When pastors preach in services, they are dealing with lives.
Depression to the point of contemplating suicide is not just on those of the world but it is coming on believers as well.
Believers are supposed to be the happiest people in the world!
The devil doesn’t want us to be happy and he wants us to be bad advertisements for Jesus.

We don’t have to be afraid of the devil’s attacks because we have the most powerful weapon on our side (stronger than nuclear weapons): the blood of Jesus and the name of Jesus.

At the name of Jesus every knee bows - every cancer, long term ailment, chronic disease, curse - they all bow.

Now we have the power of attorney - we have the legal permission to act on behalf of a name - Jesus.

When a man cannot control himself, it’s most likely motivated by an evil spirit.
Medicine is not a cure, it only helps temporarily.
We need spiritual weapons - bind the evil spirits in Jesus’ name.

Ezekiel 28:13-19 - Cherubs were the highest intelligence before man came. The devil’s wisdom is now corrupted but he still has that intelligence.

“You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. “You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you. “By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones. “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you. “You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities, By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you. All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you; You have become a horror, And shall be no more forever.” ’ ” (Ezekiel 28:13-19 NKJV)

Psalm 89:14 - The devil wants to be the successor of God.
We are caught in the battle of the ages.
The devil knows that God’s throne is established by righteousness.
Any slight infringement of righteousness or justice by God will cause Him to lose His throne.
“Mercy and truth” in Hebrew is “Hesed ve emet” which means grace and truth.

“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.” (Psalms 89:14 NKJV)

Self-condemnation is accepting the sentence of the devil. So how do we resist the devil? By being strong in the truth that “I am the righteousness of God in Christ” and keep declaring it.

The Devil is a master lawyer who keeps accusing us - he wants you to accept the self-condemnation

The cherubs and the mercy seat on the Ark of the Covenant were made out of the same slab of gold - Mercy cannot be exercised at the expense of righteousness.
After Adam sinned, the two cherubs prevented Adam and Eve from returning to the Garden of Eden - they are custodians of God’s righteousness.

The devil riled the crowds up to shout “Crucify Him!” thinking that the cross would finish Jesus off once and for all - the devil didn’t know that it would be his own doom.

The punishment that was inflicted upon Jesus at the cross was not from the devil - it was from God.
Jesus took our place at the cross. Every vestige of sin was judged in Jesus’ body - none escaped.
God has already exacted the full penalty for sins upon Jesus.
It would be unrighteous to deny that we as believers are righteous today.

Pastor Prince noticed for more than 15 years that many divorced women who were married to emotionally abusive husbands come down with breast cancer or some disease that is terminal.
That doesn’t seem fair right? Shouldn’t the attacker be the one who suffers sickness and not the victims?
The devil doesn’t care about fairness - he would even attack a child. The devil hates you.

The devil saw that God loves man. So he tried to use God’s love for man to make God compromise on His righteousness.

It’s good that Adam fell. If Adam didn’t fall, he would just be in a garden. Now we are seated in heavenly places with Christ.
Jesus now wears a crown of redemption, not just a crown of creation. God gained much more from redemption than creation.

The devil’s work is always through people who are self-righteous.
The devil will always promote a form of Christianity that preaches about having to earn your own righteousness - He transforms himself into an angel of light.

Even when your wife is being strange and emotional sometimes, you have to be the one to take that nonsense.
You have to bite your lip and persevere through it. Don’t be emotional too - be a man. Being a boy is a matter of birth, but being a man is a matter of choice.

Galatians 3:23-25 - In the Bible, the definite article “the faith” refers to justification by faith.

“But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.” (Galatians 3:23-25 NKJV)

I Peter 5:8-9 - These verses are encouraging because it means that the devil cannot devour anyone at will.
“Adversary” here in Greek is “antidikos”means an opponent in a lawsuit.
Satan in Hebrew means “a prosecutor in a court scene”.
The devil is a master lawyer. He is a prosecutor.
Many of the things he accuses us with are real things that we have or have not done.
How do we resist the devil? By being strong in the truth that “I am the righteousness of God in Christ” and keep declaring it.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” (I Peter 5:8-9 NKJV)

Revelation 12:10-11 - Why did Jesus sprinkle blood 7 times in a place in heaven?
It is because the devil used to stand in that place to accuse man.
That place belonged to Adam but was given to the devil when Adam sinned.
Declare the blood of Jesus on what's yours: The devil cannot touch whatever has the blood of Jesus on it - the devil is a lawyer and he knows that.

