25 April 2021 - Be Restored and Freed From Guilt - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince taught that guilt cannot be in two places at once. It is either on you, or on Jesus. Will you receive the guilt and pay for it yourself by experiencing the consequences of sin, or will you look to Jesus at the cross as your guilt offering and receive at least one hundred twenty percent of restoration? You can choose! Praise and Worship Songs Performed: 1. This I Know - Aaron Shust 2. Through It All - Hillsong Music 3. Here - New Creation Worship God had anger and wrath, but He has exhausted them all on Jesus’ body at the cross. He had no anger or wrath towards believers today. We are made righteous according to His righteousness, not just by His mercy, Romans 1:16 - The word “salvation” in the verse in the Greek is “soteria” which means salvation from everything that is evil or adverse. It is not just limited to salvation from Hell. God saved us perfectly in our spirit, and He continues to save us in our body and soul. “For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.” (Romans 1:16 WEB) Mark 5:34 - The word “saved” here is “sozo” in Greek, which is the root word of “soteria”. “and he said to her, ‘Daughter, thy faith hath saved thee; go away in peace, and be whole from thy plague.’” (Mark 5:34 YLT98) 2 Corinthians 5:21 - Jesus did not sin, but He was made sin at the cross, so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. This is the divine exchange. He who knew no sin took all our sins so that we who knew no righteousness could be made the righteousness of God in Christ. “For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21 WEB) Romans 14:24 - Paul called the Gospel “my gospel” because Jesus revealed it directly to him. “Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages,” (Romans 14:24 WEB) Romans 1:17 - You cannot earn righteousness. You can only receive it through faith. “For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”” (Romans 1:17 WEB) Romans 5:17 - Righteousness is a gift. We will reign in life here on earth, and not just in the afterlife. When you receive the gift of righteousness, you have to let it affect your emotions as well. You have to meditate on it until you even feel righteous. “For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:17 WEB) The best way to break free from a bondage is to confess, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ,” even in the midst of your sin. True holiness is not about stopping something by willpower but still craving to do it in your heart. True deliverance is when you have no more desire to go back to sins. John 8:32 - God’s truth is beyond the temporal facts. Truth will outlast the facts, and has the power to change the facts. “You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”” (John 8:32 WEB)

18 April 2021 - Persevere in Prayer - New Creation Church Sermon Notes - Pastor Lawrence Lim Sermon Notes
Pastor Lawrence Lim shared how we often receive not because we ask not. This sermon is a good reminder for us all to pray at all times and to ask for great things when we pray. God wants us to reign in life through His grace abounding towards us. If you considered giving up on praying, this message is an encouragement for you to continue in prayer until you see the breakthrough! Praise and Worship Songs Performed:
No matter what darkness you are facing, the light of God’s word will give you wisdom. Luke 12:32 - Abound in hope and always expect good things from God. “Don’t be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.” (Luke 12:32 WEB) Pastor Lawrence shared a testimony about a couple who divorced, but they recently remarried. It is the power of the Gospel of Grace. Psalm 136:1 - Our God is a good God. “Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good; for his loving kindness endures forever.” (Psalms 136:1 WEB) Grace causes one to live a life that glorifies God. Hebrews 11:1 - Bible hope is to have a confident expectation of good things to come. “Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1 WEB) 2 Corinthians 1:20 - All promises of God are yes and amen for us. “For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20 WEB) Joel 3:10 - Our God is the God of all comfort and He strengthens those who are weak. His grace is more than enough for us. “Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’” (Joel 3:10 WEB) Mark 9:28-29 - In the original Greek, the word “fasting” is not there. Jesus is emphasizing the power of prayer. “When he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?” He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting.”” (Mark 9:28-29 WEB) Matthew 21:13-14 - Believers are the house of God today. When we are a house of prayer, amazing miraculous breakthroughs will happen. “He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers!” The blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.” (Matthew 21:13-14 WEB) Luke 11:9-13 - Jesus made prayer so simple: ask and you shall receive. The Lord is encouraging us to ask of Him, knowing that He will open doors for us. Don’t make prayer so complicated—do not worry if you are doing it right or not. ““I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”” (Luke 11:9-13 WEB) Luke 18:1-8 - Be bold to ask God for great things. You receive not because you ask not. “He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up, saying, “There was a judge in a certain city who didn’t fear God, and didn’t respect man. A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, ‘Defend me from my adversary!’ He wouldn’t for a while, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God, nor respect man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.’” The Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says. Won’t God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them? I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”” (Luke 18:1-8 WEB) Luke 1:37 - Faith is the substance of things hoped for. It is only through abounding in hope that faith is activated. “For nothing spoken by God is impossible.”” (Luke 1:37 WEB) Pastor Lawrence shared a testimony of a couple who managed to have a baby girl after seven years of waiting upon the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:57 - No matter what you are going through, we receive the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57 WEB) Acts 12:1-10 - The church faced a crisis. James was killed, but when Peter was arrested, constant prayer was made for him. When the church prayed for Peter, an angel was sent to rescue Peter out of the prison. Do not give up on prayer--your time is coming. “Now about that time, King Herod stretched out his hands to oppress some of the assembly. He killed James, the brother of John, with the sword. When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This was during the days of unleavened bread. When he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of four soldiers each to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the Passover. Peter therefore was kept in the prison, but constant prayer was made by the assembly to God for him. The same night when Herod was about to bring him out, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept the prison. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up, saying, “Stand up quickly!” His chains fell off from his hands. The angel said to him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” He did so. He said to him, “Put on your cloak, and follow me.” And he went out and followed him. He didn’t know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision. When they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself. They went out, and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.” (Acts 12:1-10 WEB) 11 April 2021 - Keep the Son in your Eyes - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesPastor Joseph Prince shared that it is God’s ultimate plan for us is to become like Jesus in every way. The Bible says, “As He is, so are we in this world.” Even right now, you can speak and act like Jesus, and have the Jesus kind of results in your life, simply by keeping your eyes on Him. As you do so, the Holy Spirit will produce the transformations in you! Praise and Worship Songs Performed: 1. As He Is So Are We - New Creation Worship 2. How Great Thou Art - Stuart Wesley Keene Hine 3. How Great Is Our God - Chris Tomlin Romans 4:25 - Jesus was raised from the dead, showing that we are truly justified before God. “who was delivered up because of our offences, and was raised up because of our being declared righteous.” (Romans 4:25 YLT98) Romans 8:3 - There was no sin in Jesus’ flesh. His was just the “likeness” of sinful flesh. “For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;” (Romans 8:3 WEB) No one could kill Jesus without His permission. Many tried but they failed. Jesus willingly laid down His life at the cross. Jesus is masterful at whatever He does. Jesus’ work was to remove our sins so that we can enter the presence of a holy God, and we know that He has done a perfect work. The salvation He purchased for us lasts forever! 1 John 5:13 - It is not about the amount of faith you have. It is about the trustworthiness of the person you are having faith in. Jesus is one hundred percent trustworthy. Eternal life is not about living eternally. Those in Hell also live forever. Our spirit lives forever because it is God-breathed. The spirit has to live somewhere. Eternal life is about the quality of life. When we are born again, we receive the “zoe” life of God—the same quality of life that He lives by. “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:13 WEB) John 10:10 - Jesus came to give us eternal life—the abundant quality of life that God lives by. “The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.” (John 10:10 WEB) Man had a choice whether to eat from the tree of life or the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Eating from the tree of life won’t make you licentious—it will cause you to have more moral excellence than eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. 4 April 2021 - The Resurrection Declares You Righteous - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon NotesJesus has been raised from the dead and He is now seated far above all principalities and powers. The Bible says that we who believe in Him have been raised with Him and are now seated in Heaven as joint-heirs with Him. Praise and Worship Songs Performed: 1. Jesus is Alive - Hillsong Music 2. Finished - New Creation Worship 3. What a Beautiful Name - Hillsong Music 4. Tear Through the Veil - Decibel Worship 5. Resurrecting 6. Because He Lives 7. Tell Me The Story of Jesus 8. As He is So Are We - New Creation Worship The resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is more important than Christmas. It ends the old order of creation (sons of Adam) and marks the beginning of a new creation in Christ. Romans 4:25 - Jesus was raised from the dead, which tells us that we have been justified. “who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.” (Romans 4:25 NKJV) John 3:3 - All believers have gone through a spiritual rebirth. “Jesus answered him, “Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”” (John 3:3 WEB) John 3:16 - God loves the whole world so much that He gave us Jesus as the payment for all our sins. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 WEB) Romans 6:23 - Not just physical death, but also spiritual death: being cast into everlasting fire which the Bible calls “the second death”—forever separated from God. “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23 WEB) 2 Peter 3:9 - God’s heart is for all to be saved. He does not want any to perish and be eternally separated from Him. “The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9 WEB) Why didn’t God just stop man from sinning? When you create someone with free choice, you must give him the right to exercise that free choice. The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was an option for man to choose. Free choice would be a farce if there was no option to exercise the free choice. Adam chose to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God had already told Adam about the consequences of eating from that tree. The curse came upon this world because of sin and that’s why we see sickness and death today. 1 Corinthians 15:26 - God calls death an enemy. “The last enemy that will be abolished is death.” (1 Corinthians 15:26 WEB) Man was separated from God because of sin. Genesis 3:15 - Jesus crushed the serpent’s (Satan) head at the cross. “I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”” (Genesis 3:15 WEB) |
