We are going to look at hidden truths about Jesus in the Mandarin characters. 

The languages of the people were confused at the Tower of Babel. 
The Jewish and Chinese histories are the two longest preserved ones that have been recorded. 

春 (spring) = 三 (three) + 人 (people) + 日 (day)
Spring represents a day of Grace whereby God became a Man, died for our sins at the cross and rose again on the third day. 

迎春接福 : Welcome Jesus to receive blessings.

Hebrews 10:10 - When you receive Jesus, you are made righteous. 

“by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Hebrews 10:10 WEB)

Hebrews 10:14 - As a believer, you have been made forever righteous. 
The Day of Grace is not about what you can do for God, but what God can do for you. 

“For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.” (Hebrews 10:14 WEB)

We are so focused on taking care of our outward appearance. God wants us to take care of our inside. 
That’s why He sent Jesus to cleanse us from within. 

God’s address on earth today is you and me. 
God doesn’t want to dwell in a temple made by human hands. 
That’s why Jesus’ name is Emmanuel: God with us. 
We are so clean today that God can dwell inside us. We are the temple of God. ​

Spring represents a day of Grace whereby God became a Man, died for our sins at the cross and rose again on the third day. This Chinese New Year, welcome Jesus to usher in blessings!

Jesus' death at the cross is the reason why you can have a good day, everyday!

God forgives us with style: abundantly and with rejoicing. 

Holy Communion is a holy reunion - we come together to have a meal with the Lord. 

When we understand Grace we will express Grace outwardly in our lives. 

When we sit down to eat together for reunion dinner with family, let us not point out faults but come together and abundantly pardon. 
Don’t correct at the table, eat together in joy and peace. 

To find fault, everyone can do that. But to find good, it takes Grace to find. 
Let us be like the woman in Jesus’ parable who carefully searched the house for the lost coin. 

In the culture of Grace, let us embrace and kiss our loved ones more, like the father of the prodigal son in Jesus’ parable. This is the way of Grace. 

Since we’re under Grace, give ang pao (red envelope) for Chinese New Year with style - generously and graciously. 
Don’t hope that you don’t have to give next year. 

Sometimes giving a hug can clear a lot of misunderstandings. 

Psalms 27:13 - You can do good to others when you know that God is good. 
Jesus said only God is good. Trust in the goodness of God.
Pastor Joseph Prince taught that God wants us to be cross-conscious instead of crisis-conscious. 
See that Jesus chose to take the place of sin so that we can place His place of righteousness. 
Always see what Jesus has done for you at the cross. 

“I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living.” (Psalms 27:13 WEB)

早 (Morning) = 日 (Day) + 十 (cross)
Your day must be rested on the cross in order to have a good morning. 

午 (Afternoon) = 人 (Man) + 十 (Cross)
You can have a good afternoon when you focus on the Man on the cross: our Lord Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 54:14 - When the children of Israel encamped in the wilderness, the door of their tents faced the Tabernacle in the middle of the camp. 
We need to wake up facing God. 
Their enemies would have thought that they were crazy to encamp this way because enemies would attack from their behinds.
We don’t need to fight - the Lord fights for us. 

“In righteousness you will be established. You will be far from oppression, for you will not be afraid; and far from terror, for it shall not come near you.” (Isaiah 54:14 WEB)

Numbers 21:7-9 - We live by looking at the bronze serpent on the pole: Jesus Christ at the cross. When we look we are blessed. 

“The people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against Yahweh, and against you. Pray to Yahweh, that he take away the serpents from us.” Moses prayed for the people. Yahweh said to Moses, “Make a venomous snake, and set it on a pole. It shall happen, that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.” Moses made a serpent of brass, and set it on the pole. If a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked at the serpent of brass, he lived.” (Numbers 21:7-9 WEB)

In the wilderness, at Mara, the children of Israel couldn’t drink the bitter waters there. God commanded them to throw a tree into the water.
Throw the cross into the bitter waters of your life and life will become sweet. 

晚 (Night) = 日 (Day) + 免 (Pardon)
We can have a good night and sleep well at night because all our sins have been pardoned at the cross. 
We can buy the best mattress but we cannot buy quality sleep. It is from the Lord. ​

Receive your prosperity when you focus on Jesus and His finished work at the cross

​Exodus 16:12 - There was a day recorded in Chinese history where there were two evenings. It was the day that Jesus died at the cross. 
From noon to 3pm, there was a supernatural darkness over the land when Jesus hung on the cross. 
Jesus died at 3pm. After that there was another evening at 6pm.

“‘I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel; speak unto them, saying, Between the evenings ye eat flesh, and in the morning ye are satisfied [with] bread, and ye have known that I [am] Jehovah your God.’” (Exodus 16:12 YLT1898)

休 (Rest) = (Man Leaning) + (Cross) + (Man) 
When you lean on the Man at the cross, you can enjoy true rest. 

Galatians 3:1 - If you’re not cross-conscious, you’ll be foolish. In Mandarin, bewitched is 迷惑.

“Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly portrayed among you as crucified?” (Galatians 3:1 WEB)

迷 (lost) = 辶 (live) + 十 (cross) + X (without)
When you live without looking at the cross, you’ll be lost in life. 

The way to prosperity is not about what we do on the outside.

The name of Jesus: 耶 (Ear Ear) 稣 (Fish Grain)
Hear the One who multiplied the five loaves and two fishes. 

旺 (Prosperous) = 日 (Day) + 王 (King)
We will be prosperous when we focus on the king daily: Jesus Christ. 

Psalm 63:5-6 - We need to have daily sleep hygiene. Before you sleep at night, focus on Jesus and what He did for you at the cross.
Good things come to those who know that God loves them. 
When you meditate on Jesus and His finished work, your soul will be satisfied. 

“My soul shall be satisfied as with the richest food. My mouth shall praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you on my bed, and think about you in the night watches.” (Psalms 63:5-6 WEB)

The vision in your heart determines what you will experience in life. Say “this is the year of my harvest”. 

Zechariah 10:1 - He wants you to ask Him because He misses you and He wants to connect with you.

“Ask of Yahweh rain in the spring time, Yahweh who makes storm clouds, and he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field.” (Zechariah 10:1 WEB)

If the Rapture is real, why are you worrying daily about your life? We will see Him face to face in the clouds. 

Jesus came to give us a blessed life - a beautiful Spring. 春天百花开！
