26 April 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Abide as a Branch and Receive Supply from the Living VineIn the Bible, Jesus did not ask anyone He directly impacted to tell a financial testimony. However, there are many testimonies of healings, signs and wonders. For New Creation Church - In 5 years, there were 4 "Miracle Seed Sundays". The Star Vista is 90% paid off and the remaining 10% will be paid off by this year. It is thanks to favor from the Lord, not about human strategies. Give what God puts on your heart. Not more, not less. If you don't hear from Him, don't feel condemned. One day you will be asked to give. John 15:1-14 - This is part of the Upper Room Discourse which is addressing the Church. The miraculous signs in the Book of John are aimed at the nation of Israel. In the Old Testament, Israel was a type of vine. As believers, we are branches connected to the True Vine which is our Lord Jesus Christ. The vine and branches are one. We are not the supplier. We are the ones to bear the fruit. All we have to do is to abide in Christ. Abide means to stay where we are as a branch. The right attitude as a branch is to be relaxed and carefree. The vinedresser, God, will not hold the branch (us) responsible for the quality of fruits that are produced because it is up to the vine (Jesus) to supply them. When we are connected to the vine, we will not be lazy. We will have a holy zeal, and we will produce without burning out. What is done for Christ will last forever. It has eternal value and permanency. On earth people run for gold, while in heaven they walk on it. Heaven's economy is different from that of earth. Everything we do as a believer connected to the Living Vine is righteous - there is no menial task. Prayer is a realisation of what you already are in Christ. "Takes away" is "airo - lifts up". Branches need to be lifted up from the ground in order for them to bear fruit. God lifts us who don't bear fruit up, so that we can bear fruit. "Takes away" is not talking about taking people home to be with the Lord if they don't bear fruit for God. A sermon from God should lift you up, not throw you down in the dust. As the vine is growing, it takes about 3 years for the vine to grow a strong root system and a wide network of branches, for it to be ready to bear grapes. "Prunes" is "kathairo- cleanses" which means to wash the branches with water so that they can bear fruit. "Clean" is "katharos". The more you sit under anointed teaching that washes you, the more fruit you will bear. "“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you." (John 15:1-14 NKJV) Psalm 80:8 - In the Old Testament, Israel is referred to as a vine. "You have brought a vine out of Egypt; You have cast out the nations, and planted it." (Psalms 80:8 NKJV) 1 Corinthians 1:30 - We are put in Christ once we place our trust in Him as our Lord and Savior. "But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—" (I Corinthians 1:30 NKJV)

5 April 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Easter/ Resurrection Sunday Service 2015 - The Resurrection of Jesus Declares Us RighteousJesus died on a Passover of the Jews. Passover doesn't always fall on a Friday. There was a blood moon during the Passover this year. You don't need to worry about the signs, just make sure that you know that you're right with God. 2000 years ago, Death died when Jesus died at the cross. God placed Adam in a perfect paradise with more than enough. Why did he sin? God did not make robots. God gave man the gift of free choice. God cannot exert influence over man's free choice. With the gift of free choice, there is always the risk of man choosing the dark side. We can choose our actions, but we cannot choose the consequences of our actions. Man chose to rebel God, and bowed his knee to the outlaw spirit, Satan. Satan hates us because we are made in God's image, and attacks us because he is unable to attack God directly. God has gone ahead of us into our future, and we are joining Him for the ride that He has prepared. The Lord is our Shepherd. We will not lack if we follow Him. When they sealed the cave where Jesus was buried, they placed a rolling stone to seal the cave. They placed a seal of the Roman Empire on the rolling stone, to warn anyone of punishment if they tried to steal Jesus's body. They even stationed Roman guards to guard the tomb. Those measures didn't prevent Jesus from leaving the tomb. Jesus's resurrected body transcends matter, time and space - He didn't have to move the rolling stone aside. At the Rapture, our bodies will be transformed to become like His. God hates Death. God's plan for us is to be healthy, happy and young forever. Sin brings death and destruction. The more you love a cancer patient, the more you hate the cancer. God hates sin because He loves us. Jesus came to restore us to His own image - the image of the Son of God. We are children of Light, not of darkness. God is outside time, and He is able to take all our sins throughout time, place them on Jesus at the cross, and forgiveness is available to all those who accept it throughout time. Christianity is not a religion, it is a reality. God wants to offer us a relationship with Him. The earth is placed in a perfect position relative to the sun where it is too far to burn, and too near to freeze. It takes more faith to believe in the Big Bang Theory which suggests that a random explosion resulted in this perfect positioning of earth. 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 - The crucifixion of Jesus was a known fact at the time. It was the 'headline news'. Paul talked about witnesses in regards to Jesus being resurrected from the dead, because not everyone saw it happen. Jesus first appeared to Peter, then to others. 