4 November 2018 - Decree and Declare a Rain of Blessings Under Grace - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

Praise and Worship songs performed:
  1. This is Amazing Grace - Jeremy Riddle
  2. My King - New Creation Worship
  3. Above All - Michael W. Smith
  4. Shout to the Lord - Darlene Zschech

The sermon “Worship with the Psalms of David” is free for viewing via on livestream  on the “Joseph Prince” mobile app.

When you read something and it brings your heart towards the Lord Jesus, that’s what a devotional is.

Reading the Bible is not about accumulation of knowledge, but about getting into contact with the person of Jesus.

God has ordained pastors and teachers to teach God’s word - they are part of the fivefold ministry. There is a special anointing when they teach God’s word.

All of us are called to care for someone and to teach someone about God’s word, especially to someone new to the faith. But it’s not at the same level as a pastor or teacher.

Cults are started by placing wrong emphasis on the wrong place in the Bible. For example, some cults take something from the Old Testament and build a whole new religion based on a small part of it.

When you study with a teacher of God’s word, he will lead you and present the Scriptures to you so that you’re able to take it.

We are still in the acceptable year of the Lord. It is easy for blessings to come upon us. We can even pray for blessings upon unbelievers.
We are still in the acceptable year of the Lord. It is easy for blessings to come upon us. We can even pray for blessings upon unbelievers.

The Holy Spirit calls decreeing blessings in faith "earnest prayer" to God

Pastor Prince shared a testimony about a an elderly man called Mark from Virginia in USA who was healed from Alzheimer’s Disease by partaking consistently of the Holy Communion.

We need to feed on God’s word daily because every day we have fresh battles.
In the wilderness, God told the children of Israel not to keep the manna for the next day, but to gather a new batch every day.
Some children of Israel kept the manna overnight and the manna stank and bred worms.
We cannot survive on yesterday’s time spent in God’s word. We need to feed daily.

The Father God doesn’t look like an old man with a white beard.
Growing old is part of the curse. In heaven, no one is old. God the Father is forever young, and the Lord Jesus is also forever young.
If you learn to walk with God, you can enjoy the blessings of Psalm 92 - The psalm of the Sabbath.
The righteous will flourish like the palm tree. The palm tree grows straight and stalwart.
Every part of that tree is used, even in its old age.
The cedar tree is a very beautiful and handsome tree. It is an evergreen tree.
Believers are planted in the house of the Lord and we will flourish here.
The words “old age” here in Hebrew is sebah.
The King James Version of the Bible says that the righteous will be fat and flourishing. Fat in the Hebrew means full of sap. Flourishing means “green” - young.

“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in Yahweh’s house. They will flourish in our God’s courts. They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,” (Psalms 92:12-14 WEB)

James 5:17-18 - There is a prayer that we can pray that can affect heaven and earth.
Elijah is just a human being like any of us. We can all pray and see effective results like Elijah.
We don’t pray just to get soothed or feel comforted - we pray to bring heaven down to earth and see results.

“Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months. He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.” (James 5:17-18 WEB)

I Kings 17:1 - Elijah was not afraid of the king because he was a man who lived before God.
When you have power with God you have power with man.
God delights in people who have power with Him.
The pre-incarnate Christ appeared to Jacob and Jacob wrestled with Him until morning. Jacob’s heart was in the right place.
God gave Jacob a new name: Israel, which means prince of God.
When Jacob was strong and wrestled with God, the Lord wanted to leave. But once the Lord touched Jacob in the socket of his hip, causing him to fall to the ground and become handicapped, God could not leave because Jacob was now helpless.
In the verse below, Elijah prayed a prayer of declaration, not like the traditional way of prayer in our mind which is a person closing his eyes and kneeling on the ground.
In James, the Holy Spirit calls this prayer earnest prayer.

“Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As Yahweh, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”” (1 Kings 17:1 WEB)

Elijah prayed again for the rain to come on Mount Carmel.
But before he did that, Elijah issued a challenge in front of the whole nation of Israel that was still halting between two camps: Yahweh and Baal.
Elijah said that the God who answered by fire and consumed the sacrifice would prove to be the true God.
The prophets of Baal prayed from morning until noon but no one answered. When Elijah prayed, God answered by fire and consumed the sacrifice.
God’s fire did not burn up the people so it means that they were forgiven, and now Elijah can righteously pray for the rain (which represents God’s favor) to come again.

