1 May 2016 - Unveiling God's Heart Of Grace - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes OnlineThe greatest Superhero in this universe is the Lord Jesus Christ. He gave His life for us, and we have become His bride. We are waiting for the wedding day. The Rabbinical Law forbids mixing meat and milk together. However Abraham offered milk and meat together to the Lord when the Lord visited him at his tent, and the Lord and His two angels ate them. Micah 6:8 - What God is - God is love. Who God is - He is God. God has to judge. But God's nature is not to judge. "Mercy" is the Hebrew word "hesed" which means grace. God wants us to do justice, but to LOVE grace. “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8 NKJV) The governmental bodies, police force etc. are God's servants, put there to execute justice. Genesis 18:20-33 - God wants man to pray. Why didn't God just go down to Sodom and Gomorrah and destroy it? Why did He visit Abraham? God wanted to be interceded. Right now, God doesn't yet have full reign over the earth. Abraham stopped at ten righteous people because he wanted Lot and his family to be saved. God kept agreeing to spare the city for the number of righteous people that Abraham bargained for. Even if Abraham had bargained all the way down to one righteous person, Pastor Prince believes that God would also have agreed to spare the city for the sake of that one righteous person. God delayed for Abraham to pray. God will delay for us to pray. “And the LORD said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.” Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the LORD. And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” So the LORD said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.” Then Abraham answered and said, “Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of five?” So He said, “If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it. ” And he spoke to Him yet again and said, “Suppose there should be forty found there?” So He said, “I will not do it for the sake of forty.” Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Suppose thirty should be found there?” So He said, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.” And he said, “Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there?” So He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.” Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.” So the LORD went His way as soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.” (Genesis 18:20-33 NKJV)
Intimacy and familiarity are two different things. The Roman centurion was not familiar with Jesus, but he was intimate with Jesus' thoughts. The centurion's faith pleased Jesus. Not all the disciples were intimate with Jesus, but they were familiar with Him. Abraham and Lot had to go separate ways to find a new place to live in. Lot went and chose a place by sight. II Peter 2:6-8 - Lot was a righteous but defeated man. Abraham was righteous and victorious. Abraham was on Hebron, looking down to Sodom and Gomorrah. He was on higher ground. “and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—” (II Peter 2:6-8 NKJV) Every dispensation has ended in failure, and man keeps blaming God. Adam and Eve - the dispensation of innocence, and then the dispensation of conscience. Noah - dispensation of human government that ended in idolatry. Abraham - God called man out of idolatry and gave the dispensation of the promise - all the nations will be blessed. Moses - the dispensation of the Law. Jesus - the dispensation of grace. The problem is that man boasts in his wittiness, inventions, and forgets the Lord. In the Book of Revelation, the church of Laodicea is rich and greedy, thinking that they have need for nothing. The church of Philadelphia is the model church. Jesus will return to save Israel when she is surrounded by enemies. Then He will establish His rule on earth from Jerusalem during the Millennium. II Peter 3:9 - God's heart is not willing that any should perish. So why doesn't God save everyone? It's because of free choice. He cannot force us to receive His salvation. Longsuffering is a needed quality in a marriage. Marriage is not just about enjoying the good times together, but also having longsuffering and enduring together during the tough times. “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (II Peter 3:9 NKJV) The Rapture and the Lord's Second Coming are different events. The Rapture is a private affair for believers. Jesus said that He is preparing a place for us, so that He can receive us to Himself. God told Enoch to name his son "Methuselah". The name Methuselah means "his death will bring". When Methuselah died, the great flood would come. God made Methuselah the person who has the longest lifespan in the whole history of mankind. It shows God's heart that He is not willing that any should perish. Enoch was enraptured to be with God before the flood. Noah was delivered but he had to go through the flood. There are those who will be enraptured before the Great Tribulation, and there are those who will be saved in the great tribulation who will have to go through that judgment. For those who will go through the Great Tribulation, that's what it means by those who endure to the end will be saved. John 15:15 - Jesus treats us as His friends. He tells us things before it happens. Abraham was called "a friend of God". The Lord told Abraham about Sodom and Gomorrah's impending judgment before it happened. “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” (John 15:15 NKJV) The sixth dispensation is grace, the seventh dispensation is Jesus' Millennial Rule on earth. This Millennial Rule is going to last for a literal one thousand years. In the Millennial Rule, faith will be become sight because the world will see Jesus with their eyes. Even the Millennial Rule ends in man's rebellion. In the Millennial Rule, Satan is bound for the one thousand years. What excuse can man give to justify their sins when even the devil is gone and unable to tempt them? In the Millennial Rule, there will be no more sickness, wars, and believers will rule over cities (how many cities depends on each believer's faithfulness). There will be great longevity - the Bible says that a man who dies in his youth is a hundred years old. Each dispensation is God's test to man, to show man that in and of himself, man cannot be holy. The final dispensation is the new heaven and the new earth. The devil's goal before Jesus came was to stop the Promised Seed from coming. During Noah's time, the devil attempted to corrupt the human gene pool in order to prevent the Messiah from being born. Not everyone is saved. You have to believe in Jesus to be saved. Jonah 4:1-5 - The shortest and most effective sermon ever preached was preached by the most effective evangelist Jonah, who was also the most reluctant and unwilling one. His sermon preached to the city of Nineveh translated in English in the New King James Version of the Bible is eight words long - "Yet forty days, and Nineveh will be overthrown!". In Hebrew, it's only five words long. Jonah was unwilling to go to Nineveh not because they were evil to the Hebrews. Jonah was unwilling because he knew God's nature - that God would save and spare Nineveh. “But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. So he prayed to the LORD, and said, “Ah, LORD, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm. Therefore now, O LORD, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live!” Then the LORD said, “ Is it right for you to be angry?” So Jonah went out of the city and sat on the east side of the city. There he made himself a shelter and sat under it in the shade, till he might see what would become of the city.” (Jonah 4:1-5 NKJV)
In the Millennial Rule, faith will be become sight because the world will see Jesus with their eyes. In the Millennial Rule, Satan is bound for the one thousand years. There will be no more sickness, wars, and believers will rule over cities (how many cities depends on each believer's faithfulness). There will be great longevity - the Bible says that a man who dies in his youth is a hundred years old.
