jesus is not just All-Powerful - He is also All-Love. He has all power and is all love - therefore you have every right to believe that Jesus will help you and that He will bring you to the other side. You have the Healer with you - Yahweh Rapha - Always go to Jesus. Always trust in the name of Jesus Christ. John 15:15 - Jesus doesn't call you a servant - He calls you His friend. “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” (John 15:15 NKJV) Why do these men of God call themselves bondservants of Jesus Christ when Jesus has already said that we are no longer servants but called His friends? It is because they chose to do so even when they didn't need to, as they loved God and owed their lives to Him. “Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God” (Romans 1:1 NKJV) “Paul and Timothy, bondservants of Jesus Christ, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:” (Philippians 1:1 NKJV) “Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness,” (Titus 1:1 NKJV) “James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings.” (James 1:1 NKJV) “Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:” (II Peter 1:1 NKJV) “Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:” (Jude 1:1 NKJV) Exodus 21:1-6 - If the Hebrew slave makes a choice to stay out of love for his master, wife and children, his ear will be pierced and blood will be shed. The Hebrew slave represents Jesus. We are Jesus' wife and children. Jesus' heart is to serve us. ““Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them: If you buy a Hebrew servant, he shall serve six years; and in the seventh he shall go out free and pay nothing. If he comes in by himself, he shall go out by himself; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him. If his master has given him a wife, and she has borne him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself. But if the servant plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,’ then his master shall bring him to the judges. He shall also bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.” (Exodus 21:1-6 NKJV) Psalms 40:6-8 - This is a Messianic Prophecy. "My ears you have opened" reminds us of Exodus 21:6. “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require. Then I said, “Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”” (Psalms 40:6-8 NKJV) Hebrews 10:5-7 - Piercing Jesus' ears alone would not be enough to redeem us from our sins. Jesus' entire body had to be pierced and offered as a sacrifice so that we can be redeemed from our sins. God's will is for us to be free from our sins. “Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come— In the volume of the book it is written of Me— To do Your will, O God.’ ”” (Hebrews 10:5-7 NKJV) Ezekiel 1:10 - Prophet Ezekiel had a vision of four living creatures. 4 is the number of Creation. The face of the lion typifies Jesus as King. The Gospel of Matthew (Lion). The face of the man typifies Jesus as the Perfect Man who died for our sins. The Gospel of Luke (Man). The face of the eagle typifies Jesus as God (Jesus is Creator - whoever is Creator is God). The Gospel of John (Eagle). The face of the ox typifies Jesus as the Servant and the Sacrificial Offering. The Gospel of Mark. Why is Jesus portrayed by the ox? It is because He came to serve the Father and to serve us by going to the cross to die for our sins. “As for the likeness of their faces, each had the face of a man; each of the four had the face of a lion on the right side, each of the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and each of the four had the face of an eagle.” (Ezekiel 1:10 NKJV) Philippians 2:5-11 - Jesus made Himself to be nothing at the cross because He loves us. Jesus is omniscient and omnipotent. He knew exactly what He would suffer at the cross - He knew in advance every slap, every ridicule, every mockery, and yet He still chose to suffer them for us. He could have come down from the cross at any point of time but He would not. “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:5-11 NKJV) If we sin as believers, we are still saved - heaven is still our home. But if we do sin, it affects our testimony to the world. It is important that we have a good testimony because it is how the world can see Jesus and His grace. How are we going to live our lives? Jesus served us and gave His life for us. We should live a life that glorifies Jesus! 22 May 2016 - Live Free From Condemnation - Pastor Mark Ng Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineWe are always trying to connect with others. There are always trials and tribulations in this life. John 1:18 - Jesus came down from heaven to connect with us. To know God is about how we see Jesus Christ. “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.” (John 1:18 NKJV) We should not be ashamed of the gospel, for the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. II Corinthians 5:21 - God makes us the righteousness of God in Christ. When God makes, we can't un-make it. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (II Corinthians 5:21 NKJV) God doesn't define us by our actions and behavior. He measures us by His Son. In this life, you are not measured by your good deeds. You are measured by the amount of grace that you receive. How can two imperfect persons coming together form a perfect family? It's impossible. That's why Jesus has to come down to save us. To walk together with God, we must agree with what God says about us. God says that we are righteous and healed. As believers, our spirit is intertwined with God's spirit. We are a new creation in Christ - as Jesus is, so are we in this world! Jesus died for us to make sure that we are blessed. We are not married to this world. We are married to the most powerful family in the universe - we are married to the heavenly family. When you know what Jesus has done for you, you can live it out. Isaiah 61:1-3 - God doesn't want you to be poor. The Lord is our Shepherd, we will not lack. We are not preaching the prosperity gospel. We are preaching the true gospel! Our God is a God who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. It is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance. Now is the acceptable year of the Lord. Jesus knows how to divide the word. You must know how to divide the dispensations and the word of God. The Lord has