Pastor Joseph Prince taught that the biggest mistake is to believe that healing is man’s work. It is the work of God, and the best way to receive it is by being restful. Not physical rest, but inward rest from trying to earn or deserve healing through works.

1 Corinthians 5:7b - Jesus is our true Passover Lamb.

“Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 1:29 - The natural Passover lamb only covered the sins of Israel for a year, but Jesus is the true payment that took away our sins.

“The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John‬ ‭1:29‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Genesis 22:7-8 - Just like God provided a lamb so that Isaac was spared, God provided Jesus so that we are spared from God’s judgment for sins.

“Isaac spoke to Abraham his father, and said, “My father?” He said, “Here I am, my son.” He said, “Here is the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” Abraham said, “God will provide himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they both went together.” (Genesis‬ ‭22:7-8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 105:37 - The children of Israel came out of Egypt with gold and silver, and none of them were feeble. This happened after they partook of the roasted Passover lamb.

“He brought them out with silver and gold. There was not one feeble person among his tribes.” (Psalms‬ ‭105:37‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Hebrews 9:22 - No amount of good works are enough to atone for our sins. God’s righteousness demands a perfect sacrifice. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.

“According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.” (Hebrews‬ ‭9:22‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 3:16 - God loves the world with an everlasting love.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 23:6 - Don’t believe in the devil who hates you. Always doubt his words. Instead, trust God who always loves you. Expect God’s goodness and mercy to follow you all the days of your life.

“Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever.” (Psalms‬ ‭23:6‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

There is still sin in our flesh, but there is no sin on us in the eyes of God. God sees us as blameless and righteous in Christ Jesus. We received righteousness as a gift.

For a believer, the holiness of God is on our side. Today, God’s holiness demands our acquittal and our blessing. He is righteous, and therefore He will surely count us as righteous.

When man rests, God works. Receive your healing by resting in Christ

Psalm 103:2-3 - Healing is the next most important blessing after forgiveness of sins.
When Jesus healed the paralytic, He first told him, “Your sins are forgiven you...” The paralytic needed to be assured of his forgiveness of sins first in order to receive healing.
One of the primary reasons that people cannot receive healing is because they have self-condemnation and they don’t believe that God has forgiven them.

“Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases;” (Psalms‬ ‭103:2-3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 14:9 - To see God’s will in action, look at what Jesus did in the four gospels.
Jesus went around healing people from sicknesses and diseases. Healing is God’s priority.

“Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father?’” (John‬ ‭14:9‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Acts 10:38 - Sickness is an oppression from the devil—not something that God uses to punish us.

“even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” (Acts‬ ‭10:38‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

When we were born-again, we were not healed. We were re-created, regenerated.

1 Corinthians 15:25-26 - If the last enemy to be put under Jesus’ feet is Death, then that means sickness will already be under Jesus’ feet by then.

“For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:25-26‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Matthew 9:33-36 - Jesus went around teaching, preaching, and then healing. This is the pattern of the Lord.

“When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!” But the Pharisees said, “By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons.” Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.” (Matthew‬ ‭9:33-36‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ezekiel 34:1-5 - Many pastors are afraid of preaching about healing or praying for healing because they are afraid that people won’t be healed.
The devil has successfully planted this fear in the hearts of many believers.
Celebrate those who are healed, don’t focus on those who are not healed.
Oftentimes it’s just the ego of the pastor preventing him from taking the risk to pray for healing. It is easier to just say that healing is not for today.
Even in New Creation Church, there isn’t a 100% healing success rate, but it is an upward stumbling. We are learning more and more about healing.
Healing the sick is one of the instructions of the Lord to the shepherds (pastors).

“Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and tell them, even to the shepherds, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Shouldn’t the shepherds feed the sheep? You eat the fat, and you clothe yourself with the wool, you kill the fatlings; but you don’t feed the sheep. You haven’t strengthened the diseased, neither have you healed that which was sick, neither have you bound up that which was broken, neither have you brought back that which was driven away, neither have you sought that which was lost; but with force and with rigor you have ruled over them. They were scattered, because there was no shepherd; and they became food to all the animals of the field, and were scattered.” (Ezekiel‬ ‭34:1-5‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 23:1 - When the people have a shepherd, they shall not lack.

“Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.” (Psalms‬ ‭23:1‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 21:15-17 - The primary role of shepherds (and pastors) is to feed the flock, tend them, and pour the oil of healing.

“So when they had eaten their breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?” Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time, “Do you have affection for me?” He said to him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.” (John‬ ‭21:15-17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Song of Solomon 1:7-8 - The woman wanted to know where food and rest can be found.
Follow the tracks of the sheep—stay close to God’s people. Forgive one another and bear with one another.
Wherever the Lord’s flock is, the Lord Himself is near.
When you feed others, you will be even more well-fed and rested yourself.

“Tell me, you whom my soul loves, where you graze your flock, where you rest them at noon; For why should I be as one who is veiled beside the flocks of your companions? If you don’t know, most beautiful among women, follow the tracks of the sheep. Graze your young goats beside the shepherds’ tents.” (Song of Solomon‬ ‭1:7-8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 23:2 - The “still” waters is “menuchah” in Hebrew which means restful. The restful waters.

“He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.” (Psalms‬ ‭23:2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 John 3:2-3 - Everyone who has the hope of the Lord’s imminent return purifies themselves.