I Kings 18:41-46 - The wicked king Ahab was a carnal king and all he wanted was to eat and drink without caring about giving glory to God.
Most of these time we only give glory to God when we are in a situation and pray to God, and He saves us from it. But we don’t give Him glory from the things we didn’t know that God protected us from.
A higher blessing from God is that He protects us from even getting us into a bad situation.
Let us give glory to Jesus whether in good times or bad.
Those who are in tune with the Holy Spirit will be able to hear the sound of the coming rain.
Pastor Prince says that he hears the sound of coming rain for us in the coming year of 2019 - abundance, favor, provision and all blessings.
When the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah, he could run faster than Ahab riding on a chariot.
When you wait for the Lord, you will walk and not be weary, run and not be faint.
The fire falling on the sacrifice and not on the people is a foreshadowing of the age of Grace that came after the cross of Jesus Christ.
In the future during the Millennium, Judgment will happen quickly but that’s not the dispensation we are in right now.

“Elijah said to Ahab, “Get up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed himself down on the earth, and put his face between his knees. He said to his servant, “Go up now, and look toward the sea.” He went up, and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” He said, “Go again” seven times. On the seventh time, he said, “Behold, a small cloud, like a man’s hand, is rising out of the sea.” He said, “Go up, tell Ahab, ‘Get ready and go down, so that the rain doesn’t stop you.’” In a little while, the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. Yahweh’s hand was on Elijah; and he tucked his cloak into his belt and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.” (1 Kings 18:41-46 WEB)

The most demon-possessed person in the Bible is the Gaderene demoniac. Three signs of demonic activity: 1) shedding one’s clothes, 2) isolating oneself from others, 3) cutting oneself.
Jesus traversed the sea to deliver that one man.
Jesus cast the demons out from the demoniac with one word: “Go”.
After the demoniac was delivered, he was seated, clothed, and in his right mind.
That man became an evangelist for Jesus. No wonder the devil tried to stop Jesus from reaching that man by sending a storm to wreck the boat.
When a person is influenced by a spirit, they become supernatural.
A demon-possessed person can become really physically strong. No one could bind the demoniac when he was still demon-possessed.
That’s why Elijah could outrun Ahab’s chariot when the Holy Spirit was upon Elijah.

Sandcastles Don't Last Forever

$14.99 $9.99

This is the eBook version.

If you prefer to get the Paperback version (physical copy), you can get it on Amazon here for US$15.

About the Book:

One day when I was singing praises to God, an image floated up in my spirit: a big and beautiful sandcastle being washed away by the waves from the sea. God was teaching me the futility of holding tightly onto worldly possessions because like the sandcastle, they won't last, and one day will cease to exist.

He taught me from His word to focus on Him and by doing so, I would reap great eternal rewards before Jesus' throne at the start of the Millennium. These rewards will last forever and can't be destroyed or stolen.

It is my prayer that the revelations in this book will help you to live with a focus on the things above where God is, fulfill your God-given calling in life, be happier and to accumulate more eternal rewards to your account.

In this Book, you will learn about:

- Heavenly investment advice and the futility of worldly pursuits from a trillionaire in the Bible

- Why God has to reward us in order to be righteous

- When and how God will destroy the current earth and sky to make way for new ones

- The types of fireproof works that earn eternal rewards at the end of time

- The abundant rewards of doing good works while abiding by the non-disclosure agreement between God and you

- The difference between the temporary places of torment: Sheol and Abaddon

- Who is the Antichrist and his name revealed in the Bible

- What is the Mark of the Beast and why it disqualifies its recipients from receiving salvation

- The different judgments at the throne of Jesus Christ and what it means for you as a believer

- How to fulfill your calling and maximize your gifts to receive the best eternal rewards

Testimonials about the contents of this book:

"Sandcastles Don't Last Forever is very well written, its message loud and clear. Milton Goh gives common-sense insight on often confusing Scripture, which is much appreciated in these troubled times. My understanding of the Bible has definitely improved."

