27 Mar 2016 - Resurrection Sunday: We Are Redeemed! - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

Screening of "Golgotha", Special Short Film by Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) in partnership with Pastor Joseph Prince:

It was at Mount Moriah that Abraham was going to sacrifice his son. The highest peak of Mount Moriah is Golgotha, where Jesus was to be crucified.

Via Dolarosa is the street where Jesus carried the cross all the way to Golgotha. God withheld Abraham from plunging the knife into his son.
But at the cross, no one withheld the Father from sacrificing Jesus, His Son.
We know that God loves us because He did not withhold His Son, His only Son whom He loved.

Jesus Christ came and did what no man could ever do - He stopped the reign of death.
God never meant for man to die. God hates death and sin. He counts death as an enemy.
Jesus came that you might reign in life and have life more abundantly. When you reign in life, sin doesn't. When you reign in life, the devil doesn't.
At the cross, Jesus became our sin, so that we could become the righteousness of God in Him.
At the cross, Jesus received our sins, and all the curse and condemnation fell upon Him.

In the Old Testament, the priest examines the lamb for blemishes before it is slain as a sin offering.
God is not examining you (the offerer), He is examining your lamb.
When the priest approves of the lamb, the offerer lays his hands on the lamb. It is an act of identification.
All the sins of the offerer is transferred to the lamb and the righteousness of the lamb is transferred to the offerer.
Now the offerer walks away with the favor and the blessings of God.
When we trust in Jesus, we transmit all our sins upon Him and God transfers all Jesus' righteousness to our account.

The first time that Jesus bled was in the Garden of Gethsemane. Science tells us that when someone undergoes tremendous stress, his/her blood capillaries burst, causing him/her to sweat blood.
There is redeeming quality in Jesus' blood. When He sweat blood, He redeemed us from the curse of sweat and He gave us the crown of peace.

Jesus' never addressed God as "My God" except at the cross. He always referred to Him as "My Father".
He cried out "My God, My God" at the cross to tell us that God had forsaken Him. At the cross, God dealt with Jesus as a Sacrifice, not as His Son.
The Father loved Jesus. Before the foundation of the world, Jesus was already daily the Father's delight.
At the cross, as Father, His heart was broken. Jesus was never more pleasing to the Father than at the cross.
Because of what Jesus did at the cross, we can now say "My God, My God, why have you so blessed me!"

When Jesus died, Jesus went down to Sheol to proclaim His victory to all the departed Old Testament saints. Now that place called Abraham's Bosom is empty.

God loves you with a love so strong, so deep, that He sent His Son to die on your behalf.
If you want Jesus to live in you and to receive eternal life, pray the salvation prayer here.

20 Mar 2016 - Palm Sunday: Send Salvation, Send Prosperity! - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

When you are a believer, everywhere you go, it's like Heaven on earth! The Lord's protection is with you.
It is in the Lord that we have refuge and safety because He puts us in the right place at the right time.
Always address the Lord as your Refuge and your Hiding Place.

The most important event that took place in history is the cross.
There are 89 chapters in the four gospels. Out of the 89 chapters, there are only 4 chapters about Jesus' birth and the first 30 years of His life.
But 85 chapters are about His 3 and a half years of ministry on earth. 27 chapters are about the last days of His life on earth.
The world emphasizes Jesus' birth and they only see Him as a good person who existed, but the Holy Spirit emphasizes on Jesus' death and resurrection.

Jesus is not just a good Person. Jesus is either who He says He is, the Son of God, or He is the world's greatest liar. But we know that He is the Son of God.

The world will get darker and darker, but the church will get better and better, and brighter and brighter.
Jesus will return to this earth before the world messes up. The world will not end by a nuclear disaster.
When He returns at His Second Coming, Jesus' feet will touch the Mount of Olives and the mount will be split in half.

The Rapture is a bodily salvation. We will have a new body that is no longer subject to corruption and death. We are all looking forward to the Rapture.

Science tells us that the universe is still expanding. For what purpose? The universe is the playground for God's children!

