26 August 2018 - The Tenth Sanctifies the Whole - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

This message is a continuation of Pastor Prince's previous sermon "Draw the Blood Line of Protection".

God has increased New Creation Church numerically, the church has increased financially, and people in the church have blossomed into families. 

Every time Pastor Prince is preparing for a message, he feels overwhelmed because he wants to preach the word that is from the Lord.

For preachers and teachers, never preach according to people’s faces. If you have a word from the Lord, you have to release that. 

Preachers cannot just preach any message because the message must be from the Lord.
It can’t just be scriptural - it has to be a word in season, a prophetic word.

Pastor Prince had received word from the Lord to preach this message that you're reading but he felt uncomfortable to preach about the topic, so he proceeded to prepare a different message. 
Then at 12am, he felt like he wasn't happy about the message he had prepared, so he was obedient to prepare the original word that the Lord has for us. 

It's an uncomfortable topic for Pastor Prince because the message is about how to prosper, and he doesn't want to receive criticism or people labelling and condemning him as a 'prosperity preacher' who is preaching the 'prosperity gospel' or 'health and wealth gospel'. 

God’s is concerned about us, and it is His desire that we should prosper in every area of our lives. 

The word for prosper used in the Old Testament is the Hebrew word “Saliak”.

If Pastor Prince preaches himself happy it’s because he has released the word that God wants him to preach.

Isaiah 60:1-5 - There will be a Millennium where Christ rules on earth. Christians won’t have to hide while worshipping God. 
This passage is not referring to the Millennial Reign of Christ because there won’t be darkness covering the earth during that time. 
This passage is talking about our time. It seems like the devil knows that his time is short and that Jesus is coming back soon.
Despite the deep darkness, the glory of the Lord will be visible upon us. 
Potiphar, a heathen, could see the glory of God upon Joseph. It’s a visible token. 
Familial reconciliation will take place for us too. 
The wealth of the Gentiles will come to us too. 
Study the life of Joseph because what has happened for him will happen for us too.
Study the lives of Abraham and Lot - one is a victorious believer and the other a defeated believer. Which one do you want to be? 

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.” (Isaiah 60:1-5 NKJV)

 I Corinthians 10:11 - The Old Testament has value for us today.
God has hidden great truths in it. It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but it is the glory of king to search out a matter. 
The Old Testament is the New concealed. The New Testament is the Old revealed. 
Everything that happened in the Old Testament happened as an example for us.

“Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.” (I Corinthians 10:11 NKJV)

Romans 15:4 - Hope is a confident expectation of good. Even if you receive a negative report from the doctor, you can still have hope.
Hope is seeing brightness where darkness was. 
When God created the earth, He saw darkness on the face of earth, and He said “Light be”. He called forth what He wanted to see. 
On the night of the tenth plague in Egypt, the blood of the lamb was applied on the lintel and the doorposts, outside the house. The blood of Christ is not for us to see, it’s for God to see.
Even if we don't feel the protection of the blood of Christ on us, it is still as effective because God sees it.  
Only God can correctly estimate the value and preciousness of the blood of His Son.
It’s not about how great your faith is. It’s about the greatness of the Person you’re putting your trust in. 
If you have trust in the right Person, even touching the hem of that Person is enough for you to be healed. 
The work of Christ on the cross makes you safe, but it is the word of God (“when I see the blood I will pass over you”) that makes you sure. 

“For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.” (Romans 15:4 NKJV)

God is our Senior Partner and yet He only asks for 10%. You can give more than that but 10% is the minimum. When you give 10% to God of whatever you have (money, time, energy, etc.), He sanctifies the other 90%. Tithing is only for those who have received the revelation of it. Whatever is holy, the devil cannot touch.

There will be a wealth transfer from sinners to believers in these last days

There is only one day in history where there was two evenings. It was the day where Jesus died on the cross. 
From 12pm- 3pm, darkness covered the land - the first evening. 
At 3pm, Jesus died and then there was light again. 

