The church is not a building. It’s the many-membered body of Christ.

In the early church, the Lord’s Supper was in the central place. They broke bread from house and house.
When the apostle Paul was around, the purpose of the gathering was still to break bread and not to hear him.

The Lord’s Supper is a proclamation of Jesus’ death. It is also the Lord’s love language towards us.

Pastor Prince received a commission from the Lord to bring back the Lord’s Supper to central place in this season of his life.

Pastor Prince met VP Pence at the White House. From start to finish, they talked about Jesus. VP Pence is a man of God.

Luke 19:1-2 - Jericho was a cursed city—after Joshua conquered the city, he declared a curse upon whoever would rebuild the city.
God had probably been working on Zacchaeus’ heart, convicting him of his sinfulness, prior to this meeting with Jesus.
The whole earth is like a cursed city—it is fallen.
Heaven is a real place filled with young people who are joyous. There is no death, sickness or depression there.
Jesus came to the city of the curse and brought blessings.
Zacchaeus saw a huge crowd, but he was looking for Jesus.
You need to look past the people and see Jesus.
Zacchaeus was short and could not see past the crowd, so he climbed up the tree to look at Jesus.
Whenever you want to see Jesus, Jesus is looking out for you.
Jesus will look past the cacophony of noises and look for you who are sincerely looking for Him.
In the wilderness, the children of Israel were bitten by fiery serpents and only all those who looked intently at the bronze serpent on the pole (a picture of Jesus on the cross) lived.

“He entered and was passing through Jericho. There was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector, and he was rich.” ‭‭(Luke‬ ‭19:1-2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Jesus talked about money a lot. God wants us to prosper for His glory and be able to finance the Gospel to go forth to all the world. Don’t rush for get-rich quick schemes. Ask God for wisdom on how to invest and grow your money the best way. Use money to love people—never love money and use people.

Grace is a freely received but Rewards are earned through faithful stewardship

Today’s generation is so well-connected through social media and the Internet, but people are feeling more unhappy and lonely than ever.
Many societies are more prosperous than ever before, but people are still morose and unhappy—more than ever.

We cannot get our affirmation from other people or through social media likes.
People who adore you today can be screaming for your crucifixion tomorrow—Jesus knew that and experienced it.

Adam was originally clothed by the glory of God but when he sinned, it departed from him.
Adam was hiding behind a fig tree and had used its leaves to cover himself and his wife.

Luke 19:3-10 - Study the “should”, “ought to” and “must” uttered by Jesus in the four gospels.
There are revelations in those passages that will secure your heart in God’s promises.
In the Garden of Eden, God asked Adam where he was, to signify that Adam had lost fellowship with God.
Zacchaeus’ name means “righteous/just one”. Jesus called his name and asked him to come down from the tree—justification by Grace alone.
In Israeli courts, when the judge pronounces someone not guilty, he says “Zakai”.
Before this chapter, Jesus had an encounter with the rich young ruler who boasted in the Law.
When you boast in the Law, you will always find that you’re still lacking.
Jesus said that He “must” stay at Zacchaeus’ house because now that he is saved by Grace through faith, God’s promises are guaranteed to him.
The rich young ruler who boasted in the Law couldn’t even give one shekel, but Zacchaeus who was never told to keep any Laws was so generous that he opened his heart and wallet.
Grace is free. Jesus never used healing or deliverance to claim the recipients as His own. These were free gifts.
Bartimaeus’ encounter with Jesus is put in between the story of the rich young ruler and the story of Zacchaeus.
Both the rich and poor need Jesus.
“Salvation” in Hebrew is Jesus’ name “Yeshua”. He said that He Himself had come to Zacchaeus house.