Today is Palm Sunday which is 6 days before Jesus was crucified. Jesus went into Jerusalem riding on the colt of a young donkey.
He is a humble King. He won't come back riding on a donkey - Jesus will return riding a white horse!

There have been many dictators in history, but none of them can rule like Jesus, who will rule with kindness, righteousness and justice!

13 Mar 2016 - Have a Good Eye At All Times - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online

Just one word from Jesus and your life will never be the same again!

In Christ Jesus, all of God's promises to us are "Yes" and "Amen".

Proverbs 18:16 - The gifting of God in Pastor Joseph Prince's life is clearly visible.

“A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.” Proverbs 18:16 NKJV

The smallest thing in your life should be your ego.

If your dreams are more than your achievements, you are young. Never stop dreaming. Attempt great things for God. Our God is a great God!

Matthew 6:22-23 - To have a good eye means to be an optimist, to see good even when things seem bad. To have a bad eye means to be a pessimist.
How do you look at things? Are you someone that tends towards the negative? God wants you to expect good things to come. That's having the Bible-definition of hope!

““The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Matthew 6:22-23 NKJV)

God is not an angry God. We are no longer under the Old Covenant of the Law, but we are under the New Covenant of Grace.
What we see in the Old Testament of the Bible is just a glimpse of what God is like. It's not the full picture of what God is like.
If you want to know what God is like, look at Jesus. Jesus is the exact representation and exact expression of God. Jesus is the image of the invisible God.
Jesus raised the lepers, calmed the storm, fed the five thousand men, and forgave the woman caught in adultery.
He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil.
Our God is good. That is why we can have a confident expectation of good. God's heart is to bless us.

Psalms 118:1 - Even if you feel that there is nothing good to focus on in your life, there is one Person who is good in your life, and that Person is the Lord.
Because He is good, He will turn the circumstances in your life around for your good!

“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” (Psalms 118:1 NKJV)

Because all our sins are forgiven, we can have a positive expectation of good. No matter what happens in this life, we still win.

When we work hard at our jobs and work, we are working hard for the Lord. Whatever you do, do it as worship unto the Lord.

The pleasures of the world alone cannot satisfy the void in our hearts.

As Christians, we don't have to come for church, we GET to come for church.

Picture
Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. Our God is good. That is why we can have a confident expectation of good. God's heart is to bless us.

I Thessalonians 5:18 - Have an attitude of gratitude. God's will is for us to give thanks in everything.
Give thanks in all things, not FOR all things. Change the perspective in which we see things - Have a good eye.
The greatest positive in our lives is the cross. Jesus gave His life for us willingly at the cross.
Any time is a good time to pray and to give thanks to God.

“in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (I Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV)

God's word is the will of God. If something is not in line with God's word, don't believe it. Don't be hoodwinked by the devil.

You take God's breath away. God is madly in love with you. The price that someone is willing to pay for something determines the value of that thing.
God decided to save you and chose to give up Jesus for you. You are worth the Son of God.

Acts 16:19-31 - Paul and Silas were going about doing God's work and doing God's will, and yet this happened to them.
Instead of moaning and complaining, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns. They were still praising God!
The earthquake of God does not take away lives and cause destruction. It opens doors and looses chains in the midnight of your captivity!

“But when her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the authorities. And they brought them to the magistrates, and said, “These men, being Jews, exceedingly trouble our city; and they teach customs which are not lawful for us, being Romans, to receive or observe.” Then the multitude rose up together against them; and the magistrates tore off their clothes and commanded them to be beaten with rods. And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely. Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.” Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”” (Acts 16:19-31 NKJV)

Matthew 21:16 - Jesus said this to the scribes and Pharisees as the people were worshiping Him.

“and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?”” (Matthew 21:16 NKJV)

Psalms 8:2 - What Jesus said in Matthew 21:16 was quoted from this verse. Jesus said the word "praise" instead of "strength". Therefore praise equals strength. When you praise God, you will be strengthened.

“Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.” (Psalms 8:2 NKJV)

God wants to renew our youth like the eagles. Two heathen kings wanted Sarah to be part of their harem when she was already 92 years old.
Heathen kings use their eyeballs, not their spiritual discernment. It is a physical renewal of youth that happened for Sarah!