planted you. God sees you as a tree. A tree doesn't move. It just stays there. Stay rooted and established in grace. ““The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”” (Isaiah 61:1-3 NKJV) It is good for the heart to be established and rooted in grace. When you are rooted in what Jesus has done for you at the cross, you can grow in grace. That's the way to mature and grow in your Christian walk. The more you compare in this world and the more you look at unfairness, you will never be happy. Look to the One who is unfairly-good to you, because He died for you on the cross. When you look at the unfairness on the cross, then you will know that you are blessed. On the cross, Jesus cried out "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" so that we can say "My God, My God, why have you so blessed me?". When you are made righteous in Christ, you cannot un-make it with your actions, because you didn't become righteous by your works in the first place. The Lord can give you beauty for ashes. People have no place to rest until they know that the Lord is their Savior. Hallelujah is "praise the Lord", and Amen is "so be it". If you have family members who are still unsaved and they are resistant to the gospel, continue to pray for them. The prayer of the righteous avails much. The Lord wants to save your family and set them free. Condemnation kills. The devil always tries to kill, to steal and to destroy. He tries to do these by accusing and condemning you. Condemnation leads to suffering in marriage, which leads to even more bondages - for an example: pornography addiction. Jeremiah 17:7-8 - The Lord has planted you as a tree. ““Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV) If you are bound in addictions, keep soaking yourself in the word of God. Keep listening to God's word and keep agreeing with and saying what God says about you. Romans 10:10-11 - It's so simple: Just believe that you are righteous in Christ. God will keep blessing you. You will be delivered from all the molestation of the devil. You will never be put to shame when you believe in Jesus. “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”” (Romans 10:10-11 NKJV) I hope that you have been blessed by reading this post on "22 May 2016 - Live Free From Condemnation - Pastor Mark Ng Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online". For the Law to be the Law, you have to keep everything in the Law. The Law doesn't recognize words like "I try to do my best." The Law has something called blessing and curses. If you obey all the Law, you will be blessed. If you break one of commandments of the Law, you will be cursed. Romans 7:4-7 - We don't throw out the Ten Commandments. We are delivered from the Law. We are dead to 'Mr Law' to be married to Jesus Christ. When something is dead, it doesn't respond. We should not respond to the Law. The marriage with Mr Law produced fruit to death. The marriage with Jesus Christ produces fruitfulness! The Law is holy, righteous and just, but it cannot make us holy, righteous or just. Holiness and sanctification come by faith. “Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”” (Romans 7:4-7 NKJV) When interpreting the Bible, context is king. If you remove the text, all you're left with is a con! Where sin increases, grace superabounds (In Greek: huperperisio) much more! "Increases" can be counted, but huperperisio can't be counted! When discerning whether a ministry is preaching the true gospel, look at their fruits - are souls saved? Are there testimonies of lives changed? Jesus told us to be 'fruit inspectors' - by their fruits you shall know them. Galatians 1:6-9 - The true gospel is the grace of Christ. The book of Galatians is dealing with the issue of sanctification by faith. The Galatian believers wrongly believed that they were saved by faith to be empowered to keep the Law. There is a forgotten curse - the curse of the New Testament - the double curse pronounced by Paul upon anyone who preaches a different gospel. The Lord pronounced this double curse because He loves His people. The double curse is there to protect the purity of the gospel. This curse will stop the person from preaching the different gospel. None of us, all of Jesus! Those who preach the true gospel will be doubly blessed! “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-9 NKJV) If you ask a non-believer why should God allow him to enter heaven, he will answer based on the Law and his own works - Example that they would say: "I don't murder people, I am not like Osama Bin Laden or Saddam Hussein. I take care of my family and provide for them." We don't need to teach sinners the Law - they already know about "do good get good, do bad get bad". It takes revelation from the Holy Spirit to understand that we get good that we don't deserve because Jesus took the bad that we deserved. If you're blogging about Bible truths, you're preaching already. Make sure to be preaching the true gospel. Have more faith in the grace of God than in the sinfulness of man. You want to know how bad sin is? Look at the cross. The Son of God had to die for us to receive forgiveness of all our sins. You want to know how great God's love is for us? Look at the cross. Our Heavenly Father gave up His only begotten Son whom He loves in exchange for our redemption. Hebrews 10:2 - Worshippers (believers) once cleansed should have no more consciousness of sins. If a believer still has a consciousness of sins after being saved, it is an insult to the gift of righteousness given by God. If someone has paid your debt in full and you still act as though your debt is not paid, isn't it dishonoring him? “For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.” (Hebrews 10:2 NKJV) 5 Life Lessons and Moral Value In "The Huntsman: Winter's War (2016)" (Spoilers Alert!) 1) There is a stress and pressure in being a younger sibling to a capable and successful elder sibling. There is a tendency to feel overshadowed - like you're living in the shadow of your elder sibling's glory. ![]()
After Ravenna (Charlize Theron) was summoned from within the magic mirror, she immediately assumed the throne and it felt like she was the true ruler, whereas Ice Queen Freya (Emily Blunt) was like a puppet leader - just a figurehead. Freya's posture of authority and confidence diminished in the presence of her elder sister.
