John 1:17 - The Law was given from a distance, but Grace (Jesus) came in person.
The Law is true, but Grace is the truth that will set you free.

“For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

A servant (Moses) can tell you what claims and demands the Master has upon you, but it takes the Son to unveil the heart of God.

Exodus‬ ‭32:30‬ - Moses wasn’t sure (he said “perhaps”) that he could make atonement for Israel, whereas our Lord Jesus went up to the cross sure that He would make atonement for us.

“On the next day, Moses said to the people, “You have sinned a great sin. Now I will go up to Yahweh. Perhaps I shall make atonement for your sin.”” ‭‭(Exodus‬ ‭32:30‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Moses had 2 occasions of 40 days with God—1) Moses came down because of Israel’s idolatry, 2) Moses came down from Mount Sinai after receiving all commandants and statutes from God.
Jesus also had 2 occasions of 40 days with God—1) the testing from the devil in the wilderness.
Jesus came out of the 40 days with the power to bless.
2) Jesus spent 40 days with the disciples on earth after His resurrection.
40 is the number of testing, trial or probation.

Jesus was not tempted to sin. He was tested by the devil.
Jesus had no sin nature, so there was no stirrings inside Him when the devil tried to tempt Him.
Jesus was born of a virgin, being totally free from sin from birth.
Jesus is impeccable. It’s not that He would not sin—He could not sin.
Jesus is like a pure gold bar, tested and verified that there is no impurity in Him.

It’s not enough to know a person’s ways. You must know the person’s heart.
Does God judge and discipline? Yes. But He doesn’t punish believers.

Today the world is interested in creation. In the whole Bible, only only one chapter was dedicated to creation—Genesis 1.
However, Moses wrote 7 chapters dedicated to God’s redemption—Exodus 25-31, corresponding to Moses’ 40 days on Mount Sinai.

Deuteronomy 9:8-12 - During the period of Egypt to Sinai, God dealt with Israel by pure Grace.
There was no record that God was ever angry with them during that time.
Israel kept sinning against God during that time, but God just kept providing for their needs.
It was not dependent on Israel’s goodness, but on His goodness.
Had Israel said “Don’t bless us based on our faithfulness but on Your faithfulness,” God wouldn’t have given them the Law.
The Law was never given to justify man, but to expose man’s sinfulness.
The Law results in the wrath of God. Do you want to be under Law or Grace?
How can we be fulfilled by the shadow (Law), when the substance (Grace) has already been given?
Moses had the Grace to fast for 40 days and 40 nights.
Read the Four Gospels—in the presence of Jesus, no one died. In His presence there is healing and even resurrection.
To partake unworthily of Holy Communion means to act as though your sins are not already all forgiven.
Moses only received the tablets of the Ten Commandments at the end of the 40 days.
Moses broke the two tablets of the Ten Commandments and God wasn’t angry.
If Moses had brought the tablets into the camp, all the children of Israel would have died—the Law is the ministry of death.
Whoever was on Moses’ side gathered to him (specifically the tribe of Levi), and they slew 3000 people who insistent on worshiping the golden calf.
On the other hand, when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Day of Pentecost, 3000 souls were saved.
The second time Moses came down from the mountain with the new tablets of the Law, Moses put them in the Ark of the Covenant—a picture of our sins covered and forgiven because of the blood of Jesus Christ.

“Also in Horeb you provoked Yahweh to wrath, and Yahweh was angry with you to destroy you. When I had gone up onto the mountain to receive the stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant which Yahweh made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water. Yahweh delivered to me the two stone tablets written with God’s finger. On them were all the words which Yahweh spoke with you on the mountain out of the middle of the fire in the day of the assembly. It came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that Yahweh gave me the two stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant. Yahweh said to me, “Arise, get down quickly from here; for your people whom you have brought out of Egypt have corrupted themselves. They have quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them. They have made a molten image for themselves!”” ‭‭(Deuteronomy‬ ‭9:8-12‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Israel boasted in their ability to do anything that God wanted (Exodus 19).
They pledged obedience to whatever contract without seeing it first.
Right after that, God covered the mountain in a dark cloud and said that whoever approached would die. Before that, God never did this.
What was the result of Israel’s boasting? They committed idolatry by making a golden calf to worship.

Under Grace, we can draw near to God and receive more life—it is a new and living way.
The blood of bulls and goats only provides a temporary covering.
The blood of Jesus provides a lasting forgiveness.
The blood of Jesus has made us totally righteous.
God the Father is so pleased with Jesus’ finished work.
We are no longer under Law, but under Grace. We are sons, not just servants.