500 people seeing Jesus at once cannot be hallucinating. "For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time." (I Corinthians 15:3-8 NKJV) Even those in hell continue to exist for eternity. The gift of eternal life means getting the life of God Himself - the deathless life which He keeps on living. "Zoe" in Hebrew means "eternal life" The feasts, ceremonies and prophecies don't make sense on their own, but when you see the face of Jesus the King in them, the puzzle pieces fit together and it all makes sense. If we reject what we don't understand about God and try to make sense of what God is, we are actually making our logic and reasoning our God. Everyone worships something. 1 Corinthians 15:17-26 - Firstfruits means a sampling of what is to come. Adam is the federal head of the human race. In the natural, we are linked to Adam. Jesus is the new federal head of the new race of men - New Creations in Him. A child sins because of his/her sin nature, but is not responsible for their sins until they reach the age of accountability, because until then, their sin is not imputed to them. Jesus did not come to make bad people good, but He came to make dead people live! Jesus is the only righteous One that ever walked this earth. God took Adam's sin and credited it to all men. At the cross, God took Jesus's righteousness and credited it to all of us. There was a divine exchange where God took our sins and placed it on Jesus, and God took Jesus's righteousness and gives to all of us who believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. "And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death." (I Corinthians 15:17-26 NKJV) Romans 4:25 - God did not raise Jesus because He was His Son. "Because of" is "dia" in Greek. "Dikaio" in Greek means "righteousness". Jesus was raised from the dead to declare that we are righteous! Jesus would not have been raised if we were not seen as righteous in God's eyes. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we can know with certainty that we have been forgiven and are righteous in God's eyes! "who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification". (Romans 4:25 NKJV) "who was delivered up because of our offences, and was raised up because of our being declared righteous." (Romans 4:25 YLT98) Homologous - "Homo" means same, "Logio" means say. We must say the same thing that God says about us, then we will be in sync with Him. Dikaiosis - Thayer's definition - The act of God declaring men free from guilt and acceptable to him abjuring to be righteous, Because God wished to declare us righteous which brings with it the bestowment of life. Fellowship means walking together while being in agreement with each other. As believers, our standing with God is righteous. It is unchanging. Our state changes and fluctuates, but not our standing. Never judge your standing by your state. Judge your state by your standing. Declaring that we are the righteousness of God in Christ doesn't produce licentiousness, but it produces true holiness. God is not interested in having the cross somewhere on the building, He is interested in you having the cross in your heart. Romans 4:25-5:1 - All the fears that we have come from one fear - the fear that God is not on our side. If God is on our side, disease, debt, and all our problems have to kowtow to Him. If God is for you, who can be against you? The resurrection of Jesus is the divine receipt of the payment for our sins. The receipt is for us to have a right to enter the presence of God. When your conscience says that it is not enough, show it the receipt. God is the one receiving the payment and He is satisfied with it! Our feelings have nothing to do with the facts. If we really are in Christ, we are righteous, whether we feel righteous or not. "Justified" is in the aorist tense. "who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ," (Romans 4:25-5:1 NKJV) 1 Samuel 1:12-16 - Because we have peace we God, we don't have to yell. God hears our hearts, not our words. We don't need to pray hard, we need to pray with heart. "And it happened, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli watched her mouth. Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk. So Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from you!” But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. “Do not consider your maidservant a wicked woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now.”" (I Samuel 1:12-16 NKJV) The only area that King David did not talk to God about was his sexual life, and that was the area of his life that gave him the most problems. Sinners don't sin all the time, and they do right things sometimes. Doing right does not make them righteous. Today when we are in Christ, whose work at the cross is much more powerful than Adam's sin, how can sinning change our standing from righteous to unrighteous? We confess our sins because we are righteous, not because we want to become righteous. Our standing of righteousness is permanent. Romans 3:24 - "justified" here is in the present-continuous tense. As believers, there is never a time or condition where we are not righteous. "being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus," (Romans 3:24 NKJV) I hope that you have been blessed by reading this post on "5 April 2015 - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes Online - New Creation Church Sermon Notes Online - Easter/ Resurrection Sunday Service 2015 - The Resurrection of Jesus Declares Us Righteous".