“Beloved, now we are children of God, and it is not yet revealed what we will be. But we know that, when he is revealed, we will be like him; for we will see him just as he is. Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure.” (1 John‬ ‭3:2-3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

5 is the number of grace. The measurements of the tabernacle are in multiples of 5’s. The 5th time that Noah’s name is mentioned, it says that Noah found Grace. The 5th time Ruth’s name is mentioned, it says Ruth found Grace. The Hebrew letter “hei” corresponds with the number 5.

Luke 15:17 - In the miracle of the multiplication of 5 loaves and 2 fishes, the numbers teach us something. 2 represents house (bet) and 5 represents grace (hei)—so it’s “house of grace” like Bethesda.
In the house of Grace you can find supply and food to spare.
The house of grace is the church.

“But when he came to himself he said, ‘How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough to spare, and I’m dying with hunger!” (Luke‬ ‭15:17‬ ‭WEB‬)

Romans 3:20 - The Law is like a mirror that shows us our blemishes. But we cannot use the mirror to wipe off the blemishes. The Law was not given to make us holy but to show us how sinful we are.

“Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For through the law comes the knowledge of sin.” (Romans‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

John 13:34 - The supply of Grace always exceeds the demands of the Law.
Love is the fulfillment of the Law.
One who is miserly can still obey the Law to not steal, but grace makes you generous.
One who doesn’t love his wife can obey the Law by not committing adultery physically, but grace makes you love your wife like Christ loved the church.
Grace doesn’t make you sin more. It makes you fall out of love with sin and fall in love with Jesus.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another." (John 13:34 WEB)

For every tear you cry there will be a restoration. The Lord keeps your tears in a bottle.

John 5:1-18 - Sometimes the Lord allows you to wander until there is no more reliance on the flesh left.
The way of grace is to rest and believe.
Instead of focusing on the amazing miracle of healing, the people were focused on the man carrying the mat on a Sabbath day. They were focused on the work and not on God’s supply.
Smoking is a sin because you are defiling the temple of God.
Jesus told the man not to return to that same sin that caused him to be crippled.
This healing took place on a Sabbath day when man was supposed to be resting. When you rest, God works.
Many of Jesus’ healing miracles were done on a Sabbath day.

“After these things, there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now in Jerusalem by the sheep gate, there is a pool, which is called in Hebrew, “Bethesda”, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of those who were sick, blind, lame, or paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water; for an angel went down at certain times into the pool, and stirred up the water. Whoever stepped in first after the stirring of the water was healed of whatever disease he had. A certain man was there, who had been sick for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had been sick for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, but while I’m coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Arise, take up your mat, and walk.” Immediately, the man was made well, and took up his mat and walked. Now it was the Sabbath on that day. So the Jews said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath. It is not lawful for you to carry the mat.” He answered them, “He who made me well, the same said to me, ‘Take up your mat, and walk.’ ” Then they asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Take up your mat, and walk’?” But he who was healed didn’t know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a crowd being in the place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “Behold, you are made well. Sin no more, so that nothing worse happens to you.” The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. For this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill him, because he did these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them, “My Father is still working, so I am working, too.” For this cause therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.” (John‬ ‭5:1-18‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Luke 13:13-16 - The ruler of the synagogue was focused on working, instead of celebrating the amazing miracle of healing that had just happened.
The biggest mistake is to see healing as man’s work.
The ruler of the synagogue’s “ought” was on working. Jesus’ “ought” was on the woman receiving healing.

“He laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight, and glorified God. The ruler of the synagogue, being indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the multitude, “There are six days in which men ought to work. Therefore come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day!” Therefore the Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath, and lead him away to water? Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?”” (Luke‬ ‭13:13-16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Hebrews 4:11 - You have a Shepherd who watches over you. When you rest, God works.
Labor to remain in God’s rest by believing that you are already righteous, forgiven and able to receive every supply that you need from God.

“Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.” (Hebrews‬ ‭4:11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ecclesiastes 3:11 - When you have no faith to believe for healing, just rest in Jesus’ faith, trusting His faith to carry you through.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can’t find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.” (Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

If you feel hungry inside that even food cannot satisfy, you are craving for God’s word.

Proverbs 4:22 - Read God’s word regularly and you will stay healthy. It is better to be healthy than to be healed.
The most important thing is to attend to God’s words. Make it your priority.

“For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body.” (Proverbs‬ ‭4:22‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Nehemiah 3:1 - This Sheep Gate is the same one as mentioned in John 5.
The name “Eliashib” means “God restores”.
The name “Hammeah” means “the hundred”. Just like how Jesus said that He would leave the 99 sheep and look for the 1 lost sheep until He finds it (Luke 15:4).
The name “Hananel” means “Grace of God”. It’s another way of saying “the house of Grace”.
God restores His sheep in the house of grace. Jesus healed the crippled man by the Sheep Gate.

“Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built the sheep gate. They sanctified it, and set up its doors. They sanctified it even to the tower of Hammeah, to the tower of Hananel.” (Nehemiah‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Pastor Joseph Prince released words of knowledge for healing:

Someone’s heart is being healed. The person always puts the hand on the heart area.

Someone has injured the upper arms, and the mobility is affected.

Someone who broke out with rashes on the face recently.

A child with a hole in the heart who is always going to the hospital. The Lord is holding the child’s heart.

Someone with problem with joints.

Someone who is grinding the teeth.

People with pain in cervical and lumbar areas.

Someone who can’t sit for long because of pain in the tailbone area.

Someone with prostate condition.

Sinusitis.

Gastro area Cancer.

Someone with pain in the upper cervical area.

Someone with pain in the knees.