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” (Revelation 12:10-11 NKJV)

Why doesn’t God just destroy the devil now?
The devil has infected man with his sinfulness.
Sinners who have not received Jesus are identified with the devil.
Just like how God called Noah righteous and Noah and his family all went in safely into the ark - it is identification by the representative head of the family.
If God wipes out the devil now, all sinners will be wiped out too.

The devil is aiming higher - he is not just aiming to escape hell, he’s aiming to take God’s throne.

Hebrews 2:14-15 - If you’re afraid of death, you’re subject to bondage your whole life. All fears stem from the fear of death.
Example: You're not afraid of the doctor - you're afraid of a bad medical report that could mean you're dying.

“Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Hebrews 2:14-15 NKJV)

Deflect the sentence of the devil by declaring that you are the righteousness of God in Christ. He will flee from you!

Zechariah 3:1-3 - In the book of Ezra, it describes how Israel was building a temple for God and the enemies of Israel were writing accusatory letters to them and to the Persian king, insulting and denouncing the temple project.
As a result, the king stopped the building project for 15 years. It seemed like Israel’s favor stopped flowing with the king.
Joshua was the high priest which means he was the spiritual leader of Israel.
The word “oppose” in Hebrew is Satan. Satan means “to accuse”.
Even Joshua, the one who was in charge of the entire temple building project was discouraged.
The devil was pointing Joshua to his filthy garments.
Joshua was focused on that and that’s why God’s favor didn’t flow for Israel. Favor cannot flow when you are under accusation.
When you are under accusation, you are denying that Jesus has made you righteous and are accepting the sentence of the devil and have to accept the punishment that comes with that sentence.
After Joshua shook that off, the favor flowed with the king again.

“Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.” (Zechariah 3:1-3 NKJV)

Romans 14:22-23 - The word “condemn” in Greek is “katakrino” which means absolute condemnation - it is a sentence, a punishment.
If you condemn yourself for eating, you’re accepting the devil’s sentence and the resulting punishment upon yourself: sickness, obesity, mental damage etc.
Feeling bad about it is not a trivial matter - the devil is not stupid.
Chinese New Year is coming: if you condemn yourself for eating the goodies, you will put on weight because your body’s molecules are very intelligent:
If you want to punish yourself, your body will tell itself to retain the food and put on weight.
We have a law in our heads that we cannot waste food because of negative programming from our parents: “Don’t waste food - think about those starving children in Ghana”.
Every time we don’t finish our food, we feel bad and want to punish ourselves. Even people in their 60s still have this wrong believing.
If you diet, your body will think that you’re starving and command itself to retain all the food you eat and convert it to fats to store as backup energy.
Don’t diet - eat without anxiety and be carefree.
Follow the Holy Spirit - eat when you’re hungry, stop eating when you’re full.

“Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.” (Romans 14:22-23 NKJV)

Romans 8:34 - "Who is he who condemns?" is said as an emphatic challenge to those who would wrongly say that believers are still subject to condemnation.
The word “condemns” here is also katakrino.
This condemnation does not come from God. It is self-condemnation.
Jesus intercedes for us - He is not condemning us.
If you don’t see Jesus as your sin offering, you will make something else in your life as a sin offering.

“Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” (Romans 8:34 NKJV)

Isaiah 54:17 - If there were accusatory or condemning words spoken about you, you must judge the accusation - Say: “I bind this accusation in Jesus’ name!”
Don’t condemn the person who said it, reject the words.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.” (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV)

If an accusation is false, then the penalty for the accusation will fall on the accuser.
Every time you declare “I am the righteousness of God in Christ”, Satan flees.
Why? Because if he doesn’t and continues to accuse you, he will have to accept the punishment for it.