Everything in the Tabernacle points to Jesus and His finished work at the cross

Exodus 24:17-25:8 - Pastors and preachers, do not take an offering from people unwillingly—instead of giving, they are ‘giving in’ to their guilt.
When Israel came out of Egypt, they came out with material riches.
The gems on the high priest’s breastplate came from Egypt. It’s a typology of the Jews and Gentiles being placed together in Jesus.
Blue comes first—the divinity of Jesus. Jesus came from Heaven. Purple comes next—the kingship of Jesus. Red—the color of man’s blood. Jesus is a Man.
Purple is in between highly contrasting colors blue and red—Heaven and Earth met.
The Tabernacle’s outermost covering is seal hides. Israel could have retrieved them when God opened up the Red Sea.
If you try to save your life you will lose it. If you lose your life for Jesus’ sake, you will find it. Find a way to serve Jesus.
Acacia wood represents the incorruptible nature of Jesus—we have also received the same nature in Christ.
Oil for the light gives you enlightenment—we receive this through God’s word.
When Israel was going through the furnace in Egypt, God was speaking to Moses out of a burning bush.
God meant that Israel was burning but they will not burn out.
Israel is still here today after so many civilizations went extinct.
When Joshua and the children of Israel were about to go to war, God appeared as a commander of the army.
When Jesus came to save us, He came as a Man.
After Jesus’ ascension, He sent the Holy Spirit—Jesus in His unlimited spirit form, able to be everywhere at once.

“The appearance of Yahweh’s glory was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel. Moses entered into the middle of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights. Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, that they take an offering for me. From everyone whose heart makes him willing you shall take my offering. This is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, brass, blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair, rams’ skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood, oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense, onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate. Let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.” ‭‭(Exodus‬ ‭24:17-25:8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Exodus 25:10-11 - Man would start teaching about the bronze altar of burnt offering first.
The burnt altar has four corners—Jesus’ finished work made atonement for the four corners of the earth.
However, of all things that God commanded Moses to build, He told him about the Holy of Holies first.
Gold refers to divine righteousness. Because of Jesus’ finished work, we have received the righteousness of God as a gift.
The wood represents Jesus as a Man. The gold that overlays the wood represents Jesus as God.

““They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Its length shall be two and a half cubits, its width a cubit and a half, and a cubit and a half its height. You shall overlay it with pure gold. You shall overlay it inside and outside, and you shall make a gold molding around it.” ‭‭(Exodus‬ ‭25:10-11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Exodus 25:20-22 - Cherubim are not little babies playing harps in Heaven.
They are powerful guardians of God’ holiness. They are there for judgment, not to show you Grace.
God loves to speak from a place of mercy.

“The cherubim shall spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat. You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I will give you. There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the testimony, all that I command you for the children of Israel.” ‭‭(Exodus‬ ‭25:20-22‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

7 is the number of perfection. The high priest would sprinkle blood before the ark of the covenant 7 times, once a year.
You have a perfect standing before God.
Even when you have negative thoughts, your righteous standing before God doesn’t change.

The Ark of the Covenant represents Jesus. It is a type of Jesus. Jesus is not literally a box.
The types and shadows under the Law all point to Jesus.

God lays up sound wisdom for the righteous.
A born-again child of God has wisdom, whereas a street-smart unbeliever can only have man’s knowledge.

John 20:11-12 - Jesus was lain in a tomb where no one was ever placed in before.
Joseph of Arimathaea gave his tomb to Jesus.
Because Joseph was probably shorter than Jesus, they had to extend the area in the tomb where the body was to be placed.
You can see this when you go to the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem.
Mary saw the real Ark of the Covenant.

“But Mary was standing outside at the tomb weeping. So, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb, and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭20:11-12‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Tabernacle truths lead us to good success through the Holy Spirit

In the Holy Place there are three pieces of furniture: the Golden Altar of Incense, the Golden Menorah and the Golden Table of Showbread.
The table is for God to eat from. In the Gospel of John after Jesus blessed the Samaritan woman by the well, He said He had food to eat that the disciples didn’t know about.
When Jesus healed the Syrophoenician woman’s demon-possessed daughter, He gave her the children’s bread (healing)—there is more than enough for you to receive.
Heaven is full of resources that are untapped. There is more than enough. Feel free to receive as much as you need.

Your salvation is forever. You cannot lose your salvation.
Any doctrine that teaches you can be saved today and lose it tomorrow is a miserable false doctrine that dishonors Jesus’ finished work at the cross.

Exodus 25:39 - The Menorah is made of a talent of pure gold, beaten from one slab of gold.
The Menorah is a picture of the church.
How was the church formed? It came out from Jesus’ side.
We are the branches, Jesus is the Vine.
Whenever people praise you, remember to give all glory to Jesus.
Always shine the lamp at the one who deserves it: Jesus.
The primary function of the lamp-stand is to point to Jesus.
In the Book of Revelation, when Jesus said that He can remove a lamp-stand, it’s not about losing one’s salvation.
It’s about removing the influence of a person’s local church.

“Their buds and their branches shall be of one piece with it, all of it one beaten work of pure gold. You shall make its lamps seven, and they shall light its lamps to give light to the space in front of it. Its snuffers and its snuff dishes shall be of pure gold. It shall be made of a talent of pure gold, with all these accessories.” ‭‭(Exodus‬ ‭25:36-39‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Exodus 30:1 - We only find the altar of incense mentioned in this chapter—many chapters since Exodus 25.
In between, God tells Moses about the high priest garments, and other things.
Why is the altar only mentioned so much later?
Because without the high priest, there can be no intercession.
Jesus Himself is the altar of incense that brings sweet incense to God the Father.