Genesis 19:1-38 - Why was Lot a righteous, defeated man? It was because Lot did not value the blood of Christ. He offered the two angels the unleavened bread without the wine. When eaten by itself, the bread brought trouble to Lot - the men of Sodom tried to commit homosexual sexual immorality with the two angels. In response, Lot tried to offer his own two daughters to the men of Sodom instead - in doing so he compromised and performed an ungodly deed. When wine was drunk by itself without the bread, it brought disaster to Lot and his family - Lot's daughters committed incest with Lot when Lot was drunk and intoxicated by wine. When the bread and wine are taken together, when Melchizedek brought them, it brought God's blessings. You can't have the bread without the wine - You can't talk about Jesus without proclaiming the forgiveness of sins through His shed blood. You can't preach the Person of Jesus (the bread) without also talking about the work of Jesus (the wine). Some people say that Jesus was a good man, but they don't talk about the shedding of His blood for the forgiveness of sins. Lot appeared to be joking to his sons-in-law. Lot's words had lost authority and credibility because he became wordly and spoke like the world. When it was time to be serious and deliver a truth, Lot couldn't! When the angel told Lot to bring his family and leave Sodom, Lot still took his own sweet time, dilly-dally-ing. So the angels grabbed Lot and his family's hands and led them out of the city. That is the revealed merciful heart of the Lord. He didn't want Lot and his family to perish, and urgently wanted to make sure that they lived. The word "mercy" in "increased your mercy" is the word "hesed" which means grace. This is the first mention of hesed in the Bible. Even when Lot was in unbelief and fear and didn't dare to take God at His word to escape to the mountains, God still allowed Lot to be delivered at his level of faith (fleeing to the city of Zoar). That is the extent of God's grace. The angel said "I cannot do anything until you arrive there" - As a believer, God's judgment won't come as long as there is still one believer on earth. Some people say that God is judging America today. There are many more than one righteous person in America. There are also many more than one righteous person in Singapore. There are still consequences to sin, and they are severe, but they are not God's judgment. The Great Tribulation will come only after the believers on earth have been taken up to be with the Lord in the Rapture. Why did Lot's wife look back and turn into a pillar of salt? Lot's wife represents a professing Christian. She married a possessor of eternal life but she was only a professor, not a possessor. She was steeped in the ways of Sodom. Abraham saw the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah from higher ground and from afar. We pre-Tribulation believers will not be here when the people of the earth are undergoing the Great Tribulation and God's judgments. We will already have been enraptured to be with Jesus. "God remembered Abraham" - We can pray for a defeated Christian brother or sister, and for our sake God will deliver them. Be careful what you let your children watch. God has made you a king and priest in your house. You don't have to raise your voice. Just speak calmly and trust that God has given you weightiness in your words. Trust that your words will be like arrows that penetrate the heart of your children. Parents, your words carry weight. Never lose control, yell, because you will lose power and control. Jesus' shortest sermon: "Remember Lot's wife". He's talking to the Jews about His Second Coming. From where did Lot's two daughters learn to drink wine until the point of intoxication and to commit incest? It was from the influence of the city of Sodom. As a result, Lot's relationship with his daughters became a broken and unnatural one. From Moab and Ben-Ammi came the Moabites and Ammonites - Israel's and King David's enemies respectively, that caused them great pain and trouble. “Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. And he said, “Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant’s house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way.” And they said, “No, but we will spend the night in the open square.” But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate. Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally. ” So Lot went out to them through the doorway, shut the door behind him, and said, “Please, my brethren, do not do so wickedly! See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof.” And they said, “Stand back!” Then they said, “This one came in to stay here, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.” So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door. But the men reached out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door. And they struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they became weary trying to find the door. Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city— take them out of this place! For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the LORD, and the LORD has sent us to destroy it.” So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, “Get up, get out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city!” But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking. When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, “Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city.” And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the LORD being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city. So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” Then Lot said to them, “Please, no, my lords! Indeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil overtake me and I die. See now, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one; please let me escape there ( is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.” And he said to him, “See, I have favored you concerning this thing also, in that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken. Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar. Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the LORD out of the heavens. So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. And Abraham went early in the morning to the place where he had stood before the LORD. Then he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain; and he saw, and behold, the smoke of the land which went up like the smoke of a furnace. And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot had dwelt. Then Lot went up out of Zoar and dwelt in the mountains, and his two daughters were with him; for he was afraid to dwell in Zoar. And he and his two daughters dwelt in a cave. Now the firstborn said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man on the earth to come in to us as is the custom of all the earth. Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father.” So they made their father drink wine that night. And the firstborn went in and lay with her father, and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose. It happened on the next day that the firstborn said to the younger, “Indeed I lay with my father last night; let us make him drink wine tonight also, and you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father.” Then they made their father drink wine that night also. And the younger arose and lay with him, and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose. Thus both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father. The firstborn bore a son and called his name Moab; he is the father of the Moabites to this day. And the younger, she also bore a son and called his name Ben-Ammi; he is the father of the people of Ammon to this day.” (Genesis 19:1-38 NKJV) Exodus 12:8-9 - The raw lamb and the lamb boiled with water represents dangerous, heretical teachings about Jesus. At the cross, Jesus faced God's full wrath and judgment for our sins in His body. That is the Lamb of God being "roasted in fire", and we must not exclude preaching about the forgiveness of sins through Jesus' finished work at the cross. “Then they shall eat the flesh on that night; roasted in fire, with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire—its head with its legs and its entrails.” (Exodus 12:8-9 NKJV) With God, there is no time. The cross is outside time. The Bible calls what Jesus has done at the cross "a new and living [freshly slain] way"! When you partake of the holy communion, see it as though Jesus has just died for you this morning! Genesis 13:14-15 - "Lot" means veil. The veil has been lifted. Many people still have the veil of the Law covering their eyes. We are delivered from the Law to be governed by the Spirit. When we try to keep the Law, we are walking in the natural, and it produces the lust of the flesh in us. When we we governed by the Spirit, we are walking in the supernatural, and sin shall not have dominion over us because we are not under the Law, but under grace! “And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are— northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.” (Genesis 13:14-15 NKJV) Hebrews 9:28 - When Jesus comes again, as believers, we will be enraptured to be with Him. He is not coming back to deal with our sins, but to bring us our full salvation - giving us our new spiritual bodies. That is the last area of redemption that we are still waiting for. “Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and once for all, will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him.” (Hebrews 9:28 AMP) I hope that you have been blessed by reading this post on "1 May 2016 - Unveiling God's Heart Of Grace - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online". Hi, I know this doesn't really have anything to do with what you shared but I felt like maybe I should ask for prayer for encouragement and hope. I have desired to be married and have children from a young age and am still in the waiting process. I'm going on 27 this year and it can be painful and depressing to look around and see almost everyone else has a spouse/ boyfriend and it seems like almost everyone I knoe of already had kids that are younger than me or my age. I know that God has promised me that I have a family and that he hasn't forgotten about me but sometimes it feels so lonely. I recently has someone tell me that God is punishing me for wanting a family and that He won't give them to me until all that I desire is Him. Also that He wouldn't even come through in His promises if there is sin in my life. That me wanting them has been an idol but I don't believe that desiring something or feeling lonely and needing to be a mom and wife is that..I don't find that anywhere in the Bible. I do see that when the women in the Bible were in misery/sad and desired children that the Lord was gracious and gave them children and I believe through that revelation that knew more of His love as they received their babies. Also the Bible states that it isn't good for man to be alone... that he hears our prayers and answers them, that He satisfies our desires with good things, and that He places the lonely in families. If you don't mind I would greatly appreciate prayer for me to be encouraged and not dismayed over what that person said to me. Thank you!

Hi Hannah, what that person said to you is complete nonsense. Don’t let it affect you. The Holy Spirit places desires in our heart for it is He who enables us to will and to work. The desire for a spouse and children are not evil. They indicate that God wants you to ask Him for them so that your joy may be full. See Him as a good, generous God. I don’t know how He has planned for you to meet your future spouse, but read Genesis 24. Just as Abraham knew where to send his servant to get a bride for Isaac, your Abba God knows how to bring you and your future spouse together through the Holy Spirit. I am believing to hear a good report from you in Jesus’ name! Amen!
