27 June 2021 - The Power is in the Seed - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince taught us to take heed of how and what we hear. If we want to prosper in all things, we must hear God’s word with a heart that seeks to understand it. The power to conquer death and corruption is found in the incorruptible seed of God’s word. Praise and Worship Songs Performed: 1. One Thing Remains - Jesus Culture 2. Lavish Love - New Creation Worship 3. Rain Upon My Life - New Creation Worship We are born again of incorruptible seed—the word of God. Matthew 4:4 - It was the very word of God that gave us life in the first place. God formed Adam from the dust of the earth, and He breathed into his body, making him a living soul. “But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4 WEB) 2 Timothy 3:16 - The breath that God gave us life by is what we are meant to live by. Receive God’s word and you will keep receiving this life. Every Scripture is given by the breath of God. “Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness,” (2 Timothy 3:16 WEB) God is not just against sin but He is also against death. Romans 8:2 - We live by a new law of life, not death. “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.” (Romans 8:2 WEB) 1 Corinthians 11:29-30 - When you do not discern the Lord’s body and blood when partaking of the Lord’s Supper, you are subjecting yourself to the law of sin and death that is already out there in the world. The Lord’s Supper is not a formula. Everything in God’s kingdom works by faith. You must receive revelations of God’s word and allow them to saturate your heart, so that when you partake of the Lord’s Supper, it will be effective for you. “For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy way eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he doesn’t discern the Lord’s body. For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.” (1 Corinthians 11:29-30 WEB) Proverbs 4:22 - Spending time in God’s word makes your entire body healthy. “Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body.” (Proverbs 4:21-22 WEB) Isaiah 55:9-11 - God’s full wisdom and thoughts are so concentrated that we will not be able to handle the full brunt of it. God is so good that He allows His wisdom to fall gently like snow and rain to us. God’s word about healing will produce healing in your body. ““For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it grow and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.” (Isaiah 55:9-11 WEB) Isaiah 55:12-13 - Spending time in God’s word makes you joyful and at peace. The cypress tree is what people use as a Christmas tree. The Lord knows that it would become a thing that people do. People will see God’s favor in your life and instead of the curse, you shall experience God’s blessing. “For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands. Instead of the thorn the cypress tree will come up; and instead of the brier the myrtle tree will come up: and it will make a name for Yahweh, for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.”” (Isaiah 55:12-13 WEB)

13 June 2021 - We Are Resurrected Beings - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince showed us through Israel's crossing of the river Jordan that we are no longer on the wilderness side. God has removed all the waters of judgment and we have crossed over on dry land, to the side of the promised land. We are resurrected beings who are dead to the Law and forever alive to God, able to bear good fruit unto God! Praise and Worship Songs Performed:
Luke 4:19 - What day is it? It is now the acceptable year of the Lord. Jesus did not quote the whole Old Testament verse. He did not mention the Day of Vengeance. This is because His first coming was to save us from our sins. It is currently the age of Grace. There will be the Day of Vengeance upon the unbelieving world in the future, but the time has not come. “and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”” (Luke 4:19 WEB) 2 Corinthians 5:19 - God is now inviting all to be reconciled to Him through faith in Jesus Christ. “namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:19 WEB) 2 Peter 3:8 - As far as God is concerned, only two days have passed since Jesus’ birth and His subsequent death at the cross. “But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (2 Peter 3:8 WEB) Luke 23:46 - Jesus did not die out of weakness. He dismissed His spirit in a regal manner like the king He is. “Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” Having said this, he breathed his last.” (Luke 23:46 WEB) John 14:16-17 - The Holy Spirit now permanently lives in us. “I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,— the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.” (John 14:16-17 WEB) 1 John 4:4 - The Holy Spirit in us is greater than the devil or any demon out there in the world. “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4 WEB) Romans 6:6 - Our “old man” has been removed. Only the sinful flesh remains. The flesh is in us, but we are not in the flesh. God sees us in Christ. “knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.” (Romans 6:6 WEB) Romans 6:11 - To our human experience, sin seems alive in us. But to faith, we are dead to sin. We can count ourselves dead to sin because that is what truly happened. “Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:11 WEB) We cannot overcome the flesh on our own. We need to rely on the Holy Spirit. Having the flesh remain with us humbles us, so that we always remember that we need to depend on God. Our soul (will, mind, and emotions) realm is where we still need to be renewed through receiving God’s word. Galatians 2:19 - We are dead to the Law. Pastor Prince is for Law for the reason that God gave the Law. God gave the Law to expose man’s sinfulness. Not so that man can be justified through keeping the Law. “For I, through the law, died to the law, that I might live to God.” (Galatians 2:19 WEB) Romans 7:4-6 - Jesus did not