““You shall make an altar to burn incense on. You shall make it of acacia wood.” ‭‭(Exodus‬ ‭30:1‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

At Mount Carmel, Elijah prayed for fire to fall from Heaven, and fire fell, consuming the sacrifice and even all the water that Elijah had prepared.
At the cross, when God the Father poured out His judgment on Jesus, Jesus was not consumed—Jesus absorbed it all and still remained alive.
Jesus called God “Father” again after all the judgment was finished.
Why was Jesus raised from the dead? His work was accepted by God the Father.

Psalm 26:6 - Only shed blood can make atonement for sins.

“I will wash my hands in innocence, so I will go about your altar, Yahweh;” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭26:6‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The altar of burnt offering is made of copper.
Copper is very sturdy. It cannot be consumed by the fire.
It represents Jesus who absorbed all the wrath of God in Himself and wasn’t consumed.

Jeremiah‬ ‭1:14‬ - Every side of the Tabernacle has a truth that leads you to good success.
When a worshipper enters the Tabernacle, he enters from the east.
The lamb that is brought as an offering is killed on the north side of the Tabernacle.
Evil comes from the north. At the place where evil is supposed to come into your life, Jesus’ finished work has put a stop to it!

“Then Yahweh said to me, “Out of the north, evil will break out on all the inhabitants of the land.” ‭‭(Jeremiah‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Today when people of the world teach Jesus as a great psychologist and leader, without believing in the atoning work of the cross, they are eating the lamb raw—it is a dangerous doctrine.

2 Corinthians‬ ‭8:9 - Jesus was made poor at the cross so that today we can be made rich.
There is no way you can spiritualize this truth because the passages before and after this talks about money.

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.” ‭‭(2 Corinthians‬ ‭8:9‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Matthew‬ ‭26:31 - Jesus was left alone so that today we can have friends.
For pastors and leaders, Jesus was smitten and all His disciples scattered so that today your congregation can be held together. Don’t be afraid of losing people.

“Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭26:31‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Leviticus 1:16 - The east side of the Tabernacle is the place of ashes.
The final form when fire burns something is ashes.
Through Jesus’ finished work at the cross, your sins have been burnt to ashes.
When a person brings a sin offering, the lamb receives the sin and the offerer receives the righteousness of the lamb.
The sun rises from the east. When the sun rises, the first place it shines on is the place of ashes.
When you feel condemned and self-occupied, look at the cross and remember that your sins have been reduced to ashes—God has already accepted you because of Jesus’ sacrifice.
In the ashes is the fatness. In Jesus’ finished work is the anointing.

“and he shall take away its crop with its filth, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, in the place of the ashes.” ‭‭(Leviticus‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Ezekiel 47:1 - The waters that flow from the temple of God represents the Holy Spirit—the rivers of living water.
When you cannot understand the truth of the altar (Jesus’ finished work), you will find it difficult to follow the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is very good looking, majesty and stately—He is totally unblemished and free from sin. The Holy Spirit is of the same image.
Don’t make weird statements claiming it to be led by the Holy Spirit.
If you see a woman wearing a lot of makeup, don’t say that the Holy Spirit in you is grieved because of that—you’re just plain jealous of how she looks good with the makeup.
Pastor Prince told a joke: How much makeup should a woman wear? It depends on how much her face needs.
The Holy Spirit will never lead you to do something that contradicts God’s word.
For example, He will never lead you to commit adultery.
When you are sin-conscious, you will project that on other people.

“He brought me back to the door of the house; and behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward; (for the forefront of the house was toward the east;) and the waters came down from under, from the right side of the house, on the south of the altar.” ‭‭(Ezekiel‬ ‭47:1‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 26:6-8 - For a successful life, you need the house of God (the local church). That’s where the anointing and the refreshing dew of Hermon is.
Don’t forsake the assembling of ourselves together as you see the Rapture drawing near.
Come into the presence of other believers—something good flows between you. Divine strength and encouragement. There is power in the church.
Jesus believes in the local church. In the Book of Revelation, He spoke separate messages to each of the seven (local) churches of Asia Minor, not just one universal message for all.
When you get married, it’s not the universal church that marries you. It is a pastor of a local church.
At a funeral, it’s not the universal church that conducts the funeral service. It’s a pastor of a local church.
There is a universal body of Christ, but God wants us to be planted in a local church and be involved there.

“I will wash my hands in innocence, so I will go about your altar, Yahweh; that I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and tell of all your wondrous deeds. Yahweh, I love the habitation of your house, the place where your glory dwells.” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭26:6-8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

About the Book:

One day when I was singing praises to God, an image floated up in my spirit: a big and beautiful sandcastle being washed away by the waves from the sea.
