15 March 2020 - Rest and Receive Supply for Every Need - Pastor Joseph Prince Sermon Notes - New Creation Church Sermon Notes

Pastor Joseph Prince taught us that position comes before provision. If you find yourself stressed out, sit afresh in Christ. In the posture of rest, you will find the supply for whatever you need.

The virus is not from God.

This is the first ever live-streamed service. God could have allowed this so that people all over the world get to watch and be blessed.

The devil is like a toothless beast on a leash. God is restraining him from doing all the evil that he wants.
God can even turn around what the devil does, for His own glory.

Assembling together physically as a church is God’s best.

Pastor Prince believes that when the COVID-19 ends, it will happen quickly.

The side chamber of the temple of Solomon is the dwelling place of the priests. Today we are royal priests to God.
We live so near to the dwelling of God.

The side chamber has three floors—each successive floor is wider than the one below: five cubits, six cubits, seven cubits.

The first floor is the storage place for the grain, wine and oil.

When Isaac blessed Jacob with the firstborn blessing, there was plenty of grain and wine mentioned.
But when Jacob prayed for Esau afterwards, he didn’t mention the grain or wine.

Esau must have had physical grain and wine in his kingdom. So the firstborn blessing about the grain and wine is not in the natural, but spiritual.

Grain and wine is a picture of the Holy Communion, and this is our Lord Jesus’ love language towards us.

The anointing oil represents the applied power of the Holy Spirit. When we apply the oil and pray, our trust is in the power of the Holy Spirit, not the oil.

A seal is a mark of protection.

The COVID-19 is not a part of the end time judgments from God as written in the Book of Revelation.
We will be transformed and taken up in the Rapture first before the Tribulation begins.

The posture for a believer is not looking forward to the grave, but looking forward to the coming of the Lord Jesus.
It seems like it’s going to be soon because of the frequency of the signs of the end times.

The devil is so afraid because he knows the day of vengeance is coming upon him soon.

Why didn’t God stop Adam from eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil?
God gave mankind free choice. He respects it and will not infringe it.
You are free to choose, but you cannot choose the consequence of your choice.

Our spirit is complete in Christ, but in our body we still experience sinful temptations. Even when we feel these impulses, we can choose to live by faith and not act on them.

Abba God loves you even as He loves Jesus. The one who told Jesus “You are My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased,” loves you.

God gave up Jesus, proving His love for you.
We who have children will most likely not be willing to give them up for a criminal.

The fine flour in the meal offering is a picture of our Lord Jesus. Everything is in perfect proportion, and there’s nothing coarse about Him.
The frankincense in the offering represents how Jesus exudes a fragrance to the Father.

Pastor Joseph Prince taught us that position comes before provision. If you find yourself stressed out, sit afresh in Christ. In the posture of rest, you will find the supply for whatever you need.

Rest in Christ to Enjoy Protection and Youth Renewal

Don’t worry, there’s plenty of grain, wine and oil. The first floor of the side chamber of the temple of Solomon is open for you.
If you don’t feel well, partake of the Holy Communion.

The Levitical priesthood says that you are blessed when you obey God’s law and cursed if you don’t.
But the Melchizedek priesthood is all about blessing with no cursing—this is the priesthood of our Lord Jesus today.

Abraham tithed to Melchizedek. You don’t have to tithe—you get to tithe. Do it by revelation.

For a Christian, when his heart stops beating before Jesus returns, he falls asleep—he doesn’t die.
When you step out of your flesh, you will feel more alive than ever.
However don’t go yet because it is needful for you to be in the flesh—you still have an assignment from God.

Jesus has conquered death. Death holds no fear nor terror for a believer.

In the world, it feels like time and space are being constrained because of the COVID-19 virus.
However Jesus is the Lord of Time and Space. He will manipulate time and enlarge our space for our good!

Jesus can lengthen your good days. Length of days is a blessing.

In Jesus’ first miracle, He turned water into wine. In the natural, you get excellent wine you have to keep wine for many years.
At the wedding in Cana, the wine ran out. It would have been embarrassing for the wedding couple if the wine had really run out. It’s like their joy had run out.
But Jesus turned water into wine and made the best wine.
He turned what would have taken many years into wine in one moment of time. He is the Lord of Time.

When we partake of the Holy Communion, receive it fresh, as if Jesus just died at the cross for you just now.

In Jesus’ second miracle, He demonstrated that He is the Lord of Space.
Jesus spoke a word and healed the nobleman’s son from many kilometers away.
The nobleman showed that he had faith by staying overnight in Cana instead of rushing back to Capernaum on the same day.

There are five components of science: time, force, motion, space, matter.
The Bible begins with this: In the beginning (time), God (force) created (motion) the heavens (space) and the earth (matter).

Spend time on what can really feed you, strengthen you and bless your family and community.
Spend time in God’s word which is bread indeed, and spend time with the Lord which is life.
Labor for the food that endures to eternal life.

John 6:10-13 - The place of the feeding of the five thousand most likely happened on the slopes of Mount Arbel in Israel.
That’s the only high mountain by the Sea of Galilee.
Jesus instructed the multitudes to recline and wait for the food.
Remember this: position before provision. Rest.
God wants to provide you with the solution but not when you’re running around haggard and looking for other answers.
When you sit down at Jesus’ feet, you’ll know the right thing to do and right way to take.
The Holy Spirit had to mention that there was much grass.
It reminds us of Psalm 23, where the Lord our Shepherd makes us lie down in green pastures.
We need not worry about supply. We are lying down in the midst of abundance.
If God can feed the birds of the air and clothe the lilies of the field, He can surely feed and clothe us.
We only need to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness.
The supply is unlimited—have as much as you want. We limit God—God does not restrain our blessings.
Faith is the hand that takes. Jesus said “O you of little faith,” because He wants us to receive much more from His unlimited reservoir of supply.

“Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in that place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. Jesus took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were sitting down; likewise also of the fish as much as they desired. When they were filled, he said to his disciples, “Gather up the broken pieces which are left over, that nothing be lost.” So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which were left over by those who had eaten.” (John‬ ‭6:10-13‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalms‬ ‭91:1 - For every fresh challenge, we need a fresh sitting down. The word “dwells” in the Hebrew is yashav which means to sit.
Yashav has three Hebrew letters: yud, shin, bet.
The word “abide” had the meaning of spending the night.
The “shadow” is a picture of protection.
This verse begins and ends with sitting down.
Yashav appears in code, in reverse in the verse.
The secret place is the Messiah. His identity was hidden for a long time, but we know that He is Jesus.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalms‬ ‭91:1‬ ‭WEB‬)

Ephesians 2:4-10 - We are in Christ risen, far above all principalities and powers.
We are seated far above the COVID-19 virus.
Salvation is given freely to us, but it cost God His Son. Jesus suffered extreme suffering.
Because the cross is outside time, it’s like Jesus still feels the pain of what He suffered at the cross. It’s like it just happened to Him.
There is a show coming for us. What we have seen up till now is just the tip of the iceberg.
The more you sit (rest), the more you will see God’s grace.

“But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.” (Ephesians‬ ‭2:4-10‬ ‭WEB)

Jesus’ obedience at the cross gave God the Father a fresh cause to love Jesus. Jesus was never more pleasing to the Father than when He hung at the cross.
At the cross, as God, He turned His back on Jesus, but as Father, He wept and loved His Son.

It’s all about our relationship with God. It’s not about claiming this and that promise from a place of fear.

The Christian life begins at the finishing post. We begin complete in Christ, perfectly righteousness in Christ.
When we know we have it, we can walk in it.

There is a winding staircase that connects the three floors in the side chamber of the temple of Solomon.
When you’re climbing the winding stairs, you can’t see the top. You can only see the few steps ahead.
Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit—He will lead you one step at a time.

We might not make it to 2030 because Jesus is coming back for us really soon.

The more you give your child the Law by saying “don’t don’t don’t”, he will do it more. It stirs up the sinful flesh.
Find another way to teach them without using “don’t”.

People don’t have a problem believing that Jesus took our sins, but people have a problem believing that Jesus took their sicknesses.
The devil fights this truth because he doesn’t want believers to enjoy good health.
That’s why in Isaiah 53, the Holy Spirit emphasizes that “surely” He has borne our physical sicknesses.

“Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.” (Isaiah‬ ‭53:4‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 91:3 - Yashav is also hidden in code here.
If you want God to deliver you from the snare of the fowler (the devil), just sit.
Position yourself to see the salvation of the Lord.
The devil traps you when you’re not at rest.
Be seated in Jesus. You’re not trying to be healed or blessed—you are already healed and blessed.
The devil wants to move you out of your posture of rest.

“For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence.” (Psalms‬ ‭91:3‬ ‭WEB)

The Hebrew word “yasha” means to save, but it also has the idea of ample space and to be opulent.
The opposite would be narrowness of space and to be in trouble.
The Hebrew name for Egypt is “Mitzraim” which means double stress—to be cramped in.
The world feels like that now, but we can enjoy yasha.

Israel committed two sins that caused them to be removed from the land: idolatry (they exchanged gods) and the lack of rest (they didn’t let the land of Israel rest during the Sabbath years).
Our bodies are made of dust.

When you step out of your body, you are still alive and there must be a place to house eternal spirits.
Hell was created for the devil and his angels, but if you reject Jesus, you have chosen to go to Hell.
Everyone is born with a death sentence hanging over their heads, and are already on their way to Hell.

Jesus talked a lot about Hell. The most loving Person talked the most about Hell.

Hell is not the portion of a believer. We can enjoy days of Heaven on the earth.

The evil day is short, but good days are many. COVID-19 is just a short-lived evil day, but many good days are ahead of us.

Psalm 92:12-15 - Palm trees speaks of fruitfulness and cedars represent the ability to endure and last for a long time.
We must be planted in the house of God. When you’re planted in a good Bible-preaching church, you will also be flourishing outside.
One of the best ways to become old is to complain a lot.
The Hebrew word for complain has the meaning of to spend the night. When you complain you will spend the night in that darkness—the problem remains.
In Psalm 92:14, yashav appears in reverse which means God reverses your old age when you’re resting.
When you don’t rest you will grow old. Don’t keep saying that you’re getting old.
God really wants to renew your youth like the eagles.
God physically renewed Sarah’s youth such that heathen kings wanted her for their harem.
Renewal of youth is available on God’s banquet table. Feel free to take and have it.

“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in Yahweh’s house. They will flourish in our God’s courts. They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green, to show that Yahweh is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” (Psalms‬ ‭92:12-15‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Rest is not inactivity—it is Spirit-directed activity. As you rest in Christ, the charismata (grace gifts) will flow out of that restfulness.