“He was trying to see who Jesus was, and couldn’t because of the crowd, because he was short. He ran on ahead, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was going to pass that way. When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” He hurried, came down, and received him joyfully. When they saw it, they all murmured, saying, “He has gone in to lodge with a man who is a sinner.” Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much.” Jesus said to him, “Today, salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”” ‭‭(Luke‬ ‭19:3-10‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Luke‬ ‭19:11-26‬ - This story happened in the last leg of Jesus’ journey towards Jerusalem to be crucified.
The people of Israel had mistakenly thought that Jesus would overthrow the Roman government right away and rule from Jerusalem immediately, but they didn’t understand that Jesus’ first coming was to save us from our sins.
After the Rapture, Jesus will return again for Israel and He will rule the nations, succeeding where other ambitious empires had failed before Him.
The feast that Zacchaeus threw for Jesus was like a final feast that God the Father threw for Jesus.
Of all stories that Jesus could have shared, He talked about money.
We are all saved by Grace, but our positions in the new earth will be different—it depends on our stewardship and faithfulness.
Eternal rewards will be determined by how believers proved their faithfulness in the use of their gifts and resources.
Faithful believers will have rulership over more cities as one of the rewards.
Jesus is not a hard man. The third servant in the parable represents an unbeliever.
In God’s eyes, putting money in the bank is the least thing you can do (a last resort). He wants us to invest our money.
In the Bible, there are 500 verses on prayer. There are more than 2000 verses on money.
15% of what Jesus talked about has to do with money.
God wants His people to be wise.
There is a new intimidation today—it’s like preachers don’t dare to talk about money in church.
Con artists will tell you that if you give an offering of $100 it will multiply back and you will receive $10000.
They will ask you to buy holy water anointed by them and you can’t get it elsewhere.
However, don’t throw the baby out with the dirty bath water. God wants you wise in your finances.
Depend on God’s favor to prosper your business and your career.
God gave Joseph wisdom and favor to prosper in Potiphar’s household.
God didn’t promise to make every believer a multi-millionaire.
God promised that He is your shepherd and that you will not lack.
He promised that you will have more than enough to be a blessing to others.
When you think that you’ll be satisfied with $7000 a month, that’s selfish. Why not pray for double that and give the surplus of $7000 away to the poor?
Let’s not be hypocrites and be angry when preachers talk about healing and prosperity.
God wants the church to be health and well-provided for.
Pastor Prince is not for avarice, greed and covetousness—he hates that.

“As they heard these things, he went on and told a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that God’s Kingdom would be revealed immediately. He said therefore, “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. He called ten servants of his, and gave them ten mina coins, and told them, ‘Conduct business until I come.’ But his citizens hated him, and sent an envoy after him, saying, ‘We don’t want this man to reign over us.’ “When he had come back again, having received the kingdom, he commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by conducting business. The first came before him, saying, ‘Lord, your mina has made ten more minas.’ “He said to him, ‘Well done, you good servant! Because you were found faithful with very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’ “The second came, saying, ‘Your mina, Lord, has made five minas.’ “So he said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities.’ Another came, saying, ‘Lord, behold, your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief, for I feared you, because you are an exacting man. You take up that which you didn’t lay down, and reap that which you didn’t sow.’ “He said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth will I judge you, you wicked servant! You knew that I am an exacting man, taking up that which I didn’t lay down, and reaping that which I didn’t sow. Then why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank, and at my coming, I might have earned interest on it?’ He said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina away from him, and give it to him who has the ten minas.’ “They said to him, ‘Lord, he has ten minas!’ ‘For I tell you that to everyone who has, will more be given; but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.” ‭‭(Luke‬ ‭19:11-26‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

God wants you to be well-supplied

Job 11:6 - Wisdom has two sides—there's literal and spiritual interpretations to the Scriptures.

“that he would show you the secrets of wisdom! For true wisdom has two sides. Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves.” ‭‭(Job‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 105:37 - When God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt, He brought them out with silver and gold.
This prosperity was not for themselves but to build God’s tabernacle which was filled with gold and silver.

“He brought them out with silver and gold. There was not one feeble person among his tribes.” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭105:37‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

3 John 1:2 - Picture God saying this to you Himself.
Prospering in all things includes financial prosperity.
God wants you to prosper for a purpose: to be a blessing to others.

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.” ‭‭(3 John‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Deuteronomy 8:18 - God gives you power to get wealth to establish His covenant.

“But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today.” ‭‭(Deuteronomy‬ ‭8:18‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

God gave Joseph wisdom to set aside one-fifth (20%) of Egypt’s resources to prosper through the 7 years of famine.
Save 20% of your income, tithe 10% and set aside 10% to invest.
God will command His blessing upon your storehouse—if you have nothing in your storehouse, then it will remain as nothing—learn to set aside money as savings and how to invest as led by God.

For singles: don’t focus on finding the right one. Focus on being the right one by God’s Grace.

God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.

Don’t rush for get-rich quick schemes. Ask God for wisdom on how to grow your money the best way.

One of the best ways to ruin friendships is to have money relationships such as borrowing and lending/ investing that are not governed clearly in black-and-white.

Don’t overstay your welcome in your neighbor’s house lest he hate you. God gives us practical wisdom for daily living.

God wants us to prosper for His glory and be able to finance the Gospel to go forth to all the world.
Use money to love people—never love money and use people.

Pastor Prince prayed for us to receive supernatural debt cancellation. God is a debt-canceling God.
It will happen legally but also supernaturally—you will know it’s the hand of God at work.

When Jesus hung on the cross, all our sins were fully paid for. He cried “Finished”, signifying that our sin debt has been totally paid.

I highly recommend purchasing Pastor Prince's sermons on his mobile app "Joseph Prince" on Apple App Store or Google Play Store even after you read these notes as I may have missed out something he shared and the overall experience is definitely different when you listen to him preaching directly!