2) It is easy to be deceived with illusions and manipulations when you trust in what your eyes see. Live by faith, not by sight. 3) Avoid at all costs any dealings with demons. There is always a hidden agenda by them and a much costlier price to pay than the benefit received. ![]()
The magic mirror is inhabited by a malevolent demon, and as a result of Ravenna's (Charlize Theron) use of the mirror, the demon was allowed to wreck havoc in her life, and her family's life, causing death and destruction - going so far as to sway her to murder her sister Freya's (Emily Blunt) baby daughter.
4) Adversity and tragedy in one's life can either make one channel that experience to become stronger and help more people who went through similar experiences, or it can lead one to spiral down to a path of anger, depression and destruction. ![]()
Ice Queen Freya (Emily Blunt) went through a tragedy in her life - her baby daughter was murdered by the baby's father, also her lover, Andrew the Duke of Blackwood (Colin Morgan). That event triggered her to go down a path of destruction as it had crushed her spirit, leading her to totally lose hope in love.
5) True love is proven through actions, and the greatest expression of love is to lay down one's life for another. 8 May 2016 - The Seven Dispensations - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineWhen you feel that there are demonic spirits or oppression going on, call on the name of Jesus. It's by that name that every knee bows. At that name, everything clears. You can pray for your friend, even if they are unbelievers. Many times, God heals people that know nothing about healing, especially in such third world countries when the gospel is preached, many times we see more great signs miracles and wonders being performed than in countries where people have a lot of theology in their minds. Under the Law, you must obey in order for God to bless you. Under grace, you are blessed. Under the Law, you must repent first in order to be blessed by God. Under grace, the goodness of God leads us to repentance. "If a man can make a distinction between Law and grace, he is a true theologian." - Martin Luther "It is God that makes theologians, not man." - Martin Luther The gifts of the Holy Spirit are still for today. Dispensational truth: In every dispensation, God deals with man differently. In every dispensation, man is tested to show that man cannot save himself. God is not saving nations, He is saving people in nations. Jesus said that before He returns, the world will be like in the days of Noah - man's corruption and wickedness will fill the earth. The world will get worse and worse, but the church will get brighter and brighter. II Timothy 2:15 - The word of God must be preached in the right context, and in the correct dispensation. “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (II Timothy 2:15 NKJV) Acts 15:5-11 - At the time of this discussion between the Pharisees and Peter, Peter had preached to Cornelius' household and witnessed them saved and receiving the Holy Spirit about 12 years ago. Both justification and sanctification (holiness) come by faith. Hearts are made pure by faith. When people believe the gospel, hearts are purified. “But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.” Now the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter. And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: “Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they.”” (Acts 15:5-11 NKJV) When God looks down on the earth, He only sees three groups of people: the Jew, the Gentile, and the church of God. When you read the word of God, you must discern which group of people is it talking to or about. There are seven dispensations: 1) The dispensation of innocence - Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. God put man in a perfect environment. It is not free choice if everything is good. God had to allow man to exercise his free choice. That's the reason for the existence of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. How did it end: Man ate from that tree and brought death into the world. Then God drove man out of the garden of Eden. 2) The dispensation of conscience - After Adam and Eve ate from the tree, their eyes were opened and they knew both good and evil - their conscience was awakened. From then on, all man had a sin nature from the moment they are born. How did it end: All flesh was corrupted in their way in the earth. The wickedness of man filled the earth. God sent the great flood to wipe out all life on the earth, leaving Noah, his family and the animals alive to replenish the earth. 3) The dispensation of human government: God commanded Noah to replenish the earth, and have dominion over it. How did it end: Man tried to build the Tower of Babel in order to communicate with the principalities and probably with the devil himself. It is demonic. In response, God confused man's language and dispersed man to all corners of the earth. 