save us just so that we can go back to Law-keeping. Jesus is the alpha and the omega—not just the means to an end. There is nothing wrong with the Law. It is perfect. However, the problem is that we are not perfect. The Law cannot die. It is eternal. We are the ones who died to the Law. We died with Christ when we placed our faith in Him. Since we have died, we can be married to Jesus, our wonderful Savior. Our union with Jesus bears good fruit unto God. “Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might produce fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring out fruit to death. But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.” (Romans 7:4-6 WEB) 2 Corinthians 3:18 - We are transformed by beholding Jesus, not by trying to keep the Law. “But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18 WEB) Romans 7:6-8 - Paul is talking about the Ten Commandments—not the ceremonial law. Paul mentioned “you shall not covet” which is one of the Ten Commandments. The Law is a composite whole. If you break one commandment, you are counted as having broken them all. It is like a string of pearls. If you break one section, they will all drop out. Sin does not work by itself. It takes advantage of the commandment. “But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin, except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting, unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” But sin, finding occasion through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of coveting. For apart from the law, sin is dead.” (Romans 7:6-8 WEB) Romans 7:9-12 - God does not see sin on us, even though there is still sin in our flesh. The devil tries to bring us into bondage by manipulating us to keep the Law. Only the Ten Commandments were engraved on stones. The ceremonial law was not. “I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. The commandment, which was for life, this I found to be for death; for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me. Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good.” (Romans 7:9-12 WEB) John 1:17 - The Law was given (like from a distance), but Grace and truth came (closeness and intimacy) through Jesus Christ. “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” (John 1:17 KJV) 6 June 2021 - Your Righteousness is in Heaven - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince taught us how born-again believers are dead to sin once and for all. We have died in the prison of sin, and have been resurrected in the prison of righteousness. None of your works can undo the salvation that you have received! Praise and Worship Songs Performed: 1. Here is Love - Matt Redman 2. Lavish Love - New Creation Worship 3. Reckless Love - Cory Asbury The amazing thing about listening to preaching is that you can hear a personal word for your situation, out of the logos word that is delivered by the preacher. Acts 2:4-11 - The people from all nations heard the word in their own language—a word that is meant for each of them. “They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under the sky. When this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were bewildered, because everyone heard them speaking in his own language. They were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Behold, aren’t all these who speak Galileans? How do we hear, everyone in our own native language? Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and people from Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia, Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, the parts of Libya around Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians: we hear them speaking in our languages the mighty works of God!”” (Acts 2:4-11 WEB) Isaiah 55:11 - God’s word will be effective in your life. It shall not return to Him void. “so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.” (Isaiah 55:11 WEB) 1 Corinthians 1:21 - The word “save” is “sozo” in the Greek, which is more than just salvation from Hell. It is also healing, wholeness, prosperity, restoration. “For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.” (1 Corinthians 1:21 WEB) Acts 14:9-10 - Faith in God’s word allows you to receive miracles. “He was listening to Paul speaking, who, fastening eyes on him, and seeing that he had faith to be made whole, said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet!” He leaped up and walked.” (Acts 14:9-10 WEB) God is going to do amazing things for families and marriages in this season. 2 Corinthians 5:16-17 - We ought not to view other Christians according to the flesh (a human perspective). “Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:16-17 WEB) Mark 6:5 - How you see Jesus is exactly proportional to how you will receive from Him. The people of Nazareth saw Jesus from a human point of view and most of them could not receive any miracles. “He could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people, and healed them.” (Mark 6:5 WEB) John 9:7 - God wants us to see Jesus as the Savior, Redeemer, and the “Sent One”. “and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.” (John 9:7 WEB) Acts 16:31-34 - Because of you, there is now a big door open in your family to save and bless your other family members. “They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” They spoke the word of the Lord to him, and to all who were in his house. He took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes, and was immediately baptized, he and all his household. He brought them up into his house, and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, with all his household, having believed in God.” (Acts 16:31-34 WEB) Genesis 7:1 - God’s plan was not just to save Noah, but also his family. God only called Noah “righteous”, but his family were also brought into the ark because of Noah. “Yahweh said to Noah, “Come with all of your household into the ship, for I have seen your righteousness before me in this generation.” (Genesis 7:1 WEB) |