If you believe that God forgives all our iniquities, then you can receive healing from all your diseases. Believe right and you will live right.

Song of Solomon 5:15 - Jesus' very demeanor is like the cedars of Lebanon. The Lord Jesus is beautiful.

“His legs are pillars of marble Set on bases of fine gold. His countenance is like Lebanon, Excellent as the cedars.” (Song of Solomon 5:15 NKJV)

You can be changed and transformed just by beholding the glory of the Lord Jesus.
We need to reveal the glory of the Lord so that people can be transformed. The transformation is by the Spirit, not by our efforts.
Some preachers in the pulpit have pulled people into the pit instead of out of the pit.
They reveal the congregation's gory instead of the glory of the Lord. The people's wives do a better job of making them feel guilty and condemned already.
We are righteous not because of what we have done, but because of what Jesus has done.

Romans 4:13 - We can't be the heir of the world while we're sick and flat on our backs.
If you are a wealthy person, you won't give the inheritance to the servant, you will give it to the son!
This promise is not obtained through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith.

“For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.” (Romans 4:13 NKJV)

The very first area that Jesus redeemed us from, is sweat. In the Garden of Gethsemane, the very thought of becoming sin for us caused Jesus to sweat blood.
What started in one garden (the Garden of Eden) must end in another garden (the Garden of Gethsemane).

The Law is kindergarten. Grace is more than university. When Israel was a child, God put Israel under the Law.
When the Son came, Israel was no longer a child, so God put Israel under grace.

People aren't turned off by Jesus, they are turned off by religion.

The Law is holy, but it cannot make one righteous. The Law is righteous, but it cannot make us righteous.
The Law was a schoolmaster, but when Grace came, there is no longer a need for the schoolmaster.

Luke 2:25-38 - Simeon's name comes from the word "Shamar" which means "to listen".
Simeon represents the Law. The Law was glad to see Jesus. After Simeon left, Anna came and proclaimed that Jesus is here.
Anna means "grace". When the Law departed, grace came.

“And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.” And Joseph and His mother marveled at those things which were spoken of Him. Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against (yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.” (Luke 2:25-38 NKJV)

Acts 9:17-18 - Ananias means "grace of God". Ananias prayed for Saul and the scales fell off his eyes.
The first thing that Saul saw when he regained his sight was the grace of God!

“And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized.” (Acts 9:17-18 NKJV)

The devil's name, "Satan", means the accuser. He points out what sins you have committed and he tries to point you to yourself.
The Holy Spirit points you to Jesus. Look within you and you'll be stressed, look around you and you will be depressed, look to Jesus and you will be at rest!
When you rest, God works for you. When you work, God rests.

Mark 8:13-21 - The economy of God is the opposite of man. He fed 5000 people with 5 loaves of bread, leaving 12 baskets as leftover.
He fed 4000 people with 7 loaves of bread, leaving 7 baskets as leftover.
The bigger the problem, the easier it is for God. God will not allow anything to come in that will give you the credit. All glory is due to Him!

“And He left them, and getting into the boat again, departed to the other side. Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, and they did not have more than one loaf with them in the boat. Then He charged them, saying, “Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.” And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “ It is because we have no bread.” But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “Why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart still hardened? Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?” They said to Him, “Twelve.” “Also, when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of fragments did you take up?” And they said, “Seven.” So He said to them, “How is it you do not understand?”” (Mark 8:13-21 NKJV)

If you are sick, you confess that by His stripes you are healed. If there is lack, you confess that the Lord is your Shepherd. If you sin, do you confess your sin?
You don't confess your sins in order to be forgiven. Instead, you confess your sins because you can be honest with God and you know that He loves you.

Acts 10:43-46 - Cornelius was a Roman centurion and he was also a Gentile. The Holy Spirit fell upon Cornelius and his family when the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ was preached by Peter.
The Holy Spirit delights when the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ is preached.

“To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.” While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered,” (Acts 10:43-46 NKJV)