4) The dispensation of promise: God promised Abraham that his descendants would be numerous - like the stars of the heavens and like the sand on the seashore. The promises that God gave to Abraham were unconditional and did not depend on his performance. God dealt with Abraham by pure grace. Some promises that God gave to Abraham's descendants were conditional. Israel chose to worship different gods and idols. How did it end: Israel was brought into Egyptian bondage. Then God sent Moses to save them and brought them out. 5) The dispensation of the Law: At Mount Sinai, God gave man the Ten Commandments. For the Law to be the Law, it cannot bend for you. It must be kept in its inflexibility. God gave the Ten Commandments, not the 'Ten Suggestions'. You cannot rob the Law of its terror, if not you're robbing grace of its freedom! "The Law is for the proud-hearted, while grace is for the broken-hearted." - Martin Luther The Law can only govern people outwardly. The Law is behavior modification, not heart transformation. Grace brings true heart transformation. People must feel or know that they are lost before they can be saved. How did it end: Israel and Judah were captured by King Nebuchadnezzar and brought into bondage in Babylon. The dispensation of the Law lasted 1500 years. 6) The dispensation of grace: Jesus' death, burial and resurrection brought about a new dispensation. Under grace, God does not demand righteousness from man. Instead, God gives you the gift of righteousness because of what Jesus has done at the cross. At the cross, Jesus took the rejection from God, so that we can receive the acceptance from God. The dispensation of grace has been the longest-lasting dispensation so far - it's already been 2000-over years. God loves to deal with man by grace. When God's quota is met, He will send Jesus to receive His bride - the church of God, to be with Him in heaven. The Rapture: At the sound of the trumpets, the dead in Christ will rise first, and then those who remain on the earth will be caught up to be with Jesus. During the Great Tribulation, God will pour out His bowls of judgment on the earth, and man will still curse and blaspheme God. There will be 144,000 Jewish evangelists who will preach the gospel and many will believe and be saved. 7) The dispensation of the Millennial Rule of Jesus Christ on earth: For 1000 years, Jesus will rule on earth from Jerusalem. Every true believer will rule with Him. There will still be sinners on the earth. However, there will be no sickness, and no premature death - those who die young will be a 100 years old! The devil will be bound for 1000 years. Man will have no excuse to justify their sinful behavior. After 1000 years, Satan will be released and many people will join him to make war against God. Then God will cast Satan into the lake of fire, as well as all unbelievers. 5 Life Lessons and Moral Value In "Captain America: Civil War (2016)" (Spoilers Alert!) 1) You have to do what's right and not compromise on your beliefs. ![]()
Captain America (Steve Rogers) insistently decided not to sign the Sokovia Accords despite many members of the Avengers in favor of the decision to sign it. He believes that governments are run by humans and humans have agendas, and agendas change. He didn't want the immense power of the Avengers to be subject to that governmental control, risking that control falling into the wrong hands.
1 May 2016 - Unveiling God's Heart Of Grace - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineThe greatest Superhero in this universe is the Lord Jesus Christ. He gave His life for us, and we have become His bride. We are waiting for the wedding day. The Rabbinical Law forbids mixing meat and milk together. However Abraham offered milk and meat together to the Lord when the Lord visited him at his tent, and the Lord and His two angels ate them. Micah 6:8 - What God is - God is love. Who God is - He is God. God has to judge. But God's nature is not to judge. "Mercy" is the Hebrew word "hesed" which means grace. God wants us to do justice, but to LOVE grace. “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8 NKJV) The governmental bodies, police force etc. are God's servants, put there to execute justice. Genesis 18:20-33 - God wants man to pray. Why didn't God just go down to Sodom and Gomorrah and destroy it? Why did He visit Abraham? God wanted to be interceded. Right now, God doesn't yet have full reign over the earth. Abraham stopped at ten righteous people because he wanted Lot and his family to be saved. God kept agreeing to spare the city for the number of righteous people that Abraham bargained for. Even if Abraham had bargained all the way down to one righteous person, Pastor Prince believes that God would also have agreed to spare the city for the sake of that one righteous person. God delayed for Abraham to pray. God will delay for us to pray. “And the LORD said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.” Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the LORD. And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” So the LORD said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.” Then Abraham answered and said, “Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of five?” So He said, “If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it. ” And he spoke to Him yet again and said, “Suppose there should be forty found there?” So He said, “I will not do it for the sake of forty.” Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Suppose thirty should be found there?” So He said, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.” And he said, “Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there?” So He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.” Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.” So the LORD went His way as soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.” (Genesis 18:20-33 NKJV) |