After Jesus died on the cross and His body was brought down from the cross, there was another another evening at 6pm.
Jesus is the One who died between two evenings, as prophesied in Exodus 12:6.

"And it hath become a charge to you, until the fourteenth day of this month, and the whole assembly of the company of Israel have slaughtered it between the evenings; " (Exodus 12:6 YLT)

Exodus 10:21-23 - There was thick darkness that could even be felt. 
When darkness covers the earth, the people of God will have light in their dwellings.
This light is supernatural light. If it wasn’t, Pharaoh and the Egyptians can just light up a candle and it won’t be dark anymore. It’s also a supernatural darkness that covered the Egyptians.

“Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, darkness which may even be felt.” So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days. They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.” (Exodus 10:21-23 NKJV)

The Holy Communion is the institution of the New Covenant. The blood is for the remission (sending away) of sins. Many believers are acting as though their sins were not sent away. 

Exodus 11:1-7 - God sent ten plagues upon Pharaoh and hardened his heart each time. It is a scary thing to know that the plagues are from God and yet still be able to harden one's heart towards Him.
There will be favor upon God’s people in these last days. 
God will put a difference between the Egyptians and His people. 

“And the LORD said to Moses, “I will bring one more plague on Pharaoh and on Egypt. Afterward he will let you go from here. When he lets you go, he will surely drive you out of here altogether. Speak now in the hearing of the people, and let every man ask from his neighbor and every woman from her neighbor, articles of silver and articles of gold.” And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants and in the sight of the people. Then Moses said, “Thus says the LORD: ‘About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt; and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the female servant who is behind the handmill, and all the firstborn of the animals. Then there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as was not like it before, nor shall be like it again. But against none of the children of Israel shall a dog move its tongue, against man or beast, that you may know that the LORD does make a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.’” (Exodus11:1-7 NKJV)

Psalm 105:37 - There were about 2-3 million children of Israel who came out of Egypt and yet not one was feeble. 
They all walked out, not crippled, not sick, not on crutches - non feeble  among the few million.
If that could happen to them who only had a shadow of the true Lamb, then shouldn’t we who have the true Substance have much more? 
Not only were they healthy, they were wealthy. (Now do you see why Pastor Prince was hestitate about preaching this message? But it is the truth from the Lord)

“He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes.” (Psalms 105:37 NKJV)

Your heart cannot be satisfied by worldly pleasures or hedonistic pursuits.
You must have an object worthy and large enough for your heart. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can fill your heart. 
No child nor spouse can satisfy that place in your heart. 

Proverbs 13:22 - Don’t envy the wealthy tech giants in this world. They are working and storing up wealth for you. 
When will it happen? After the last of the ten plagues. They came out with gold and silver, plus interest. 
All the wealth is so that the children of Israel could build God’s house. 

“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.” (Proverbs 13:22 NKJV)

Proverbs 28:8 - There was a mountain in Bolivia where at one time in history most of the silver in the world was mined from it. The poor villagers there died early before the age of 50 because of the poisonous fumes that was bad for their lungs. 
Corporations got rich from their sacrifice. The wealth of sinners will be transferred to believers in the end times. Get ready to receive it! 

“One who increases his possessions by usury and extortion Gathers it for him who will pity the poor.” (Proverbs 28:8 NKJV)

Ecclesiastes 2:26 - The sinners are assigned the task of gathering up wealth for God’s people. 

“For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.” (Ecclesiastes 2:26 NKJV)

James 5:3-4 - Here God is talking to the wealthy sinner. 
The timeline is talking about wealth transfer in “the last days”. It won’t be illegal. God will transfer this wealth to faithful believers.

“Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabbath.” (James 5:3-4 NKJV)

Luke 16:10-12 - The context here refers to money. 
The Bible calls money “least” in God’s estimate. Yet it is the means for exchange on this earth. 
The default mode for money is unrighteous. 
You can sanctify money by tithing. 
God helps those who are helpless, not those who can help themselves. 
Jesus said where your money (treasure) is, your heart will follow.
Where you invest your money, your heart will naturally follow after it. So invest it into the things of God and your heart will follow after God. 
If you’re not faithful in the littlest things (money) then why would God trust you with the true riches (ministry, wisdom, etc.).
God always puts a person under someone before giving that person his own ministry.
Before Elisha had a ministry of his own, he was put under Elijah. When it was time for Elisha to have his ministry, he received a double portion of anointing from the Lord. 

“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?” (Luke 16:10-12 NKJV)

Tithing sanctifies your money and the devil cannot touch it

Pastor Prince is in a moral position to talk about tithing because he doesn't receive a salary from the church. 
That being said, Pastor Prince believes that every pastor should be supported financially by the church. 
Pastor Prince's unique situation is not what is supposed to be commonplace for every pastor. 

Romans 11:16 - The toilet bowl is not holy. It’s for common use. 
Your wife doesn’t put her precious jewelry on the toilet bowl right? She probably keeps it somewhere safe, under lock and key.
That’s holy (set apart). Precious things are set apart. 
Jesus had an air of royalty even when He walked among the poor on earth. He exuded humility, and He wasn’t proud. 
God is our Senior Partner and yet He only asks for 10%. You can give more than that but 10% is the minimum. 
When you give 10% to God of whatever you have (money, time, energy, etc.), He sanctifies the other 90%. 
Tithing is only for those who have received the revelation of it.
Whatever is holy, the devil cannot touch. 
Scientists say we only use one tenth of our brains. What if we give that tenth to God? It may unlock the other nine tenth by making it holy. 

“For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.” (Romans 11:16 NKJV)

John 12:24 - You can watch the “Dynamic Kernels Wheat Project” and “Dynamic Kernels Tithing Experiment” below which were mentioned by Pastor Prince in this sermon. 
You will see the truth and blessing of tithing in action. 

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” (John 12:24 NKJV)

Malachi 3:7-12 - In the passage below, Israel is at this time backslidden from God.
To return to God here refers to return via tithes and offerings. 
Notice that God says "you are cursed" and not "I cursed you". ​
The curse came when Adam sinned. The ground was cursed, the serpent (Satan) was cursed,  and the stress of gathering food (income) for the family is part of the curse. 
The earth is fallen. You can’t depend on “Eden’s diet” (eating only vegetarian food) to eat your way to health.
The ground is cursed so that’s why God calls money “unrighteous mammon”. The currency notes and chequebooks that we use are made from paper which is taken from the ground. Even the chips in our credit cards are made from sand which is from the ground. 
The first time the “windows of heaven” are mentioned, it was when God flooded the earth for 40 days and 40 nights during Noah's time. 
When we tithe, God will pour out blessings on us for 40 days and 40 nights, just over one month. There is an idea here of tithing every month. 
"Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field" in its context talks about protection from miscarriages.  

“Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances And have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” Says the LORD of hosts. “But you said, ‘In what way shall we return?’ “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts; “And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,” Says the LORD of hosts.” (Malachi 3:7-12 NKJV)

Malachi 3:1-2 - Some people say that Malachi chapter 3 is part of the Old Testament so it's not for us today.
But the context of this chapter is for the period of time before the Second Coming of Christ. 
The First Coming of Christ didn’t happen suddenly.
The First Coming of Christ can be endured - Jesus came as a baby in Bethlehem.

““Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the LORD of hosts. “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire And like launderers’ soap.” (Malachi 3:1-2 NKJV)

Being under Grace doesn’t mean doing nothing. Being under Grace means to live with a posture of rest. Rest is not inactivity, but Spirit-directed activity.

Luke 11:42 - The Grace people say that there’s no need to tithe anymore because Jesus is our tithe. 
Jesus means to keep on tithing, and do it with the right reasons - let the love of God motivate your heart. 