- Mike Garrett, first Editor/ Publisher for Stephen King and Author of Christian Novel "Innocence Denied", from USA

"This book is absolutely breathtaking. We don't work to be saved but were created to do good works. I am so energized and excited to know God values our works and we will be rewarded. This is all Glory to Jesus... I cant wait to throw my crowns at his feet and thank him for saving my life!" - Evangelist Michael Clark from USA

"Dear Milton Goh, I truly thank our Abba, Father for the revelations in this book. It is so amazing how I begin to discover important verses in the Bible that I have never read. That instead of following riches, with sleepless nights, and actually shortening our lives, we are just to 'Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ', and 'Love one another'. How beautiful to find out that actually in the Bible there is both 'Earthly or Worldly Investment Wisdom' and 'Eternal Investment Wisdom' according to the revelations here from Ecclesiastes 5:14-17 WEB)!; “It seems like Solomon was not only wise at earning material riches but also at earning eternal riches.” All the glory to our Lord Jesus Christ! God bless you Milton Goh for such a wonderful book!" - Nitta Nierra from Belgium

“Thank you Milton. I have just finished reading “Sandcastles Don’t Last Forever”. It’s such a good book that's filled with God's word. I love it very much. Might read again if I have the time. Thanks so much!” - Mally Chai from Singapore

"I'm reading this book and loving it! The revelations of the Gospel truth shared and it's life applications are absolutely amazing! I give glory to the Lord Jesus for my dear brother Milton for this exceptional resource. I'm gonna keep feeding on its contents and believe God for supernatural breakthroughs as my mind is renewed in Christ!" - Terence from Tombel, Cameroon

“Excellent book!! I enjoyed reading it so much and definitely recommend it! Milton is so gifted and all his teachings have blessed me tremendously! I thank God for people like him. Get this book, it will be worth it!” - Madeleine from SA, “Unmerited Favor” tier patron

In this dispensation of Grace, blessing is easy while judgment is hard

The first time Elijah prayed for there to be no rain, a proclamation in faith, the Holy Spirit calls that earnest prayer.
The second time Elijah prayed for the rain to come again, the Holy Spirit only calls that praying again.
The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth.
As a believer we shouldn’t be begging God in prayer.
When you declare in faith, it is truly partnering with God.

Under the Old Covenant, judgment was easy while blessing was hard.
Those who believe in the Grace of God have a great respect for the Law.
The Law was given to reveal man by. Not to justify man.
It was easy for Elijah to declare for judgment because if Israel failed in any commandment, they would be cursed.

Under the New Covenant, everything changed. Today, blessing is easy. That’s why we only need to declare it.
God is not behind the problem. The devil is the one behind it.
Just decree and declare the blessing. Judgment is hard under the New Covenant of Grace.

Luke 4:17-20 - We are still in the acceptable year of the Lord.
It is easy for blessings to come upon us. We can even pray for blessings upon unbelievers.
Nearly everyone during Jesus’ time on earth wasn’t saved, and yet they could receive healing from God.
Jesus hadn’t died yet and even the disciples were saved only after Jesus rose again from the dead.

“The book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the book, and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.” (Luke 4:17-20 WEB)

Isaiah 61:2 - This is the passage where Jesus read from in the synagogue. There is a day of vengeance coming when every sin will be punished. Many people like to bring the judgment of the Old Testament into our current dispensation or the future day of vengeance in our current dispensation.
We need to learn how to close the book at the same place where Jesus closed the book.

“to proclaim the year of Yahweh’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;” (Isaiah 61:2 WEB)

A thousand years with the Lord is as one day.
When Jesus come back again during His rule on earth in the Millennium, every sin will be brought into account.
This age of Grace is not about making a stand against sin. It’s about sharing the good news of the Gospel.

Many believers like to call God “El Shaddai”, the “God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob”. All those names are true, but the name above every other name of God that Jesus came to reveal is “Father”.
We can pray because we are near to our Heavenly Father’s bosom.
Prayer is not like a train that is slowly moving closer and closer to God as we pray and pray with much difficulty.
We are not distant from God - we are so near to Him. We pray from victory.

Luke 17:5-6 - When praying for healing, declare for the healing to happen, don’t beg God for it.
You don’t need big faith, you just need a small amount of faith.
The word “say” is in the imperfect tense, which means keep on saying.
A mulberry/sycamore tree has roots that go really deep underground.
No matter how deeply rooted your condition is, it can still be uprooted in faith.
You can declare for a condition in you to be uprooted and thrown into the sea. Keep on declaring it.
You are no longer an earthbound person - you are seated with Christ in heavenly places.
Don’t just ask God - decree.
When Moses cried to God in front of the Red Sea, the Lord asked him why he was still crying out to Him.
Moses already had the authority with him - the rod. He only needed to stretch out the rod in his hand for the Red Sea to be parted.
Today our rod of authority is the name of Jesus Christ.