““But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.” (Luke 11:42 NKJV)

Genesis 15:1 - In the previous chapter Genesis 14, Abraham had just tithed his spoils of war to Melchizedek and was probably also worried about retaliation from the king of Sodom.
God assured Abraham that He is his shield (in Hebrew: magen). 
But why is God saying that He is Abraham’s exceedingly great reward?
The Hebrew word “Aser (Rich)” is in the word “Maaser (Tithe)” - Rich is in the tithe. 
The word “reward” actually means salary. 
Jesus is a High Priest forever according to the Order of Melchizedek. ​

“After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”” (Genesis 15:1 NKJV)

Hebrew 7:7-10 - The One who blesses is greater than the one receiving the blessing. 
The word “receives” is in the present passive participle. 
Jesus is the true Melchizedek who keeps on receiving our tithes in heaven. 
We serve based on the grace that we have received from God.
We can cultivate the grace we have received to go from grace to grace.
All of us have the grace to tithe. It’s a secret of the end times.

“Now beyond all contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better. Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak, for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.” (Hebrews 7:7-10 NKJV)

Nehemiah 2:10 - When Israel had rebuilt the temple, they cried because it was nowhere near the glory of Solomon’s temple.
However the prophet Haggai encouraged them not to cry because Jesus, the Son of God would set His feet inside the new temple. 
Therefore the glory of the latter house would be greater than the former. 
Sanballat and Tobiah were enemies of Israel, opposing the rebuilding of the temple. 

“When Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official heard of it, they were deeply disturbed that a man had come to seek the well-being of the children of Israel.” (Nehemiah 2:10 NKJV)

Nehemiah 2:19-20 - God Himself is the One who prospered Israel to build the temple. 

“But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us, and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?” So I answered them, and said to them, “The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build, but you have no heritage or right or memorial in Jerusalem.”” (Nehemiah 2:19-20 NKJV)

Nehemiah 13:1-13 - Eliashib removed the tithes which belonged in that large room, in order to prepare a room for Tobiah. 
Tobiah is not a Jew, he’s an enemy of Israel. “Tobiah” means God is good. So how can he be evil? 
The Grace people today say God is good so we don’t have to tithe. 
That’s just a humanistic “God is good”, not based on scripture. 
The devil also teaches that God is good so we don’t need to receive Jesus in order to be saved. 
It’s exactly because God is good, that's why we get to tithe. 
Pastor Prince will reveal in his official sermon notes of this message something about the meanings of the names of the men that Nehemiah appointed as treasurers.

“On that day they read from the Book of Moses in the hearing of the people, and in it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever come into the assembly of God, because they had not met the children of Israel with bread and water, but hired Balaam against them to curse them. However, our God turned the curse into a blessing. So it was, when they had heard the Law, that they separated all the mixed multitude from Israel. Now before this, Eliashib the priest, having authority over the storerooms of the house of our God, was allied with Tobiah. And he had prepared for him a large room, where previously they had stored the grain offerings, the frankincense, the articles, the tithes of grain, the new wine and oil, which were commanded to be given to the Levites and singers and gatekeepers, and the offerings for the priests. But during all this I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon I had returned to the king. Then after certain days I obtained leave from the king, and I came to Jerusalem and discovered the evil that Eliashib had done for Tobiah, in preparing a room for him in the courts of the house of God. And it grieved me bitterly; therefore I threw all the household goods of Tobiah out of the room. Then I commanded them to cleanse the rooms; and I brought back into them the articles of the house of God, with the grain offering and the frankincense. I also realized that the portions for the Levites had not been given them; for each of the Levites and the singers who did the work had gone back to his field. So I contended with the rulers, and said, “Why is the house of God forsaken?” And I gathered them together and set them in their place. Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil to the storehouse. And I appointed as treasurers over the storehouse Shelemiah the priest and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah; and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah; for they were considered faithful, and their task was to distribute to their brethren.” (Nehemiah 13:1-13 NKJV)

Genesis 24:10 - The ten camels represented all the master's goods. This shows the principle of ten representing all. 

“Then the servant took ten of his master’s camels and departed, for all his master’s goods were in his hand. And he arose and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.” (Genesis 24:10 NKJV)