“The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” The Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.” (Luke 17:5-6 WEB)

I Kings 18:25-39 - It’s one thing to judge sins, but how can God win our affections at the same time, since He is love?
Our altar is the cross of Jesus Christ. Make a stand for the gospel of Jesus Christ. The cross is the symbol of God’s love to the world.
The twelve stones represents the twelve tribes of Israel which God loves.
The four jars and filled three times: 4 multiplied by 3 equals 12.
Jesus was lifted up on the cross at 9am.
When Jesus was born, midnight became midday when angels filled the night sky. When He was on the cross, midday became midnight.
At 3pm, the dark clouds of judgment were spent and dispersed, and Jesus cried out “Finished”, and He breathed out His spirit.
Jesus was still completely alive when the fire of God had been exhausted on Him.
The fire from God did not fall on the nation of Israel but on the sacrifice. The people go free.
Similarly, the fire of God’s Judgment fell on Jesus, not on us.
At Carmel, the judgment consumed the sacrifice, whereas on Calvary, the Sacrifice consumed the judgment.

“Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one bull for yourselves, and dress it first; for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it.” They took the bull which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, “Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice, and nobody answered. They leaped about the altar which was made. At noon, Elijah mocked them, and said, “Cry aloud; for he is a god. Either he is deep in thought, or he has gone somewhere, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he sleeps and must be awakened.” They cried aloud, and cut themselves in their way with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them. When midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the evening offering; but there was no voice, no answer, and nobody paid attention. Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me!”; and all the people came near to him. He repaired Yahweh’s altar that had been thrown down. Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom Yahweh’s word came, saying, “Israel shall be your name.” With the stones he built an altar in Yahweh’s name. He made a trench around the altar, large enough to contain two seahs of seed. He put the wood in order, and cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood. He said, “Fill four jars with water, and pour it on the burnt offering, and on the wood.” He said, “Do it a second time”; and they did it the second time. He said, “Do it a third time”; and they did it the third time. The water ran around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water. At the time of the evening offering, Elijah the prophet came near, and said, “Yahweh, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word. Hear me, Yahweh, hear me, that this people may know that you, Yahweh, are God, and that you have turned their heart back again.” Then Yahweh’s fire fell, and consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces. They said, “Yahweh, he is God! Yahweh, he is God!”” (1 Kings 18:25-39 WEB)

Song of Solomon 8:7 - God’s fire completely consumed all the waters in the sacrifice on Mount Carmel. Water can’t stop Him.

“Many waters can’t quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man would give all the wealth of his house for love, he would be utterly scorned.” (Song of Solomon 8:7 WEB)

Job 22:28-29 - Declare first and then the light will shine on the situation.
When you decree, you are taking your rightful place as a king who is seated in heavenly places with Christ, and God delights in that.

“You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established to you. Light shall shine on your ways. When they cast down, you shall say, ‘be lifted up.’ He will save the humble person.” (Job 22:28-29 WEB)

Under the Law, sacrifices were offered daily because the judgment was greater than the sacrifice. But Jesus’ one sacrifice is greater than all the judgment. His sacrifice is efficacious for all time.

Pastor Prince’s Closing Prayer:
He prayed for us to be drenched in the rain of God’s favor this week, to be protected from all tragedies and powers of darkness, and to enjoy God’s shalom peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Dear Milton Goh brother,

Most of these time we only give glory to God when we are in a situation and pray to God, and He saves us from it. But we don’t give Him glory from the things we didn’t know that God protected us from.
A higher blessing from God is that He protects us from even getting us into a bad situation.

We can pray because we are near to our Heavenly Father’s bosom.
Prayer is not like a train that is slowly moving closer and closer to God as we pray and pray with much difficulty.
We are not distant from God - we are so near to Him. We pray from victory.

But Jesus’ one sacrifice is greater than all the judgment. His sacrifice is efficacious for all time.

I am blessed by the message which you send to me. We are child of our Lord Jesus.

Thank you.

God bless you and your family members!
